The Hansom Cab Pub in Luton

Whenever we visit our friends in Luton, a visit to the Hansom Cab is a must. The food is always delicious, the portions are so big and the beer selection is huge for me as a German. There would be one more ale out of the barrel. Carling, Foster, or the Spanish beers all taste like water ;) Don't forget to reserve on the weekend. See you next time. Cheers.

Didn't eat I have just had a lunch very good value and the staff were very professional well worth a visit in the week

Very friendly staff and good value.

Turned up without booking managed to get seated, bar staff were friendly, ordered drinks and food for table of 6 all food was good all served hot and together. Quality of food was good price of food is good .. really xant go wrong with this pub for a family meal out ..

Went for the first time yesterday. Party of five and food was excellent. Everyone one of us was happy with the meals value for money and going back again today to try the roast dinner. 5* to the chefs

Nice pub. Lovely staff. The standard you expect from green king. Clean tables, plenty of seating. All in all, an enjoyable evening. Well worth the visit.

Went to the Thursday night quiz and was a laugh and good fun. Great atmosphere and great service. Daughter lost her expensive handbag with all her important possessions. Came back the next day fearing the worst to find the amazing staff had found it and had kept it safe. Honesty goes along way and definitely would recommend and will 100% be returning again. 😍

Friendly atmosphere, tidy, but the Guinness is always unpleasant and food often unavailable.

Jus had a Couple of pints but was 👍 🍻

A very good evening was had last night with great food and great atmosphere.... the staff were very helpful and all had smiles on there faces ... our servers name was Danielle and she was great with my son made sure he had everything that he wanted. 5 star night

Fantastic pub,went in on sunday,quite busy.However they managed to squeeze us in.Sunday dinner was lovely Will definitely be going back.

First time here, staff so welcoming and friendly. Marked down as 4 because the coffee machine wasn't working and I really fancied a coffee after my meal.

They went out of their way to create a meal that wasn’t on the menu as it was a special occasion for us. All the staff were super friendly and welcoming. Excellent value for money, particularly with some of the mid week deals.

Service very much variable based on who's at the bar. Management are lovely and helpful but other staff less so. We had booked a table but no reserved signs were put out and no effort was made to get us (large party) sat down and the people at our table moved on. Food was OK- fine value for money and came quickly. Would be good if Greene King were in line with similar chains and got online menus. The toilets were absolutely shocking. They have been for a long time despite refurbishments. The toilet floor was centimetres high from a leaky urinal so you had to traipse through a small lake to get to any toilet. Taps didn't have any hot water. Good local except for the toilets and if you want to reserve space for a large party.

Booked a table turned up was told i didn't have a booking snd the woman behind the bar didn't want to see my email So was put sat in the middle of the pub then when I went to order mine and my wife's Sunday roasts was told they had no roasts and a number of other items Not very happy and will defo not be returning to the place First and last time

Ran out of half their menu. staff were apologetic and helpful, even though they had to deal with very rude customers. The vibe seemed a little bit like a weatherspoons for 60 year old aggressive men who hate their wives.

Good menu, very friendly staff, can get a little noisy at times. But a nice place to go.

We normally go here for Sunday lunch as always, delicious and really reasonable £12.99 for two really big Sunday roasts. Also puddings are about £4 or £5. Really good service and friendly staff..I would give them a big 10.

My son wanted to have mac n cheese, so we decided to go Hansom Cab for dinner. AND was not disappointed. We ordered 1kg wings, chicken kebab, fish n chips, and mac n cheese, obviously. The portions were large and generous. This pub has a massive beer garden and plenty of seating inside too. Amazing service included. We will definitely visit again.

Go here often. Can't beat the service, food good and reasonably priced, staff friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Went to celebrate my nephew and my birthdays, has a good play area for the kids, we sat outside, had a good meal and drinks.

Every visit is a pure pleasure, barstaff are so friendly and welcoming, I really struggle to find any reason to leave and go home

We came in for a family meal today 30th, the pub was very neat and tidy, very good customer service, the food was excellent, and was nice and quiet to be able to have a chilled out family meal, also thank you to sam and Nicole!

Was very busy with lots of people who had been drinking all day due to the football. Granddaughter enjoyed the play area

Took an hour today to be served our main meal, BUT it was worth the wait! The food was fantastic, great value for money and the staff were helpful.

Good for a cheap lunchtime meal

Booked a table and were informed prior to visit of shortage of food offerings due to unforeseen circumstances. However we were able to choose something from the menu that was very acceptable.

Unfortunately, I was left waiting to be served for approx 10 minutes while 'regular" customers (staff knew their names) were chatted too and served despite arriving at the bar after me - no apologies given for my long wait

Lovely meal today, wonderful attentiveness from staff especially the blonde waitress who went out of her way to ensure my mum was OK,excellent service and many thanks to who I believe was the manager who went out of his way to open the doors for us,very polite and caring will definitely be returning, wonderful employees

Garden is lovely, and dog friendly. Also a good sized play area at the back for the kids. Food was really nice too and the locals are always friendly.

Cold food. Nothing available on the menu the food lorry didn't not arrive. 12:30 my table with book 4 it would have been nice if they could have text us and told us they had problems with the Menu Who

Not a bad pub, clean etc but waiting 10-15 mins to be served two times just for two pints seems poor..

The Hansom Cab is a nice environment, and very laid back. The frequent quizzes make for a different setting on a Thursday and it's good fun. The staff seem to enjoy themselves and take pride in their work, it was a good evening! The only downside (as with every other pub these days) is the rising cost of Alcohol! The Beers cold and the Shots don't seem watered down. Can't really complain! I'll be back.

I went to this pub for the first time with a friend nearly a month ago and found the food to be very good and the staff to great and attentive. I ordered the 'chip shop platter' which was devine 👍🏾

I have been drinking in The Hansom Cab for 53 years I think this pub is the best it's ever been with the newly refurbished- and great staff and brilliant clientelle ..all are polite pleasant and very friendly and honest with my lost wallet etc .. withwithfproperty

Pub was pretty full when we arrived. But still found a table. Ordered our meal and drinks from the bar. Nice, helpful staff. Meals were ordinary pub sort but well cooked and service good. I wouldn't go here for haute cuisine, but family food, excellent array of drinks.

This place has recently been refurbished and its been a wonderful change! The atmosphere and furniture is a lot more modern and dated. This place is really good if you want to have a quick bite to eat or if you want a good portion of your favourite British food! The food has massively improved and the customer service is top notch quality. Will be eating here again!

Nice to visit again . lovely new revamp. Didn't have much to offer food wise as no supplies. Was lovely food, staff friendly and was v clean. Definitely go back
