What a lovely country pub. 34 of us eat here on Saturday just gone. All of the food came out together, everything was correct, food tasted great. Lovely staff. Will definitely go back.

This is a lovely local pub. If your LOCAL…..but if your not local, they will prioritise the locals before you. And if you question why you've waited an hour for just one starter to come out. They turn on you. I found the scenario hilarious as it's all you can do. A local man made a joke with me, to carry on from a joke I made to him. Nice banter I thought. Until this local decided to take offence to my comment. Then a lad called Matt came out and said. "If your going to speak to my customers like that, then F@$£ OFF NOW!!!" I found that strange..... he did say sorry if he got it wrong, which was nice. But I was still a customer, like who he's apparently protecting. ....... oh I wasn't local.... So we left without eating as the school run was getting close and we couldn't stay no longer. We ordered at 12.30 and its now getting close to 2. NO REFUND OR NOTHING OFFERED. SO WE PAID AND HAD TO LEAVE, WITHOUT EATING!! We left after an hour and a half, and my fajitas wasn't even served... some meals was, but they had to leave and couldn't stay no longer. The poor blonde girl front facing us was lovely. But she was red faced and nervous knowing what she was told to say to us. She came back and said "first of all it hasn't been an hour yet" the receipt said we was 3 minutes short..... pathetic and pointless. Why didn't they communicate with us and let us know it's running late and why? We would of loved knowing rather than wondering. Instead they told us not to come back again and threatened to call the police on us which was hysterical....... we had a 7 month old with us. We wasn't threatening or anything. That's the lady with dark hair. Not so lovely 😕 she was awkward from the start. We was in at 12 but it felt like she didn't want us there from the start....

Eaten here before on a Sunday afternoon in November - we all had the steak and ale pie, which was lovely.... however, on the downside, the pub was super cold!!! radiators not on and the landlords son popped in and asked if we were cold, said we were and he proceeded to light the log fire, which was heaven. Visited again in December and took my elderly mother - this time and despite the radiators (only 2 in the room) being on... it was beyond cold in there! sadly, the food this time wasn't as hot as it should be and you don't really receive a warm welcome from the staff... sadly, won't be returning during winter months. Stay warm everyone!

We've had Sunday lunch here for the past 4 weeks. I can honestly say the best Sunday roast we've had in any pub. The food is home cooked served to your table. Good choice of meat which really is a generous portion. Fresh variety of veg served separately in dishes on the table. Friendly staff and good service

Just visited for the first time and had a superb sunday dinner. The atmosphere was lovely, the roast and veg were amazing and the staff very friendly. Will definitely visit again, and with our four-legged child next time, because it's also dog friendly! Thanks guys

We pulled off the motorway to get some lunch and had previously eaten at a few other pubs in the area. This was by fay one of the worst pub meals I've had. The mash potato was smash, the pies are not pies (overcooked stews with a pastry lid), and peas like bullets. Smoothered chicken is chicken sitting in an entire bottle of sweet bbq sauce, with cheese on top which has been blasted in a microwave. The young waitresses were pleasant, but I'm pretty sure the chef is in fact a microwave. The meat in the pie was as tough as leather. We had 2 mains and 2 soft drinks and it cost the best part of £40. Genuinely terrible food.

Went here tonight and had a lovely meal. Nice, warm pub with a real fire blazing and friendly staff. Good food at good prices and real ale - what more do you want from a village pub? We're trying to make an effort to support these slightly out of the way pubs at the moment and places like this will be really missed if more people don't do likewise.

Very miserable staff even my daughter commented. Not a hello or ‘how was your meal’ won’t be back. Really let the whole experience down. Bar staff unhappy. Food launched in front of us. Come on chaps.

It was a lovely summer evening. We decided to go out for dinner and drove by the holly bush and thought why not. The beer garden was lovely and quiet and perfect for catching the late sun. We ordered our food and waited and waited and after an hour enquired how long before our food arrives. The young girl serving said I’m sure it won’t be too much longer. Other people had ordered and ate their meals and left. I gave it another half an hour, by this time it was 9.00pm! We decided to call it a day and we left fed up and hungry. We stopped off at the local chip shop and enjoyed a fish supper. I’m totally disgusted with the service at this pub and will not bother visiting again in the future.

Beautiful little country pub tucked away on the outskirts of Leicestershire, surrounded by stunning countryside. Friendly staff, great service and amazing food. 100% worth going out of your way for! Cherry on top of the cake was the extremely competitive pricing. £7.50 for a full sized meal at lunch time!!

We stopped here as it was conveniently close to our accommodation for the night. The sign said 'good food', but we expected fairly standard pub grub. We were both pleasantly surprised! My partner had the Cajun salmon, which he said was delicious. I went for the chicken fajitas, and would say they were among the best I have tasted (and I've eaten many a fajita in New Mexico). The food came out impressively quickly considering we ordered ten minutes before 6pm, which was the time we later noticed the menu said food would be served from. The staff were all friendly and polite. We will definitely make this our stop for food when we are in the area again. I would add Service 5/5, Food 5/5, Price 5/5. For whatever reason the ratings buttons below are not working.

I am not sure if the shop is run by the people at the pub it looks conjoined. We have been to the pub before and was lovely. I went into the shop today and I couldn’t believe in this day and age the manager was treating his staff so appallingly. The staff were polite and lovely. The man was a complete jerk. I am surprised acas has not been called about his behaviour. My advice leave your staff to do their job and you little man stay away

Often visit Costa (why have they stopped selling cinnamon buns?) This one is as you would expect with the usual fare. There was a very pleasant young lady both taking the order and preparing the coffee. There were other staff but seemed to be on a break at the time. If you like Costa this one won't dissapoint.

This is always my favourite place to go for breakfast before I go to work in town … Louisa’s Place is always pristine and so welcoming and the breakfasts are always cooked freshly for you and presented really well on the plate. The surroundings are comfortable, colourful and right up my street ! Bravo Chef! 👏👏 Rosemarie Jarvis Director Hanworth Hats Harborough
