Disgusting. Worst breakfast ever and £11 wasted. Hard chewy burnt bacon, cold uncooked sausage. Just grateful for the option of continental breakfast.

Booked a table for breakfast online. Arrived at 7am to be told only Continental breakfasts due to staff shortages and this was in operation ALL week. No notification of this online not even an email to let us know before we came. Never again!

I keep trying to call after getting a parking fine when I came in for a business meeting and a drink. I want to get the fine removed. No body told either of us to input number plates. Another review on here said simply call and get in removed but they never answer the phone….

I drove to the Hunsworth on 8th May. My friend was running late and I had to wait for her and so I sat in my car and read a book whilst I waited. When she arrived (on foot) we walked up to the doors only to realise that it was closed. We were confused because it did actually say online that the establishment was open. Anyway we got into my car and went to find somewhere else to eat. Fast forward to yesterday (now 25th May) when I’m back from holiday and I have a fine saying that I have to pay £100!!! I was in the car park 36 minutes waiting for a friend to have a meal at the Hunsworth I am disgusted that I have received a fine! It has put me off ever wanting to return! What an absolute scam!

Place was dirty, run down and in a general shabby state. Outside was grim..parasols filthy and ripped. Garden area by paths awful. Marks on external walls.. It wasn't busy, so no excuse there yet 3 times I witnessed people having incorrect food delivered to them ... Customer service was sadly lacking in correcting said mistakes. Establishment badly needs closing and refurbishing.. This one time favorite venue was frankly appalling.... Food was only 'ok'... Soft drink was serve yourself and very expensive (£3.50 or a diet coke). I appreciate the glass could have been refilled but no alternative was offered or explanation given...

Booked a table for 5 yesterday at The hunsworth ( although there was no need to book as there were only 3 more tables taken) for a family Sunday lunch, what an absolute let down. Myself and husband got the carvery, frozen yorkshires, instant mash, dried up roasts, frozen peas, undercooked cauliflower cheese carrots and parsnips, meat (which were cooked ok) but unfortunately everything was flat cold. My husband was shouted at by the server for LOOKING at a single pig in blanket and told he wasn’t allowed to take it as he hadn’t paid for a king size ( he was ONLY looking what was in the dish as it was partially covered with a lid. My daughter got the vegan burger, dried up and cold. My granddaughter got separate sides of popping chicken, (overcooked), baked potato ( dry, had to ask for some butter) and cucumber and carrot sticks ( carrot not peeled). My SIL got the king carvery, same as above with 2 pigs in blankets. On the plus side, the desserts were very nice but a bit pricey for the portion size. All said, we won’t be going back again. What has happened to you brewers fayre ?? You used to be a decent place to eat 🤔 I am just glad I had a discount code, I would have been asking for a refund otherwise, was certainly not worth the full price

Today we went for breakfast, 2 adults and 3 children, the breakfast was good but we had a women who works there Sarah she is called, went above and beyond for us, very friendly, hard working and gave a great service. Thank you so much.

Our previous visit to the Hunsworth was not the best and lacked massively, with recently finding out its under new management we've been eager to come back, we ordered the nachos to start and mains were a burger and the pie, I can honestly say after our last visit it has improved massively, the food was warm upon arrival and it wasn't burnt, the burger and pie were really good, something I thoroughly enjoyed, we can't wait to come back, the service was quick and friendly, definitely would recommend 😀

considering there was just ONE member of staff on, all went really smoothly. Poor lass was run ragged serving drinks, serving food, seating people and clearing tables! She didn't complain once! What a star! The ambiance was nice, the establishment was clean, the staff (one lass) was extremely attentive and pleasant despite taking complaints about waiting for food/drinks i felt it was very unfair for this young lady to get blamed for the food wait! There was a lot of shouting from a male in the kitchen. his language was very colourful (thats the missing star) and im sure if the big boss was in he certainly would not of spoke that way. When the food came it was wrong and the lovely waitress returned it and we heard the male voice boom again obviously he wasn't happy that my food was wrong, when it came back out it was right and all was well. Come on Hunsworth! sort your chefs attitude out and get that poor girl some more staff im not suprised she was ultra slim she didn't stop! oh and the cocktail my wife had (the original ingredients were out of stock) the young lady asked if we minded if she improvised with the ingredients and wow! it was better than the original. so in future we will ask for it to be made the alternative way! visited with family earlier today, great service and the food was excellent! definitely will be revisiting this spot and highly recommend.

First time visiting, the staff/ landlady were really friendly and made you feel so comfortable was great with our 2 youngest boys. The food was gorgeous didn't disappoint us, the carvery was beautiful too. We even had desserts 😋. Great value for money. We will definitely be returning. Ignore the bad reviews !! Oh dear what a shambles of a place! It’s like Fawlty Towers! We went for lunch on Friday to be met with “have you booked?” I said yes oh well go find a table.. I then went to order a bottle of wine, the “new manager” gave me the bottle but I asked for 2 glasses! She said in a minute!! At this point she shouted over the bar to a couple “have you booked “ they hadn’t so she said well you have to book. Then 2 more lots of people came in & she shouted at them, all while I was waiting for my 2 wine glasses! It was so unprofessional!! I was dreading ordering the food! I politely asked are you short staffed! She said yes all the time! Well I’m not surprised if she is setting the example!! Manager! What an embarrassment! Go elsewhere for your food & drink, you can thank me later!

Shocking that on a Friday night at 9 o’clock you can’t get a drink because they want to close. Staying at premier inn husband fancied a pint but even though there were still people inside he was turned away.

This was a lovely birthday for my Daughter and our friends and family, we had to wait a long time for the food and came in dribs and drabs with some having to eat while others waited for theirs as some meals wasn't hot barley luke warm and some hot. However the service was excellent with our waitress Nicola who went the extra mile she was 10/10. Overall good food and service

Had a great experience this evening. We got there at quite a busy time and while I would say they were under staffed , the three or four staff they had on worked really hard. The food was hot and came in a reasonable time. I’d like to say an extra special thank you to Nic. She went above and beyond to make sure our visit went well. Well done Nic you were fabulous.

I love going to the Hunsworth for brekkie, it's best to get there early as they get super busy with hotel guests and walk-ins. If you'd like their creamy porridge just ask on arrival and the servers will get it for you, the same if you want poached eggs. Brekkie is served buffet style until 11am and you can refill your plate as many times as you'd like, pastries always go quickly and the later on it gets the staff may not have the availability to refill them. I usually grab a diet coke at the, which is refillable you just have to make sure you take your receipt to the bar, as their self serve machine is turned off at breakfast time. One of the things I love here is how the staff take the time to separate the flavours of jams, not every premier-inn breakfast restaurant does, so this is a nice little thing Hunsworth do.

Staying at the hotel, we had the breakfast included. When the waitress asked what we want, it was written down on a specially created pad, so should be easy to read. Our breakfasts arrived with items missing, mine 3 different ones. That evening, has to send back both meals as was not correct. This was sorted for my partner but mine had 2 parts of the burger missing and after asking, was told one was not available. The pub was empty and two other couples sent their meals back. The bar staff we spoke to was apologetic but said that he had had a bad night too!

We've been coming here for the last 10 years but our last few visits have been awful, cold food, rude new manager and nothing seems to be available anymore. Very disappointing, we wont be returning.

Upon Arrival, We noticed the place looked tired and could do with an upgrade. The gentleman at the bar told us to go and find a table as he looked busy. We placed our order and then went to the bar to order. We were told by the bar staff that there were only two of them on shift and seemed more interested in that than taking our order which we found unprofessional. My wife ordered a "Garden Gourmet" hot dog which she found was just two Quorn sausages inside a bun if it had been advertised this way she wouldn't have ordered it. I had the mixed grill which I found to be very nice. My son ordered a smothered chicken burger which was supposed to be chicken goujons but turned out to be chicken breasts. The order was messed up twice before the burger arrived. The buns were cold and the chicken breast looked overdone and it was all put on the same plate as the order that they wrongly brought out. This was our first experience and will be our last

Unfortunately due to a problem with kitchen equipment the food was served once cooked which meant we didn't all eat together. However the staff service was fab. Especially from Donna who was extremely helpful when taking our orders and dealing with the kitchen issue and informing us of the delay. Well done.

Food was ok. Slight smell in restaurant. But the staff could not have been more helpful. Lovely and friendly and helping with local knowledge too.

Enjoyed the evening with friends. Donna is very friendly and also arranged the Easter Raffle which was great 👍 😀. Will be back as food was good. A lovely evening!!!

We stayed in the hotel with our Grandaughter after a visit to Eureka. We popped in at tea time and were met by Jenny with a huge welcoming smile, she was so lovely, couldn't do enough for us, she interacted with our toddler Grandaughter and was so attentive, even though the place was busy. We went back for breakfast and were met again by the lovely Jenny ( Brewers Fayre, give the lass the day off, she works so hard and is so lovely.) We were also served by Myra, who was equally lovely, (Brewers Fayre, give her a day off to though not at same time as Jenny, I think the place would grind to a halt) Both Jenny and Myra were like whirlwind, greeting everyone, taking orders and delivering great food all with a smile and laughter. We've booked to go back to the Premier inn so I'm hoping it's not the same day the bosses have given them off. It will be a pleasure to see them again.

Our "2nd" home, we have eaten here a few times in the past and have had differing experiences. Not no more !!! Fantastic new staff which really warrants a visit to this restaurant. We are here for 3 nights and so far had a mixed grill and steak dinners, the quality has gone up leaps and bounds. Currently here for tge sunday carvery, to be honest, due to past experiences we have opted for the other pub up the road which we have to drive to... but no more ! Just take a look at the photo's for confirmation. Meat is excellently cooked and served in plentiful portions. The serving staff friendly and less stressed which make for an enjoyable experience. Many thanks to Kurt, Spencer, Mel and the team for excellent hosting.

An excellent, good quality, inexpensive, all you can eat breakfast. The staff, Nic and Abbey could not be more helpful and welcoming. The hotel is right by the M62 and there is ample parking.
