Used to come here all the time with my Mam before she sadly passed away 5 years ago , we used to come on a Saturday , since then to keep my Mams lovely memory alive i have been back on many occasions as this is not just a normal cafe it has a hidden secret - EXCEPTIONAL THAI FOOD , usually one dish a day and differs every day just look on the specials board , something like this is a hidden gem and the service is always fast and friendly , the owner wouldnt hold it against me if i said she was a bit loud lol but thats just her way - a very friendly soul and this place is very popular with locals and shopkeepers who order their Thai food as a Takeaway. I love Thai food at the best of time but to find a place that serves it at lunchtime is very very rare , and as i said the quality is superb , ive never been to Thailand but ive eaten in many posh Thai restaurants and the quality of food matches and beats all of them. Keep up the fantastic work to the owner and all your staff. See you soon.

The best of British breakfast and meals with authentic Thai food all cooked to order, fresh and fabulous great sense of community and a home from home genuinely it's under priced for the quality and the Thai lady jum owner. Is such a pillar of our community.

Oh my goodness .. I always walk at the headland .. I keep hearing about this little cafe so decided to call in with a fried for a bite to eat before a walk. Not at all where I’d usually go for lunch but it will be from now on!! Fabulous scary gorgeous little owner was incredible, the food , we both had curry, was absolutely beautiful and the service was above friends and excellent .. the price was exceptional value. This place is a hidden treasure and we will be back and next time I will order my husband a take away in time!

The headland cafe is a great place for dinner, open 6 days a week with friendly staff and a great range of food, authentic Thai curry’s and stir fry’s and a car very twice a week with prices that makes you wonder how they can make it so cheap this place is certainly a favourite for me as I work around Hartlepool

This little cafe doesn't look much from the outside but its a true gem. I found it by chance when out walking one day and popped in for a cuppa. Nice fresh made Yorkshire tea for under a quid. It's now a regular place to eat for me when I visit Hartlepool. The headand cafe is run by 3 polite and friendly ladies who work incredibly hard and produce great food. One of the ladies is Thai and produces great freshly made Thai curries and stir-fries at lunch time or alternatively they offer a good English carvery. The usual cafe-fare is also available. The full breakfast is excellent. Large breakfast with everyhting on it plus tea and toast for just over a fiver. Everything is cooked to order so it can take a few minutes to get served at busy times. Much used by locals and visitors alike. My favourite cafe in Hartlepool.

Long walk from Crimdon Dene over the sands to the picturesque Hartlepool Headland. In need of a good cuppa and a sit down. Great little cafe, friendly helpful. Plan to return for the lovely looking mince and dumplings.

Called into the Headland Cafe for breakfast. Great food and service. Had to wait a few minutes because the food was freshly prepared so not a problem. The service and cleanliness of the cafe was second to none. I also purchased the Thai Curry to take home which was superb. Do yourself a favour and pop in to this small and friendly cafe you wont be disapointed. Dont expect the decor of the Ritz but enjoy the great food and service.

This is a no frills cafe serving good, honest, value for money meals whether that meal is breakfast, or lunch (Thai, or Carvery). A good place to visit.

Love it here. Amazing service as always. The coffee shop is part of the Huegh Battery Museum so all for charity. Hugh Battery Museum is spectacular. A great piece of Hartlepool history. Great bacon butties. Great coffee, great cakes. My dog loves it here. Especially the doggie sausage. She can try the ice cream in the summer. Only moved here late last year. This was an amazing find. Park nearby. Walk the headland then have coffee and cake. Or if early enough a bacon butties for a late breakfast. Just a shame closes December to February but will be a regular visitor at the weekends.

Pure chance we called in here during dog walk combined with pub crawl around headland. What a great surprise and find. Staff were absolutely brilliant friendly and amazing. We all ordered food which you know was cooked to order as it was fresher than fresh. The half cod and chips was ordered by two people and it was perfectly cooked with the most amazing home cut and fried chips (none of Yr skinny fries these were big proper chips). The batter on the fish was nicely crispy and not soggy. I ordered a parmo which was delicious came with chips and salad as it was so nice I devoured it like there was no tomorrow. One toasties was ordered and yet again was delicious. Finally a chicken fajita was brought out and so tasty it didn't last long. We all had drinks and all commented on how overall the service was great friendly and couldn't ask for more. All so competitively priced we will be returning Thank you all at the Victoria Arms
