Had a lovely birthday lunch with friends on a Saturday. Staff very helpful and good selection of very tasty vegetarian and non veg dishes. Generous portions. Thank you Irfan on reception and colleagues!

Taste of Raj is my favourite restaurant! the food is amazing and the portion sizes are huge for the price! Cannot recommend enough!

Amazing restaurant with amazing staff and top food. Very chilled and relaxing atmosphere. I really liked that we had time to chat with wine and starters before our main courses. It was a great evening and it was clear the food was all very fresh and the meats were tender and melted in the mouth. The staff were very friendly and on point to our needs. Definitely my favourite Indian Restaurant in the borough of Greenwich, London. I highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be a regular customer when in the area

We order most weeks and the food is always good with decent sized portions. The wait time can be up to an hour on a Saturday night but if you’re prepared for that it’s ok.

I ordered through their website and then the food came almost two hours later.

Stumbled on this place on a Thursday evening and was pleasantly surprised. Lovely location looking over the heath, lovely friendly & attentive staff. Food was great (and im quite fussy) Reasonably priced too. All in all, a lovely night out. Will recommend & come again

Complete waste of time! We booked a table for Saturday evening. When we arrived we were told the restaurant was full and we could not be seated. After complaining we were told "to just sit down!" at the one remaining free table. We left soon after and didn't order anything. Really bad service and felt very unwelcome.

Extremely inconsistent quality and taste of food. We went on 2 consecutive days and were blown away at how bad the food was on the second as compared to the first — won’t recommend.

Superb meal. Good service. Lamb Kiralhi that melted under the slightest fork pressure. A little expensive but the quality was that good.

Mixed bag for me.....I had the Chicking set menu meal. I found the dinner to be absolutely great. The chicken was so tender in the Madras and the rice was the best I have had from a taxkaway. And the mixed starters was fantastic ( not a lot sadlyto say i.e. three prownsone small onion bargy and a what wever that thing was....yes nice but not a lot. Sad to say the rest was a let down. The mint sauce was not nice as was a the other dish that was. And only one poppadom. No nan bread ....for me it was nice food but a bit of a let down in price. I think next time I'll just order from the menu and not the set menu as I'll know what I'm getting.

Lovely, if what you want is an 'English' curry, but done ever so well, and not a lump of protein thrown belatedly into some insipid yet fluorescent sauce. The lababdar is very good.

hot tasty best Indian in London full of flavour and friendly driver

We’ve ordered a few veggie options, the food was great and we even got a couple of extra boxes of rice and pappadoms. I really liked my mattar/green pea paneer but an absolute dark horse of our order has proven to be kidney beans daal and we’ll definitely order more of it next time.

Very quiet - but it was Sunday. Food here is excellent and decent value considering how popular Blackheath is at weekends. I had chicken tikka dhansak which was delicious with a good level of spice kick! Keema Paratha fabulous. Service is always attentive and when in Blackheath this is a regular haunt for us. Worth a visit.

My order was very late but several calls I made to the restaurant only met with false promises. The delivery person was extremely rude shouting at me while delivering that my house was in the wrong location.

This is the best Indian food I have ever had. We just happened to find the restaurant in 2019. We ate there multiple times on that trip. We were very excited to see that they were still there I’m when we returned in 2024. It is still the absolute best Indian food.

A proper, solid Indian restaurant. Excellent dishes and quality. The king prawn puri is a must as it the chicken Punjabi! The shasliks (lamb or chicken) are truly brilliant. Very pleasant, traditional atmosphere inside and they always make us feel very welcome. Great spot!

The customer service from Selina and Zakir was wonderful, both of them showed great attention to detail. The food was lovely too :)

The manager literally pressured us into writing the review as soon as we ordered, and when we did he made us change it into something more specific according to his own liking. Food: couldn’t finish the butter chicken as it felt like the gravy was few days old. It had a tangy flavour to it, whereas it should be on the sweet side. Overall experience was just disturbed.

Not as good as previous time I ordered from here. The korma was bland and watery. The onion bhaji were dry and clumpy.

Soggy cardboard would make a more interesting meal. Possibly the worst indian food I've ever had. No flavor incredibly bland. Was basically was just some chicken in nondescript orange paste allegedly Tikka Masala Was also late to arrive. Very disappointing.

By far the best Indian food I’ve had in London! Taste of Raj is a hidden gem with not just an excellent menu, but the warmest of hospitality. All the staff members make you feel especially welcome and at home; Tawhid, Zakir, and Rubina were super helpful and friendly! Would definitely keep visiting!

Taste of Raj in Blackheath is a GREAT place to get a curry. I have been visiting there many times since 2013 onwards and the service is always excellent. There is the standard curry dishes as well as some house specials. The tables are clean and nicely set, the service has always been quick and I have enjoyed a full range of their curries. Finding a good restaurant at a reasonable price in London is increasingly difficult. Friends and family I have brought here have all said it's brilliant. Taste of Raj has never failed and I hope it continues to maintain these high standards long into the future. I will make an effort to visit every time I return to the area. I recommend the lamb chop starter.

The first time I visited this place, my initial reaction was "oh wow, very small!" It was quite a challenge to find a comfortable seating position due to the tables being so close to the seats and each other. The abundance of tables made the space feel cramped, and some definitely need to go to allow customers some breathing room. The small tables were overloaded with items, and I even had a close call with a candle that almost singed my arm due to the lack of space. Despite the tight quarters, I must admit the food was truly delicious, and the service was top-notch. However, the claustrophobic atmosphere might deter me from returning, but the tasty food might just convince me to opt for takeout and enjoy it in the comfort of my own home. I'm sorry to say, but it's just a one star rating for the atmosphere here. It didn't quite hit the mark for me.

this has to be the best Indian restaurant in London. the driver was slightly late but extremely polite and kind. I would highly recommend. the food is so so good it is worth the wait.

A little gem of a restaurant. Was in Greenwich on a Monday evening and dying for a curry. Worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a decent restaurant that would be open on a Monday, how wrong was I! Cosy but still had a steady stream of customers and take aways. Food amazing and generous size too, staff that were attentive but let you get on with enjoying the fabulous food. Got to give this place a go if you haven’t already!!

South Asian cuisine is probably my favourite, however this food was bland! I ordered Chicken Korma, which needed seasoning. I also ordered a Prawn Starter, this also lacked seasoning. All the food which was delivered required more seasoning. They did however offer 4 pots of dipping sauce. they were nice, but not great. I won't be ordering from here again.

Food was really good but delivery was 20 minutes later than the estimated window on the menu page, and slightly later than the end of the estimate on the confirmation page. Food is worth it, but just be aware you might have a longer wait. They also send loads of different dips/sauces.

Very good food. We experienced a delay in the delivery because the traffic was bad for the driver. This is totally understandable and the staff at the restaurant explained it to us in a friendly way. The driver was also friendly and payed attention to our drop-off location wish. All in all I am satisfied.

Amazing!! We didn’t fancy Indian and wasn’t sure on where to go but so glad that we went to Taste of Raj! We will be back!! By far the best Indian I’ve ever had! We had the lamb chops, rice, garlic nan, chilli chicken and lamb bhuna. The lamb was incredible, so tender and well flavoured. Overall the seasoning was perfectly measured. We could not fault it! It’s surprised me, we will be coming back to try more things on the menu. Food aside, place was clean and staff polite and attentive, parking close by and nice area for a stroll afterwards.

I live the other side of Greenwich park but go the extra distance to order from Taste of Raj. It really is the best Indian in Greenwich and Blackheath. Fantastic range of dishes, exceptional food, meat always super succulent and high quality. Delivery is always efficient, and food piping hot.

Used just eat to get a take away waited for 2 hours nothing so had to get McDonald's installed just can't get the staff it's slow food

Portion sizes are good however I was really disappointed with the quality of food. I've eaten in the restaurant before and it was nice food so I thought it would be a safe choice. The chicken tikka masala was really tomatoey and tangy and just not a nice one, there was a decent amount of meat in them though. the mango chutney was positively disgusting and that's usually my favourite thing. Starters were good. Food was luke warm when it arrived. Dissapointing meal overall though and I wouldn't order from them again - hope for their sake it was just a bad night.

This is our favourite restaurant and we never get tired of visiting. We’ve been coming for over twenty years. The food is absolutely delicious. Half the family is vegetarian and there’s so much choice and it’s all beautiful. The staff are totally lovely, brilliant at their jobs, the perfect balance of professional and friendly. They’re always so kind and generous.

One of the best Indian restaurants I have ever been to. The starters and main where so well seasoned and spiced. The meat was tender and the staff where incredibly attentive. Highly recommend here if you enjoy traditional Indian food that is heads above any takeaway.

The loveliest restaurant in South London. The staff are so genuinely welcoming and kind, the food is exquisitely delicious, and it's a gorgeous space to be in. My family have been coming here for decades and we are always moved by the care and excellence of all the people who work here. Year in, year out, we've enjoyed a stellar array of meals, and feel very lucky to experience this. I think the daal tarka served here is possibly my favourite dish in existence... But there is such variety on offer, catering to meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike, with affordable prices and superb portions. A gift of a restaurant and a place with many happy memories, from childhood to now.

Lovely little restaurant with great food at a very fair price. Felt welcome from the moment I walked in to the moment I walked out, (the staff even getting the door for me).. Top service, all waiters had the right attitude. Great meal, would definitely go back. (Some light backround music would have made it even better).

The puri bread was hard and more like a biscuit. Purchased for my mother who could not eat this. Otherwise the rest of the meal was great!
