Victoria Arms in Hartlepool

Pure chance we called in here during dog walk combined with pub crawl around headland. What a great surprise and find. Staff were absolutely brilliant friendly and amazing. We all ordered food which you know was cooked to order as it was fresher than fresh. The half cod and chips was ordered by two people and it was perfectly cooked with the most amazing home cut and fried chips (none of Yr skinny fries these were big proper chips). The batter on the fish was nicely crispy and not soggy. I ordered a parmo which was delicious came with chips and salad as it was so nice I devoured it like there was no tomorrow. One toasties was ordered and yet again was delicious. Finally a chicken fajita was brought out and so tasty it didn't last long. We all had drinks and all commented on how overall the service was great friendly and couldn't ask for more. All so competitively priced we will be returning Thank you all at the Victoria Arms

Sunday roast was unreal. amazing service especially from Matt!!! Our favourite pub in oxford for food and drinks.

What an amazing bunch of people! Couldn't do enough for me and my group of friends. Marie and the squad went well out of their way to do everything they could for us and I really can't recommend them enough! We will certainly be back!

We found this little gem at the headlands in hartlepool what a whorm,welcoming,friendly place.people are down to earth the owners are amazing they have got it right.home cooked food fantastic Sunday lunch im surprised that people are not claiming the walls to get in.we were strangers and they made us feel part of the place.family run place.if your looking for a karaoke,mid week bingo, something good to eat (at really good price and value) or just a frenndly drink and chit chat in the bar/beer garden then get yourself to the victoria arms they well genuinely make you welcome no fake pretense.love this place love the people. Beautiful food. A good selection of drinks at a good price. It was a great laugh. Headache next day was worth it. Very friendy pub. Fabulous owners make you feel so welcome. If you want a laugh this is the place to go also Sunday lunches are beautiful.

Me and my dad visited the Victoria arm on the 22.7.2022 we had a lovely time the landlady Marie was so warm and welcoming with a bubbly personality and made us feel realy welcome and her husband who was the chef made the most amazing fish and chips all freshly cooked . We will definitely going back to sample more of the amazing menu and the beer was spot on me dad said best pint of trophy he's had for a long time .

Amazing Sunday dinners and a lovely family pub atmosphere. We played bingo and did lots of karaoake. It's one of those pubs you feel at home as soon as you go in.

This is the second time that we have been to the Victoria Arms. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had the Hunters chicken, which I had previously and enjoyed it. My friend had the large Sunday lunch pie, huge portion and he did not manage to finish it, our better halfs had the salmon dish which they enjoyed. The meals were very well presented and very large portions, if you are unable to finish they are quite happy to box up the remainder for you to take home.

Lovely Sunday Roast at a good price. Friendly staff. Will probably go back.

Really friendly staff who will go out of their way to ensure you are happy and comfortable. Perfect place for a quiet drink with friends and family. They also host apt of themed nights including spiritualists. one of if not the best pub I have been to.

Just finished our Sunday lunch we got a beef and a Pork it was absolutely gorgeous compliments to the chef and it was very well organized for pick up we will be back 😊

Left Manchester for Hartlepool today and thoroughly enjoyed myself in the Victoria arms.Really warm and friendly greeting, great pint and some conversation, the food was lovely and service on the tables by Jake, Molly and Grace was delightful. Will definitely be going back and starting a mini crawl around here in the summer. Lovely people x.

This place has gone down hill. I visited for Sunday lunch recently, They are very gready with the meat portions they have took off the Brocoli & Cauliflower in replace for Green beans, I asked for beef and turkey and i was told that coz there aint a lot of Turkey left i have to pick another meat case some comes in and whats turkey (Wow) it is uncomfortable I was getting watched putting the food on my plate. The veg is very bland and dry, the mushy peas are really watery with no taste. The guy serving the meat is quite rude and abrupt and is watching everything.I won`t be back and judging by the empty room i`m not the only one with a bad experience as you could not get a table not long ago.

it's a good pub that people ca go to for food and watch the football and it has it's own function room for party's and other stuff and it has a pool table to play pool agents people like family members or staff member.

It's our second visit to this cosy, untouched little pub. Its totally family ran, the Dad being the Chef. The food served is all fresh and very high quality. Already planning our next visit to work our way through the menu.

Had our Christmas meal there on Saturday night the food was unreal the staff where great its just a shame I don't live closer or this would be my local

Went for Xmas meal out with family and friends the food was lovely from start to finish the starter and desert was served to you and the started was a huge serving I had soup it was hot the carvery you went for the meat was lovely and moist and veg was plenty of choice and all hot dessert was delicious the whole visit was well worth it. Bar staff and servers well done we will be visiting again.

Bargain 6.95 and a proper Sunday lunch.always hot and plenty of gravy.highly recommended.you can book but there is plenty of room not to.took the kids too a couple of weeks ago and it’s only 4.50 and the get plenty.warm atmosphere and friendly place

First time visitor, the service and staff are excellent, nothing was a bother, I had an unfortunate accident were my shoe snapped and the lady who was running that shift seen my dilemma and ask what size shoe I was. She then came back with a pair of shoes to fit me so I could get home without any problem. I am sorry I never got the ladies name but once again thank you very much.The food was also amazing, fresh home cooked meals and dessert to die for, I would recommend the fresh salmon in white wine sauce and banoffee pie. The salmon was beautifully cooked and vegetables were fresh and cooked al dente, just how I like them. Excellent pub food at a great price, will be returning.
