Typical spoons, quick and cheap. There is plenty of space. Some random and rude people were in on my visit, but it's expected.

Ticked all the boxes, wanted a quick bite to eat and drink. Fairly busy but quick service, the food was piping hot.

So so so... I will start with the positive. Food. Good and tasty, sometimes burnt. Tables - always dirty, wet. And then the worst thing... Ivy wall workers accused my partner of trying to drive drunk!!! And called me a B word when I have asked them to prove it. About two months ago we went to Ivy Wall to have some food and drinks - 3 ladies and my partner. Lets start from the fact, that my partner DOESN'T DRINK ALCOHOL. He had coke and we girls had a pint of beer each. Then we finished our food and drinks and went to The Punchbowl. After two hours we came back to the car and my partner went to the left side of the car so he could open the door for me. When I got in, he went to his side, started the car when ivy wall staff jumped out screaming at him that he is drunk and can't drive. We were in shock! They accused my partner being drunk because they thought he was getting into the wrong side!! And apparently they said they have a proof on cameras and when we asked to show it, they couldn't!!, absolutely disgusting, and when I started to film this disgusting situation I've been called a B word. I told them I can call a police myself to check him regarding consuming alcohol but then they would have to pay for my time, unfortunately they didn't want it. So at the end they said (the lady) : if you're not scared about your life, you can go with him. Absolutely disgusting!!! To hear that when you're sober and not drinking alcohol!!! I was so sorry for my partner and this made me fell disgusted about Ivy Wall staff that were there. When we wrote a review to wheatherspoon managament, they didn't do nothing. So customers are nothing for them. Avoid.

The pizza I had was not the correct one because I said margertia but instead they did the complete opposite

Usual Wetherspoons fare and prices (although recent increases mean it's feeling pricier) but the issue here was the aircon being set to mimic arctic conditions in February.

Clean and tidy, food arrives quickly. Staff are friendly. Very nice and the food is well priced, what a bonus. The fact that you can do it all through an app is still amazing! Sadly it looks like the meals are suffering with shrinkflation at the moment. Core items are becoming add-ons, for a cost... What use to be 2 for £12 is now 2 for £15! Black pudding in this spoons is almost unheard of! Be careful as app prices are more expensive than through the till!

We sometimes pop in for a beer and lunch. It's ok, the food is what you expect from Wetherspoons and we have never had a meal that we would consider bad here. The interesting thing about the building is the glass floor area at the front which allows you to see part of the old (probably) medieval masonry and some stairs which are now under the building. Often wonder about the people who may have trodden the troughs into their stones over the centuries. The tables sometimes take the staff a while to clean and the toilets are good. It does not have much of an atmosphere and it's more cafe-like than pub, the staff are busy and the hum of customer conversations is generally all there is. Parking is best done in the B&Q carpark and walk to the pub (2 mins). We have never been in the evening so cannot say what it's like then.

A small group of ladies went last Tuesday (23rd January). They were advertising haggis as it was Burns week. We especially went for this. They didn’t have any- even although there were flyers on the tables. The server was very rude, said he didn’t know what haggis was!! We decided to have the small fish(?) and chips. It was disgusting and an insult. Hardly any fish, just hard batter. With hindsight we should have refused it and gone elsewhere. Won’t be back.

In my opinion this place is the best Spoons in the area Food is always quick and reliably tasty

Had curry night with friends and my daughter who works there. Couldn't fault anything. Food was excellent. Service was excellent

South Lincolnshire Mini Owners Club had a breakfast meet at The Ivy Wall 14/1/24. There were 11 of us altogether and we each ordered with whoever we came with so it wasn't one huge order but still, it took quite some time for food to be brought out. Almost everyone left some of their food, mainly the sausages so I'm unsure if there was an issue with them. As a vegetarian, I went for the Quorn sausage sandwich but the bangers weren't what I am used to, but the bread/ketchup was delicious 😋 I wouldn't have that again, in fact I am unsure whether I would come for breakfast again. I intend to do a poll amongst those who came on Sunday so i know their exact views, which will help us when wondering about visiting again. I would visit, but I wouldn't eat at the Ivy Wall.

The staff there Laura and Jodie really helpful and hardworking, I have not seen that kind of service anywhere else in the town. Thank you will defo come back again..

Breakfast- I gotta say I do love the breakfast wraps at spoons 😁. Dinner I had the American burger was quite disappointed at the small burger, flavour wasn't great either the chips were nice and crispy though, however my partner loved the Al Fredo pasta thing she had so that bumped the marks up chery polite and well presented staff 4/5 would eat again

Food was burnt small portions dirty plates on tablets not enough staff bar food was very horrible mixed large grill had 3 tiny bits meat 14 pound RIP off

My wife and I don't venture out very often but like to spoil ourselves occasionally. So this was a real treat for us. Food, service, staff and atmosphere was great, we will be back.

The portions were much smaller than when I went to a Wetherspoon in Sleaford

Like this place good food at good prices Fish Friday is particularly good. Meal and a drink for very reasonable prices cheaper if you don't have alcohol. Try it - you will be impressed by the service and the standard of food produced and the friendly service. Definitely the place to go on Friday lunchtimes for fish and chips but there are meal deals every day,steaks and curries on other days and breakfast deals are good lots of dietary options and coffees and teas come take a look and try for yourself use it or lose it This place is a gem.

A typical Wetherspoon pub. Friendly staff and some local customers made us laugh. Also I was able to try some different beers as we were staying in Spalding for the weekend.

Usually busy, the focal point of Spalding. Service is good, food is great value as with any Wetherspoons.

Popped in for a catch up with friends. Good selection of Real Ales. The staff were very friendly and approachable although the place was quite busy because it was Saturday evening. The tables were cleared and cleaned very quickly. Another great Wetherspoons pub

An average drop in pub..great local community spirit mostly English 👍 folk.

We asked for the waitress for napkins, we had to ask twice , the chicken wasn't cooked, the eggs and mushrooms taste like meat . Very bad experience, not going again.

Burger wasn't great, not impressive. It was gristly and would have expected better. Chips were decent, but just okay and nothing special. In some ways you get what you pay for but I would say popular fast food outlets could produce a better product and cheap than the burger I had here which shouldn't be the case ...

The food is amazing and the staff are lovely.

Could have done with more staff serving behind the bar as stood wait for a while waiting to order pluss there was quite a few tables not been cleared

This place is good however we happened to pop in on Saturday dinner time they didn't have what we wanted cos they were having a delivery I thought what a time to have one at one of the buisy times to run out of food when they should be fully stocked saying that it's still a nice place to visit just need to sort delivery out so this sort of thing doesn't happen and you have to order something else very nearly whent somewhere else hope they sort it out

Pretty good food for price. Friendly, professional staff. Well kept real ale.

Only had the wings and chips there but very nice tasty cheap alcohol. Their isn't any music so you create the atmosphere but with a group of us we enjoyed it

Service is ok! but drinks are cheap

Went to this pub today to have a pub lunch with the Misses and baba. When we walked in the place is clean and tidy with staff walking around ensuring customers and venue is OK. We had food and drinks here and the food is amazing. Excellent portion size. In total we spent just over £25 for 2 main meals, kids meal and haloumi fries. Overall would rate this establishment 5* with staff and cleanliness. Will be coming back agen.

If you haven't tried "spoons" already hou're missing out on good value, good service and a good app! Try it.

Some days food tastes ok, but sometimes when you eating it you thinking not to go back there again.

Great value for money. Steaks are always good, but the halloumi fries are the best. Good place for a lunchtime meal or a cheap night out. Polite and friendly staff Worth a visit.

Someone in our party ordered Non Alcoholic beer on the App and were served the fully alcoholic version. Really dangerous as this person was supposed to be driving home.

Service appalling, not only did the bar men serve a customer who came to the br after me, he then walked to the other end of the and served someone else. When I addressed him about it he argued saying she was first and the other customer came before you, he was very abrupt and said oh well, it happens, not even an apology. I understand how difficult is can be but why would you not at least apologise.. Bar men’s band is Ryan, shocking customer service skills

The atmosphere was great the staff was amazing and the food wasn’t bad. orderd some drinks weren’t too bad and some of the staff what amazing except of the new manager the had no manners and was particularly rude to some of the customers, i felt disappointed and disrespected honestly expected way better service.

Average spoons pub to be honest! Clean enough, food is okay but not great, staff are polite. It's always incredibly busy with nowhere to sit, noisy and smells funny. Possibly just not the right place for me!

Visited the amazing pub, stunning frontage and so clean, lovely location with a happy safe atmosphere. Very family friendly with clean tables and toilets. Only got half the order however staff put it right within a few minutes. All four of us eat well and enjoyed the banter from staff and the locals. Top class service,food and drink in a safe environment. Keep up the good work...

As it was my birthday, and it was my first time in Spalding, i headed here for a couple of jars. Set on one floor, The Ivy Wall is a nice pub, service was a bit on the rubbish side/slow, but apart from that, all good. I went in on a Saturday late morning. Not many people in there, the open windows to the front of the pub were folded back which was nice as it was a humid day, so very much welcome. I managed to get a table there, an it was nice enjoying a cold one whilst watching the world go by at leisure. They have a couple of sectioned off tables outside. There is a old feeling to the pub, very interior noticeable by the doors.

What a horrible visit yesterday at 5pm we went in get a meal as we went the day before was told by not so nice bar no food being served as it was too hot for the staff to cook so HOW THE HELL DO PEOPLE WHO WORK IN CARE HOMES COOKING FOR THEM LIKE ME FEED THEM so turned round walked out

Love this place! Cheap, comfortable, great food and probably the best place (not the only good place) in Spalding to go out with mates or family or a casual date or a catch up with someone from the past.

I spent a few hours here last week and the place is nice and has plenty of space inside. The inside is clean and the staff are very good and always ready to serve the customers. There is plenty of room with many tables and an outdoor smoking area at the back. The prices for food and drink are good compared to rival pubs in the area and you can tell because most of the town locals drink here.

Meals can be served not to hot. Overall its cheap and okay.

Shame about this one whats with the half measures when no ice is requested. Pepsi was on its last legs nearly flat and tastledd Not my favourite weatherspoons no real character. Food was quick but old chips been around too long and seemed reheated. Mens toilet out of use so had to keep adding staff for the disabled toilets key. Very inconvenient Don't think I'll try this one again

Ordered chicken wing basket, halloomi cheese sticks and black pudding. So disappointed in food as i love this place. Chicken wing basket came without chips, halloomi cheese was cold and not grilled at all, black pudding was ok ish, not fresh at all. Sad, sad lunch today 😐

Our first time in this spoons, and was impressed, clean and tidy, but best of all, the staff all looked very well dressed, helpful and friendly, thumb's up to them👍

It's a Wetherspoon's pub. Cheap drinks & food. This one is particularly soul less with little atmosphere. Food is ok except for the chips which are often soft & soggy.
