The Hungry Diner in Southampton

Mejor taza de capuchino. El café es muy cremoso. Tienen un menú sencillo con muchas opciones para todos. Tuve el desayuno vegetariano. Valor por su dinero.

Si está buscando un buen desayuno clásico de estilo inglés, este es el lugar para ir. Buena comida decente por un muy buen precio. El amable personal con un aspecto retro, volverá de nuevo.

Since my previous review I have been visiting here quite often and really glad to see its getting busier they deserve a good trade, Good basic british food, and drinks. Very reasonably priced. If you want a decent mug of tea and old fashioned British Sausage, Egg and Chips you will be hard pressed to find anywhere local that can beat the food and prices of Hungry Diner

Un café a menudo ocupado en la calle principal en Shirley. Cafetería limpia y ordenada, lugar higiénico. Menú básico de buena comida británica, como salchichas, huevo y papas fritas, etc. Ofrezca tazas y tazas de café o té. El amable personal, que le da una cálida bienvenida. Servicio rápido, comida de gran sabor.

No vivo en Southampton y una visita de regreso a la milla de los mutantes es siempre una revelación. Una vez que me acerqué al comedor Hungry, los mutantes habituales de Estados Unidos estaban sentados afuera, con un ojo entre ellos, seis dedos en cada mano y 50 cigarrillos siendo humo entre los dedos. Me senté para ser abordado por una señora encantadora que siempre cocina las tortillas de queso. Ahora bien, este café es perfecto, una cuchara realmente grasosa y la ensalada de col es increíble. Puede obtener una taza decente (recuerde comprobar las marcas de los labios, si las encuentra simplemente límpielas y continúe) la salsa de tomate se diluye en salsa rosada con vinagre, pero si le gusta una delicia chavvy entonces este es el lugar . Si todavía permitieran fumar, este sería el lugar donde el personal tendría fags masivos cayendo en sus alimentos. Pero está limpio y la comida es genial. Solo mire más allá de los mutantes afuera, si se acercan a usted actúen de manera extraña (no tome su bolsa reutilizable de Waitrose en cualquier lugar cerca de ellos, aunque lo harán vibrar) ¿Volveré? Por supuesto, solo para la tortilla y la apreciación de mirar hacia atrás:)

Today I visited here for a coffee and Pepsi all good... But the place was Grubby and dirty ...Basic Menu as for the chilli con carne it should be home made surely Not bottom of the range tinned Value tinned. Yuck .. There could be room for Improvement. The staff members where lovely

Visited today and had the hungry diner omelette with chips salad and lovely creamy coleslaw. Really nice hot coffee. Lots of locals visit as it's so popular and value for money. Recommend don't eat breakfast before you visit as there's so much.

We had a lovely breakfast here when we stayed in Southampton earlier in the year and we would definitely recommend this place for a great breakfast

If you want a no frills diner where all the food is cooked fresh at reasonable prices then look no further. Service is excellent with my drinks arriving within minutes of placing the order. The omelettes are to die for freshly cooked with almost any filling you want. Good food, great service, reasonable price what more could you ask for, I will be eating breakfast and lunch here again.

Omelette and chips yum. The prices haven't changed in years and it serves honest cheap grub. The sausages I would avoid so have an omelette instead

3 sat down for meals . Jacket potato, fish cake and chips etc, small breakfast plus hot drinks. All very good, drinks came in seconds all speedy service we all said how good each dish was, chips outstanding. Plain dining area nothing special but all very clean and tidy . Well done good prices as well

I've had breakfast here on many occasions and it's always the same, bacon, egg and chips. It's always cooked the same and the chips are the best chips in Shirley. I've tried the other greasy spoons in Shirley High St and The Hungry Diner wins me over with its chips. Yes, it's a greasy spoon but its clean and it does what greasy spoons do. The girls are always nice and pleasant and they seem to be eager to please. I'll be back for my bacon, egg and chips with a smile sooner than you think.

The food is cheap and of poor quality. But what do you expect from a greasy spoon. The staff seemed amicable and provide a good service. Real shame is that you have to pay for a drink, breakfast should come with a cup of tea or coffee especially as when you do buy it is instant coffee and not a good quality one. The restaurant was clean and service was quick and easy .

Nice place to go and have breakfast or lunch and very good value for money. Nice selection on menu. staff are really nice and helpful

I visited this restuarant today and ordered ham, egg and chips. Should have been a safe choice I thought. Wrong! What seemed to be the cheapest processed ham, cut wafer thin, half an egg and a few chips made up the meal. Oh and the tea bag made a very weak pot of tea. Really poor, fortunately there are other restuarants nearby for future use.

m 39 weeks pregnant and its noticeable. The "lovely" staff of the hungry dinner point blank refuse to let me use their Loo as I wasn't a customer!! Your actions speak volume and your attitude towards vulnerable adults disgusting, proper mutant attitude no humanity. Luckily the cafe next door let me use their loo saving me the embarrassment of having to pee myself.
