Chicken so hard I was pulling strands out of my teeth. Asked if food was Okay. I said no and that is why I had not touched my plate. Was not offered any reprise or apology. My friend paid as he didn't want to fuss . A disgrace of what calls itself a curry house.

no flavour very blanned chicken eas so hard

Curry was hot, but Tandoori mix was on the cold/warm side, and popadoms were crushed to pieces. Estimated delivery time was spot on, but still took an hour overall from a restaurant that is 5-7 mins away in a car, and food was delivered by a car.

I'll let social media know you charge twice.. Card and then cash on doorstep !!!

Very tasty as usual but it wasn't very hot(heat wise) and the meat Samosas were too spicy for my liking.

Always great, both in the restaurant and to takeaway. Friendly service and delicious food. Always accommodating (even now we have a little one). Now I no longer live in the area I still make an effort to go back with friends when I have the chance.

According to the app, my food was out for delivery for 45 minutes before it arrived, and half of the items were stone cold when they got here. Which is a shame, this is the second time that I've had this experience this year (close to an hour late, with cold food) after many years of happy service from the restaurant.

The first time I've had bad service from the restaurant in the 5 years I've been ordering from here (have been ordering a takeaway or sitting in at least 10 times a year, sometimes more). However, I'm very unhappy with the order. It arrived more than one hour late, after getting no updates on the app. I called the restaurant to ask for an update and they mumbled something then hung up on me while I was talking. I requested a text update on the app and never got it. The food was stone cold when it eventually arrived.

2 hours to be delivered. Kept on being told delivery was on its way. Eventually had to meet driver outside because he couldn't find my address!! When food arrived it was lukewarm and sauce had been spilled over everything.

I read reviews before I ordered however thought the dishes were quite bland and had no spice or heat to them. I'm a veg and really love my Indian food, unfortunately this didn't hit the mark. The garlic naan was nice 😊

The food was very cold when we received it! The driver stated he was confused with the address despite advising that we are based on the fourth floor and there is a lift in the building!

Order arrived over an hour late and cold. When I rang the restaurant to query the delivery time I kept getting told 10 more minutes 10 more minutes, the restaurant would not call the driver to confirm how long the delivery would be.

telephoned twice and were fobbed off with "order is on its way" without even tasking who we were/which order. Twenty five minutes later called again having had an updated time of delivery some 15 minutes previously now well over an hour since expected. When called got same response and this time when I pointed out he hadn't asked who and where I was he just hung up the phone.

Predictably great. Frequently go here for takeaways, as well as to eat at the restaurant on occasion. Staff are always very friendly and the food is always delicious. Never had a problem with deliveries, food has always arrived on time and hot.

25/8/20 - Los tres londinenses del sudeste de mediana edad nos estamos beneficiando del plan Eat Out To Help Out subsidiado por el gobierno. Habíamos comido comida para llevar de este restaurante muchas veces y comimos allí hace unos años. Llamé a las 19:40 para verificar si estaban abiertos y confirmé que estaban haciendo la oferta, así que reservé una mesa para cuatro (un amigo burbuja se unió) para las 20:15. Llegamos a tiempo para encontrar un restaurante lleno de gente principalmente joven. El personal estaba enmascarado y con viseras. Nos mostraron nuestra mesa y nos presentaron menús de comida. Nos ofrecieron bebidas, pero necesitábamos ver el menú de bebidas primero que el jefe de camareros / propietario proporcionó. Hubo un trato especial en un gran Cobra de 4. 65 así que pedimos uno cada uno. Nos decidimos por nuestros propios platos principales y algunas guarniciones para compartir y pedir. No queríamos entrantes, pero nos preguntaron repetidamente si queríamos popadums, que encontramos demasiado abundantes y vienen con encurtidos que son adicionales en el menú (pero no se describen) y generalmente se llevan antes de los platos principales (un poco de truco para hacer dinero) . Cedimos y teníamos dos papadams entre nosotros, desistí. Las bebidas tardaron un poco en llegar, pero no teníamos prisa y estaban ocupadas. Los papadams vinieron con los encurtidos obligatorios y mis amigos los compartieron todos, sobraron algunos encurtidos. La comida llegó a su debido tiempo, considerando que estaban ocupados, y estaban calientes y sabrosos. Pedí un segundo beee para mí. Mis amigos disfrutaron mucho de la comida, encontrándolos muy sabrosos. Tuve un marisco tandoori mixto Balti que estaba un poco corto en gambas. No pudieron terminar la mayoría de las guarniciones, así que terminé todos los restos, ¡incluidos los encurtidos! ¡Yo era feliz! El ambiente también era bueno, con una mezcla de jóvenes comensales disfrutando de sus comidas. No tuvimos ningún pudín y pedimos la factura. Nos ofreció una bebida para llevar, dándonos otra cobra que fue muy amable de su parte. En total, disfrutamos de una comida deliciosa y el personal hizo un esfuerzo por protegerse a sí mismos y a sus clientes.

Food was never delivered and the restaurant didn't even answer the phone! Very poor service. If you can't deliver, don't take the order.

We are long-standing customers of the Himalaya and are usually very pleased with the quality of food and service. This time, unfortunately, the Prawn Vindaloo that was ordered was just too hot. So much so that it couldn't be finished and enjoyed as it usually is. I'm not sure if it is a question of different chefs cooking, but it is noticeable that that particular dish is sometimes too spicy to eat.

1 o 2 veces al año hago una visita a Stratford para hacer compras importantes. Viniendo de los Países Bajos, esto significa que necesito encontrar un lugar para comer por mi cuenta. Me encanta ir aquí, ya que la comida es excelente, el personal es muy amable y finalmente puedo comer comida india adecuada. ¡No puedo esperar para volver a visitarlo!

Hice un pedido de entrega en Just Eat ya que el restaurante tenía buenas críticas. Asumí que mi comida llegaría un poco tarde dadas las circunstancias actuales, así que estaba completamente preparada para hacer algunas concesiones por ser un poco lenta. Mi comida ya estaba atrasada cuando recibí una llamada del conductor de reparto MÁS RUDO con el que me he encontrado. Me dijo que mi código postal no existía (vivo en una nueva construcción con un código postal confuso pero no he tenido problemas con ninguna otra entrega). Tanto mi socio como yo dimos instrucciones sobre cómo encontrarnos y luego recibimos una llamada informándonos que el conductor no pudo ubicar nuestra dirección y que el pedido fue cancelado, por lo que no pude revisar en Just Eat. No creo que el conductor se haya molestado siquiera en intentar encontrar la dirección (ya que no es exactamente difícil) y estoy extremadamente descontento con el servicio que recibí. Si se me permitió hacer un pedido de un determinado código postal que está fuera del área de entrega del restaurante, NO ES MI CULPA y no deseo que me traten de esa manera por simplemente esperar el servicio por el que pagué. Me gustaría revisar la comida en sí, pero dado que el conductor no me la trajo, todo lo que puedo revisar es la actitud y los modales espantosos del conductor de entrega.

This is the first time here for me, I came here with a group of friends for a reunion meal, some of the group have been coming here for several years. I myself did not think it was anything special but was a perfectly acceptable atmosphere with reasonable food and prices, the staff were helpful and polite. Overall average for me.

This was OK for a meal out for two. Haven't been here for years, my first visit was in 70s - so it can't be that bad to survive.

Order more from this place, the people are friendly, the food quality is always well above average (I've ordered from here 2-5 times a year since 2007) and we don't want it to ever close! We 'have' to go there for all my partners special occasions (he says its the only Curry house in Lewisham ;-)!).

Ordered from here recently, it being Friday night i decided to collect. I ordered the no-veg thali, which on paper sounded like great value, and it turned out to be just that. There were 2 curries, sheek kebab, a decent portion of chicken tikka, naan, salad- all you needed for a substantial curry. You could of even shared it with someone and still be full. Great value at £13.95. A lot of the curry in the deal was very mild, which i do not prefer, so they were happy to include hotter curries in the thali for me, which was great. The meat was plentiful and of high quality, tasty sauces and great customer service. When i went to collect, they opened and gave me a bottle of beer, which i assumed was on the house, but actually it wasn't. But, if you cant hustle a bit in your own restaurant then when can you? Besides, it was ice cold and only cost a few quid so i wasnt too fussed. Overall, this place isnt going to win any awards for innovation, but it is a solid, decent quality curry house with friendly and courteous owners. I would certainly recommenced this place.

Famous as a stalwart provider of very authentic, tasty, and reasonable dishes, this largely Family enterprise has exuded both passion for their signature dishes and value for customers in a very attractive setting. Friendly service and kind accommodation of tastes, allergies and favourites, this beloved restaurant remains a star even though others have joined the local constellation. Very lucky to have Himalaya on our doorstep. Great food that is extremely tasty and keenly priced. The menu has all the classics with the tikas and tandooris being very mouthwatering. The inside is lime stepping back in tizme but very much adds to its charm, staff are very friendly and happy to chat if theyre not too busy. We also use their takeaway/delivery, ordering directly - food arrives within half an hour. Great place.

We saw the restaurant had good reviews on Just Eat and a 20% offer when ordering over £30 so we decided to have a takeaway. My partner is wheat intolerant so Just Eat advised us to so call them to place the order instead of online. Our food should have totalled £26.60 but they kept bartering with us and insisting it was £30. We told them the postcode and they then were making us feel bad for them having to drive that far! We should have just ordered from Just Eat which let us pick the food with the 20% discount and order to our postcode without someone making us feel guilty. The guy hung up on us before we could even make the payment so we had to call back and we were then made to feel bad for the card payment and they insisted on cash. When the food arrived the chicken tikka in the dishes was very dry. Not the best takeaway we have had but it was ok. The worst was opening the bag and finding my spicy popadom black, burnt on side and folded over in half... The salad bag was just pure raw onions. Really disappointed with this and will not order again.

Terrible attendance. I'm trying to call to have an information 3 days ago and a coarse person turns off the phone! If they are like that on the phone, imagine in the restaurant? I will not and do not recommend!

Food.. excellent, staff.. excellent, price.. excellent Could do with updating the furniture and a lick of paint but the food is what’s important and you can’t go wrong! 10years + I’ve been using this place

Inedible! swimming in grease. Flavours extremely bland and the presentation of sloppy dark brown baby food. Extremely dissatisfied. Genuinely the worst Indian food i've ever tasted.
