Another good value Spoons. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

We visited this establishment last Sunday and sat at table 11. We ordered at the bar, not a good start as people jumped in, they've never had a system here to help long waits and they were very understaffed too. We waited 40 minutes as there was quite a queue and what turned up was absolutely awful and as bad an effort by the microwave technician as you can get. My wife's burger turned up, bone dry and had a bit of tomato and a slither of onion and served with a very dry bun.... Oh and not forgetting the dozen or so chips.... My steak pudding was as expected, dry as a bone at the bottom and normal elsewhere. We left most of it and took pictures of our ruined food. We emailed the company and told them of our experience at the named Wetherspoons and they replied fairly quickly saying they would send us a £10 voucher (whoopee) and this was 6 days ago, yet to receive it if I ever do. Staff were good and apart from having to sit fairly near to the village idiot who kept shouting just to remind us he was still drunk, the atmosphere was OK. I think I will have a few beers when(or if) my voucher turns up. Poor food which I'm sure was a one, two, three or 4 off! Not good.

Cheap cheerful you get what you pay for no hidden extras great choice anytime of day and a recent visit I can confirm the food has improved a lot

Very busy at around midday, lots of children running around and shouting, so in future would not go at that time of day when kids off school. Could have done with more staff out front as well, one working the bar / food orders, one bringing out food and another one doing ?. Could have done with someone tidying / wiping down tables Food was presented quickly though had to return my wife's as it was burnt (charcoal burger). Easy access for wheelchairs, buggys etc. It would have been nice to have been told where the Tea / Coffee machine was rather than just being handed an empty mug Wetherspoons App had a lot of the menu listed as temporarily unavailable, but when asked at the bar they were available.

Like this place good food at good prices Meal and a drink for very reasonable prices cheaper if you don't have alcohol. Try it - you will obe impressed by the service and the standard of food produced and the friendly service breakfast deals are good lots of dietary options and coffees and teas come take a look and try for yourself use it or lose itp This place is a gem.

Yesterday I went to drink coffee and was basically left aside to serve other people who came after me. I've been drinking coffee at the bar for six years, but nothing like this has ever happened to me

Drinks took 25 mins to come, food came first. I went to the bar to check on drinks and i was bluntly ‘we’re busy mate’. even then the bartender didn’t even fill the drinks to the top.

We visited whilst waiting for another retailer, was very interesting seeing the below ground original building and reading/looking at the art on the walls relating to the site. As usual a wetherspoons with a mountain to climb for the toilet. My son's breakfast arrived about 5 minutes before the drinks, but overall a standard experience.

The service was fine and nice and clean. But the fact Tim Martin has the front to showl this out as large fish and chips is robbery. My wife has small fish and chips and so small my camera would not come in focus to take a photo.

What can I say, I was really impressed with the service we received. We are staying away for a few nights and went to the local weatherspoons as it's what we know and love. The food came out in a timely manner, was nice and warm and the portions were great. The drinks came out almost instantly too. We ordered and paid via the app. We had a nice family meal, and one person who went out of their way personally to ensure we had a pleasant meal was the shift leader. I couldn't see his name on his name tag, it just said "shift leader", but he was wearing a green shirt and had glasses and a beard. Thank you to this man, as he was very polite and nothing was too much trouble. I will definitely visit this pub again.

A group of us went for an end of snooker season bite to eat and a drink.I hadn't eaten here before so did not know what to expect.My group had Fish and Chips,Curry and I had steak which I ordered medium rare but arrived burnt in places! I have recently tried "The Raymond Mays" at Bourne where I had an All Day Breakfast.Despite my own personal steak issue.I would say all in all the staff were friendly,the food was reasonably priced and enjoyed and the beer prices,as per it's reputation were very good.Would recommend for a value for money visit.

Good quick service at good prices...

Food was freshly cooked my mum and i both had the pannis. Borh piping hot when they came out. Chips also a good sized portion one of the best wetherspoons i have been in for what you pay. Staff lovely smiley and friendly

Clean and tidy, food arrives quickly. Staff are friendly. Very nice and the food is well priced, what a bonus. The fact that you can do it all through an app is still amazing! Sadly it looks like the meals are suffering with shrinkflation at the moment. Core items are becoming add-ons, for a cost... What use to be 2 for £12 is now 2 for £15! Black pudding in this spoons is almost unheard of! Be careful as app prices are more expensive than through the till!

The food was cold, and the salad had no dressing since it had run out, but no one told us this when ordering.

Great food, friendly staff, great atmosphere.

Well kept, exceptionally cheap beer. Makes you wonder how their suppliers make a living? Food is good value, edible and very quick. Gormet it ain't, and the chips are truly awful. The place is desperately tired and feels like it needs some inspiration. Compared to some other Wetherspoons pubs, it feels characterless. The pub is long and narrow, so it feels like a corridor with 80s furniture. A place to eat and drink something cheap, and then leave. This is not a place to linger.

A very friendly place and service.

Food wasn’t great but only had a chicken burger 🍔 but most importantly it had a tv so I as able to watch the euros. You’ll need a good seat to see tv as there’s a couple of obstacles from particular angles

Had breakfast, first of all had to wait ages then when it came, the beans, egg and bacon were Luke warm or cold, also the coffee machine only giving half a cup, would have complain but only 2 staff at the front of house and had to go. Had a second visit and I cannot believe this is the same place i visited last year the service was excellent the breakfast was hot and tasty and the coffee machine worked as it should.

We have a little community hub in Spoons, it's developed over the last 10 years. We all look out for each other and offer support and help where needed. You might have a view about Wetherspoons but from a support point of view we've helped people with cancer, the passing of a loved one, car accidents, loneliness, operations, mental health. So Spoons is not for everyone but we have a lovely little support network that's helped so many over the past few years Well done The Ivy Wall

A good place to take a friend or family, good environment

Curry night is always a hit for our monthly ladies night out. Excellent service.. Food delivered within 10 to 15 minutes. A manager who acknowledges his customers (Brendan) and lovely staff who stop and chat. Keep up the good work. You're a gem of a place in Spalding

Burger wasn't great, not impressive. It was gristly and would have expected better. Chips were decent, but just okay and nothing special. In some ways you get what you pay for but I would say popular fast food outlets could produce a better product and cheaper than the burger I had here which shouldn't be the case ...

Please bring your own salt as we 'aint got none! HOW ON EARTH CAN A BUSINESS SUCH AS THIS HAVE NO SALT? Next time we will bring our own.

Shift leader Tommy is a wonderful person who sent my friends and I numerous straws on request. I appreciate his assistance and will treasure my straw forever.

Spalding Flower Parade this weekend and so so busy, the staff have not stopped, worked so hard, and still managed to smile. The pressure they work under is unbelievable but such amazing people 👊 👌

Some days the food is okay but some days you don't get a lot. We use the Ivy Wall because overall it's cheaper with a drink included than most places. The place is usually packed out on a Saturday though which doesn't bother us because we come for the week day meal deal. Like most places you have to specify no ice in drinks if you don't want it. Popular with regular customers.

Food was great , one of the nicest burgers I've had anywhere. Service was good, food and drink came quickly, bar staff and server was friendly.

Typical spoons, quick and cheap. There is plenty of space. Some random and rude people were in on my visit, but it's expected.

Tables not cleared or cleaned, filthy sauce bottles, partners wine served in a dirty glass. For someone who serves a lot of chips.......no vinegar out. Pretty disgusting.

Ticked all the boxes, wanted a quick bite to eat and drink. Fairly busy but quick service, the food was piping hot.

So so so... I will start with the positive. Food. Good and tasty, sometimes burnt. Tables - always dirty, wet. And then the worst thing... Ivy wall workers accused my partner of trying to drive drunk!!! And called me a B word when I have asked them to prove it. About two months ago we went to Ivy Wall to have some food and drinks - 3 ladies and my partner. Lets start from the fact, that my partner DOESN'T DRINK ALCOHOL. He had coke and we girls had a pint of beer each. Then we finished our food and drinks and went to The Punchbowl. After two hours we came back to the car and my partner went to the left side of the car so he could open the door for me. When I got in, he went to his side, started the car when ivy wall staff jumped out screaming at him that he is drunk and can't drive. We were in shock! They accused my partner being drunk because they thought he was getting into the wrong side!! And apparently they said they have a proof on cameras and when we asked to show it, they couldn't!!, absolutely disgusting, and when I started to film this disgusting situation I've been called a B word. I told them I can call a police myself to check him regarding consuming alcohol but then they would have to pay for my time, unfortunately they didn't want it. So at the end they said (the lady) : if you're not scared about your life, you can go with him. Absolutely disgusting!!! To hear that when you're sober and not drinking alcohol!!! I was so sorry for my partner and this made me fell disgusted about Ivy Wall staff that were there. When we wrote a review to wheatherspoon managament, they didn't do nothing. So customers are nothing for them. Avoid.

The pizza I had was not the correct one because I said margertia but instead they did the complete opposite

Went for lunch with fellow stooges Kev and Simon. We would go again but not for a while.

Usual Wetherspoons fare and prices (although recent increases mean it's feeling pricier) but the issue here was the aircon being set to mimic arctic conditions in February.

We sometimes pop in for a beer and lunch. It's ok, the food is what you expect from Wetherspoons and we have never had a meal that we would consider bad here. The interesting thing about the building is the glass floor area at the front which allows you to see part of the old (probably) medieval masonry and some stairs which are now under the building. Often wonder about the people who may have trodden the troughs into their stones over the centuries. The tables sometimes take the staff a while to clean and the toilets are good. It does not have much of an atmosphere and it's more cafe-like than pub, the staff are busy and the hum of customer conversations is generally all there is. Parking is best done in the B&Q carpark and walk to the pub (2 mins). We have never been in the evening so cannot say what it's like then.

A small group of ladies went last Tuesday (23rd January). They were advertising haggis as it was Burns week. We especially went for this. They didn’t have any- even although there were flyers on the tables. The server was very rude, said he didn’t know what haggis was!! We decided to have the small fish(?) and chips. It was disgusting and an insult. Hardly any fish, just hard batter. With hindsight we should have refused it and gone elsewhere. Won’t be back.

In my opinion this place is the best Spoons in the area Food is always quick and reliably tasty

Had curry night with friends and my daughter who works there. Couldn't fault anything. Food was excellent. Service was excellent

South Lincolnshire Mini Owners Club had a breakfast meet at The Ivy Wall 14/1/24. There were 11 of us altogether and we each ordered with whoever we came with so it wasn't one huge order but still, it took quite some time for food to be brought out. Almost everyone left some of their food, mainly the sausages so I'm unsure if there was an issue with them. As a vegetarian, I went for the Quorn sausage sandwich but the bangers weren't what I am used to, but the bread/ketchup was delicious 😋 I wouldn't have that again, in fact I am unsure whether I would come for breakfast again. I intend to do a poll amongst those who came on Sunday so i know their exact views, which will help us when wondering about visiting again. I would visit, but I wouldn't eat at the Ivy Wall.

The staff there Laura and Jodie really helpful and hardworking, I have not seen that kind of service anywhere else in the town. Thank you will defo come back again..

Breakfast- I gotta say I do love the breakfast wraps at spoons 😁. Dinner I had the American burger was quite disappointed at the small burger, flavour wasn't great either the chips were nice and crispy though, however my partner loved the Al Fredo pasta thing she had so that bumped the marks up chery polite and well presented staff 4/5 would eat again

Food was burnt small portions dirty plates on tablets not enough staff bar food was very horrible mixed large grill had 3 tiny bits meat 14 pound RIP off

My wife and I don't venture out very often but like to spoil ourselves occasionally. So this was a real treat for us. Food, service, staff and atmosphere was great, we will be back.

The portions were much smaller than when I went to a Wetherspoon in Sleaford

A typical Wetherspoon pub. Friendly staff and some local customers made us laugh. Also I was able to try some different beers as we were staying in Spalding for the weekend.

Usually busy, the focal point of Spalding. Service is good, food is great value as with any Wetherspoons.

Popped in for a catch up with friends. Good selection of Real Ales. The staff were very friendly and approachable although the place was quite busy because it was Saturday evening. The tables were cleared and cleaned very quickly. Another great Wetherspoons pub

An average drop in pub..great local community spirit mostly English 👍 folk.

We asked for the waitress for napkins, we had to ask twice , the chicken wasn't cooked, the eggs and mushrooms taste like meat . Very bad experience, not going again.

This place is good however we happened to pop in on Saturday dinner time they didn't have what we wanted cos they were having a delivery I thought what a time to have one at one of the buisy times to run out of food when they should be fully stocked saying that it's still a nice place to visit just need to sort delivery out so this sort of thing doesn't happen and you have to order something else very nearly whent somewhere else hope they sort it out

Only had the wings and chips there but very nice tasty cheap alcohol. Their isn't any music so you create the atmosphere but with a group of us we enjoyed it

Went to this pub today to have a pub lunch with the Misses and baba. When we walked in the place is clean and tidy with staff walking around ensuring customers and venue is OK. We had food and drinks here and the food is amazing. Excellent portion size. In total we spent just over £25 for 2 main meals, kids meal and haloumi fries. Overall would rate this establishment 5* with staff and cleanliness. Will be coming back agen.
