Unfortunately the foul mouthed men at the bar spoiled our visit, which is a shame as we were staying nearby and were planning to adopt the pub as our local.

Love this place food always great, Adrian is always friendly and helpful as are the staff, a little treasure, go visit !!!

As a large group of hungry walkers, although we pre-booked, we found the staff very accommodating and the food excellent. We will definitely be returning next year - a great place to eat and relax after walking Stiperstones.

My husband had a Steak & Stilton pie. I had Chicken leek & Stilton sauce and my son had Lasagne. All beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. Will be back again soon. Highly recommended.

Beautiful food and drink, great service

A very nice pub with good food and a warm welcome. I was most impressed with the amount of food available. The regular menu had all the standard food grub but the "specials" boards were just as big and along with the vegetarian and fish options everyone would find something to their liking. The lamb burger I had and the lamb chump chops that I tried were excellent and the rhubarb crumble (one of my favourite dishes) did not disappoint. The staff were pleasant, helpful when deciding what to eat and well informed about the local area which is a bonus when you are on a getaway. We got to the Inn On The Green in the early afternoon and found a seat with ease but we were warned that we would need to book ahead for an evening or weekend meal as it can get very busy. The next time I go (and there will be a next time) I will be keen to try something else on the specials boards.

Lovely country pub, very friendly atmosphere and staff

We called at The Inn on the Green by chance when on a cycling ride. The staff were friendly and helpful. No problem to park our bikes near the door with some shelter from the rain. There was an good menu and food was good and reasonably priced.

Stayed at the campsite and walked there in a couple of minutes. Broad menu with everything you would expect and then lovely specials as well. Very generous portions, excellent quality and very reasonably priced. Had the lamb shank and cod - both beautiful! Would definitely go back!

Good food, friendly staff, great atmosphere

Visited the campsite behind the pub and thought after the drive and setting up we’d go for a spot of lunch. We were warmly welcomed quickly served drinks and we found a table outside under shelter witch was nice for us and the kids as it was a hot day. Food was ordered and served in good time no one was disappointed good wholesome Food at VERY reasonable prices. Please keep up the good work we will be popping in again next time where on-site.

Really nice food. Specials were particularly good and tasty. Good value and very friendly and helpful staff. The place has nice views over the east Onny river and is a great place to catch up with friends and family. Will definitely come again

I haven't stayed here but the pub , the food , the staff , the drinks , the location and everything else is absolutely brilliant 👌. Well worth a visit , if you want a Sunday lunch , make sure you book well in advance as its that good , popular and in demand.

Great Family Pub and restaurant, I have been coming here every now and then for 10 years, it has always been a good place to have a really nice meal with family

Visited the pub, what a gem, something for everyone, from tourists, locals and people just wanting food. Our meal was superb, the staff were very attentive, the owners also top notch! Atmosphere was fantastic, happy people every where. This is what makes Britain Great!

What a gem, superb location, the staff absolutely spot on, food, very enjoyable. A well rounded location that suits all, locals, very polite, families from the caravan park behind, also polite, a bit of Britain that is still GREAT. The owners made us very, very welcome indeed.

Sorry....but extremely disappointed with my meal today. The staff member did knock it off our bill but to honest I would have rather had an enjoyable meal. I am not a massive eater so opted for a cheese baguette. The baguette was obviously frozen as extremely dry, hard to chew. Really quite unpleasant and unfortunately inedible !The others in my party had enjoyable meals.

The pub is great, food is brilliant. Everybody is friendly, nice location. Manager and barstaff are all ready to share a laugh and a joke or even a chat. Clean and tidy. It's dog friendly. Nice beer garden

I mislaid my wife during a walk and decided to wait here in case she turned up. The staff were sympathetic and helpful. I enjoyed a couple of Butty Bach brews although the meals we chose (when my wife finally showed) reflected the fact that the kitchen was trying to close. Its business seems to come from the nearby caravan park so its public bar is enormous!

Lovely pub with food to die for !! Had 3 meals over a week and everyone of them were fantastic!! The steak n Stilton pie gave the midlands pie factory's posh n becks a run for its money. The lamb shanks were amazing and the kids were happy with their choices also. We will definitely return to try the Sunday carvery. Friendly staff and very clean would definitely recommend a visit.

Excellent could not wish for a better Sunday lunch. The staff are very friendly and helpful would use the the Inn more if we did live here but at the moment we are on holiday. We will try to get back to try the main menu.

We visited with family to celebrate a special occasion, due to covid restrictions this seemed a good choice and we were not dissapointed. It's probably fair to say that this was at the lower end of the pricing scale and I have taken that into account with my review, it was what i would call proper pub food rather than gastro and that certainly wasn't a bad thing with generous portions and sensible pricing, The value factor pushes this up to excellant from a very good. We attended for the carvery on a Sunday and the food was well cooked. There was a menu with a tick sheet which made ordering simple. The food was served quickly and there was plenty on the plate. Drinks were ordered to the table and also arrived quickly. We were not rushed despite spending a fair amount of time catching up after our meal. The desserts we had were a little dissapointing but that's not to say they were bad, but could have been better. I had only been in once before several years ago and had I realised they served food i'd certainly have eaten then too! The team were friendly and polite and did there best to help us out and mentioned that it was one of the first they had put on since reopening so I felt they did a really good job. Given Covid restrictions, this was one of the first meals out we had in quite some time and felt safe.

A group of 17 of us went there last night for a meal. Everyone of us loved what we had, not one complaint about anything. Great beers at great prices. Lot of choice on the menu. Excellent service. Excellent food. Some of our people's comments - 'best pie I've had for ten years'. 'garlic mushrooms to die for'. 'lamb chumps, mash and minted gravy was a flavour explosion'. Fantastic place.

Started using the inn on the green about a 6 weeks ago. Sunday carvery is great.

Was recommended (by a local) to try here for a late afternoon Sunday lunch (re-opens at 17.30). Sign outside stated ‘fully booked’ due to a village christening - but I don’t give up that easily and after sussing the place out I approached the owner. He was very accommodating and within 20mins I was tucking into a delicious homemade steak & ale pie (fully wrapped in pastry), new pots and greens, wash down with superb Ludlow Gold. Great value excellent food perfect ale and friendly staff. Wonderful. Look up the location before you go..!

What could be better than staying at the caravan park next door and having a great pub with great food next door within staggering distance. How we managed desert I don't know as the portions are very generous but it was all so delicious we couldn't resist. It was so good we came back the next night!

We had 3 brilliant meals at the Inn on the Green while on holiday in May. We have eaten in lots of places and this is the best for quantity and quality the staff are great to very welcoming looking forward to returning on our next visit.
