Been coming here for as long as I can remember (a long time) and I consider it to be the best bar for service that’s second to none, atmosphere and whisky selection. If you’re visiting Edinburgh don’t pass it by!

Had a couple of pints in this Pub, great taste, service and a great good old fashioned chat with the Barman Gary. Will definitely pop in again on my next visit to Edinburgh.

Great Pre-Train Pint Stop - just steps from Waverley Station, Jinglin' Geordie is a perfect spot to relax and grab a pint before your train journey. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and there's ample seating (though it can get lively!). They have a decent selection of beers, including a delicious Belhaven Black for those who enjoy a dark brew.

I went on a Europe trip last year and this was by fat my favorite pub i went to. The people and atmosphere was incredible. I only had one day to spend in Edinburgh and the majority of it was right here having great conversation with great people.

A small, quiet pub. This is a great place. Small, cozy, and just the right interior to make it charming.

Small little pub hidden down some steps off the main road, chill vibe and friendly staff. Good selection of beers and spirits available. Nip in for a quick low key drink and the walk back up the steps won't seem too bad!

Very rude. Walked in, the lady behind the bar tells the older gentleman "omg more people walking in" and walks away with a sour face. Man looks at me and doesn't say anything, just stares at me. I said "hello", no response. He just blinks looking annoyed. I said "hi" again and he motions slightly with his chin as if to say "what do you want?". I said "nevermind" and walked out with my 2 friends. Clearly they're experts on how to lose customers in 10 seconds. Then again, if their initial reaction to customers walking in at noontime on a weekday is disgust, they don't deserve to be in business.

Cool little hidden bar with a warm welcome for us and the dog alike.

Lovely little pub service was great, watch when drinking nips as it's 35ml, when we were in there were a couple of Australian tourists in and weren't clued up on whisky, but the bar staff were very knowledgeable. The only minus was the steps into and out of the pub not any good if you are bad at walking, will definitely be back.

Smells of stale beer, staff unwelcoming, Empty....I wonder why. Used to be good. when there was a newspaper office next door, full of half cut hacks...now a grubby tourist trap playing 80's greatest hits which makes sense.... probably last time this boozer was worth a visit.

Good traditional pub without any pretentions and a good choice of drinks. The decor is good and the windows are particularly interesting. The smoking area is a welcome addition and more pubs should have one. It almost makes me regret that I gave up the weed. The barman was very efficient and also very friendly and knowledgeable.

A great wee pub - a hidden gem in a beautiful close in Edinburgh’s old town. The bar is traditional but with all the mod cons you would need. A must stop on your way to or from Waverley train station. A shout out to the exceptional service provided by Martin. Will defiantly return. Izabela

We walked in an ordered beers. The bartender was very rude. We attempted to try and make the situation better but he pretty much ignored us till we left. Stay away! We went to another bar and had the greatest time.

Outstanding bar as you walk up stairs from Waverley station. Lots of history from the mad old days including footballer and raconteur George Best and the many journalists that kept him company.

Good old pub between the station and Cockburn street. Closed at the moment because of this pandemic but is on the list for a visit.

I have been here many times, a great starting point with friends for an evening out. One of the best places to have a great city drink. I am fast becoming a regular and can happily say this place is clean, has very friendly staff and a really great place ! A hidden gem.

This place has the toilet out of TRAINSPOTTING and a few of the folk from the film as well,outside the pub a guy full of something asked for change or a cigarette

에든버러 기차역 근처에서 가까운 곳에 위치한 펍입니다. 역에서 구시가지로 가는 좁은 골목길에 위치해 있는 펍으로서 그 지역의 분위기를 느끼기에 매우 좋습니다. 펍 안에서 친구들과 함께 맥주를 마시며 이야기를 나누는 스코틀랜드 사람들의 모습을 보면 그들의 일원이 된 느낌을 가질 수 있었습니다. 뒷골목 비슷한 곳에 위치해 있다는 느낌을 가질 수도 있지만 그러한 곳에 위치해서 그런지 더욱 정감이 있는 느낌이 듭니다. 또한 펍은 다양한 종류의 맥주를 보유하고 있어서 원하는 맥주를 선택해서 마실 수 있습니다. 비가 오고 날씨가 궂은 날이 많기 때문에 외부에서 비를 피해 펍에 들러서 간단히 맥주를 마시면서 축구를 보는 것도 하나의 경험이 될꺼 같습니다. 스코틀랜드의 펍을 느껴보고 싶다면 한 번 쯤 방문하면 좋은거 같습니다. 역 근처에 위치해 있어서 기차 시간에 맞춰서 여유롭게 맥주를 즐기다가 기차를 타러 가기에도 좋습니다. 직원은 한 명 뿐이었는데, 친절하게 손님을 맞이해 주었고, 계산을 할 때에도 돈을 맞춰서 낼 때까지 천천히 기다려 주고 친절하게 응해 주었습니다.

Old time pub ,got on the chat with 3 gentlemen and as it turned out we were connected through area's and names and sports from 45 years ago , fantastic wee pub.

Total incompetent bartenders. I literally witnessed bar keeps drying glasses vs. tending to customers wanting drinks and then watching them leave without a thought or care.

Really good bar, it is a little too hot for me inside.

Very expensive for non alcoholic beer whis is ridiculous how can anice bar 150yds away charge £1.08 less for the same beer

Best pub in the centre of Edinburgh.

Neat pub with a cool patio out back. Just off the Royal Mile, but with a much more “local” feeing... with prices to match. Edit: Confirmed the local feeling by drinking and chatting with some Edinburgh residents for several hours. The pub was great, the company fantastic. Had a 10/10 great night here.

Nice old pub tucked down an Alley. 3 real ales on of a good quality. This place and the Royal Oak are a must if you like a slightly off the mile pub. Eastern European bar lady was friendly, very easy on the eye and was happy to change my first pint which was the bottom of the barrel.
