On my way home from a business meeting, I found this little gem originally on Gogle Maps. Photos looked good and rating was inviting. Parking is poor but it looks like we can park on the side of the road, which I did. I got the salads with halloumi, and I enjoyed everything on my plate. Ordered some cakes to take back home which lasted a couple of days in the fridge and were scrumptious!

Blooming brilliant! Wanted somewhere for late breakfast en route from Bath to Dorset. Searched google maps n this fitted the bill. Great venue, nice welcome, awesome fodder. We had veggie delight breakfast; the home made seed and cranberry toast exceptional, and the rest of the meal best we’ve had in any cafe. Thanks folks!

Having recently moved to the area I have now found my new favourite coffee spot. This is such a beautiful place, tucked away with lovely sofa spaces and lovely garden to chose from and as a bonus, doggy friendly. I just wanted to take the opportunity to make a point about the disappointing service. We arrived on time and we were sat our table which was chosen for us as we'd pre-booked. Handed menus, but then had to wait nearly 10 minutes before our coffees and food order were taken. The place wasn't busy, there were at least 2 staff. We could hear them talking in the kitchen. It seemed completely unnecessary that we had to wait. I noticed we weren't the only table left waiting. Poor show.

Oh my goodness - what a fantastic find. Today we happened across this cafe - Wow. First thing that impressed was the hard working, helpful and friendly staff. On entering, Every table was full (having tasted the salad, burgers, cakes we are not surprised) but Debbie did her utmost to not disappoint us by turning us away and within a couple of minutes had us seated comfortably with menus in hand and drinks ordered. Service throughout our meal was super, friendly, efficient. The salads /savoury plates were the best we have had for years. The coffee was delicious and the cake selection was interesting and different. Thank you - we will be back very soon

We have been here for coffee and it's lovely in the summer, but lunch was disappointing. Lunch out is a real treat and this wasn't. Soggy, flavourless potato wedges (no herby flavour as on menu) and dull burger, plus too much mayonnaise on the coleslaw, so nothing was fresh or tasty. We left without ordering a coffee and cake, it was all so bland and made one of us feel a bit nauseous. Shame, as we'd love to leave a good review of a nice local cafe. Standards are high nowadays and it's right to expect fresh tasty food cooked by someone skilled who cares. Have they gone downhill??

My friend and I booked a table for brunch today . We ordered coffee once we were seated and after a few minutes ordered our brunch .After 40 minutes we ordered another coffee and asked about our food ,we were told it would not be long. We waited an hour and 10 minutes for it to arrive .When we asked the waitress why others had been served before us (about 3 tables ) we were told it was because our order was a complicated order .....We both had ordered eggy bread ! ? I must admit it tasted lovely and well presented . We were given a free coffee but such a shame we had to rush our breakfast as it took so long to arrive .

Sadly today service was slower than ever, despite the cafe being pretty empty we waited well over an hour for a very simple dish. I’m guessing the iPad system isn’t fool proof, but even when we asked after half an hour of waiting it didn’t seem to jog anyone into action. I know slow service is a common complaint here, such a shame as the food is good when it arrives.

My family and I were champing at a nearby church for a few days and decided that before a full days sight seeing we needed a decent breakfast in our bellies!! One Facebook messenger session later and we were all booked in for the following morning. On arrival we were greeted by a host of friendly staff, quickly checked our booking and shown to our table. The cafe is quite small downstairs but it is so beautifully presented and they have an upstairs area and if the weather is typically un-British then you can sit outside in their garden. We all decided upon a full breakfast, our awkward dairy free member was easily catered for and soon after arrived our delicious food. Two sausage, two bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans, egg of your choosing, toast, all of the highest quality, bacon virtually no fat, sausages meaty with a crisp snap. Coffee was also finely brewed and was decent fuel to the caffeine system. Now this isn't the cheapest breakfast you'll ever buy and I often gulp and swallow hard when I see prices but the quality and taste of the food here at the holy cow makes the cost worth it because it is quality food!! Did I mention that the place was spot less?? No, ok well the place was spotless, clean, fresh smelling and the toiletries I in the bathroom were lovely and smelled delightful. Would I eat here again?? Most definitely and I've already recommended it to a number of friends and family. Tip would be to book in advance.

Having read all the great reviews prior to our visit, we were really looking forward to visiting the Holy Cow, whilst staying in the area . However, we were sadly really disappointed. We both ordered the French toast. The bread was of poor quality, it would have been nice to have had decent slices of real granary bread, not from a pre sliced supermarket style loaf, the slices were thin and were not particularly pleasant, just really soggy: I don't think the French toast had long enough in the pan, nor the egg mix for that matter, as it was very insipid in colour . The toast was swimming in maple syrup: it would have been much better if it had been served in a small jug so that customers had the choice of how much, or how little syrup is required. Unfortunately the bacon wasn't great either, very poor , it would have been so much nicer if decent, thick slices of bacon had been used. For the price charged, we felt decent bread and bacon would have been a certainty! The cup, for my tea, was dirty, I had to go up to the counter to exchange it for a clean one. The menu clipboards were left on the table ,when our breakfast was served, leaving us with very little room on our small table. Generally disappointed with the service. It was not explained to us on arrival that we should order our breakfast at the counter and due to overcrowding it was very hard to see if there was any signage stating protocol for food orders. It looks lovely but unfortunately due to the very close proximity of neighbouring tables, it is very hard to walk in between the tables without knocking things off the neighbour's table and I am slim, plus the acoustics of the building, it was extremely noisy and made it impossible to talk and ruins the ambience. We had tried to visit a few days prior to this experience but the cafe was full, so we reserved a table for this visit, so that we were not disappointed again. Sadly disappointment was all we took away from our experience at the Holy Cow.

Visited over the bank holiday weekend with my fiancé for brunch as she has been several times with family. I expected it to be small (which is fine) but one thing I really don’t like is when you feel like you are literally sat with the strangers on the table next to you. I appreciate that as a business you need to optimise the space available but it is very very cosy which is a shame as it’s for that reason I probably won’t return. That being said the food and service was excellent and the staff all very friendly! Make sure you have the postcode programmed into the Satnav before you set off or you’ll never find it!

I visited the Holy Cow cafe in November. Their website warns that it can be difficult to find and they are correct. I am fairly local and studied a map of the area before leaving home but I still had to stop and ask directions from a helpful local before getting on the right track. For reference - go down the road opposite the Co-Op/Post Office on the main B3139 road for about a mile and then off left down a narrow lane. The only sign you will see for the cafe is at that junction. Manor Farm is in fact a small industrial estate in the middle of nowhere and the cafe is just one of the units there.

Luckily I was recommended the Holy Cow Cafe and from initial contact to the day itself I cannot fault them... wow! Nothing was too much trouble during the planning and organising, we came the day before and had free reign to decorate to our hearts content. After the Christening we turned up to the most delicious buffet with Prosecco/teas/coffees. We had exclusive use for three hours and it was perfect ! The staff were amazing ... very friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble. I informed them that one friend was gluten free so a round of sandwiches, a quiche and all the salads were made gluten free and delicious they were too ! A massive thank you from us! Wanted to find somewhere new to take mum out for lunch. Had a look on Trip Advisor and the reviews for "The Holy Cow" looked good so off we set. The drive was great, through some lovely countryside and before long we had arrived. Just be aware that the doorway in has a step around 9 inches so getting a wheelchair in may be a problem. Mum was able to walk with my help though so we were able to get her to a seat easily and I brought the chair in afterwards. (No problem). There are a few lovely comfortable chairs which are perfect for older customers which we found a great help. We placed our order and waited for it to arrive. The wait was not long and you can see them preparing your food, I like that. What can I say about the food? Well it was wonderful. We prepared, home made and superbly cooked. I ordered quiche and salad for my main course and there were several kinds of salads on my plate, as well as a large piece of home made quiche, all for £7.95. In fact there was so much that I had no space for their luscious cakes. My partner appreciated the quality of his burger.

Went here for lunch as we couldn't find anywhere to park near a cheaper cafe. Had bacon, brie & cranberry toastie. There was plenty of bacon & brie, which is a good job at £5.75, especially when all you get with it, is a dozen crisps and half a dozen leaves as a salad garnish. The acoustics are not great and hearing can be an issue but the staff are very friendly. It was pity that i had to go and ask for the tap water we had ordered.

We both decided to take the 8 mile round walk from Radstock to Chilcompton and back. The Holy Cow is conveniently placed hallway round and ideal to stop and call in for refreshments. We both ordered the full English and two teas which came very promptly. The food was first class and perfectly cooked. Very reasonably priced too. Would highly recommend this place to everyone. We will definitely be calling back again another day.

Food simple, healthy(ish) and filling at a reasonable price. Small location but ambiance great. Helpful and attractive staff. What not to like. Well worth a visit if you’re looking for a simple but tasty option.

Revisited this cafe as situated near to elderly mothers home and enjoyed very much warm quiche and amazing salad in the summertime. Endured cold walk really looking forward to great food. Unfortunately fell well short of expectations this time. Quiche portions were smaller and almost totally made up of orange squash vegetable which did not taste very nice. Salad was inappropriate for a cold winters day but there was no alternative and again largely made up of that unpleasant orange vegetable.

We loved our visit to the Holy Cow! We had a family breakfast there with our three small children. The staff was prompt, pleasant, and helpful, providing a high chair for our baby and coloring books to amuse our three-year-old and five-year-old. The children shared a hot chocolate, which the waiter thoughtfully served in espresso cups and saucers. They also enjoyed the banana pancakes with caramel sauce, a new twist on an old favorite. My husband loved the salmon and poached eggs on toast, while my full English breakfast was generous and well-prepared. We would love to come again!

Close to the new premises of MQ, this small cafe is perfectly formed. Today we enjoyed pulled lamb with flat bread, yogurt dressing, salsa and salad and chicken, avocado and mayo toasted sandwich. All freshly prepared and delicious and very reasonably priced. Some meals of fellow diners looked very large but again freshly prepared. Lovely attentive staff and amazing menu for lunch, breakfast or tea and cake. A good way to end a fabric foray into MQ,

Excellent ice creams, great variety and flavour. I visited with my dogs on a really hot day in July. Perfect way to cool down. Also a special mention to the pet shop Wiggle and Wag which shares a site with the gelato shop. Both great.

We don’t really know Dorking but came for a comedy gig and wanted food and drink before the show. We booked a table online and then were a bit confused when we walked in as it’s looks like a work space but then has a bar and says it served food. The staff explained they had a limited menu currently. As we were there and we’d booked we thought we’d give it a go. We ordered halloumi fries to start and then various burgers - whilst initially worried this was just going to be a zap in the microwave job; how wrong we were. The food was so good. The food was restaurant quality!! The staff (particularly the gent I assume was the manager) were so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely go again; and look forward to when they have their full menu.

A truly great evening was had last night. We went for a Christmas meal, and from the point of arrival when we found “Thatchers Zero” in the fridge for the designated driver, to settling up at the end of the evening the experience was great. Super friendly staff, and a well behaved pub dog who just had a look of “please love me” on his face. The food was superb, and the price was good value for money. I would definitely recommend the pub.

Visited Glastonbury whilst on a weeks break in Crewkerne. Popped into to this lovely cafe as it was dog friendly. Forgetting my glasses I asked if they catered for gluten free, they did (it stated it on the menu). As I ordered the lady behind the counter asked if I was coeliac, I told her I was. When the food was brought to the table, the lady explained that she had cleaned the kitchen and prepared my food using all new unopened ingredients. All I had was a corned beef and onion sandwich, but the attention to detail was second to none. Really recommend this place to coeliacs and non coeliacs.

The Sunrise Cafe may look like an ordinary cafe on the outside but inside the food is something special! Choose something from The Thai menu if you like Thai food and you will experience some of the best authentic Thai cooking outside Thailand! We stopped here for lunch after driving around the Malvern Hills all morning thinking it was just a normal cafe but discovered that it also had a Thai Menu cooked by a delightful Thai lady Chef called "Jim". I am not sure how she came by that name but she was definitely a woman! We chose Tom Yum chicken soup and checked that would not be too spicy hot first. It was perfect and also contained Mushroom, Sping Onion and Tomato. Incredibly tasty with a mild warmth aftertaste. We followed this with a Chicken Massaman Curry which included a Jasmine sticky rice. The curry was the best we have tasted. It looked so appetising with it's rich golden colour. The friendly Hungarian waitress also supplied us with water and afterwards my wife Angie had a hot chocolate and I had a White Cofffee. A fantastic meal and drinks for just under £20 a head. If you are touring the Malverns this is worth taking a detour for! It is open from about 8:30 am to 4pm this time of the year and has a garden available at the back for outdoor seating in the summer months. The Cafe also serves a range of cooked breakfasts and lunches or hot sandwiches, some deserts, milkshakes, hot and cold drinks.
