The Joseph Morton in East Lindsey

Very slow service, once I spoke to the 'manager' I was basically told to wait my turn or "piss off". No idea of her name but chubby and miserable.

The place was a shambles. It was to be fair Saturday lunchtime so busy. First impressions not good as all the available empty tables were full of dirty glasses and plates. We sat at a table and ordered food and drinks. After the second drink had arrived I asked the server if he would clean our table. Eventually somebody took most of the debris away although I had to give him the empty milk sachets myself as he was going to leave them. After another 5 minutes a chap came and said ‘you wanted your table wiped’. Unbelievably he just wiped the half of the table where we sat and left the other 2 places at the table dirty. Food was average, sausages and mash, hot out the microwave as the gravy had a skin on top. We were sat quite near the disabled toilet which was unlocked. There was a procession of people using the toilet, leaving it unlocked and the door wide open. My disabled daughter noted the toilet was dirty and uncleaned when she entered. The emergency cord was placed on top of the sanitary bin. The food like I say was average so it’s only saving grace however, would not return.

Wanted an early lunch.Pub not too busy , ordered before 12. Waited a long time and food stone cold and congealed! Absolutely dreadful and won't be coming again!

Sunday afternoon and Hubbards Hills is the destination. That means a stop off at The Joseph Morton for lunch before moving onward. Two plates of fish and chips made their way over with a couple of lemonades and we settled in brandishing the crusty cutlery. Wetherspoons cutlery is NEVER 100% clean, that's just the way things work, as sure as the sun rises, the crust makes it's way onto a 'Spoons fork. Always. The meals were delicious and the portions were very generous. I think we dropped lucky in that the fish dished up appeared to come from the shark family and we'd needed an entire bowl of batter just to coat the vicious critters. By the time the dorsel fins had vanished we couldn't eat another thing. We left nothing on the plates other than the odd scale and a row of savage looking razor sharp teeth. The shark's, not our own. Excellent meal

When we arrived the tables had been moved together, we asked a young man working there if he could sort them out for us, he did this with pleasure and was very helpful his name is Jack. This young man is an asset to your business he is so polite, It made the meal all so much more enjoyable for me and my wife, so a big thank you, and the meal was really nice. This is our go to place when in Louth.

The wraps and panini's have become a joke over the last few weeks with the fillings getting less and less on each visit, so much so that we are not going to eat there again. It's about time the manager got to task and sorted the staff out as all food portions are supposed to be measured but obviously are not.

Food absolutely terrible fish rubbish, can not cook burgers,manager should go on a course for people management, the only person that should be manager is called Steve,we were there and they let filthy builders in covered in mud discussed with filth

We were had a meal and drinks here in September whilst staying at Kenwood House Hotel. Due to the wretched Covid situation things were not normal so we had to register upon arrival. We then dodged younger members of the public in order to find a table to sit down. We found one in a corner with a screen in between the adjoining table and ordered the meals. We sat down and had our meals delivered by a waitress then four young people sat on the next table and were soon to be joined by several more, some standing really close to us. This was at a time when social distancing was supposed to be in place and small 'bubbles' or 'family members' should have been observed.We were most uncomfortable as they were shouting loudly and drinks were knocked over and they were shouting to some others on the other tables nearby so we had to take our meals and drinks and try to find somewhere else out of the way. We settled at a table near to the garden exit but there was a constant stream of youngsters going back and forth. This was what we thought the only table with some space around it as in one part there was continuous seating. The meals were average to say the least, the only good thing is the price of them and the drinks which are excellent value. However, we would rather pay more to feel safe.When we mentioned this to the waitress she said she would have a word with them, but we didn't want to start a Riot. A most unpleasant time was had and we couldn't wait to leave, never to return - unless we hear that things have changed greatly.

Went in this afternoon to be confronted by complete carnage, all the tables covered with dirty glasses and plates with wasted food, doors open and the pub was freezing, should have listened to the previous reviews they were spot on, dont waste you hard earned money here, complete toilet.

Came for a quick bite to eat with my mum. Really helpful staff regarding Covid guidelines. Easy to order on the app and fast service. Wrap came out cold unexpectedly but staff happy to warm it up. Not your average Spoon's.

Saturday lunch we decided to dine at the Joseph morton of louth ,bad idea ,the mixed grill contained more raw meat and gristle than a morticians slab ,steak haemorrhaged profusely as though id cut a major artery and pork steak very lively as not been killed long.Not wishing to complain and risk getting another I quickly left never to return, past visits have always been very pleasant with good food and clean surroundings, sadly not no more

Popped in for a late lunch with aged inlaws, one in a wheelchair. Very helpful and extremely pleasant staff. Food good in an unhurried atmosphere. Covid precautions in place. Worth a visit.

Sat and ordered 2 brunch breakfasts...tried to order the refillable tea's that came with it,wouldn't let us. Husband calls the waitress as to why it wouldn't let us....oh "we have no milk!" I can get you a black coffee!?. We don't drink coffee else we would have ordered coffee(ok so some people don't know that,not her fault) ok so I can offer you black tea?... Hmmm no thanks. NO MILK?? Could someone not pop to the shop and buy some milk?! Ok so it's after 1.15 pm so husband tries to order a beer for him and a medium glass of wine for me..."damned internet he said..it's not letting me order.....ok order submittedAnother waitress brings over our drinks doubled! Ok so internet was bit off can we have a refund on the second set of drinks as we didn't want them.....waitress goes and asks...Aaannnd no we can't! No explanation no nothing! Food was mostly cold sausages and chips both straight out of deep fat fryer were the only things hot....beans were microwave heated and eggs....well let's not go there.... Disappointed.

First time visiting this morning, had an amazing breakfast, excellent service by the two members of staff that served us,felt really safe as all covid measures are being followed. Well done team louth

Popped in for lunch, first time visiting Louth. The Joseph Morton (a spoons) was very good, covid alert, helpful and keeping everyone safe. Quality of the food was good, quick table service. An enjoyable lunchtime- thank you

Only half coin was required for a feast stacked so high an entire unit of my finest chargers wouldn't grumble! The servants were particularly amicable and sprightly; ale at a whim, meat off the bone, ample space for an encampment.

We ordered the Beyond Burger with chips, Quorn nuggets with chilli sauce and firecracker cauliflower, lightly battered cauliflower bites with sriracha hot sauce. We enjoyed the food which was really flavoursome, especially the burger which had a lovely savoury, barbecued flavour. Brewdog Punk IPA provided the liquid refreshment. The staff were friendly and efficient, working as hard as always. The pub is comfortable, has a pleasing décor and is a combination of two warehouses and two houses built in the early 19th century and named after a local ironmonger, Joseph Morton, whose ironmongery business operated in Louth well into the 20th century.

Called for a breakfast with a group of ex colleagues. Looked hopeful on entry. Well laid out, good covid controls and outdoor seating area available. Ordered a mix of breakfast options and went for the large breakfast minus the toast and hash browns myself. It arrived at the table cold, without mushrooms or black pudding. Queried to be told they were struggling to get mushrooms due to a lack of pickers. Hilarious! Told the chap that may be worth popping to coop down the road. No apologies. Overall, a pretty poor experience that I’ve no intention of repeating.

Went for breakfast, only 3 other people there. Ordered 2 large breakfasts. Having already ordered online at the table, after 10mins, a waitress informed us that they had no sausages or mushrooms and then we discovered there was no ketchup either! When it arrived the tomatoes were raw and hard and the has browns cold, dry and hard. The staff were indifferent and tables were left un-cleared and un-cleaned the whole time we were there. Never again!

Food compared to other Wetherspoons unaccommodating , chef refused to swap a double burger meal for one burger and one piece of buttermilk , food was average also we eat out loads with the kids and use Wetherspoons loads around the country but this one I will avoid bad attitude chef , bar staff lovely and a massive place shame the chef wasn’t good at their job . Customers are trying to support during this hard time covid 19 but these guys don’t want your trade clearly

I’ve been going to Joseph Morton’s since it opened and I’ve been more or less satisfied with the service and food. What’s happened in the last 3 weeks, machines not working, most of the time only one works if your lucky, certain members staff aren’t bothered in the slightest, today a staff member took a breakfast to the table next to us and just said 33, that was it, nothing else not even a smile! every table had cups and plates on them, people had to clean their own so they could sit down. Tables not getting wiped, that’s not good with Coronavirus. I’ve stop eating there as the foods gone down hill along with everything else. There’s two members of staff who care, only wish they were on all the time. I go there as the coffees cheap, would love to say cheerful but it’s not.

A 3pm Tuesday afternoon meal so it was not at all busy. The only member of staff at the order point continued to clean round the bar whilst I waited for 10 minutes to be served. When he decided to serve me there was no apology, indeed he didn’t say a word ; he just stood waiting for the order. Food arrived in reasonable time . However, the steak was so raw & of poor quality that I would not give it to my dog. I informed the staff who merely said “Oh, I will tell the cook “ & walked off !! I have been a regular user of this establishment for some time now, but over the last few months the staff attitude & quality of the food has hit an all time low. I shall not be going back.

The title says it all, you get what you pay for. Not the best meal I’ve ever had but the food arrives quickly and it is decent enough.

Found seat with lack of tables we sat at table with last customers dishes and moved to the side.Ordered via the app, Drinks given first, table not cleared or cleaned,Our Cutlery was then dumped on a dirty table, Old dishes still not removed.Food now given and still no old dishes taken away or table cleaned.I do not care how busy this pub is hygiene and customer service should still prevail.Absolutely Rubbish

Haven't been for a couple of years because very hit and miss whether food would be correct temperature. Visited last night.....food still only luke warm! No vegetable samosas on a curry night! Burnt onion bahjis! Coffee from machine only luke warm. Beer okay. Ran out of some sweets. Understaffed. Not a good example of a JD Wetherspoons. Will not be going again.

Typical cheap food. Mostly fried, boring bland salad. Burger thrown together and into plate. Sticky table and very short staffed. Love better places to eat.

As weather spoons go this is certainly in the top 20%. The food was fresh, nicely cooked, the scene and setting were very nice, atmosphere is excellent, staff friendly and service very good waiting time for food only about 15 minutes on a busy Saturday lunchtime. My wife at the stake in kidney pudding which was excellent. I had the small breakfast with the additional haggis which was also brilliant.

Having eaten here numerous times I can only say it is now a very hit and miss experience, depending on who is in charge at the time, who is the cook [ obviously not chefs as they are only reheating food and frying chips ]. of the hour 1 Tables not cleared, I can't believe there was a mass exodus for all the empty tables to be strewn with dirty plates and glasses. It is acceptable for one or two, but not the majority of tables, though in retrospect when I went up to the bar and asked for it to be wiped down it was done politely and promptly,2 Breakfast tepid food and cold plates.3 Lasagne, has at some times been excellent, and a nicely prepared side , salad but lately chipped salad dish, cucumber more like doorsteps than thinly sliced and lasagne only warm. 4 To finish, yesterday, fish day, fish nice chips, mushy peas and plate cold and . no available staff on the floor to air my grievance to.

We went for breakfast. I ordered English and my husband ordered eggs benedict. When it arrived I tried the baked beans first and they were Luke warm, I called the waitress and she was very nice and said I will get you some more. 5 minutes went by and I had practically finished the rest of my Luke warm food. The bacon was not bacon but ham on a griddle. My husband said his food was not hot. I called the waitress and told her that I did not want the beans, she said but they are ready! I said no I do not want them. Would I eat there again? Guess you No the answer to that? NO

A very relaxed and Welcoming atmosphere, with friendly and efficient staff. The breakfast menu was varied and gave plenty of choice, including vegetarian and vegan. Soya milk available too. The vegan option was delicious, full cooked breakfast with mushrooms, cooked tomato, vegan sausages, hash browns, baked beans, toast !For non vegan /vegetarians the breakfast menu was extensive and my partner said it was excellent. I will definitely visit again and definitely recommend!

This weather spoons is the best thing that ever happened to me as a young man (19 at the time) I have been going here since my 18th birthday nearly everyday and I could not recommend this more. Even is you are an older gentleman or woman this spoons has it all, fabulous staff and fabulous service COULD NOT RECOMMEND MORE. If you ever visit louth this is a must do. Please louth would not be as entertaining as it is if spoons was not a thing.

We had breakfast today 13th December 2019.terrible asked for well cooked bacon.breakfast delivered within two minutes lukewarm my wifes egg not cooked.bacon undercooked and fatty beans warm sausage looked like deep fried my wife up and left I barely ate mine told the duty manager.as I am a retired caterer.absolute rubbish we will never return.this problem will never be alleviated the standards are so poor today.

the whole experience of a visit to this establishment has slowly deteriorated. Im reviewing mainly the breakfast food as this is normally the time we have eaten here.

i eat here a couple of times a month if i fancy a pub dinner . i live 16 miles away but this beats my locals .

I have been here a few times over the years and each time I think "maybe this time I'll have a good experience". I think it's time to accept that this place is just terrible. My most recent experience was this evening, a family get together before my father's funeral tomorrow. I ordered vegan pie with chips but they skipped the chips. I raised this to the attention of the bar lady who said she'd get some sent out. The next thing that happened was the waiter came out to tell me I hadn't ordered chips and I said I had and would have showed him the receipt but the bar lady didn't give me one. Next thing he came back with a copy of the receipt insisting I hadn't ordered it and would have to go up and pay extra for it. The side of chips was £1.45 so I was flabbergasted that he wanted to argue the toss about it. Perhaps I'm just used to classier places but I couldn't believe his attitude. I told him to forget about it and that we wouldn't be returning. Wetherspoons, returning customers are worth much more that £1.45 (especially when it's the staff's error).

Eat at this pub three times in 3 days.Great variety of food.Would recommend particularly for families

Service at the bar was very slow for a late Saturday afternoon, all four of us ordered food, food came and wasn’t very hot, pie came without gravy despite being advertised with, was told we would have to pay extra for gravy.... waitress was asked twice about missing gravy..... no one asked how the meals were which being very generous were mediocre at best! Customer service needs vast improvement, staff all seem to be very young and no one seemed to be in authority for us to speak to, having eaten here before we were very disappointed!

Came here for the last little time we had in louth. Granted, only stumbled across it. Its a weather spoons, so going to be cheap. Loved the decor, staff and manager, which was having a problem with the fosters that i wanted. he was very good in making me feel i was important and needed to serve me quick. It is a very busy pub, but I loved the fact it was not and old cinema as usual! but a nice old building with plenty of seating areas outside and in. Loved this place.

Came into the pub at the weekend for a juicy pint of Fosters and honestly I’m not going to lie it was the best pint of fosters I’ve ever drunk in my entire career. Will be coming back. Will be buying another fosters. Will be reviewing the next fosters, keep up the good work team Joey M

Came for lunch today. Not only was I ignored at the bar (twice) while waiting to order, what I wanted they’d ran out of so I had to quickly think of something else. Then I wasn’t given the fruit bags that come with the kids meals. I had to go back later and ask for them. We waited for well over half hour for our meals even though it wasn’t particularly busy. There just didn’t seem to be any food coming out of the kitchen! My husband had half a plate full and it was lukewarm. Mine was barely lukewarm. My sons gravy had lumps of ice in it so his meal had to be sent back! My daughters grilled chicken breast was tough as rubber so she barley ate it. Everyone’s chips were dry as anything. I honestly don’t know how they can send food out like that. The poor woman sat behind us sent her burger back as it was like charcoal. When she got another it looked like the same one again as it was equally as cremated as the first one. Nobody seemed to care. Definitely won’t be returning. It’s gone way too downhill.

Order 10oz Gammon & eggs. After a long wait it turned up just warm & like it’s been sitting under a heating lamp for a long time. There was no way 10oz of Gammon On the plate.

We used to live in Louth and would often enjoy eating in Weatherspoons with friends & family and we were never disappointed. We now live away and in June we ate here with friends I had a mix grill it was like eating charcoal! I complained and was rewarded with a free meal & drink for my husband & myself. We were in Louth yesterday 5th October so I chose to have our free meal and I ordered a mixed grill! It was no better than we had been served in June the waitress asked if she could do anything but we just said forget it, this was the 2nd time we had been served food in this state it was like rubber. We just won’t bother eating there again.

We arrived as a table of 12 at prime eating time 7pm and managed to push a couple of tables together. The people who sat at our table previously had some sort of gathering as the tables were full of glasses. These glasses remained on our table throughout the visit. The tables were never wiped, there was no menus on the tables. When we ordered our food the App told us there was no fish and chips left for the club. Not acceptable at 7pm on a Friday, clearly haven’t defrosted enough fish! When we asked the floor staff how long our food would be because it had been 40 mins, he apologised and said there was a wait and we wouldn’t have been informed as we used the app. When the food arrived the what looked like shift leader slammed every plate down on our table, we felt like this was because we complained. Other grumbles... the chips weren’t very hot, the mixed grill was served without the rump steak??? No check back. I wanted to order dessert but wasn’t able to as we were in a rush and the food took so long. As a previous kitchen manager for Wetherspoons I know the standards as this wasn’t it.

Popped in for food. The place was buzzing, it had obviously been a busy day. We found the only vacant table left inside and promptly sat ourselves down. I ordered at the bar. No kids burger so I had to get my 3 yr old grandson a adult meal ( gripe). Food never took long to arrive and was hot flavoursome and filling. Waitresses was wondering around with plates looking for tables. I found this amusing. We had no check back.

I have been going 3 or 4 times a week.but service now going down and food not up to standard. Fish used to be best.Burgers now over cooked or cold pity .

Nice place to spend a few hours having a couple of beers at very reasonable prices. The food is nothing to shout about but is again reasonable value

Me (16 years old) and my boyfriend (16 years old) couldn’t get served a jacket potato and a chicken burger without having a passport with us to show as ID. We’ve been in here a number of times and have never been asked for ID, so now my mum has to come down and order for us. Pathetic. A few weeks ago I came in with my 17 year old girl friend who gave her credit card, photocopy of her passport and her EHICs card but was still refused service. I don’t recommend coming here unless you look at least 25 and have your passport in person, even if you’re not ordering any alcohol, just a jacket potato and tap water.

After having a good experience here a few weeks ago, my family and I returned for a bite to eat today. It was half past four/ five o’clock on a Friday.

We decided to come here for our tea with a friend from Scotland. My wife and I are vegan and we chose the Vegan Burger. I decided to add an extra burger as the price was very reasonable. The Joseph Morton is a very nice place to go for a drink and something to eat. It is different to a lot of Wetherspoons we have been to. Louth is a lovely place to visit and this pub is a good example of where to go. It is just off the town centre. Close to the lovely St James Church.

Visited weatherspoons in Louth with my parents and children. Managed to find a table which was dirty and full of the previous diners plates and cups etc. Twice asked for it to be cleared only to do it myself after waiting yet another 10 minutes with no one coming to do it. Was duly dumped on the bar.

We have often visited here when in the area as we like the location and the Wetherspoons atmosphere and we have on most occasions found it to be as expected...food has always been reasonable and staff mostly friendly. It's been a while since we have been in the area so a visit was overdue and in honesty after today it will be my last. Upon arrival,it was apparent there were issues with the service. There is a Welsh dresser kind of cabinet where sauces are stored,as we walked through the door 3 other tables were clearing their own tables onto there so they could at least sit down. I wouldn't say it was busy and there were plenty of tables free....they were just littered with glasses and plates. My partner and I both work in the exact same trade as management so we understand that sometimes things can get overwhelming for a venue and unexpected volumes can cause massive knock.on effects....in short, we were sympathetic. So we sat at a table after clearing the pots to the cabinet and made our choices for food. Pasta Alfredo and a large mixed grill for the hubby. The mixed grill arrived...looked ok but then he realised that 2 items listed in the menu were missing. Not that he was bothered he was too hungry to care, but at the same time if it's listed it should be there...out comes my pasta...now as a general rule I'm not a complainer, but I had to send it back. Cold,rubbery and quite hinestly it looked horrendous. Which was a shame as it actually arrived quote quickly so I couldn't even justify that maybe it had been sat on the pass waiting for a busy waitress...on the subject of waitresses...most appeared friendly although very stressed...all bar one and I only wish i had got her name because her attitude was not good. I witnessed her twice be rude to other customers and her attitude when I returned my food was something that I myself would be gutted to see if it was my staff...I appreciate stress but.she rolled her eyes and didn't even acknowledge what id said just stayed silent and took the food away huffing and puffing...i even apologised to her because as I said I'm not a complainer.

Great place to eat if you can find it. Clean and comfortable. Good food and excellent service. Highly recommend it

Cheap and cheerful meals and drinks, staff were helpful and competent, clientele was the usual mix of normals and chavs, a lot of swearing and high jinx from a table of lads but it is a Wetherspoons.

I went to order my food I started by asking for a starter for a group and stated this “can we order the 3 starters for this and then order mains separately for after” we ordered was told 20 minutes wait which was fine and next minute we know the mains are out I mention we was meant to have starters first, took about 7 minutes for someone to come back, to say they could hold the mains back but would only be under heat lamps till we are ready to eat so we took the food as didn’t want semi warm food said they couldn’t make any fresh food and due to there mess up and taking so long our food had gone cold, ruined a night for a group of friends who haven’t seen each other in over a year did wanted deserts after but changed my mind after this mess as a meal and i understand it’s a big place with a lot of orders but as a chef myself I wouldn’t expect this for anywhere as I know the industry.

Having regularly visit the weatherspoons where we live, where the food is good and the staff are very friendly we decided to try this one in Louth and were so shocked by the rudeness of three members of staff, one in particular was extremely rude and who questioned why we had ordered individually rather than a group and said it was inconvenience to him! Questioned if we had a drink with the meal despite the menu stating it did. A woman and another man serving that day were so unfriendly too, and looked like they didn't want to be there. We had five meals and drinks and although our table was piled with glasses and plates no one came to clear the table the entire 2 hours we stayed, for a first time visit to Louth we will not be returning.

I have just visited The Joseph Morton Wetherspoons for an early tea and thoroughly enjoyed their thin crust Spicy Meat Feast 8" Pizza. At 680 calories it was just enough without making one feel over full. My companion chose the Vegetarian all-day brunch consisting of chips, baked beans, fried eggs and three Quorn vegan sausages. This looked very substantial and I'm told it was very good. There were 1055 calories in this meal and it would keep you going all-day or all-night - extremely good value for money. The Becks Blue was three for £5.00 and the pizza was only £4.89.

Overheard someone on Friday's market mentioning Wetherspoons in Louth. We had never seen or heard of it, so after directions took us to the Pawnshop Passage, we ordered 2 halves of beer and decided on the 2 meals for £8.00. When my husband went to place the order, on the bar was today's "pick of the day", 8oz sirloin, chips/jacket, peas etc for £5.99. Couldn't resist that and it was excellent. Very busy but we were served after a short time. Steak cooked to perfection.

Came in on a Thursday afternoon and ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza. the reviews were excellent from both children. Recommended

Most Wetherspoons are in prominent positions, but one is tucked down one of the quaint alleyways in Louth. Thankfully the app found it for us. Usual standard of food, but a limited selection of guest beers.

Have visited this Wetherspoons many times and given it good reviews previously, however on this midweek evening standards seemed quite different. The place wasn’t very busy and with lots of empty tables which appeared messy, with crockery around and food on the floor. We placed our order via the app and the drinks arrived quickly. Interestingly the bit of till receipt with the drinks blew onto the floor as the barman brought them over - he noticed it, glanced down, but just left it on the floor!! Then we waited fo the food. After 22 mins nothing had arrived so we enquired at the bar, where a rude barman said “it’s only been 8 mins”. We showed him our emailed order confirmation displaying the order time, to which he grudgingly said he’s see what had happened (though no apology for being so rude……. and wrong!). A few minutes later the food arrived but the fried fish looked like it had been in the frier for about 30 mins - deep brown, crusty, curled up and dry. We complained a second time and as compensation were given 2 free drinks. Not sure if this was a one-off, or if there’s new management? Will see what its like next time…….

We ordered the Fish Friday and I can truly say this was the best fish we have had in any Weather Spoon pub. The service was excellent too.

Stopped in for an early evening meal with our daughters and granddaughter. As usual the staff were polite and extremely helpful. We ordered one children's meal and five different main courses for the adults - fish and chips, steak, southern fried chicken strips, buttermilk chicken burger and a Tennessee burger. The meals arrived in good time were hot and everyone enjoyed their meal. We then shared three puddings between five of us - two brownies and one pancakes. The whole bill including drinks was under £50. The Joseph Morton is our go to place to eat when in Louth simply because the food is excellent, the staff are great and it's exceptionally good value for money. A great place to visit.

We've eaten at the Joseph Morton several times now. We've been when it's hectically busy and when it's quieter. The only problems we've experienced have been when using the wetherspoons app to order the meal. There was some problem with the request going through. Soon sorted by a trip to the bar though.

We visited for my father’s 80th birthday.

This place used to be ok but recently we called in for a breakfast and were served congealed eggs, shriveled bacon and luke warm beans. We complained and the staff member explained it was because they were busy???

I always eat here with my daughter,the bar staff are very helpful when dealing with children, the place is very family friendly and the food always arrives fast,would definitely recommend for anyone with children.

Visited here with my family and my disabled Gran, staff were very accommodating with getting the utensils she needed to be able to eat her food safely, also was assisted with using the lift after a bit of a struggle. Really polite staff all in all and made her and us all feel really comfortable. We all agreed we would definitely come here again!

Had the misfortune to choose to eat here. Dirty tables, dirty toilets. Chipped plates. Luke warm food. Rude staff. Considering this is supposed to be the hospitality industry it’s clear the staff are totally unaware of the concept. Absolutely appalling, never again!

This is the 3rd time we have been to the Joseph Morley. We attended after the busy rush when it was just calming down in footfall. Approx after 2pm. The tables were dirty and staff looked like they were pleased the mad rush was over and catching their breath. The place looked like a bomb had hit it.

Manager and staff. Odd to ban my 17 year old daughter for a genuine complaint articulated politely and courteously. It’s because we have complained she’s banned.

Bog standard Whetherspoons, visited in the evening when the pub wasnt particularly busy but waited and age to be served at the bar, the puv was a little scruffy with a lot of dirty tables, food average fair for the money.

You know that you are not gonna get top class cooking. But it's hot good and simple. I love the vegetarian options. You know how many calories you are eating and it's cheap. I can't complain

A nice surprise greeted us as we visited The Joseph Morton for the first time. A clean, busy Wetherspoons in a pleasantly appointed building. Excellent choice of food and several well know ales, and oh, so cheap! Our order was taken quickly and efficiently and soon appeared on our table, piping hot. The staff were all efficient, smiling even when clearing up after three mothers and toddlers had tried their best to see how much of their food they could get on the floor! As the toilets for the disabled were in use I the upstairs ones which were clean and hygienic. We will be back when next in Louth.

sorry to say after a few visits lately standards dropping,this mornings breakfast.lukewarm beans,barely cooked bacon.and the egg half raw,if the staff had not been so busy would have sent it back.this was around 8.15 a.m.today.29/03/2019.its a pity but lack of taining is usually the fault.please pay more attention to the food preparation.catering was my profession.before retirement.

We started our day in Louth with a breakfast at the Joseph Morton. Good choice on the menu and some of the deals included a drink with free refills.

We visit this restaurant at least once a week and never have a bad word to say about it. But Sunday night when we visited there was a temporary bar man who was pure rude. Wetherspoons offer a table service through the app which we use quite a lot but when we did on this time we were called lazy which was highly uncalled for. Totally unprofessional and just annoying.

I visited here with my brother and mum and dad.i had the pasta Alfredo and a soft drink deal.very reasonably priced.

We were in need of food. My husband (the driver) was starting to become hangry. Louth is a lovely town with some quirky shops and alleyways so what with the one way system and trying to find a parking place we were in need of fuel. Great fish and chips. What more can I say. Spotless accessible toilet, friendly and speedy service.

Called in for a quick drink after having dinner in town . I must say that they run a very efficient service and i love the idea that you can replenish your coffee cup for free . Great

We were served cold chips and onion rings,we sent them back and i received mine reheated, my partner was served vegetables seperate then the onion rings came back, they forgot the chips so we had to remind them ,when the chips came back they had forgot the side salad, so my partner had her wetherspoons meal in four parts??? Also the bowl had eight chips in it that were sharp and not very hygenic. An absolute bloody joke????, i will not be going in there again, i'm sure tim martin would not expect such a poor service?

Dreadful, undercooked food in poor quantities. Several awful staff, with one not even deserving that description. It is significantly worse than even other Wetherspoon's. The only plus side is that a lot of loud people go who you'd rather not have on the table next to you and this place keeps them away from civilised venues. Also, even though I'm a staunch "Brexiteer", I don't need to see pro-Brexit material on every table. Oh, did I mention the (upstairs) toilets? Disgusting as well...

Very busy establishment tucked away, but worth tracking down if you're in the area. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful, and while the quality of the meals was above average, the price was very competitive. The atmosphere (mid-morning) was fine.

this is my second visit (I hoped it might have improved) and the second visit I've twice had to clear my own table of dinner plates and empties. sort it out for goodness sake!

Visited on a Saturday night, very busy with families, very good atmosphere, meal delivered to table within 15 minute of ordering, hot, well presented and tasty. Will return on future visits to Louth.

Went here with a group of girlfriends, we used the new app and got table service which was great. Cheap cocktails and some small plates of food to share. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the drinks and the venue was very relaxing.

To hear staff talking about other staff in a bullying manner disgusting would be better if they concentrated on their own inadequacy getting food order incorrect naming just one than being unpleasant about the only one staff member whom was bright and bubbly all the time we were in , made me really annoyed and upset .

Love using the app to order food and drinks. Service is prompt and food is good and well presented.

Hi here quite a lot only thing that’s always bugged us is the eggs they are never cooked properly as the slime is still visible over the top apart from that lovely pub

We have just visited Joseph Morton's Wetherspoon in Louth, and although a previous visit was fine, we were served two terrible breakfasts, congealed eggs, cold beans,bacon like scratchings, no tomatoes, not pleasant, staff too busy to speak to. Very disappointed.

We met for a family Sunday lunch although inexpensive I think the quality of food should be better.Dirty tables,the food delivered to our table was only just luke warm,in fact my granddaughter left her chicken as she was worried it was not heated through properly.

Took quite a while for food go arrive. Which we hoped meant it would be fresh and hot. Wrong! The plate was hot(10/10) the food was at the point of being sent back because it was not. Started to eat, the room was cold, so the food soon went cold. Even though we were sat next to the open fire. The tea we ordered did not come with the food we had to go to the bar ourselves. I was told at the bar we should have been given the tea when we were served. The food itself was'nt too bad nice toast. It said on the menu mushroom and thats what you get, One! Small one. Waitress young and not very cheerful, Bar staff not very sociable. Nice clean toilets. If it made more effort it could be good.

We come here for breakfast every time in Louth and have never had a bad one love doing coffee and the refills. if we have lunch the tuna melt pannini is yummy so much filling a salad or chips finishes the job.

went in sunday for a sunday steak , it came without an onion, and the steak looked as though it was yesterday .'and chips were luke warm, i ate it but complained after. This is not the first time their burger and chips is served on a cold bun so by the time it gets to you its just warm. if i get a cold meal again ill stop going. shame because its a nice place

First visit with family, late afternoon for food. Nice setting, staff very pleasant, greeted warmly and ordered. Not busy, just steady. Patiently waited,and waited and after almost 45 minutes I checked on progress of food ,as table served before us had completed their meals. It seems a glitch in their system hadn't sent order through to kitchen, deepest apologies given and further wait . Complementary drinks offered for mistake but on eating my lasagne I found what I can only describe as a shard of toothpick material . Duty manager apologised again, offered drinks or free deserts , but again we waited 15 minutes for drinks and that was only when I went to the bar to ask what delay was . Couldn't wait longer as car parking was due to expire after such a long wait . Final straw , so told I'd get refund on meal only , so in effect the FREE drink that came WITH my meal, I paid for as refund was literally for lasagne , and he'd get manager to contact me via my email OR mobile number next day. Still waiting ,since Thursday , so not impressed and suggest they up their customer service when genuine complaints are brought to their attention.

Quick fast food served in a friendly atmosphere with very pleasant staff, and very helpful. Food good value for money.

Hi, not often I do reviews but, this Weatherspoons needs a mention, nice place, nice atmosphere, nice team of people and the food was much better than a lot of restaurants that would certainly be charging more ! Good work

Called in at a weekend with friends. Pleasantly surprised as nice surroundings. Service at the bar good with some great premium drinks. Had a light lunch and was very nice. Would recommend a visit and will Call in again for a longer stay next time

Went to the Joseph Morton for lunch with my family, the food and service was great. Reasonable food prices, will visit again
