Royal Tandoori in Lewisham

I have been a customer for over 20 years and have greatly enjoyed my favourite dish and have kept coming back.

Royal Tandoori is undoubtedly the best and most consistent Indian takeaway in the area. I have been using them for decades. I have tried others but their food and service is constantly good On the rare occasion that a problem may occur they deal with it straight away. I would strongly recommend!!

This is our favourite Indian takeaway by a mile. The food is always delicious, portion sizes are great and it's always delivered on time and hot. Love it!

no lie, best food of my life. also, when we didn’t realize there is no seating, we were invited to sit to eat anyway in the waiting area and were given paper towels and forks. Could not have been kinder or more accommodating!!

Made an order however accidentally forgot to add something on called the restaurant and they were very unhelpful. Utterly useless and not supportive at all. Won’t be ordering there again. Also food is very bland.

My rice order was wrong. I was sent pilaw rice, when I asked for plain boiled rice.

Food has arrived over an hour later than expected. Most of the sauce from my curry is fine carrier in which it was delivered, rather than the container. I would like a refund. I have photos of the mess that was sent to my home. I'm now having a row with my wife and have curry all over my hands and table and several trays

Excellent food and service. It was my first time ordering from here, i’ve tried a few other Indian takeaways in the area and this tops them all BY FAR! Every dish was packed full of flavour and did not disappoint! I would 100% recommend to anyone who’s looking for tasty, high quality indian food. This place is definitely my go to from now on.

Absolutely awful delivery experience. Driver handled food very poorly upon handover, food has spilt out of the containers into the bag covering everything in sauce. 2 mint sauces that were ordered are missing. As this was an expensive order we are very upset.

Still the best Indian takeaway in the area. The dishes are always full of flavour and never bland, we’ve been coming here for years now and they are always busy for a reason: it’s literally the best around!!!

The Chicken was not cooked, pink inside. Called the restaurant and the person who answered the phone was extremely rude. Said that's the way it comes and we know nothing. I may not know how to cook a curry but I know what uncooked meat looks like. Reporting you to Lewisham food standard agency.

The food was exceptional. The service was super friendly and the owner even gave us complementary drinks. All and all would definitely recommend it if you’re a fan of good honest Indian food We had wonderful time here. Staff was very courteous. The food was amazing. We just thought to give it a try because we were in this area but pleasantly surprised with quality of food and service. Just round the corner from us, this has been our local takeaway for years. We go here every Friday night after work. The Chicken Madras is great and the staff always friendly They deserve better rating for sure.

The taste of curry was horrible and on the top of that the half of the curry was spilled in delivery packet. Highly unsatisfactory service an taste . No worry of paying that much amount .

This was the absolute worst of any takeaway I’ve ever had and I actually walked down to the restaurant on my precious Friday night to complain in person. I started eating the curry, the flavour of which was not terrible but not great and realised that the tray, as is typical with curries in London, was almost entirely liquid. I poured it off into a separate container and found a few sliced scraps of dry lamb, not diced chunks like in every other curry I’ve ever had. The manager in the restaurant was incredibly rude and tried to convince me that this was authentic and how it’s supposed to come as I took what was delivered with me to ask him if he thought it was acceptable. He actually took the tray with the remaining food off the counter and threw it away, so stole the food I had paid for. I have pictures and video of the incident and will post them up on Google reviews if I am not given a full refund including the fees and charges I paid. Terrible experience, avoid at all costs.

The food arrived damaged and most of the sauce was in the carrier bag and not in the carton with the chicken.

My order came and the 3 of the things I ordered was crushed and the curry was spilled all over the bag, I have pictures of it. Nearly all of the curry was spilt everywhere all over everything else and all was freezing cold.

Kurma was full of water and flavourless, seemed thawed from frozen. Rice was swimming in oil. I’ve ordered here lots of times before and it’s usually good, not sure what went wrong tonight but food shouldn’t leave the kitchen like that.

With the new online ordering service this excellent restaurant is now propably the best in the area! Only the very best food at very reasonable prices, with excellent customer service and extremely quick delivery service! My congratulations, it is no surprise to anyone that you are rated so highly!

The food was nice, but a little salty. The taste was generally quite good and the portion sizes were good.

Ordered twice, shame on me. The first time the chick pea curry was undercooked and gave me a bellyache for 48 hours. A year later ordered a mixed grill which was bland and the chicken not cooked properly. On complaining the manager was so abusive. Foul language and threats. Apparently this is totally normal! How they are still in business I don’t know. Also, in another poor review legal threats have been made so this will be interesting… Update: in response to the reply. Yes it is you. Next door to Co-op. By crofton park station. Oh yes, it’s you.

Food was great as usual however the saag paneer was squashed and had exploded on the other food making a bit of a mess, food is always very good here though

The curry had spilled out of the container due to be carried the wrong way, all the bag contents were covered by korma, not great.

i have been using royal tandoori for a very long time the food as always been great but must have a new cook now the food i got today was not good in anyway was very bad my son also his last meal form them was the same not long a go. i do hope they fix this soon as i do love royal tandoori food but not the food we been getting recently from them

The prawn tikka masala is to dieee for, my favourite curry ever and has never dissapointed (ive had it alot) the onion bhajis are also great. Lovely staff too. Highly reccomend. Thanks RT!
