Lovely pub went in to watch the football no food on but Lovely staff aloud us to nip and get the kids good from local greggs has they wasn't serving food at present.

This place has definitely improved over the years from what it once was. It has become a pub you want to visit instead of avoiding. Great job done by the management.

Good play area with out door seating front and rear. Good availability for parking.

I had a Hawthornes burger and hone cooked chips. The burger was tasty and fresh and lovely crisp fresh lettuce. it was well cooked and the chips were nice and fluffy inside with a crisp skin. I would not hesitate to order from here again. I'd like to compliment the chef.

I have just ordered from Just Eat on Valentine's Day I ordered 2 minted lamb burgers and onion rings with alcohol. It tasted fantastic the burger was juicy and the chips cooked to perfection. I can't wait to order again soon.

Food was delivered quickly, and was absolutely delicious. The pulled pork was so well seasoned and slow cooked to perfection, and the burger was a good size, and not at all dry. Even the lettuce was somehow still crisp, despite it having been delivered! Can't wait to order again!

Visited for time since it’s changed hands and it was great! The beer is excellent, best in the area a good selection of premium lagers, and the food was delish we had burgers with the triple cooked chips which were extremely moorish will be making this our local from now on.

Had my boys party here, and I must say how outstanding the service and staff are! Anything we needed they was straight on it. The atmosphere was amazing, happy, and so willing to help! All the children and parents had a fantastic time! Thank you to The Hawthorns team🧡 Will be definitely going back!

We had Sunday lunch today (carvery) delicious tender meat, lovely roasted carrots potatoes and parsnips, creamy mash, homemade yorkshire puddings, fab gravy all in all 👌😋 and affordable

First time we went in the place as we got on the wrong bus wat a nice friendly pub Mrs wanted a coffee and the lady said we don't have the fancy stuff the coffee she made was better than the fancy stuff and the John smith's was nice to highly recommend many thanks stay safe

Decided to try the Hawthorns for a carvery today. Staff are lovely and friendly and accommodating. Food was really nice too. Will be visiting again with the kids in tow.

Lovely food/Sunday carvery. Beef was cooked just right and the roasted veg were yummy. Loved the chocolate fudge cake too. Yes, there was a short wait for more veg (10min), but was happy to wait. Staff were nice. Definately going again.

Very friendly atmosphere, well kept pub, dog 🐕 friendly, polite staff with good food, Sunday carvery has a choice of three meats and plenty of veg. Vegetarian meals available as well. The new Landlady, Denise, always makes customers feel welcome, as does the staff. I will definitely visit The Hawthorns again.

Carvery was dry and cold. Place was empty and toilets were dirty. Had to pay for food separately to drinks which seemed odd? Roast veg was soggy and the beef you couldn't eat due to the amount of fat running through it. Could tell it had all been sat out for a long time. Shame as used to be amazing carvery and had to book weeks in advance.

Nice pub....slightly clicky groups as you walk in but surprisingly...everyone is friendly. Lovely landlady and landlord plus, good prices....overall a nice local pub!

Took my girlfriend here after nearly breaking up, manager said come back for free valentine drinks! Can't cash in as we broke eventually, but caring staff!

Half an hour to queue for the carvery ... 2 different sets of people said they had pre-booked but weren't expected because it hadn't been written down. Ran out of vegetables at one point which held things up. First and last visit I'm afraid 😕

The poor chef was by himself and had to serve customers drinks as well as trying to serve us food. When we did have our meal it was nice.

Went last Tues. and had a carvery, and a pint, good food and good beer and nice surrounding, good prices, all in all good.

Friendly and welcoming staff, good atmosphere, only downside had 3 rounds of drinks, all the same and was charged 3 different prices, ranging from £5.60 to £7.10

Visited to watch the football on the Tuesday and Wednesday, only had drinks but the bar staff very friendly and welcoming and the ambience was nice. Pool table out the back and poker table which is a lovely touch also.

Had a bad night every Thursday night and is ok to meet up with friends hoping the refurb will be nice supposed to be really nice and new menus

Stopped here with my young family on a Friday tea time and found the food excellent and service outstanding. The prices were very reasonable and the pub well presented. Definitely recommend with or without children

Yorkshire pudding over done. Beef so tough my wife couldn't manage. Food seems to have gone down hill over the last few months.

Atmosphere lacks a little, rarely has any real ale on. Beer served was ok, staff down to earth and friendly.

No real ale. Had two rump steaks and worthington cream flow for over £25. The home made chips were undercooked and soaked eith fat. The onion rings were burnt. The side salad that was part of the meal was forgotten by the kitchen. All in all a big disappointment. I'd only call again if I wasn't hungry.

Friendly staff and a really good value for money carvery We visited Tues. Lunch time and it was not overcrowded just right. Beer was good too.

We went there for a birthday get together and weren't disappointed!!! The food was fantastic, the kids meals were extremely good and we all had clean plates at the end! 👌👍

After a really lovely meal last summer here with the girls from work we decided to re visit this week;very disappointing,stripped down menu I went with the two eat for £10 along with a colleague choosing fish chips and peas,it was tiny ! five chips,a fish portion the size of a fish finger and the customer service amounted to just one member of staff leaning on the bar seeming totally uninterested, the others in the group opted for baguettes because there wasn't much else to choose,we wont be going here again.

Would not recommended food but staff and music somtimes is ok.

great value food two course menu £4.95 starter and main or main and sweet this is a limited choice menu I can recommend the breaded mushrooms for starter and steak pie for the mains. Another menu available if you require a greater choice.

Loud noisy pub. Staff had no idea what they were doing

We called at The Hawthorns whilst looking for someting to eat and staying locally, normal pub grub menu plus a carvery, ordered and expected frozen chips, but oh no, fresh homemade chips, huge breast of chicken for hunters chicken, my daughter had the carvery, homemade cauliflower cheese, all fresh veg and 3substantial slices of pork, we liked it so much we went back 2 days later for steak, it melted in your mouth, a bucket of homemade chips and a salad garnish, amazing value for such quality, will definitely return if that way.

Tuesday afternoon carvery at The Hawthorns good quality carvery for £3.95 a head what good value and choice of meat and veg plentiful beat that if you can.
