Visited here yesterday as we have done many times previously and i was on my VERY SMALL electric scooter (ES). It was quite busy but not full as it is fairly small inside. Myself and my scooter took up the same amount of sitting on the chair as i was situated so i didn't need to use their chair and if on a large bike this would not have been possible. However a young girl asked if i could leave my ES outside and walk in which i could not as not able to do so. I replied we have been in there previously and had never been an issue but she said the couldn't allow it when they were busy. I would not have gone in if i was going to cause an issue or restrict any of the pathways and so i felt i had to leave, which we did. However there was 3 tables occupied by approx 12 men who were blocking pathways and not eating anything and were loudly talking to each other across the tables who were who were quite clearly obstructive but seemingly that was ok !!! I am disgusted in this day and age that such discrimination persists and i will not use them again. Perhaps they need to add a sign to the windows stating people with mobility aids would not be allowed in busy periods. Totally Disgusted. LInda Halls

It's not fresh roast anymore. No smell of roast meat as you walk in, it's more a standard cafe. Only one hot roast on offer now which is beef, again no roast meat smells so I was worried. It came as a standard supermarket bap with the sliced wafer beef you get in a supermarket packet with a bit of gravy on top. Such a shame! I loved it before and now won't bother.

Simple review. Place is clean and tidy, staff friendly and attentive. Dog friendly (outside). Full breakfast was great value and all cooked Brill. Can't fault anything.

Been a few times and loved it It’s clean neat and tidy the staff were very polite and friendly we have had breakfast lunch and drinks and they have all been very good and you get lots

The staff are so helpful and we love their breakfasts, Coffee & Tea really good. We have been coming regularly for a few months, the staff are really helpful to customers who have mobility or any kind of health issues, opening doors etc. We will continue to support them as it’s important especially in winter. We have been to other establishments which are more expensive and they don’t compare to the Hot Roast. It’s only a small establishment but is nearly always full. Thankyou

visited here yesterday 09/12/22 was served quickly by lady on the till and went for the all day breakfast food was very good and came quite quickly but alas came on a cold plate however not much of a problem as the portions were very small tablespoon of beans and one piece of tinned tomatoes so at £5.50 i think the cup of tea i had should have been included the tea was £2.00

Visited here for lunch. Two of us had an all day breakfast, one had soup and myself a jacket potato with prawns. We had to wait a little while but the food was freshly cooked and everyone enjoyed what they had

staff are on the ball, they need bigger premises as the food is great, not your usual chips or fast food.

Didn’t catch the blonde girls name who was on the till but she was rude and I definitely wouldn’t have her working for me service with a smile was missing queued for 20 minutes for a hot roast sandwich (even though there’s only beef) not exactly a hot roast place with only one meat and was told they wasn’t doing take away that day even though there was piles of takeaway trays above the cooking stations quite disappointed as with a young child the wife was keeping occupied for 20 minutes had to queue else where but I would recommend kurks just a bit further on brilliant butchers and the white horse formerly the 12 whores really nice pizza and general pub grub

Ordered two breakfasts. Firstly a standard, and then their larger. Food was perfect, service was outstanding. Nothing whatsoever to complain about, thoroughly enjoyed it all and amazing value. Well done and thank you.

We decided to try this place for breakfast what a mistake only ordered coffees and bacon rolls it was the most dry tasting roll you could ever eat and the coffees where disgusting do not be waste your money going to this place try somewhere else

Tables weren't socially distanced enough but as we sat outside we felt safe enough. Had a great hot chocolate (and I'm very fussy on these!) and oh said the coffee tasted quality. Set right in the centre of the busy bustle of the shops but glass screens all around. Good to see staff cleaning tables and arms of seats after visitors left. Didn't eat here but defo would recommend for a hot drink and a chill out.

We called in here again yesterday afternoon. It was nice to see a young Girl giving all the tables a good clean as people left . The staff are lovely and polite. The main thing been the food which is very good, the side salad is so fresh not the stuff tipped out of a bag which most pubs seem to do these days. We both went for the paninis which were quite big and really nice. Well worth a visit if you fancy a lovely cafe.

Love this place been coming for years. lovely staff, Prices however are starting to get silly and a coffee Latte @ £2.40 😩 gone up another 10p in such a short space of time. Surely this is bad business sense ? keep the prices reasonable , keep the quality of food and drink up to scratch and therefore keep your customers . You can get a quality milky coffee down the high street for £1.30

Good for a quick pit stop if in Skegness…normally call here for the Breakfast Special for £2:99 which is good value. Good selection of cakes 👍

We had sandiches with salad & chips. Well presented & very tasty. Good service although very busy. Pleasant staff who only wanted to please! Sat in the outside dining area & watched the world go by. Some customers smoked & I found that disrespectful to diners. However that did not spoil a good experience.Will return again when in town.

Called in for snacks and a drink. The staff were friendly. We only had scones so cannot comment on meals but the scones were fresh and tasty. What more can I say except that we would call in again if in Skeggy.

Went to order a roast as it's called The Hot Roast Company, but it wasn't available as they'd sold out. So ordered steak pie and chips with peas.

We visited this cafe 3 times during a 3 night stay in Skegness this week. On the first day we had lunch. I ordered the roast beef dinner and my husband asked for the half chicken roast dinner. When the food arrived we were given two roast beef dinners and not one beef one chicken as ordered. The cafe was overly busy so my husband decided not to complain as he didn't mind the beef.

call in here every time we are in Skegness the food is average priced for a plateful of homemade food. the pulled pork Panini is huge enough for two to share (I don't) I like my coffee very strong and the lady remembers this every time I go very busy little café says it all seating outside if you have a dog and they serve your order to the table stamp reward card is available you should seriously give this place a try

Came in with my girlfriend as we were looking for a place to get breakfast. We had a bacon bagguette and bacon roll, the food was as expected, bacon and bread, can't really ask for much more. The stand out point was the service, it was with a smile and very pleasent, were made to feel welcome.

There are many places to eat in Skegness but none of them come close to the standard of this establishment. Each holiday we have we generally make a couple of visits, but last week we called every single day. This is not only due to the excellent friendly customer service we receive, or the offers they have on cakes and drinks, or the relaxing atmosphere of listening to old classics from the 60's but the high quality of the home-made food served up is simply stunning. We don't even bother to look to eat anywhere else anymore. Huge thank you to all the team and I'm already looking forward to coming again next year

Disappointed to find that the Cafe didn't have a toilet for customer use. So if you want to wash your hands or do something else there were no facilities. When asked why my wife was told it was because it was an historic building. Where do the staff do their ablutions?? She was then advised to use the toilet at the nearby Burger King or use the public toilets in the car park at the back of Hildreds which turned out to be closed for renovation.

We just popped in for a quick bite for lunch and it was very enjoyable. The reason I gave it four stars was it was a little bit cramped inside but no complaints about either the food or staff who were polite and helpful. Would recommend for snacks or meals.

We came in for something to eat 2nd October and the blonde lady took our order for 2 braised beef dinners and lifted the special board up on side of till with it on & told me the price which then I said I would like 2 cappuccinos as well please. The food came out which was 2 sliver side beef dinners!!!! Not what we ordered so went back to till were the blonde lady said well I never heard you say that you wanted braised beef & then moaned at a other lady behind her which then said well I will have to throw that away now!!! We ended up keeping them but I had to bring my beef home with me because I can not chew meat that is why we ordered braised beef so it would fall apart with a fork!!! Another young lady with brown hair came out & offered us 2 free cappuccinos as a apology. The blonde lady should have apologised to us!! We love coming in when we both have a day off together but she as defo put us off coming back. She was very rude & definitely not serving customers on till that is for sure !!!

Reasonable food for price paid but enjoyment spilt by several smokers seated at several tables in the screened outside eating area. No matter how good cigarettes smoke does not add to the meal. A shame as as staff and food good value.

We called at the Hog Roast in Skegness had their special breakfast which is available upto 11.30 daily Bacon sausage beans tomatoes and an egg plus toast and a regular drink of tea or coffee. Price as of today £3..99p.

After reading good reviews We decided to eat breakfast here. After ordering a coffee with soya, sorry no soya, I ate a crumpet with jam. Not toasted properly. My husband had a bacon sandwich. He asked me to order a sausage one but after seeing the girl picking up the sausages with her fingers and using tongs for the bacon, you can see why I did this. He said it was full of fat. Shame. Hopefully we just turned up on a bad time.

Great place to go for breakfast, sometimes it can be very busy so outside seating may be your only option, which is not so good in bad weather. But food is excellent.

Called in for a meal and what a disappointment.we ordered the pork sandwich which was not good.The problem was the staff who were shouting and swearing at each other and even shouting over to other people in the restaurant that they smeed to know.It was very unprofessional and a very unpleasant experience will never return.The staff should be ashamed of themselves.

Came for a family visit this morning and ordered a breakfast. I don't drink hot drinks so asked if I could pay the difference for a can of pop. £1.50 for a can of pop!!! Say no more!! Will not be visiting again!!!

We wanted a sandwich for lunch, not just a takeaway, a sit down and a coffee. We stumbled across this place, which was very busy. Always a good sign. There were three people serving at the counter, but unfortunately only one till which slowed everything down. When the food came it was very well presented. The inside and outside were both very clean. The waitress constantly cleared and wiped the tables.

As wondering around Skegness we fancied a coffee, when passing by we noticed was very busy so decided to pop in. After taking a seat I went in to place my order. After sitting back down I realised they where milky coffees and not coffees with milk which are fine for 3 of us but the 4th person can't have a lot of milk as lactose intolerant. I approached a member of staff (an older lady with purple hair) and asked if their was any chance of replacing 1 of the coffees. She was very abrupt and said you ordered them so nothing she could do. I normally use the coffee owl and will be returning their as the attitude from this lady was discussing, how your business is as busy as it is with her attitude I will never no. Coffee was lovely 8/10 service...2/10. Hope this isn't taken as a bad review but as a training tool to help your business stay busy.

I ordered ham egg and chips. This consisted of 2 eggs, 2 thick slices of ham and chips. All were cooked and presented really well. The staff were friendly and attentive. A little pricey, however I will be visiting here again.

On holiday in Lincolnshire we visited skegness for the day. We decided to have our lunch at The Hot Roast. We chose to sit outside as it was a sunny day. My husband decided on the cottage pie and I chose the lasagne, at two meals for £12 I thought it sounded good value. We had quite a long wait as the restaraunt was very busy but when our meal came it was worth the wait. I would have lunch here again!!

Popped in on way back from the town. Sat outside with children drinking coke watching the world go by. Entertainment next door with an Elvis impersonator!

We ordered a jacket potato with tuna and onion and chilli. The jacket potato was massive and I mean massive. Lovely salad served with it and plenty to eat. While sat waiting for our lunch we looked at other freshly made meals coming out of the kitchen and they all looked lovely and excellent value.

Recently visited here for Breakfast with the family. It is very well situated in the middle of the High Street. Food was nice sausages were best part. Only criticism I have is the tables are low I am 6”2 and table was to low for me but that is me being picky. Nice place to eat bit pricey but nothing major.

Got to say it was a on a whim that we decided to eat here.And what a surprise the food was fantastic roast dinners, curry and children's meals they were beautiful, the waitress was fantastic she stopped what she was doing to chat to my little boy and even helped him clean his hands.We wasn't allowed to leave in till he had found her to say good bye Can't recommend this place enough will definitely be returning

Though the menu is relatively small, it must allow them to concentrate thoroughly on the food that is cooked because believe me, when it's served on your plate, you literally could not have had it cooked more perfect. After a week in Skegness we used this cafe as visitors to the area. The children's box turned up with half a sandwich i.e. One slice of bread crisps drink and biscuit for £3.50!!! My little boy is weaning so I asked my sister to see if she could get him a fruit bag from somewhere. She popped out and came back and said oh I got this from the shop next door (we didn't know the businesses were linked). At which point the waitress came over told us off like school kids and said we should have ordered it from the counter!! Errrr where does it say fresh fruit pot on your menu?? It doesn't!!! Bearing in mind he ate half a strawberry a grape and 2 blueberrys it wasn't exactly a meal! If we knew they served fruit we would have ordered it with the rest of the food. As we sat there one waitress was particularly rude clearing tables and serving she pushed past the waiting queue never once saying excuse me PLEASE. In a job where customer service is key they just don't have it. I certainly won't be returning there is enough choice without this.

I very rarely leave a bad review on anything but this place was awful.I came with my mother and they said you cant bring mobility scooters in after she drove it inside. They saw us struggling to get in but told us after we brought it, it wasn't aloud. Anyway, while sitting down there was food and dirt all over the floor. It just had a grubby feel to the place. It's a shame as it looked nice from the outside.Some of the tables are too close together and felt like the people on the next table we along the sat with us.I had a hot chocolate that tasted like chocolate water. Like a sachet mix from the supermarket.Unfortunately we won't be visiting again.

I don't normally drink coffee but theirs is one I can't resist, wonderful and helpful staff, meals are also very good value especially the breakfast specials

I visited today with my wife, Father in law and my youngest son for breakfast and all the Food and drinks were perfectly prepared and the staff were charming as always. We are regular visitors to this fantastic eatery and in our opinion it can't be beaten for price and quality in Skegness. What caught our attention today though, was a woman breastfeeding her baby in the cafe and we thought it was wonderful how the staff and customers were understanding and kind to the lady in question because breastfeeding is perfectly natural and should be allowed to be done anywhere. A massive praise to the Hot Roast Company, staff and customers at the time regarding this subject and for being so kind towards the young lady who was breast feeding her baby! :-)

I live local to Skegness and visit this cafe often with friends, nice coffee and the food is always good. there isn't any toilets and the closest toilets are the other end of the Hildreds shopping centre.

What can I say looking for a place to get breakfast on a cold & wet moring.Spot the hot roast and suggested popping in to my ex-partner and little boy. Apon entering the building found a very nice recently decorated place while a bit on the small side they do offer outside setting which I imagine would be lovely in summer. Sitting down and looked over the menu I decided on a big full English and a coffee for myself and the ex going for the smaller full English and a deluxe hot chocolate. While ordering a toaster tea cake for my little one.Went up to the counter to place are order to be meet by a very lovely member of staff and helpful Sitting back down it was not long before getting are food. The quality and size of the plates and food can not be faulted for the price In all would happily go back again

Called in for lunch whilst xmas shopping and had ordered food before we really looked around. The carpet is absolutely filthy. It is covered in food stains and completely threadbare in places. The place should be closed down immediately and not reopened until the carpet has been replaced. If the public area is in this state I dread to think what the kitchens are like. Food is overpriced and poor quality. Machine coffee was ok.

Stopped for tea and cake. The coffee and tea were ok but the Victoria sandwich cake was given to us in a box, with no plates or fork? We told the assistant that we were sitting outside????The cake was very crumbly but tasted nice.

The Hot Roat Company do amazing food it is all hot and fresh and the service is good too. We always sit outside and watch the Skegness shoppers go by, the seating is under cover so fine if there is a shower. It is not a quiet place to eat as there are,more often than not, activities going on in the predestrian square but I enjoy this and am quite happy to watch. The Roast roll is a good size but if you are really hungry the baguette is huge and you can have this with chips more than enough to last you till tea time. They do other meals ,snacks and drinks if you don't want a full meal. Well worth a try and very good value
