The HUB Cafe in Horsham

Situated just off the high street, this community cafe attached to the church (only open Mon-Fri in the mornings), has a wonderful bunch of friendly volunteers, serving a simple selection of drinks and lite bites at very good prices all served with a smile. The hall is lovely light and airy, seats outside too if the weather is good enough.

The Hub is a volunteer-run cafe aimed at being a drop in coffee centre for local people who might want a chat, particularly if they are on their own, or to just have reasonably priced coffee/tea and cake in a peaceful space. It is located in the Baptist church, which doubles as a community space and has an area for young children too, so that Mum's struggling with prams and babies can relax with a coffee. The volunteers will often sit and chat with you and all have interesting life stories of their own. For some, volunteering in the cafe itself has transformed their lives after painful bereavements that left them seeking company and new ventures. I drop in for coffee with an elderly friend quite regularly and always enjoy good coffee and a relaxing space.

I'm sorry this review is short and sweet , we walked in and then walked right out as there was a strong smell of stale urine . It's a shame as would be nice to have a local cafe to use but we ended up going to the pub instead.

An oasis of warmth and friendship and really great coffee. The reception is welcoming and great value for money.
