Came with the family to watch the footie and ordered the nachos! They came with just cheese, no salsa or sour cream or jalapeños! When asked we were bought a small pot of salsa on the side, we asked for jalapeños and 5 were plonked on top! They were actually a joke, why bother advertising and providing such a simple dish when you can’t even be bothered to get it right first time, a plate of shop bought cheap nachos and a sprinkle of cheese wasn’t exactly what we were expecting, the burger was as awful as the attitude from the lady who served us!! maybe that’s why the pub is always half empty! We won’t return

Lunchtime visit with friend after shopping at the local retail? park. Menu looked fine, food prices reasonable..as were drinks!. Opted for pukka pies from the small oven on show & requested sides of chips. Order came to around £9 which was a cheap pub meal for 2 people!!. Lady who served us was pleasant, toilets freezing cold but clean....guys playing pool, tv on...what more can I say except for that famous Love Island phrase ‘It is what it is’

Came to the pub for a gig with friends. Issue #1 - no parking. Plus, there's very little parking in the vicinity and we were warned that the parking attendants were pretty ruthless and unforgiving. Issue #2 - the pub is a proper 'local', but unfortunately, lay-out isn't conducive to a gig with lots of fans. Issue #3 - due to poor lay-out, there's nowhere to sit, which made standing for 3-4 hours uncomfortable. However, the staff were some of the friendliest and fun we've ever had the pleasure of being served by! Couldn't thank them enough for helping make the night a great one! Their employer should be incredibly proud of them, with a massive pat on the back for employing a great group of staff.

Visited this lunchtime with my husband – ordered a burger for him and chicken Caesar salad for myself. My husband made a few alterations to the set burger which was not a problem. Swift, polite service and food was outstanding. Generous portions and a real ‘made from scratch’ feel about both dishes which is quite rare these days. Thank you – we will be back 😊

We visited on a quiet Saturday night; there were a few blokes enjoying themselves playing on the pool tables. Saturday night entertainments for future weeks were advertised, but this was a non-entertainment night. The barmaid was welcoming and friendly; a typical selection of beers were available, and a large TV was tuned into the football.

Went with a group of friends, about 10 of us. We are not regulars, but were made to feel really welcome. Plenty of pool tables, football on the TV and really felt cosy. Good to get in from the cold. Will be back.

A lovely pub with well kept beer, friendly staff, excellent food and a large menu to choose from, and pool tables! What's not to like?

I've always found it a nice friendly pub that I usually try if I'm coming from the greyhound stadium after a nights racing. It's a real bonus ( for me) if there's some live music on as the bands are often rather good. Lots of TVs with sport on and there's a 2-3 of pool tables.

This pub couldn't be in a more unpromising location - busy, noisy intersection of two major routes; just up the road from two retail parks. You'd be forgiven for passing it by but you'd be missing out. Inside it's warm and surprisingly quiet. There are snooker/pool tables - not sure which; possibly both, and two big screens for football. Around the edge are cosy little nooks for dining. There's also a garden with tables which again, given the location, is surprisingly quiet. The owners are very welcoming. The food is good and excellent value. And I had a reasonably priced glass of one of the best red wines I've had outside of Italy. Definitely going back. May try to tempt husband to watch the football on a big screen on the promise of what I've heard is a very good Sunday roast.

Walking through Kemptown we stumbled across this place. Is very small but has a much needed and appreciated outside area. The barman was lovely & sitting there watching the world walk by in the sun enjoying cold alcoholic beverages was gorgeous.

Went into Small Batch, Hove Station at 4.20 pm yesterday. I ordered a coffee as a dine-in customer. Was told that I would have to use a take away cup as they would be closing soon. I left but not before telling the cashier that I would have drunk my coffee within 10 minutes. Small Batch website indicates that they close at 5.00 pm. BTW there were no other customers. Anyway, I went down the road and gave another coffee shop my business.

Unfortunately, even though there were many things right I'll be avoiding this place. The service was impeccable, good beer, perfect lighting and lovely music. So what was wrong? A coven of aggressive women believing they ran the place because they'd booked a table. At their request the music, that I'd been enjoying, was turned off so they could conduct their meeting whilst sipping peppermint tea. I'd suggest a pub isn't an ideal place for this sort of thing. Especially if you're hell-bent on spoiling the atmosphere for everyone else. Sadly, they're regulars.

We visited Brighton for my Sister’s 40th and decided to come here for the afternoon tea. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating and the food was quirky and delicious! We even moved to the bar for a few cocktails after. Would recommend - thank you
