Went to order food. Food never arrived but others orders were coming out quick. Waited half an hour. It was food I'd ordered for baby and unfortunately had to leave because the wait was too long. Walked out quite distressed with a hungry baby.

Excellent breakfast could do with being a bit hotter

Cannot complain for the value it's great grub.

Fantastic value and great quality J.D.Wetherspoons pub. No loud music to spoil the chatter. Great choice of real ales (5 on at the time of review). Always worth a visit. During Beer Festivals the choice of real ale can increase to up to 8 real ales being available. Drinks (and food) can be ordered directly from your tablet using the Wetherspoons App.

We always come in for quiz night on a Wednesday night and they are always very short staffed! Long waits for food and drinks and the tables, which should be reserved for the quiz, are always full even though there are signs on them!!

The poor staff were run off they're feet. Who ever is doing the rota needs to work on a Wednesday night to see how busy it is. We were in for the quiz, the area useful for the quiz needs cordoning off at a reasonable time. It's disgusting how the staff are run off they're feet.

Stopped in here for a drink while waiting for my daughter was what I expected from a witherspoons

I've been to cleaner wetherspoons, although the toilets were pretty clean. Got a drink order wrong and the coffee machine was on the fritz, but wouldn't stop me from going back. Had a nice local feel and felt welcomed by the other customers and staff.

Service at bar could b betta.But why do they let people vape inside pub big dissappointment needs stopping supposed to vape outside.Staff needs to crack down on it.Food is hit n miss sometimes cold.

There are places to eat and toilet facilities and you can hire bikes etc.

We have breakfast here at least once a week usually weekends. It's great value the staff are friendly and the food good.

A pleasant relaxed atmosphere with good cheap food & even cheaper drinks.

Have to give 4 stars due to gluten free lager which is not easily available in Wombwell, good service and certainly decent prices.

Like anywhere the service can be a little slower when it gets busier but we always enjoy getting lunch/dinner here, the staff are always friendly and the foods good, can’t really complain 😊

First time visit as we decided to get our tea here...busy, large and roomy spoonz. Served quickly after ordering on the app by friendly courteous staff....would happily eat here again and loved my Ramen noodle bowl...very tasty!

The breakfast food tasted normal, but the cup of hot chocolate was too bland and lacked chocolate flavor. I only took two sips before giving up and switching to Mocha.

What a lovely experience we had in this pub following our walk in the area. Fantastic atmosphere, lovely helpful staff and the food was hot and delicious, particularly the chips. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area. We shared panini and chips with Mediterranean salad and my son had gammon and chips. No complaints from any of us

Nice burger chips & pint , cheap enuf. Thou you don't get a lot, saying that for the price was ok.

This is our local ws and we go for food once a week, as a couple in the times we are in we found this is an affordable place to go and spend some time. The staff are lovely. One of the best we ever been in

The usual Wetherspoons value for money. Ordered on the app, my drink arrived in less than a minute, food shortly after.

We have been away from home on a working trip and eaten out all week. I’ve eaten in Wetherspoons many times nearer home, but this was exceptionally good. We all know it’s a pretty standard menu, but the food is always well cooked and efficiently served. This pub had a great atmosphere and we all agreed that it was probably the best meal we’ve had all week! I was surprised myself! Well done Horseshoe staff xx

Didn't order food, however the bar staff work quite slowly and often gossip amongst themselves and regulars causing a slow service. The atmosphere was generally as you expect from a wetherspoons.

Had a great evening here with a bite to eat and a few pitchers of cocktails. Staff were friendly the tables and toilets were clean

You get what you expect. Food is very bland but cheap

Could've done with more Chipotle mayo, there wasn't enough to dip 5 chicken strips in.

Went for breakfast this morning unfortunately it was the most disappointing breakfast I've ever eaten food was tepid at best bacon was over cooked and dry only thing worth eating was the toast

They wouldn't let us in because we aren't "regulars" and it was 11:55pm but they only close at 1am. We weren't drunk or causing trouble and just wanted a quiet drink and book a taxi. We will be complaining to headquarters 😡

Staff are idiots and can't look you in the eye when they are blatantly wrong,can't count and try charge for stuff already paid for. Only in wombwell. Staff member that is atrocious is Kelly Town no idea how she has job if she's the manager place needs re shuffling.

Pleasant Wetherspoons pub in the heart of Wombwell. Usual Wetherspoon menu and usual array of drinks. Quite spacious inside . Staff were friendly and helpful

Food wasn't very good, my mixed grill was ok ,but my friend micks obviously microwaved steak and kidney pudding and flat mash and peas was terrible, he was starving and ate it ,personally I would have sent it back ,I had to ask for egg which should have been on my plate and the mushroom was no bigger than a 50 pence piece

Food is always hot here compared to the one in town! Very clean! Prefer to come through here than eat in Joseph Brammers!

Good Weatherspoons value. App works well except can't cope with meals with a free tea. Charges for the tea.

Solid Wetherspoons Experience. They run more events than most and we'll managed.

£6.44 for a meal and a drink. Southern fried chicken with mayo in a bun and chips. Unbeatable price.

Absolutely disappointed in my sevice and food an the bar manager kada was very disrespectful towards me and my family she spoke to me like I was a piece of dust on her shoe I will no be coming back......

Usually my favourite breakfast place. Disappointed this morning with my breakfast. Food was cold, bacon was dry, only thing hot was my grilled tomato.

Called in here for a quick bite on a Tuesday evening. It was very quiet so easy to get a table. The service was good and the food also good for a Wetherspoons.

It is the greatest pub in Yorkshire.

It does seem that this is more of a drinkers Weatherspoons and the decor is really rather tired liking too. The staff, however, were helpful and efficient and the dining area was clean and tidy. Weatherspoons is great for our 8 year old daughter as she is a fussy eater and the chicken bites are her safe go-to favourite. Unfortunately, upon attempting to order our three small plates and children’s meal via the app, we found that chicken bites were unavailable for the second successive visit. This may seem like a minor inconvenience but disrupted our entire evening as our daughter struggled to find an alternative she liked - finally selecting the sausages that she didn’t eat. Given the fact that these must be a frozen item and a staple on the kids menu - keep them in stock. It can make or break a family’s evening as those with kids may well testify!

Sat in beer garden with a drink was told not allowed with dog (who was sat asleep under table) and told to sit in an active carpark! I could u understand if it was busy or the dog was misbehaving but a quiet weekday to advise to sit in a carpark! Accident waiting to happen very disappointed never going back !

A welcoming, busy, spacious pub. Cracking prices £2.49 for a pint of guiness and £1.49 for a coffee with free refills, you can't grumble at these prices. The food menu looked good value too, typical wetherspoons pub grub. The lady who served us was friendly and chatty. Toilets are down stairs and there is a beer garden although we didn't sit outside it looked nice. We parked in a free car park across the road. We will visit again.

The team were amazing. I took my dairy free relative and asked for a dairy free pizza. The guy assured me that it would be prepared in a separate part of the kitchen. This was really nice to hear. Very welcoming team.

Called in last Sunday morning (12th March) for breakfast. Well impressed very clean and bright. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Had a breakfast which was delivered in no time, hot and was just the ticket. Many thanks.

We like Wetherspoons as the food is the same good standard everywhere. Called here for Saturday lunch, it was very busy but the assistant did say she would clear the table for us, which took a while and the table wasn't wiped. We placed our order on the app and our food came quite quickly considering how busy it was. Part of our order was brought but there was not enough cutlery for 4 of us so we mentioned it but when my order arrived it came with just a fork so rather than wait again my husband and I shared a knife. Not the best experience I have had in this place, but ok considering.
