Restarting Sunday lunch 30/08/20 booking not necessary. Eaten here a lot good food and real value.Nice pint as well.

Turned up at 3.55 on a Sunday which was sunny, the server said they had no food being served but a sign outside says food served until 5, rude.

Great Sunday Lunch - no frills proper Sunday Beef & Yorkshire Puds Great Atmosphere in the evening if wanting somewhere friendly just to sit & have a drink. Cosy fire & good company

Whilst out riding with the club we decided to finish the ride of with a nice cold pint, tried the pub round the corner first (no other reason other than we passed it first) it was closed so decided to call into the Wren, nice little pub very old style. Decent pint and not a bad price with a little beer garden round the back what more could you want?

Thought we would try a local pub for a meal. The chef was in and out of the kitchen for a fag. The chips tasted and felt as though they had been cooked then heated up. We will not be revisiting anytime soon.

Llamado en conseguir un asado de domingo con 8 amigos y familiares. ¡Qué fantástica bienvenida y excelente cerveza. Todos tuvimos diferentes opciones de comida. . Todo el mundo era bien feliz. con sus comidas. También hace un cambio refrescante a tener servicio de camarera. En vez de cola. como ganado a la hora de la alimentación. . jajaja. .

We have had Sunday lunch at this pub twice recently when i say it can be beatenthe only place i know of is at home this is by far the best Sunday lunch we have eaten in any pub restaurant and we eat out every Sunday warm welcome from all staff only complaint the restaurant can be a bit chilly in the winter We will return and recomendto anyone

Fuimos para el té con un amigo temprano en un sábado. Tranquilo, limpio y agradable. Pastel de carne y una comida ordenados. La comida era muy buena. Corteza de pastel, generoso filete muy bien preparadas, y vegetales frescos, la presentación era buena, el servicio amable y volver. Impresionado con la comida.

Tuvimos una comida agradable en sábado. Las opciones de menú y las especialidades tiene todo lo que puedas querer de un pub. Mi marido tenía gambas y patatas fritas y fue parte de una feria antigua. Tuve el especial de lomo de cerdo y chispeante bien a ser completamente honesto, nunca he visto tanta chispeante! Era absolutamente precioso. Soy bastante quisquilloso sobre cómo están las cosas cocinadas y en fue la perfección! Las verduras estaba al dente, el cerdo era suculento y muy sabroso y la camarera ofrecía más salsa, lo que siempre es una ventaja!Buena selección de cervezas, cervezas y vinos en oferta.Si eres un navegantes y profundas en la cerradura está a sólo 5 minutos a pie.

Mientras visitaba a unos amigos en el pueblo que se llama para el té. Tuve la parrillada mixta, el mejor de todos los tiempos. Bien preparado muy buenos cortes de carne y locales. Bonita salchichas y black pudding. Mi pareja tenía sizzling pollo a la barbacoa también muy bien, mi hija tenía torta de carne muy bonito y una porción masiva, vinieron todos con patatas fritas caseras y un montón de verduras . saludos Rob y cobra.

Visitamos aquí con un grupo de 8 y cada uno la izquierda lleno y estamos hablando de la comida. Sue y Dave son geniales y no podía hacer más para ayudar y hacer que la diversión de noche. La habitación del grifo estaba lleno y tuvimos un gran ambiente con la chimenea de leña un auténtico lujo. Este es verdaderamente un lugar acogedor pub del pueblo lleno de ambiente.

Gran asado con comida aquí son fantásticas amable personal le recomendaría este restaurante a cualquiera que haya reservado para llevar a mi madre. Día de la madre para regalo

He estado en este pub varias veces en los últimos meses para el almuerzo de domingo. Siempre ha sido absolutamente increíble. La carne es tan tierno y la salsa no tiene rival! He probado muchos de los otros pubs que ofrece el almuerzo de domingo en la zona de los alrededores y la Jenny Wren es, con mucho, la mejor calidad y la mejor relación calidad-precio. El tamaño de las porciones son muy generosas y el personal son muy amables y serviciales. Vale la pena una visita.

Went in for Sunday lunch with my wife and 2 children the food was first rate with excellent staff very friendly, I would recommend and will be returning very soon for more first rate food

The Jenny wren is fast becoming a great place to call in for a bite to eat this is a little village country pub also my local some may say I'm biased but believe me I'm not Dave & sue give you a warm welcome & tony the chef is superb at wot he does Sunday lunch is excellent also extensive menu as well so why not call in to a good old country pub warm welcome great pint & a good old village atmosphere

After driving around to try and find somewhere to have Sunday lunch were we didn't need to book, we came across this pub. Went in and the bar and waitress staff were very helpful, we order 2 Sunday dinners where they had a choice of beef, Turkey or pork. The service was really quick and the food was lovely although we would of liked more veg to share, but would go back again. Highly recommend for quick last minute 'fancy a Sunday dinner moments'

The Jenny Wren is a lovely lively little pub! I have been here quite a few times and each time i have enjoyed it, the atmosphere is really nice. The owners Dave and Sue are really friendly and a good laugh! The barlady is also great.I couldnt recommend this place more, especialy since they have now started doing food, the food is great, rwally nice homemade food!Deffinatley worth a try :)

Came across this quaint little pub in a village called beal decided to pop in for Sunday lunch . Full menu was also available which is great if you don't want just Sunday dinner. The food was lovely and def recommend it. Very friendly pub and friendly landlord . My sort of country pub good food and made to feel very welcome . Will def go back

This pub is just down the road from us, but hidden away in a tiny village a bit off the beaten track. Worth finding though, because the Sunday lunch we had today was very nice indeed. Lovely tender meat, nice veg and tasty gravy. The landlord and his wife are very friendly and the dining area is clean and comfortable. Previous reviews are a little out of date and were written before the present owners arrived. It's the sort of quiet, cosy place we like and I'm sure we'll be back soon.

Arrived on Sat at 1.15pm for a bite of lunch only to find the place closed with a sign saying "Open from 2 - 12". Honestly think places like this shouldn't bother

Had a steak pie, always have the same wherever I go, all I can say is I have never had one full of so much soft, melt in the mouth stake! Even my home made one doesn't have that much in! Beautiful!

Great atmosphere, great food, can't fault it. I'd recommend the mixed grill, I also tried a few guest ales I'd not come across locally and they were all well chosen.

Absolute lovely cannot believe the amount you get for the price probably best meal v.f.m. wise ever and im 33.

Friendly service, fantastic food, Sunday lunch was great stuffed now.Roll on Sunday every week they have a great selection of cask ales to compliment the food, it all goes down very well.

This little pub has a fantastic menu! I went for Sunday dinner with my partner and you get so much for your money! It was amazing! Stuffing, carrot and turnip, mash, roasts, cauliflower cheese, home made yorkshire puddings,veg, graveyard and huge portions of meat! Would highly recommend for anyone wanting a Sunday dinner!

We have eaten at the Jenny Wren several times now. The food is always freshly cooked, with a good choice of traditional meals. My favourite is the lamb shank with lovely creamy mash - and you must try the homemade cheesecake! There are always several real ales to choose from to wash it down with. Prices are extremely reasonable too. Nice beer garden outside fora sunny day.

Have eaten here 3 times in the last 2 months. Very happy and give this place 5 stars! Lovely cosy pub, very welcoming. Sunday lunch is amazing for £6.95. Roast meats, home made pie etc, all served with mash, all the trimmings, and lots of different fresh veggies, cauliflower cheese etc. They also do 3 courses for £9.95 with starters and desserts to die for. This week we went on a Thursday night and ate from the main menu. The food is excellent, all freshly cooked and plenty to choose from. The mixed grill ordered was HUGE and cooked to perfection, it even came with it's own stack of onion rings.

I went to the Jenny Wren with my family for mothers day and didn't really know what to expect as I had never ate in there before but, I was told the food was brilliant.After sitting and waiting no longer that 5 minutes after ordering the starter arrived which was delicious. Most of us opted for fish bites with a chilly dip. When that was one the dinner was brought put with again was brilliant. Came with everything you could ask for on a roast, parsnips, mash, carrots, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, roast potatoes, stuffing and more. I would say as a family we can probably eat quite a bit more than most but we were really full after eating and there was leftovers.We managed pudding however!!3 course meal only came to £10 and I am not even kidding when I say it was well worth £20 plus. In a city center you would pay a lot for this type of English pub food. Highly recommended!!!!
