I rarely write reviews, but this venue deserves one. Their food is excellent, comes in good portions and is always freshly cooked, I will pick the food up, drive home which takes 10-15mins and it is still piping hot. If you go there be polite, the wait time of 45mins is for a reason, it's disappointing to see people being rude. Everyone goes there so they are constantly busy. If you call for your order and the phone is ringing, this is because the lady behind the counter is busy taking an order from someone who is in the shop.

If you want to wait 1 hour plus for delivery and want food poisoning order from here

Can never get through on the phone which is annoying, but the food is amazing!

We got to know about this place through the local area FB page. They came highly recommended and they did not disappoint. The portions are huge and the taste is spot on. The Mongolian style with the special sauce were a revelation. The black bean sauce had the right flavours and spice - went well with both mixed vegetables and chicken. The Szechuan spicy tofu is my personal favourite. This place is going on our favourites list.

Lady on the phone was really polite. She said 45 minutes to an hour for delivery. I had to wait for one hour 45 minutes and the food was stone cold.

Wow. My first ever delivery from this place. Food arrived piping hot. And the flavours were divine. I had singapore rice noodles and salt and pepper king prawns. All i can say is they were the best i had ever tasted from a takeaway in my 37 years on this earth. I will be back ❤️❤️❤️❤️🇨🇳🧧🥡🥢🥠

Fabulous food , really hot and plenty of it . The only downside is they don't take cards over the phone or on delivery . Parking is a pain 😫

Very good food, ordered takeaway with collection, as was driving in the area. Everything was on time, and really tasty. Maybe only downside is parking outside, but it’s manageable. Will definitely come back for some more food from this takeaway.

We ordered a take away to be delivered last night. The delivery was on time, despite the roads being absolutely frozen. The food was amazing, thank you Hoi Wan staff and delivery driver

Oh my god.... We shared a couple of dishes from the menu.... To be honest, wasnt expecting a feast, but everything was delicious! Chilly beef was on another level!!! Price was cheaper than their neighbours....they took a while from order (in store), .. To collect, but thats probably because they are SOO delicious!!! I CANT WAIT for another Take-away night!!!! These guys are DEFINATELY my new treat!!! Well done x

Tried this Chinese due to my usual favourite Wok Star being closed & I have to say I am not disappointed! Large portions, delicious cuisine & quick delivery. The only down fall is that you can’t order online and it’s hard to get through on the phone. Also it’s cash only for delivery which meant I had to drive to a cash point. Fantastic food though 👍

Hands down the best Chinese in Dunstable, food is always top quality and nice and hot wether delivered or collected. Have been going here for a while and tried a lot of others but it’s never the same. The only pain is it’s abit difficult to order sometimes as it’s cash only delivery and the phone line can get very busy on peak times. Would love to see you guys start online ordering just to make it easier to get an order in - as this is the only reason I have to go elsewhere when I can’t get through lol But other than that you have to try the food here you will not be disappointed

Edit for review, useless never answer phone anymore tried for 1 hour today and just line busy for 1 hour, must have the phone off the hook or really not open, or ceased trading. Don't waste your time trying on the phone

Just had a Hoi Wan for the first time ever. Saw all good reviews online, couldn’t get through on the phone so thought I had to see if it was worth the hype. Half hour wait for food, but my god it was worth it. Hands down THE best Chinese food I’ve ever tasted. All freshly made and so tasty! Will definitely be a regular now!

This is the second time using Hoi Wan and will not be the last. Although by food takes a bit longer to arrive (waiting time an hour and a half), we expected this as the lady on the phone told us. The food is worth the wait, hot, fresh and very tasty. Reasonably priced too and good portion sizes. The extra little touches of a free bag of mini pancakes (very tasty) and a Diet Coke are a lovely touch. Beef in mushroom is lush as are the chow Meins. The chicken curry tasted exactly how a Chinese curry should. 100% recommend.

A better than average Chinese takeaway. Most of the food we buy is never greasy, what I mean by that is the plate afterwards is never left in a load of grease. Previous experiences from other takeaway shops leave a residue behind. Wow a bit specific I know but a reason I keep going back. The young woman on the reception is extremely polite. Food is always hot when collected and the control during covid has been very good, only allowing 2 in at a time. There is all the usual food to expect plus a few others I have not seen before. I have tried most but always end up with the same these days. Pork fried rice and Kung po chicken, extra spicy.

Not used Hoi Wan for a while, tried lots of other Chinese takeaway, but such poor quality that I went off Chinese. Tonight’s food from Hoi Wan was amazing, so hot, not glupy, not tasteless. Really restored my faith in takeaway, but I will only be ordering from Hoi Wan. Thank you, was amazing and ate far too much 😊

Hoi wan will go out of their way to change dishes to suit individual dietary requirements. Most recently I ordered Thai style noodles but they contain meat, so I asked if it was possible to have it without meat - with no hesitation they said 'yes' and also asked if egg was ok or if I would prefer it without. I really appreciated them asking that question just to make sure as it shows they are really attentive. Wishing you every success! We look forward to ordering from you again soon! x

Very nice food, but can hardly get through on the phone because they are so busy but that's a good sign that people want to order from here, but it is a bit inconvenient. Food is very nice though.

Had several meals from the Hoi Wan recently. All good. Always busy on a Saturday evening and difficult to get through on phone so usually go and order in person and return later to collect as I live quite close by.

Super busy on Friday eve, obviously to be expected. Really nice Chinese food. Will be going again. Up there with some of the best Chinese takeaway food I’ve had.

Fantastic food, very tasty and worth money. Nice stuff, limited space on car park, but there is an option to order by phone, however quite often not easy to call, as they're very busy with orders.

Absolutely love this place. The food arrives less than half hour sometimes.. Nice and hot and on time. We was recommended by a few people and since then i haven't gone else where. The food is delicious and not too salty like you get in most places, staff answer every time and very polite. The only annoying thing is that they don't except card over the phone but other than that I'm truly a very happy customer 😊

Been few times really good takeway

Fabulous place for food but extremely busy. I usually order a home delivery but decided to visit on one occasion to see how the business operated. Was well impressed how clean, busy and organised they are. I will continue to order home deliveries but allow at least 60 mins for delivery to my home. The food is that good that I'm prepared to wait. 😁

I m a chef & so I really understand good food specially Chinese & how they should look , cook, taste . I've order a few times already , each time I find something not too good , l find their food salty , burn, cook in bad oil. I'm only give a true reviews here & 100 % true , OK I ve never eaten a salt & pepper tofu were all the tofu ate so over cook they were so dry & burn ! They were so salty . Oh the beef were badly cook , I come few times , so rubbish talk about what same industry , your chefs needs retraining !

Best Chinese takeaway in town. Thorough front desk, never gets my order wrong. Been going here for years now. Good quality and worth every penny. Food is ALWAYS delivered piping hot! Reasonably priced and good quantity. Pretty much the only Chinese restaurant keeping Dunstable alive! Starting to think it's more a public service they provide. I do wish they were open for lunch..maybe once a week ??
