The food the staff.. Everything perfect.. A special thanks to Willow the waitress.. I'm 72 and never seen anyone as fast working. Efficient and service with a smile. We were amazed.. Not saying this because we might know her which is not the case.. It's because we stay in Wyndham once a week from great Yarmouth and always praise people and establishments when they deserve it.. Thank you ALL at the White Heart.. Will definitely be back regularly and recommend 100 %.

Nice welcoming pub. We visited on 2 evenings whilst in Hethersett. Food each time was lovely and potions very generous. Gammon, egg and chips could have fed 2 people and the gammon slice was really large. The chicken Caesar salad was outstanding and very generous portion. Service was good each time

Excellent staff, lovely service and good value carvery. The staff were so very helpful and although we arrived late in the day, they prepared a nut roast alternative which was huge! We were also allowed to ave a child sized plate as I have a smaller appetite. Top staff. Felt very well looked after.

The food is just terrible. The worst bar food we have ever had. I can’t put into words how bad this was. Tasteless, cold, overcooked. Puddings were microwaved to death. Don’t really want to pay it was that bad. The pizza for pudding was just a joke.

Sunday carvery here was not hygienic the guy who carved the meat wore Jean's and shirt no protective clothing, wiped his nose several times with the back of his hand I got the attention of the waitress and made my concerns , she informed me that he has hay fever, so I tell her he needs to go and wash his hands and put on a mask . She spoke to him and he returned wearing no mask.Needless to say my husband who is an ex chef did not eat a carvery.

We were down over the beer festival weekend. Even though the pub was extremly busy and full for their festival service was prompt and efficant with drinks brought to our table. Food arrived in good time despite lots of others around us. The table next to us had the mussels special and smelt amazing and after speaking to them said they really enjoyed it. The burgers we had where great- both to look at and to taste, and the Chilli Jam was to die for!!! We had the Cheesecake to follow which again not a crumb left on the plate! We where visiting the area to look at properties due to family moving and this is a big plus for us having somewhere where theres not only a good atmosphere but great food! We've already planned our next visit back up in May for their next beer festival!!! Highly recommend trying this place out! We will definately be back again soon!

We booked a table easily. It was in the big room up a few stairs. We were greeted inside the pub by staff and the dog. And shown to the table. They were quick to take our drinks order. A young man took our order politely and listened carefully while our teenager prevaricated over her choices. The food was lovely. Hot and well presented. Our older relatives had salads. The pizzas, garlic bread were tasty and the onion rings huge. The burger gorgeous, as was the ham egg and chips and fries. Nothing seemed too much trouble. The brownies and ice cream enjoyed. We would definitely recommend based on service and food quality. Easy car parking too. We usually take visitors to the green dragon but this would be our new go to.

Great customer service and food, great ambiance and outdoor garden area! Went with a friend for a drink and lunch, we bought a pizza, chips, garlic bread and hummus chips. The food was fantastic, however the pizza made me feel extremely ill and I feel this is due to the gluten content. I do wish they would specify if there is a gluten free option as o was painfully ill that night. Despite that, the service was great and outdoor seating area was nicely spaced out.

Food and Service Lovely.Mainly young staff front of house but very professional and welcoming.Carver lunch , choice of three meats.Pork and beef melted in your mouth.Plenty of choice of vegetables. Only negative was the Carvery itself needs to be more well positioned and given more room. The vegetables and sauces need to be positioned after the meat and then vegetables, gravy and sauces at the end, otherwise it felt like you were doubling back on yourself. However it didn’t detract from quality of the food. Will definitely come again. Well done , thank you very much for a lovely afternoon out.

Haven’t ever been to the white hart in Wymondham but I certainly wouldn’t be returning. The place it’s self is done out very nicely, staff are friendly but the food was really not good at all. I wanted the fish and chips but there was no fish so decided to go for the egg mayo sandwich which apparently is fresh bread from Mervs (that certainly was not fresh, was completely dry). My partner had the burger which again was very dry and he was convinced it was a supermarket burger and not homemade. We also ordered a side of nachos which on the menu sounds very nice but actually it was cheap dorito crisps with a tiny bit of grated cheese on top which was not melted and a little bit of salsa. Won’t be returning!

Visited with a party of 12 for staff Christmas Dinner. Stupidly leaned on one of the high tables in the bar which slid away rather too easily Grabbed a chair for support but that was in proper wobbly mode so I decided against testing it with my enormous weight. We were shown to our table in the dining room which is nicely decorated complete with paintings from local artists which is a nice touch. I personally would have appreciated a handrail alongside the two steps up. One of our party had cancelled at the last minute and this was notified to the staff as soon as we knew. The waitress still managed to present a starter for our missing guest which was returned but as we were situated close to the kitchen it was clear that our missing diner had created some heated discussion in the kitchen. We had a variety of starters and there were no real issues to report. My spiced vegetable soup was very good although a toasted bread roll was a new experience. Perhaps it is a cheffy thing. The plates were cleared in a timely manner ready for the mains. I had the vegetable Wellington which again was very nice. It was at this point that I discovered a spoon anomaly. It seems there is only one kind of spoon in the whole place. This serves a soup spoon, serving spoon and dessert spoon. To be honest this was disappointing as my colleague chased sprouts across the table as she had boldly attempted to pick up more than one at a time from the serving dish. This was followed by the quite difficult task of balancing quite large parsnip and carrot pieces from bowl to plate. I'm sure we could have asked for another spoon but question why we should have to. As far as the food was concerned there were no complaints I was aware of. The sprouts were perfectly cooked without any of that cheffy nonsense we are supposed to love. The carrots and parsnips were a bit under for my liking and unusually the parsnips had some colour as if someone had started to roast them and changed their mind. Anyway they weren't raw so all was fine. I will never understand why fish is served skin upward but perhaps I should get out more. My colleague requested some water and was presented with a bottle of same but no glass. Should one really have to ask for this? She didn't ask so drank it straight from the bottle. The table clearing was somewhat scrappy with some odd cutlery being left behind and some taken. This caused some upset with the waitress when people requested dessert spoons whilst she was serving the sweet course. It seems.we may have caught her on a bad day as she became rather snappy with various members of our party. To be honest it looked like she had been forced to curtail her riding lessons to serve us anyway but again perhaps the not so smart casual look is in right now and I'm just out of touch. One of our desserts had been pre ordered with custard as our colleague has issues with cream and our request that it was changed seemed to irritate the waitress once again. I was offered a spoon without asking for it but again it was the aforementioned White Hart Universal Spoon which was only just narrow enough to extract my delightful lemon posset which was buried deep in a narrow wine glass. The accompanying shortbread biscuit managed to be three different textures which was unusual. There was little interaction with the staff with one exception and we did feel we were a bit of an inconvenience being there. The toilet facilities were clean and reasonably tidy although I have to say I'm not a fan of the scrappy notes attached to the doors. There was an out of date advert for a past event which I was sorry I missed. As soon as we got up to say our goodbyes, the waitress was straight in there with the table clearing and spray polish and I would question whether this needed to be done quite so soon as we were still stood there and I didn't notice a queue of fresh diners waiting to be seated. The bill was promptly presented on request but due to slight awkwardness on our part the manager had to be summoned to work the till. We were surprised that as our glorious leader was well known to him, he failed to ask how our evening went. In summary, we had a nice meal with well presented food at a reasonable price which was let down by the general service. All my points are easily fixable and would establish this venue as a go to location for all. I do hope we are able to return and support our local business.

Called in recently on ‘burger night’ with a group of friends. The pub interior is great - cosy and welcoming. The food and service was equally good. The only thing which spoilt the experience for us, was a guy in the bar who had clearly had way too much to drink. He was very loud; his extremely abusive language could be heard throughout the pub. There was a young woman serving behind the bar, and I’m guessing she was reluctant to deal with him. She was certainly aware of him, as he sat about six feet away from the bar!

What a lovely pub! The pub feels welcoming and homely and had a lovely warm fire burning. We ordered the fish and chips and the hunters chicken. The fish was enormous! But delicious with a really crispy batter and beautifully white fish inside. The hunters chicken was also lovely with a bbq sauce that wasn’t sickly sweet which can sometimes happen. We both enjoyed the chips which were really well cooked. Added bonus - the landlady recommended an alcohol free cider which I really enjoyed - something I’ve struggled to find since being pregnant. We will be back!

We were having awful trouble getting into the pub with our wheelchair, we had to struggle with both doors,3 Gentlemen sat by the doors, they were obviously regulars,we asked for assistance, they refused, saying they were enjoying watching us struggle, the landlord came past and closed the doors on us!!

Having read the bad reviews on the carvery we thought we would still check it out. Sadly although this is a nice pub the beef was tough and indigestible, cauliflower cheese had not seen much cheese. Greatly disappointed, as we might have been regulars. It was busy, popular, but sadly awful food for a carvery.

Recently visited the white hart and was delighted to find that the waitress was well informed about food intolerances as my partner has coeliacs disease and often struggles to eat in local pubs. It was also nice to see that several menu options already had gluten free variants including the locally sourced wymondham burger that I myself had. Would highly recommend.

We recently visited family who booked a table for us to eat here in the evening and as I have coeliac disease having gluten free options is a must. When we arrived it was fairly quiet but soon got busier. As we don’t eat out often my partner and I decided to go all out with a starter, main and dessert! The waitress was very accommodating and made me feel confident she was taking my intolerances seriously and also explained she would talk to the chef to ensure my food was prepared in a separate area.

Went with friends for a Carvery on a Sunday open 12-4, we arrived at 3pm & not too much meat left, a little beef & Pork. It was nice food, we all enjoyed it. Just lacking peas & carrots, but maybe they change the choice of vegetables & meat. The staff where all friendly & very quick to respond if we needed anything. A nice pub.

I have been enjoying this pub regularly since the new owners took over in April! The decor and atmosphere is relaxing and staff are always friendly and more than happy to chat! I usually visit once or twice a week and there are always different drinks to try so it never gets boring! I have also eaten here on countless occasions and the food is always delicious wether it was the standard menu, burger night, pie night or a Sunday carvery!

We entered through the back of the pub as the public car park is just there. It was bare and cold looking by the bar, and reminded me of a social club from days gone by. On walking through to the lounge that looks onto the main street, it was cosy, a lit log fire, and comfy chairs randomly plonked down. The real ale was very good and we enjoyed a homemade pie with vegetable and new potatoes. All clean and tasty, also the staff were very pleasant. It was lacking something, like two halves of a different pub and was rather odd. But still interesting enough to visit if you are passing by.

Had lunch here, staff were helpful and pleasant, the food was okay but not exceptional. The setting is quiet with a slight nod to the 1940's. Not sure about the green neon light in the alcove but it was an adequate lunch.

It's a lovely little pub in the middle of the village and at the end of Rockland broad where there are around 8 free morning's, it's great for a overnight stay, so back to the pub great people who make you feel welcome and a nice little area for outside seating on those summer evenings, so yes I'll be going back
