The best restaurant I have visited! What an atmosphere, amazing service and food was outstanding!!! Me and my friends visited last night ( we do not go out often) and I think we did the right choice of visiting this little cozy place! Definitely will comeback soon!!!

Excellent food and prompt service

We just visited for the first time and took advantage of the 2 courses for £14 deal which is available on a Saturday between 12 and 5. The food was sensational, very, very generous portions and the staff were so friendly. We will definitely be back and highly recommend a visit.

We went for a meal for my daughters birthday the food and service was amazing, even though it was very busy I cannot fault it at all. Definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

Fantastic service, food was out of this world!

We ordered seafood pizza at £16 should of had clams , tuna ,pawns , anchovies, really disappointed a budget pizza with tuna spread on it not worth the money . We do expect more at £16 . The other pizza with prawns Spicy sausage at £14.95 also the same a budget pizza . Not worth the money, tesco pizza would be a better option and value for money.

underwhelming, came for a birthday meal but had to wait 20+ mins to sit at our table which we reserved and got there on time for. Its a very friends and family vibe, with lots of large familys in when we went which just added to the overwhelming noise. Music was too loud. Girls as staff / waitresses wonder round and stand behind the bar when it looks busy. They were lovely though and apologised for a slow service, but I felt it wasn’t worth the money. Pasta bolognese was not rich at all, pasta wasn’t al dente and you could probably order the same meal in a kids soft play. Maybe it’s better to come here on a school night when it’s less busy

Firstly I didn’t get what I ordered…& personally I don’t think sea bass really goes with risotto!! Drinks very expensive £6.50 pint lager! No Xmas atmosphere too many people crowded on one long table. My whole afternoon was a bad experience. I won’t be revisiting.

This was my second visit here. Both times, I must say, the food was exceptional! The place looks tiny from the outside, but they can seat loads of people. It was buzzing with good vibes. The team were very attentive and helpful! Recommend!

My recent visit here was disappointing, I've had many enjoyable meals at The Italian Kitchen but felt the restaurant, on this occasion, was not up to its usual high standards. The food and service were very mixed. On the positive side the arancini and lasagne were great, the chicken in blue cheese sauce was also delicious but the bacon that came with it was hard as stone. The caprese would have been lovely but it was over salted, the cooked chicken on the pizza had a peculiar taste as if it had been stored in a fridge uncovered and the battered prawn starter was overcooked so the batter was brown in places. In addition to this the main course was brought to the table before clearing the starter plates away and when I went to the toilet there was no soap. Having said all of this I will be back again as I've had many a good meal here in the past and hope this was just a one off slip in standards.

Family of 4 we found here the balance of the perfect atmosphere and the delicious food. Staff are always friendly and smiling, making you feel welcome. I'll happily recommend this restaurant. It is the best

We were sat by the door very cold ,people waiting for a long time breathing over our food, also some one farted as i was eating food was worth the wait ,wouldn't want to go on a Sunday again, far too busy 7 of us sat on a table that was too small ,

Booked the family in for steak night as advertised on their website at £35 for 2 x steaks with wine . Arrived to read the menu and it says price £40 ! Little one ordered a mocktail but they waitress came back to say they had no mint ........ordered different one .....steaks came put, all were lovely ......desert time, little ordered chocolate brownie .........waitress came back sorry no chocolate brownies .......all in all nice steaks but still a quite pricey Tues night out when you add it all up ....

Amazing food ...I've had pasta ,pizza & there Roast on a Sunday..everything so lovely,hot & fresh .Staff all extremely friendly .Great atmosphere.

The owner is an amazing human being. I had the pleasure of eating here and the food was nothing less than great but what really amazed me was seeing the owner treating every one equally, and I mean stuff and even the delivery drivers, I heard him asking if they wanted a drink wile waiting. This restaurant deserves respect.

A perfect treat for a Friday lunchtime. First time I’d tried the omelette; it was amazing. So tasty ❤️. The omelette was served with chunky chips and a salad. I would definitely recommend 😀

We have visited many times and never a bad meal. Friendly service, great atmosphere and well priced genuine Italian cuisine and wines.

Myself and my daughter came for the Tuesday steak offer. I have to say the steak was cooked beautifully! Tasty chunky chips and salad. Also came with wine as part of the deal! We had a wonderful night and the staff/service was fantastic as always! Jimmy, Jen and the team always make you feel welcome! Thank you again.

Best Italian in Bristol!!! I am such a pasta snob, and only go to the best Italian restaurants in London. I went there for my nieces birthday and the food was delicious and of generous portion. Will definitely go back’

We spent a fun afternoon here enjoying the bottomless brunch deal. The food was amazing, tasty and great value . The staff were helpful and friendly. Service was excellent with regular top ups on the drinks. We all enjoyed the experience and would recommend a visit.

We visited this restaurant in busy Sunday evening. I can understand that have to be very stressful and hard for the staff but we've been very disappointed with slow service in restaurant, we waited just too long for ordering and food as well. I don't want to be just negative and have to say food was absolutely delicious and in my case spaghetti Carbonara was just fantastic! The owner of the restaurant was very nice and friendly too and he did apologise for the waiting, but that can't change our experience unfortunately. But because all that lovely food I'll give the restaurant second chance in future and will comeback hopefully I'll have a different and better experience!

Went to the Italian Kitchen for Sunday Roast lunch on the recommendation of others, as not somewhere you would naturally think about for English Sunday Roast. Mostly vg, with big veg portions, massive yorkshire, all well cooked and reasonably priced. Only grip was chicken portion was small and dry. Those that had pork, beef and veggie option all had good sized, juicy portions. That said overall vg and will go there again for sure, just won't have the chicken.

We visited for Sunday Roast on 22nd Sept. I heard that it was popular so I booked a few weeks ago. So glad I did. The restaurant was very busy! Even so, we were seated immediately, and drinks arrived within 5 mins. The service was amazing! The dinners were huge, the best Yorkshire pudding I've ever had. I can't wait to come back!!

The restaurant was very busy but this did not affect the service which was excellent. I would definitely recommend the roast, I had the beef, thick slices with a generous portion of vegetables, some of our party had the lamb shank which literally fell off the bone. Great service all round from Jen, Jimmy and all staff. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Great Italian food. Good selection on the menu. I had bolognaise, and it tasted homemade. There is no parking but there is a pay and display car park just down the road opposite. A large step to enter the premises but a member of staff set up a ramp, making the restaurant accessible. Will definitely be back.

Impeccable service and the meal second to none. I am looking forward to my birthday lunch with a few family and friends next week.

First time customer. Three takeaway pizzas ordered. Not disappointed. Absolutely delicious. My husband was so pleased to find somewhere that did a fish pizza. Will have to dine there another time. Definitely recommend

Loved it here! Food was spot on, service was fab and great atmosphere too! Can't wait to go back! Delicious roast, huge yorkshire puddings and so much veg, we ended up taking some home!

Staff lovely. Food lovely. But so packed in there. It's was hot.even children crying due ti heat.

Disappointed with our first and will be the last visit, thought our meal was overpriced ordering lasagna that was how it came, no chips, salad just lasagna.My drink was served warm, and on leaving noticed cans of cider in a fridge when I was under the impression that it was on tap.On a plus the service was excellent, but our overall experience was not good.

A group of 17 work colleagues went to the Italian kitchen yesterday for lunch for a little surprise baby shower for a colleague. From the minute I placed the booking they were so accommodating, allowing some of us to get there early to decorate the table and let us take in our own cupcakes. We were seated all together on a long table at the back of the restaurant, it was full in there but the atmosphere was lovely and not too noisy. Some of us who had to leave early were able to order food before everyone else and someone even took their food home! The food was exceptional and was enjoyed by all 17 of us. Thank you to Jen and the team for your hospitality. x

Bad service. Sunday lunch with friends. The food was fine. But We weren’t asked if we wanted anymore to drink after we initially sat down or shown the desert menu. it was stifling hot also.

Have eaten here several times over the years and the food is always fantastic as is the service, yesterday had my first roast and had it delivered, it was fantastic, great portion sizes, gravy was incredible and I can't quite believed it arrived in only 6 minutes of ordering!!! Delivered roasts will be a much more regular occurrence from now on.

Lush meal, good mocktails, friendly service.

First visit for Sunday Lunch. Quite a pleasant experience from my entrance. The staff were very attentive to my requirements, and the service was excellent. The portions are more than adequate. In fact, they gave me a container, and I had another meal the next day. The cooking was, in my opinion, spot on. The price was fair, and the value for money was better than expected. I will certainly be a regular visitor

Lovely and quiet mid week lunch. Staff were wonderful and food was great! We had the pizza with spicy sausage, prawns and onions (Sei on menu) and Penne Arrabiata - big recommends on both!

We came in on a busy Saturday night with no booking/reservation and they went above and beyond to make sure we had a table. They were so lovely and when we saw then serve a birthday cake for someones birthday, they made the experience really fun and had the whole restaurant join in. Felt really wholesome inside even though it was super busy but we really appreciate the fact they sat us down quickly as well as serve us well. They made sure to not forget about us! I also really liked the fact they had a big variety on dishes. They didnt just offer pizza and pasta...they had meat and seafood options.

Had a Sunday roast and was delicious. Always a risk when ordering lamb as it's not always cooked right but it was literally falling off the bone and was perfect. Highly recommend

Simply Amazing! The food is delicious, we had the Bruschetta to start, Penna Pollo Pasta, thick cut chips and garlic cheese pizza for main to share. The portions are very generous and a very warm welcome from Jimmy and his team! Denfitnely a firm favourite restaurant of ours! Can't wait to return, it's always a highlight of our week!

A nice place, my wife and i had a rare child free evening, and it's local. The food was really good quality. The manager was a little frantic, but it was a hot day, and the place was warm inside. The service was attentive but not overbearing, which I thought was great. The value for money was good. I will happily recommend and return.

Always brilliant service. Fed a party of 8 of us and food was hot and delicious. The place was packed but we got our food very quickly. I always have to take a doggy bag home...quantity as well as quality. Love this place and boss man 😃

First time doing here from a friend’s recommendation, honestly the best roast I’ve had. We order the beef and also added pork belly. The best roast we’ve had, we have already rebooked!

After having Uber eats drop my food all over my doorstep they made me a fresh order and gave me a free garlic bread, the lady manger was super lovely and professional.

Although we ate early evening the place was quite busy. We all (4 people) totally enjoyed our food. Service was friendly and efficient. Prices were very good.

Being a bit harsh with my review, even though the Sunday roast was AMAZING!!. Beef was cooked perfectly. Yorkshire pud was fluffy and yum, and the gravy was perfect. Lost one star on service because we weren't told that certain things weren't on the menu due to it being Sunday ( I was really looking forward to a particular chicken dish). Also, my Mother In Law was disappointed that the offer of 2 courses for X' amount was only for starters and a roast. She would have like mains and dessert. Staff were super friendly, kind, and attentive, but the restaurant was so packed with tables and small walkways that to get out, everyone had to back up into a space between diners and then attempt to go again, then brushing past people at the door. Just a little bit snug and cosy. Like I said, though. I have been fussy with my review. It was lovely. They would benefit greatly from bigger premises as they're clearly very popular.

Seafood pizza was the best I've had in years!!

All a pleasant evening with Italian kitchen! The Italian restaurant exceeded expectations with their delicious chicken bacon risotto. The dish was perfectly cooked, with tender chicken and crispy bacon complementing the creamy risotto. The flavors were well-balanced. The ambiance of the restaurant added to the overall dining experience, making it a memorable meal. Would definitely recommend for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine!

There were 19 of us for Sunday lunch , we must have been a nightmare of a table for the staff. But we had a brilliant time, nothing was too much trouble, the waitresses were kind efficient and attentive. The food was delicious too. Thank you

We were given a given voucher for here and told it was lovely so was looking forward to some nice Italian food. Unfortunately it didn’t live up to our expectations. There was a bit of an odd smell as soon as you walk through the door, which wasn’t a good start. The waitress was polite and gave us a choice of tables. My wife had the linguini and ‘spicy’ meatballs, I had a pizza and my son had a kids chicken goujons. The pizza was supposed to be spicy but was rather bland but not too bad. The meatballs were the size of tennis balls, they were so dry in the middle it was difficult to pick them up on a fork, they tasted like cheap burgers. My son’s goujons tasted of chip fat, the fries it came with reminded me of the scraps you used to get for free from a chip shop and were covered in salt. Personally I wouldn’t return, the place was dirty, the fire escape door we were sat by was filthy, the ovens looked stained with fat, if you’re going to have a kitchen that’s visible to customers it should be spotless.

The food was amazing. Very busy but served promptly. The main guy was attentive & friendly, however, the waiting staff seemed pissed off about something & came across as unfriendly. A minor blip .

We love coming here. However, every time we do, the service is terrible. Food is always good, a little inconsistent but flavourful. We were seated near the toilets, a little squashed if you were sitting on the outside chair with waitresses bashing past you each time. Had to wait ages for the table to be cleared of mains. Took ages for someone to bring dessert menu after we had to ask for it. Then, we had to ask someone for our dessert order to be taken. Again, then, I had to ask for the bill. Could've done with a drink re fill, but no one was attending us. Didn't even ask if our food was OK. With all the waitresses stood near the toilets, you'd think at least one of them could have served us. It's a shame as we really like going, but we always know if we do go, we have to wait and ask for attention. Young waitresses need a little more training. Hopefully, they can sort it out soon.

ust popped in for a lunch . Very quick , super friendly and efficient staff greeted us and got us a table without reservation. Starters came out just a few minutes after getting our drinks . Everything was greatly presented , very well seasoned and super tasty . We had a great lunchtime deal and could enjoy more authentic food for less :) . Super friendly waiter hosted us with a big smile . Highly recommend it, worth a visit if you’re going on a date , eating out with family or celebrating a birthday :) . Will visit again .

I used to think this was the best restaurant in the street, but after being unreasonably verbally attacked and teased by restaurant staff for asking for food packing box and bag, I am disappointed with the place. They were very rude.

A very good time was spent there. I like the fact that you are not rushed and have all the time you need to order and eat. The staff is very nice and helpful. The only downside is that it is very loud and has no music. It's a tiny place with lots of seats.
