The Inferno in Bournemouth

Ordered some hot food in this resturaunt it came out cold even the egg yoke was hard when i tried to send it back i was told it was my fault because i had it for 15 mins which is totally untrue i only had the food for a few mins. The atitude of the waitress (chloe) was disgraceful and when i tried to speak to the manager her atitude wasnt much better so in the end i spent £5.75 on a piece of toast and left very unhappy and frustrated ive never been anywhere that doesnt want to try and sort your food out and make you happy i will never visit there again and will tell all my friends and family to go elswhere also. What a disapointment

Came in with a big group of mates for lunch and we’re lokked after well. The food service was fast despite it being pretty busy and when it came there were empty plates all round! Not only that but we were a big group of lads and we were all able to get different beers because of how many they had on offer. Will definitely be coming back here again!

Drove down from Oxfordshire to visit a friend and go bar hopping. Started at Inferno played some pool and listened to the live music that was on. Got along so well with the staff we ended up staying the whole night. We were told their deep fried Mars bar and BIGGER Breakfast are banging. So we came back the next day order the food, service was fab again and food was amazong. Just wish I live closer to experience it all again sooner.

Went for a couple of drinks and ended up staying until close! Great drink prices and the staff are lovely

Great place, great value and really good food. Best wings ever and if you haven’t been for a wings Wednesday - get down there! Always friendly service but have to give a special mention to Mary, she is excellent and nothing is ever too much trouble for her. Keep up the awesome work team ❤️

I was visiting a student friend of mine. In the afternoon he recommended we go to Inferno as he had a good experience with their burgers. First of all they didn't have their all day breakfast as some of the ingredients were missing to complete the dish. Which was fine if not a little disappointing. I then went with the Sloppy Joe Bagel with chips, and my friends had Chicken wraps. Maybe it was the wrong decision but in my mind i had a nice, american style, pulled steak sandwich with BBQ sauce and onions. We waited around 35 minutes for sandwiches to come out which i think is a bit excessive, even though i understand chicken takes time. What arrived looked like someone had put food colouring in faeces on my plate. the beef was flavourless and unfortunate looking. The bagel was multi coloured for some reason and stale, the cheese was little more than the cheap yellow slabs. The chips were stone cold with 0 seasoning. My friends Chicken wraps felt like rubber and had no taste. To be honest they were put off of their meals simply by looking at the state of the food given to myself. The waitress didn't come over to check on us at all. I imagine this is because she could tell how dissatisfied we were. We ate virtually nothing and left all the food on the table. Very disappointing as my mates had had a good experience there prior with the burgers and breakfast.

If we had been informed that it was going to be nearly a two hour wait for a rather average burger before placing our order then we may have reconsidered. Rude bar lady who stated that she has “already told forty other people the same thing” after we asked a simple question regarding how to use a voucher that we had. However, the American waiter who served the food lightened the experience with his calm and bubbly nature - please hire more people like this!!

I loved this place for their Wing Wednesday Nights. Every wednesday they held a deal (not sure if they still do or not) on wings. You had to get there early however because wings quickly ran out - which I found strange that the restaurant wouldn't prepare for such a night. The atmosphere was great as there were board games, pool tables, and old school video games available for everyone. Service was typically slow.

Waited 1 hour for food.... bearing in mind, there was maybe only 1 or 2 other tables having food as well. As you can imagine, we weren’t too happy about this. When the food finally arrived, it was average at best and the fact that we were starving at this point, made it taste even better. Toast was cold and burnt, beans were cold, butter was next to none existent. Won’t be returning in the future.

Came for some wine yesterday and the staff were so friendly being so accommodating and helpful giving us extra board games, going out of their way to get us the wine we ordered even though the bar was out of stock of it. Had a lovely time chilling in here and thanks especially to Katie!

first night in the inferno last night, they have a large selection of drinks on offer and the food is awesome-big portions at a good price, the burgers are amazing and didn't have to queue up for long at the bar! they had a quiz there which wouldnt normally be our thing but it was super fun and its going to be a regular weekly event for us now, didnt expect to enjoy something like a quiz but we have definitely changed our minds on it, havent laughed so much in a long time and the food was amazing. awesome place to hang with friends 5 stars x

Inferno is a great with and awesome atmosphere. The food here is very good quality and the menu has a great range of food. Each week they have different speciality brews so there is always something different to try. Would recommend inferno to anyone.

I had a lovely time at the Inferno. The new look is awesome and it's perfect for a lunch, for a quiet drink or a busy night, whatever your heart desires. The staff were incredibly attentive. The menu is lush, especially for vegetarians. Will definitely go back :)

Food took over an hour, making it difficult when you only have 1 hour lunch break. Other people I was with received their food and had finished before I even received mine. They were clearly understaffed as there was only 2 people behind the bar, as well as serving food. Prices on menu were wrong. Food was ok but could be better, did arrive quite cold.

I don't usually feel compelled to write a review that isn't 5 stars and it breaks my heart to write this. I've been coming here with my friends semi-regularly over the past 6 years and it's always been a firm favourite place for us to frequent, but I've been noticing over the past few months that the whole experience has become worse and worse each time.

First night of our little trip away to Bournemouth and visited here after reading lots of good reviews of vegan food available. Had no idea what to expect and upon arriving thought it felt like a better version of wetherspoons with quirky touches making it seem more American and I liked the retro video games and themed nights. I was amazed at the vegan food available and was so spoilt for choice I wish i had a bigger appetite! All my favourite foods in one place makes a change from the usual falafel burger or sweet potato curry combos. I settled on 2 jackfruit burgers, sweet potato fries and a butternut squash mac bake. The girl behind the bar was very smiley and friendly and the value for money was great. We had recently had jackfruit burgers at a popular burger joint and spent more there for just 2 burgers. I went back to the table to say to my boyfriend how lovely the girl was before she came over and explained they had vegan mayo with the table condiments. Another surprising touch. The food was so tasty!! Very happy. Can you tell I'm a foodie?! The girl came back and asked where abouts we were from and looked up where another branch of this chain (I had no idea it was a chain) and found that I actually have one very very near to my house I just didn't know it. We left very happy customers and haven't been as impressed with the food choice or service in any other eatery for the rest of the trip. Would highly recommend especially for vegans.

I just popped in for a drink in my way back to the station. An overflow pipe was flowing onto the floor in the tiny cramped cubicle in the ladies so I had to make a quick exit. Feeling like I ought to purchase something as I had used their facilities, I ordered a glass of wine but it was served in a plastic glass! The whole place looked mis-managed and the staff were great but looked worn down.

AWFUL!!! The bar staff are so rude not a friendly place at all! Manger Racheal denyer is disgustingly rude and has no people skills, went to go for chicken wings Wednesday for catch up with friends ended up leaving without ordering as I never ever been so disgusted!! Stood trying to order food with my friend and my daughter, my little girl was just stood next to us looking at the machine, the women was wondering around the place with food in her hand for a costumer she then randomly turned around as walking past can you get your child next to you we then looked at each other and said she is next to us she then replied rudely she needs to be right next to you not running around the place which my child didn’t move once!! I then asked to speak to a manger and she replied I am the manager and there’s no one higher you can talk to. Absolutely disgusted then we left!!

Whilst waiting to order, at 6pm, the extremely rude manager, Rachel, was walking past and spoke to all 3 of us like dirt for absolutely no reason. Tried to belittle us infront of the whole pub because we had a 2 year old with us, who was stood not even a foot away from us and she very abruptly said 'your child needs to be stood next to you', then proceeded to lie about the 2 year old running around the pub when she was clearly stood half a foot away from us, not moving. She then tried to argue with us in view of the whole pub. We asked to speak to a manager and she said no one was above her, she was in charge so we weren't able to speak to anyone else. After 10 minutes of her talking down to us like we were scum, she then finally said there her manager was in tomorrow. Never ever returning to such a disgusting place.

We are vegan and the choice in the menu is fantastic. The food itself is extremely satisfying and delicious. All this and good beer too! Highly recommended. Picture is of the butternut squash Mac and cheese and the jackfruit burger. Lovely.

Really enjoyed our beer tasting here. Lots of help from the staff and the beer was good. Food was reasonably nice and thought the place had a good vibe, helped by World Cup football being shown. Would highly recommend this place.

Good portions at very decent prices. The wings in Buffalo sauce and blue cheese were tasty and perfectly cooked. Friendly, quick service but it was a quiet Monday lunchtime.

Love love love this pub! If you go here you have to get the loyalty card!! Near the end of the night we managed to get a couple of free drinks due to the money we earned back! Nice little treat on a night out Staff are all really friendly and there was an awesome choice of craft beer and gin (my fav) ... would recommend to anyone! Defo the best pub on Holdenhurst road by faaarrrr!

This place is shocking. I used to go to the Alex in Southend (a sister pub) and it’s a million times better than this place. They don’t know how to look after there ales and lagers. Never had a decent pint! Only focus is on the students. If you want a diabolical drink and half decent food this is the place for you.

I remember the food being quite good, but let's face it- we were there for the drinks! Had a large party, and were VERY well taken care of by the whole team. It isn't often when you get 17 sometimes rowdy pilots together without some kind of issue, but it was all fantastic.

Came here with mates to watch the football , good atmosphere usually busy , great selection and tasting food. Decent student pub for anyone who lives in the halls around Holdenhurst road.

Went for lunch with colleagues as it’s close to our building in town. Menu is good, value for money. And they have pool tables which is great!

Food is decent enough, but the amount of noise in this place has put me off ever returning again. Probably adequate if you're 100% deaf.

Great pub for watching the sport, and good food too. Not too expensive and a good location. We'll definitely be back next year .

First, we tried to order Cappuccino and they declined us without explanation. Moreover, they have a coffee machine and they made coffee after our order. Anyway, smoothies were great! Second, we ordered the salad with chicken and chicken with tomatoes. Chicken was awful in both meals! I don't understand how they can do it so disgusting.

Other reviewers who have said the place is scruffy have been a bit harsh. It's a sports bar with screens and a pool table, and this is what those bars look like! Second visit , decent selection of beers, we had Blue Moon. We had some wings and the Chicken Katsu burger which was very tasty, and came with homemade coleslaw. One snag the chips were cold, but this was sorted by the bar staff within about five minutes ( chap who served us was called George I think, so top marks for him for sorting that!).

This is mainly for students and office workers.The interior is well worn and scruffy but having said that the food was wholesome and good value with plenty of options, which is ideal for its location.

Let's get it straight... It's a town centre pub frequented by students / few office types at lunch and workers in evening, it is was it is... An average pub with sky TV and Pool table, prices reasonable and food quantity great the tray 3 meat feast is near on un finishable so Reccomend that, pubs dirty decor, student staff make for forgettable staff and if you need the toilets then DONT, no locks on doors and the 1 toilet with a seat is wonky so if you sit on it you fall into the wall as very cramped it was purely a meeting place that I won't rush back to but if your in town and hungry and only got wetherspoons money then go for it, atmosphere was amusing as some colourful types

Popped in for an evening and thought we'd eat whilst there. I had 'Tray 2' and my partner had a classic burger with cheese. Mine came out as 'Tray 3' which was nicely surprising but demonstrated a lack of focus by kitchen/serving staff and my partners burger with cheese had no cheese. An obvious error which she noticed after having taken a bite.

Great little pub, just outside the busy bmth main drag. Right next door to the student accommodation, and often full of students, but you aren't made to feel like an outsider if from the older generation, very welcoming and if you are after football, they often have the main games on. Food is very good pub grub, nothing fancy, and drinks very reasonably priced. Staff are always helpful and friendly.

I have been drinking at the inferno for a long time, when someone suggested eating there I was less than enthusiastic but happy to tag along and set my expectations to low.

Large Brewpub near the College so does attract students but still enjoyable. The drinks and food are very cheap. There are sports TV's and pool tables. The staff are very friendly and on the ball.

Reasonably priced food that's good. Comfortable outside seating area at front. The puddings at £2.50ish each were lovely !

Put simply this is a male-envionment sports bar part of the Wetherspoon chain which aslo serve food - pity it's microwaved.Satf appear to be decent and hence at odds with the quality of the food

Visited this bar twice on a stag weekend. Great atmosphere, pool tables as well along with a Sega mega drive and N64 made this a great little bar. Footy was on aswell and reasonable priced drinks.

I have been to Bournemouth twice and I have been to this place every time. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great. They allow dogs too (and get a bowl of water). I'm impressed! Wish you were in London!!!

Second time here so I know it wasn't a fluke. Love the place, looks great throughout, the food is fantastic, the staff are really nice and friendly, the clientele have all been a really cool bunch. Large screen TVs for sport, pool table and even Mario kart on the N64! Brilliant music scene seems to gravitate here, only wish I could come more often!

After spending a year living right across the street I found it hard not to visit inferno every week. The staff and so friendly and chilled and always up for a laugh. Food selection is good and on Thursdays they do cocktails for £3 which is amazing. It's always clean and tidy which must be hard as it's normally really busy and only a few staff working. I'm moving out of the town centre next month and will be gutted. Bring inferno to winton!

Fine place, great service and food... I almost kissed few chicks...but almost...I needed few pounds more for drinks...Life sucks...

Visited on Sunday afternoon and it was a real disaster. Waitress couldn't be bothered to serve us at all. Asked for the food and was told they didn't serve any food. an hour later someone else went to the bar and got served.... We sat behind the bar and asked if we could get a portion of nachos to share and the waitress refused!!! May I just say it was dead at the time! She couldn't be asked to do any work, she was rude and you could tell she wasn't interested to serve customers. the bar was dirty, cutlery and sauces thrown on the floor... terrible! I will never go back

Have been to the Inferno in Bournemouth on a number of occasions. They offer great food at reasonable prices and the beers are great value too. Perfect for a chilled evening

We happened upon The Inferno after discovering the Wetherspoons up the road wasn't serving food. We were very impressed and glad that we ate there instead. My daughter had fish & chips, which were lovely, really crispy batter and my partner and myself had burgers. These were one of the best we've had. Lovely glazed bun, not greasy, great choice not just the common burger options and some nice sauces (possibly homemade?) to choose from. I can imagine this place gets very busy with students during term time and evenings, but catch it at a quieter time and you won't be disappointed!

When for a drink on a Thursday night before a bank holiday so was fairly busy and had a good buzz around the bar this being said there was no problem being served and they had a very good deal of Craft Beers and Cocktails which was even better, didn't eat but the menu looked like it was full with food your expect to find in a pub all good

When following your football team away, you don't want fine dining, you want decent, filling food and lots if it! The Inferno fits the bill....

It's a nice little pub with a decent selection of ales and beers sold at reasonable prices.

We were really hungry and decided to visit at a friend's recommendation. We've all had the inferno burger which was really good. I was a but dissapointed with the coleslaw salad which was a bit sloppy and the funny oily smell of the sweet potato chips.

Came here with friends for the quiz and had a really fun time. The food was alright, just needed to be a bit hotter as the chips served were a bit cold. good choice of drinks and really good prices :)

The service is always really great in this place and the bar staff are always up for banter. The drinks are good and the food is excellent. Can't fault it.

Saw the menu online and liked the look of it. So popped in for lunch. It's was about 12:30 so the place was still quite quiet, so we were served very quickly.

Honestly, I love this place. In go here so often it is ridiculous, the food tastes great, the staff are friendly and I am in love with their breakfast. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, I always get my parents go there when they come to visit and they love it too, honestly, amazing. Has a nice atmosphere in the evenings too, good music and offering live music which is often fun to go and see over a drink.

Very convenient for students in tower blocks across the road, we popped in when collecting son after summer internship. They offer special meal and drink combos that are great value for money with favourites such as pulled pork, burritos, jacket potatoes etc. There's comfort food, sharing food in a fairly loud sports bar/ pop video environment but not too bad even for middle aged old fogeys like us. Good selection of beers, ales & ciders too according to my "boys".
