Staff was friendly and professional especially Joana who catered to our need with a lovely persona . Will definitely visit again as I'm a guest at the premier inn next door

Had a fantastic meal this evening at the Bell and Barge.Always a good atmosphere in the venue and great food as always at very competitive prices. We were served by Joana who was very helpful, great personality and looked after our order spot on even down to sorting out gift vouchers from a recent birthday. We have been going to the restaurant for around 20 years and will definitely be back.

Yes the food was really nice, well cooked good value for money mostly, nice if you want to come for a treat, as can be slightly expensive but food and service was five star and the waitress who served us was polite and helpful. Excellent food and service. Great interaction with server, my sister got stuck in the washroom, door lock fell off, great laugh… server played along after apologizing. Food a little slow from kitchen as very busy, but aok as we were talking etc. Used a voucher, server recognized immediately and processed payment, very efficient. Good value, well cooked, Rump Steak a little tough in mixed grill otherwise very good, and good vfm. We’ll be back.

I was enticed with a 25% off food voucher for downloading the App. There was a family group of 7, celebrating my birthday and I was paying the entire bill alone. I paid the bill, and only once we left, I remembered the voucher. I returned and asked for the payment to be credited and re processed with the 25% off of Main Meals discount. I was told that the manager said, 'No, and suggested that I could use the voucher for my next visit'. This was a special occasion, a group of 7, including my son and grandchildren, not to be repeated anytime soon. Very disappointed with the customer service.

Fantastic service from Joanna, fulfilled all of our requests for the fathers birthday, very friendly and fantastic service. The food is good for what your paying, very filling and the refillable drinks are well worth it.

Server completely ignored my request for all meals to come out together. Ignored my request for no sauce. My children waited for half an hour after mine came out. Manager offered nothing . Terrible service

We were staying two nights at the Premier Inn attached to this establishment. My wife had fish and chips which was hot and I had a mixed grill which had not been heated up properly, I tried to eat the different items but the deeper I went into each cust the food was cold, not even warm and for what ever reason my chips were hardly warm as well. I did complain and they waiter took the food away and said they could not give me fresh food. Which I never asked for, they just took the meat and put it on another plate without any of the trimmings and acompiments and heated it up on the grill and gave that lot vack, yes hot, the pork had gone as hard as leather and the chicken had dried out considerably. This place digusted me and will never give it any credit. Their use to passing tradesmen who just want to grab a bite and a few beers. In fairness to them, Harvester has a shocking record with me for untrained and uncaring service, and in pointbof fact I have not eaten at the Harvestors for at least 20 years and this week has proven their customer care has not changed in all the years that have passed, if I knew the premier inn had a harvester attached to it we would NOT have even bothered to stay there. Such is life....

I was staying the night in the Premier Inn next door and really looking forward to a meal in this restaurant. I haven't been to a Harvester for years but have fond memories of good food and service. Sadly, I was really disappointed by the experience. On arrival, I was told there was a 30 min wait for a table and no bar food due to the kitchen being busy. I was happy to wait and settled down with a glass of wine. After waiting 35 mins a family of 3 who hadn't booked arrived, they were immediately shown to a table. When I complained about my wait, they did show me to a table and apologised but it lacked cutlery and condiments and it was a table for 4, being on my own I would have preferred to have been on a smaller table and there was plenty of space When my food arrived, the corn on the cob was cold. It was replaced after I bought this to their attention. Once I'd finished eating, it took 20 mins to get the bills and a further 10 mins to pay. If I stay in the Premier Inn again, I won't be visiting this restaurant. A thoroughly disappointing experience.

This is our second visit to the Bell and Barge. On both occasions we have enjoyed good value, tasty food. The special lunchtime menu offers fixed price two or three course meals, both include unlimited access to the salad bar. I enjoyed a pint of draught Peroni and my wife had what she claimed to be the best soda and lime she’s enjoyed anywhere. We were served by Louisa D. Louisa was very efficient and interacted with us in a pleasant and thoroughly professional manner. Thank you Louisa.

This evening me and my family would just like to say how lovely our meal was tonight , our waitress was justice she was so lovely , very polite and catered to all our needs. Wonderful food especially the ribs, and the staff are very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is great and perfect for either quiet meal or for a family. We have been coming here for over 20 years and we still love it.
