Nice cafe with great service in the Italian garden

Excellent coffee and very tasty sandwich (tom & mozzarella ciabatta) with a tremendous view of the fountains in the Italian gardens. Not the cheapest but quite possibly the best!

Unacceptable behaviour. Three of our friends went here for the first time on a sunny day, we came here with good energy and to relax… One of the staff members from a recruitment company, Alex, kindly came to our table and asked if we needed some help with the drinks and how we were doing, he was sinking and happy and I asked him if he would be so kind to take my order with my card as I saw he was a good person and he seemed to want to help. He kindly took the order and brought the drinks and their manager Mohhamed found out about this and instead of talking to him in a good way as a normal human being he just had one on him and fired him right after the action… I understand there are rules to follow and also ways to test people, and they did not have any of those not listened to what we had to say… as a business owner they have lost three clients and shows how they don’t know how to run their business… Alex got fired and was really worried for being told off by the manager Mohhamed… that’s not how you treat people first of all… they could say that can’t do this but they did a nice gesture and move on, instead, they not only fired him but they made him feel really bad. I had to talk to him when he left the bar and tell him that he did a good gesture and maybe this is not the place to work for him as they showed no appreciation… Whoever is running this, they can train their staff or if nothing major happens at least communicate but without taking such dramatic responses. They have lost three clients, shown no appreciation for their team( actually scare them by not communicating properly) and gained a nice review for everyone to see. We are definitely not recommending this place as I do prefer to pay more for good service than seeing this happening in a business… if they treat people like this I don’t want to know how it is run, but same way. Thanks for Alex as he inocently and kindly did a good gesture for us and they should find a proper manager who can lead their team nicely, communicating everything he can to keep a good energy within their team and not scare them like this.

Good location because one can easily spot it after entering the park from the Bayswater Road. Fantastic view if you can chope a seat outside the cafe. Food is okay but not so great service. The staff was not friendly and didn’t pay you any attention until you walk straight and was in front of their cashier. Was unaware because they never asked if I eat in and wrapped my toastie in paper which was not so appetizing.

I have to add my review, to balance some of the negative reviews. My family have lived by the Park for 200 years, and I have been walking with dogs in the Park all my 60 years. The Italian Gardens cafe was a shack just selling hot drinks, then a shoddy cafe, and now has become a smart cafe with one of the best views in London. I doubt it makes much money, and just cover the costs of its efficent and polite staff. For me and many regular Hyde Park users, the Park dog walk has become an important of our culture, and I'd like to think Queen Victoria once saying to the Kensington Gardens managers when she opened the Gardens to the public "make sure dogs have somewhere to get a drink" (hence the dog bowls), and one of her successors saying, "let the walkers have a drink too". So to the guests of the Park, the tour guides, please note: the Italian Gardens Cafe has a wonderful setting, excellent staff and service, very good although expensive food and drink considering the limited logistics, and remember..the dogs were here first, and long may they be allowed. Let's just be grateful.

Got a toasted ciabatta with mozzarella and tomato. Sadly the tomatoes are cheap salads brand that taste bitter, rather than sun dried tomatoes as it uses to be. Defo going down the pan

I had the vegan cheese + tomato toastie for breakfast, and it was really delicious! Loved every bite! The drinks here are delicious, as well, with vegan options available

Nice coffee and quick service but total chaos. There is no organised queue system so it was a big scrum of people at the counter all waiting to order and collect orders. Those of us that were queuing for a till were queue jumped repeatedly and the people on the tills didn't seem to notice or care

Cute spot to grab a coffee or a pastry while overlooking the gardens. Was busy and not able to find a table, but there is plenty of benches nearby in the gardens. Coffee is great!

I tried their Micato once, and it's absolutely delicious. The best thing about the place is the view, which is worth a try

The food is less than normal, but the view overlooking the garden is frankly amazing and is a bit of a relief. I might repeat the experience to drink coffee. The food is rather ordinary, but the breathtaking garden view compensates to some extent. I might consider returning for coffee.

Grabbed a quick drink on a long walk! Service was great, and the iced latte tasted fantastic! They do have sourdough sandwich options if you’re gluten free (didn’t get a chance to try them but will have an updated review shortly)!

Bonito lugar con una gran vista sobre los jardines italianos de Hyde Park. Preciosa elección de menú. Pasteles y todo tipo de cosas diferentes. Me gustó mucho.

My mom and I were here for a breakfast. The coffee was great, and so are the croissant and scrambled eggs. Shop is very pet friendly or even animal friendly because sometimes pigeons can be just near you for some of your food😏

The place is beautiful, but in the end it is a small cafe that serves omelettes and croissants. The session is simple and beautiful.

The breakfast was delicious, eggs and croissants, with cappuccino. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the Indian waiter was very helpful and courteous.

Delicious coffee. I ordered a white cappuccino. It was delicious because the espresso was delicious. We had a light brunch with cookies and bread that we had on a nearby bench. Great atmosphere too!

Queued for 15 mins - before midday - to place our order and pay. Waited another 5 mins to be told that they had already 'run out' of the food I had ordered. Was offered nothing similar and then seemed surprised that I wanted a full refund rather than just having our drinks!

Service was okay. Feel a bit cheated by the food. Ordered a pizza and was hoping for real pizza on real dough from a place that labels itself Italian, however it was on one of those cheap mini pizza bases you can get in texco. View of the garden is great and I think that's how they get their buisness.

The food is okay (got a almond croissant and tomato/mozzerella sandwich) and coffee is good, but nothing you can’t get anywhere else. The location though! Absolute best place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and see the city wake 🙌

Arrived exactly on time. Casual take-your-own cafe...interior seating. We had to take it because it was packed outside. Nice tableware design, good cake,lovely service behind the counter, good atmosphere. Everything worked out for a nice 40 minute break. Absolutely to be recommended.

Picked up a hot chocolate at the Italian Gardens Cafe recently that was just ok, drink was too milky with only hints of chocolate. On the whole, not a very good hot drink, probably should have just ordered a coffee instead. Was nice enjoying my drink at a park bench next to the Italian Garden fountain pools however.

El horario de apertura es de 7. 30 am a 7 . 30 pm todos los días. Recogí un chocolate caliente en el Café Jardines Italiano recientemente que estaba bien, la bebida era demasiado lechosa con solo toques de chocolate. En general, no es una muy buena bebida caliente, probablemente debería haber pedido un café en su lugar. Fue agradable disfrutar de mi bebida en un banco del parque al lado de las piscinas de la fuente del jardín italiano sin embargo.

Magnificently well placed with direct views of the Italian garden. The coffees are excellent and the waiters welcoming. This was our obligatory point of passage every morning during our vacation to start the day off right.

An al fresco breakfast in Hyde Park / Kensington Gardens, what more could you want. Enjoy the sun and the surroundings and the delicious meal. Very friendly staff and the food is a delight.

The latte macchiato wasn't what I'm used to with lots of milk and espresso. It was more of a coffee with a little milk, very bitter. Cannoli was ok.

This little cafe in Hyde Park is great for a quick coffee fix. The staff are friendly and the drinks are made quickly. Unfortunately, when I visited, there weren't any seats available for me and my friend. It seems they could do with a few more chairs. Apart from that, it's a good spot and I'd recommend giving it a try.

I recently visited Italian Gardens Cafe and had a wonderful experience. I ordered a Matcha Latte and a Margherita Pizza, both of which were delightful. The Matcha Latte was smooth and perfectly balanced, while the Margherita Pizza had a deliciously fresh flavor with a crispy crust and just the right amount of cheese. The staff were amazing—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was just right. The service was prompt and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. The atmosphere at the cafe is truly marvellous, with a warm and inviting ambiance that makes you want to linger and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, Italian Gardens Cafe is a fantastic spot for a relaxing meal with great service and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The service here is really terrible, they simply don't have enough staff to both take orders and make coffees. It's a real shame for such a great location.

The worst thing that happened here was that we were charged £9 extra for one of the items we ordered. Staff said that was a system error. Make sure you double-and-triple-check the receipt before you walk away from the till. The atmosphere here is also very bad with dogs walking around the tables freely. One of the people we asked if she could keep her dog to herself was obviously annoyed at us and then laughed at us when we were subsequently disturbed by another dog coming to our table. This café seems to attract a nasty crowd for one reason or another. The occupants of another table kept giving us dirty looks because we wouldn't let them take my chair for themselves (!)... It was a pleasure to leave this café never to return and it is the best advice to give anyone. Unless you are a nasty (dog owner) don't stop here at all. Customer service awful. They told us that we can't expect pizzas since it's after 17.00 (no time restrictions were listed on the pizza menu) and then blamed customers for low food availability. Do them a favour and don't turn up at all, so they can have plenty on offer in the fridge. We ended up amending our order and still paying the full price for it. If an Italian café serving delicious pizza by an Italian fountain in central London sounds too good to be true, it, actually, is... All that shines is not gold... This place is best left for dogs to enjoy.

We went there for the colicci gelato and it was a disappointment, very small portion for the price and the taste is okayish. Very limited flavours, many were not available. The view is the only thing that worth it in the cafe.

We ordered a cappuccino AND a hot Mate Latte. They are very good, but we couldn't find a place to sit and went to the lawn (quite common apparently) to have it. I will always prefer to make a coffee sitting down and rest for a while.

We got tiramisu, iced chocolate milk and ice cream. I am sorry to say none of them worth the money we paid. Chocolate milk was just milk with ice and chocolate pieces swimming in It. Every sip was a regret…Ice cream was very expensive for the taste. Tiramisu was a CRIME 😁 I want to forget how It taste for the sake of all the good ones Ive eaten. Service and staff was okay.

Would you like to meet all the Hyde Park dogs? 🐶🐕🦮🐕‍🦺🐩 Enough is the status of a hero who eats it with Americano flavor and is bitter (it tastes bitter, meaning after half an hour you get acidity). Eggs are sweet.

The cafe seem to be run by benugo, like most royal park cafes. The coffee steamer wands were quite crusty with burnt milk still stuck to it when I visited. Hope it’s clean now

Pop over for a coffee, very nice location and I love the slope towards the cafe, full of flowers. The chocolate gelato is so delicious, perfect for a break in a summer afternoon.

Terrible. Promised to be extra careful for my daughters allergies making a babicinno and proceeded to use the same steamer they use for dairy. Caused her an allergic reaction.

Nice selection of hot and cold drinks, as well as pastries and I believe they offer hot food like pizza too. Definitely London prices but not as bad as it could be. Had the vegan sausage roll and vegan hot chocolate which were both very nice. Seating inside and out.

Great coffee, really enjoyed the bircher muesli. The service was efficient but bland. The fit out of the cafe looked good from afar but was quite unappealing up close. Loved the dogs coming in and out. The outlook was great.

Didn't realize it until I got too far away to take it back but my toastie had lettuce that had gone bad. Looks yellow(which I'm fine eating the yellow inside part of lettuce if that's what this is) but the taste was well and truly foul.

An excellent cafe on the edge of the park. The sun warms the terrace. We offer snacks, both cold and hot drinks in the Italian way. Even though the place is bustling with people on a sunny day, the service behind the counter plays fast and casually. Quite an expensive place.

Three stars only for minimal Vegan choices, for savoury and pastries.. (Not the quality of anything) this is, i know, difficult to cater for all, however the vegan sausage roll is good and everything else is excellent. Very good matcha with plant based options. Great attentive service and the views are just simply splendid, gardens and fountains (the fountains settings are a place for laminar and turbulence lovers alike)

I was looking for a place to take a drink during a walk in the garden on a Sunday evening. It was the only place open near the entrance so we decided to give it a try. The drinks are good and the service was quick. I tried the oat milk iced matcha and it was very good.

It's amazing.. the fountain view right in front is a spectacular view in the morning.. The people are lovely Nd food just tastes great Nd I'll definitely say it's never over priced but the quality is way higher than expected to be. Perfect place to hang in alone or even with friends or family.

Food is ok, but expensive for what it is. Staff reasonably friendly. Can get very busy. You get a number and wait for your order ie hot food/coffee. Handy to public loo around the corner. 😉

According to the meny you can ask for gluten-free options but a very unfriendly girl tells me they don't have any, so stay away from this terrible place!
