The Hog Stop in Hastings

As it’s cold out I decided to have my lunch in here to experience “the boss” speaking to a just eat delivery driver like an utter piece of dog crap on his shoe! The driver (a small man) left his bag on the floor by the bar whilst waiting for the food, and the boss. (Very tall and stocky) put the bag on the bar and said in a very aggressive manner whilst in his face “ are you thick in the head, someone could have tripped” in front of staff and customers. He then walked up the stairs huffing and puffing. The staff apologised on his behalf to the delivery man. The delivery driver looked mortified (I would have said scared) when I finished my food (about 3 minutes after this) I asked to talk to the boss but he was not available. I will never be going into this establishment again and will encourage friends and family to steer clear of this place to.

I had a very good experience. Food was absolutely spot on and was absolutely delicious, couldn’t fault it what so ever. The young man was very polite and always served with a smile! Handy to have a date issued newspaper everyday to read too! Must better atmosphere and food since this young man has taken over! Keep doing what you’re doing! I will be back, all the best!

Fries were raw, jacket potato with shrimp still frozen on the inside. En pie was tough and barely warmed up in the microwave. Glasses dirty and tables sticky. I've never had such bad food.

Went here for Coffee as I had a Compare the Market discount code, even though there was only one person in front of us paying, the person serving shouted down to us to ask what we wanted while we were still obviously looking at the menu instead of just waiting for us to get to the till 🤷🏻 went to use the discount code and it wouldn't work, tried to connect to the WiFi and it was so stupidly long winded I gave up, while trying to do this the person serving us was getting really impatient and huffy even though there was only one other person behind us and someone else behind the counter anyway so I just paid quickly and sat down. The whole place is shabby and run down, including broken uneven flooring and all the chairs and table felt sticky. Had to use the disabled/baby changing toilet which was also really grim as it's just left open for everyone to use.
