food was ok not as good as before but still enjoyable naan bread a little burnt but ok

Super disappointing dinner. We were so excited to try Indian food in London, but this place was a bust. The food would have been reasonably priced, but it was basically inedible. I got the vegetarian set meal for one and couldn’t eat more than a few bites. Both curries were very bland/sweet. It seemed like someone replaced the salt in the dishes with sugar, with one of the curries just tasting like mashed vegetables with sugar added and that’s it. The pilau rice was just plain, unseasoned rice with red and green food coloring added. The only flavor my veggie pakora had was of the oil it was fried in. We told our server about the issues and he said we had to explain if we want the food spicy and not sweet when ordering. We were getting a take away order for our friend and after learning this told them not to make hers sweet at all. They said ok, but we should have known better after the meal we just experienced. When she ate it she said it tasted like applesauce it was so sweet. No offer to try to make the situation right, just got told that’s how they do it because that’s how British people like it. Wouldn’t recommend.

That was by far the worst Indian meal I've had in my life. I was with 4 other people, and every meal was overly sweet and so bizarre. I think that was the worst meal I've ever had at a restaurant. We told the waiter and he basically said "yeah, I would never eat this." Didn't offer to take anything off our bill or do anything to ameliorate the situation. Just don't bother, it's so so so so so so bad!

Everyone’s meal was so sweet. No spices, just sweet. We were 5 people, and no one could eat their meal because it was so sweet. The entres were dessert sweet.

As ever, delicious food, good servings, swift delivery. A great takeaway.

food was delicious chicken tikka masala was sweet with a hint of coconut and the naga lamb was just fire the nans came piping hot, overall 9/10

The saag aalu was all filled with big potatoes and very little saag. It was more of potato dish instead of saag aalu. The Peshawari naan had no dry fruits in it. Waste of money. Won’t buy again.

Order from this restaurant all the time never disappointed, delicious.

Always delicious food from Lazania, went there on anniversary with boyfriend and have been a regular customer since. Dal saag, mixed biryani and tandoori chicken are personal favourites. Always delicately spiced, homemade food to excite the senses and warm the heart.

The food was disgusting the chicken was cut into thin small slices for the masala instead of chunks and overall the food just didn’t taste right. It was not fresh it was bad

Normally the only place I order from when in the mood for a curry dish, however, on this occasion the dishes were different and didn't meet my usual expectations - pilau rice wasn't the same quality, deep fried prawn was very dissapointing and the salad that came with the poppodums was just lettuce (no onion) the dish I ordered was OK but didn't taste as flavoursome as usual. Maybe a new chef? Will probably order another time but if it's as dissapointing will find elsewhere

We went in 2018, and we still talk about the meal we had here often. It popped up in my places to review, and I realized that I never reviewed! We are from Michigan in the US and went on vacation and it was so great!

Never disappointed with Lazania! I always order something different from the specials section - Chana/Razalla/Jeera/Biryani/Methi. Pilau rice is always cooked to perfection. Great price for portion sizes too!

Absolutely disgusting and disappointing "chicken"masala had 3 small cubes of meat I it and was so sweet that was inedible.. buter "chicken" same story that tasted more like coconut soup... Seriously weatherspoons make better food than that.. never again.. shame.

It's a good place to experience Indian/Bangladesi cousine at a reasonable price. The portions are good and the menu is extensive. The preparation time is also quick. Delivery is more preferable then eating there as the ambiance is not top notch, but one should not be expecting too much at that price point anyway. Overall a good place to try for the spice cravers looking for some desi food.

Food was delivered in a timely fashion and by a helpful and polite delivery driver, however the Chicken Korai was so totally bland. I think I could have made a better sauce myself.. No good / Disappointing.

Not ordering again. The food wasn’t all that great. Had better microwave meals. With that said it is edible. Just not how you’d expect a curry quality to be from an Indian restaurant or take away. Very plain for a vindaloo and lacks flavour. Wasted 16.00 on that.

Just a day ago midnight I ordered a food takeaway called chicken biryani and it's look like chicken fried rice where it doesn't present like a real C.biryani and it's with no flavor. I clearly informed at counter to make the food spicy and with more gravy but they neglected me and told to the chef just make biryani and didn't inform the order notes which I give to him. There is no chilli at all. Very bad impression I will not return again.

Personally, I’m a harsh but fair critic the food is edible in a sense that it’s food cooked. However it isn’t at all what’s advertised on the menu, a biryani is supposed to be flavour filled , this just tasted like someone poured seasoning and overcompensated for bland rice, in all my biryani tastings, this wasn’t up to standard, as per chicken tikka? That was not chicken tikka atall I apologise but again I’m honest, that’s literally masala thrown on chicken very harsh seasoning meaning it wasn’t even marinated and blended properly. Everything else was your standard yogurt etc. Raita was legit plain yogurt no cucumbers nothing. I mean please guys the chef needs to be replaced this is hardly what you call a biryani. First and last order I’m afraid very bland.

The most unlikely place to find the greatest hospitality and truly amazing food. An absolute gem of a place where Mohammed the perfect and most generous host catered for our every need. Great guy and great food, would definitely recommend eating there!

This was a takeaway experience. Never got to try it. Cancelled our order 30 mins after we made it which is incredibly poor. If a restaurant can’t fulfil an order that’s ok, but say so. Don’t leave it until later and the cancel it. Very bad form.

We are a huge fan of this restaurant. It's always exciting to try something new on the menu. The Pilau rice is beautiful and colourful! The curries are unique only to this restaurant. I highly recommend this place!

Went back after a long long time and was happy to see new person in front who was very friendly and welcoming, had a smile all the time when he was taking our order, unlike the previous person who did not even wanted to talk to us. Definitely a great improvement and will know start to go there again. :)

This was the most bland curry I’ve ever had. Ever. We ordered 3 dishes, lamb Bhuna, lentils, and spinach potato, all 3 tasted of absolutely nothing. Literally No texture no flavor not even a hint of spice or salt at all, nothing. The roti and naan was reasonably good but with the 3 terrible curries it was hard to eat them. I remember now why we stopped ordering from here; in fact it’s worse than I remember. Guys you need to sort your chef out.

Lovely place, friendly staff when call or visit get very warm welcome by the desk person, food lovely and very well portion size, have visited several times and never got disappointed, haven't been let down even when ordering delivery. Highly recommended

Was feeling disappointed there was no lamb biriyani UNTIL I tasted the mixed biriyani as for the peshawari naan bread its the best one I've ever tasted !! Great job will definitely be ordering again in the future
