Nice food, friendly staff. Dog friendly and good size beer garden. Also has events on at the weekends. Relaxed atmosphere and local.

Really gutted, first time in here, ordered chips £2.99. I asked is that all the chips she said yes that’s all you get. Very decieving compared to picture

Had a meal, on St patricks Day, awful - brought out all the meals separately, so we could not eat together, come on this is basic stuff!!! the roasts were tasteless, roast pots rock hard, veg was the same, gravey had the cheapest taste, took a life time for the dinner plates to be collected, we had to put them on the empty table next to us, seemed like not enough staff Come on guys 16+ pounds for a tasteless roast, we wont be returning, i suggest more staff and change your chef

Well that was the smallest stingiest Sunday roast I have ever paid £13 for. The roast potatoes were so tiny the 4 provided was less than one small potato, the extra cauliflower cheese was also very small for £1.50. This was very poor value for money. The whole meal was like a frozen Sunday dinner you would buy in Ice-land for about £2

We were staying in an Airbnb nearby before a flight early next morning and we needed to get some dinner, lovely pub, parking around the back which is pay and display. Lovely welcome, food was absolutely delicious hot and such great value, couldn’t fault it.

I like this place. We head up here once a week for lunch with the dog. We have the seniors menu and the food on there is limited, generously priced, but pleasant nevertheless. If we lived closer we would be here more often without doubt. If you live nearby head down here you shouldn’t be disappointed.

A nice pub, very friendly welcoming staff and a good variety of lagers on tap , havent eaten here other than bar snacks, a good place to start the evening before heading to the Baltistan nearby

We arranged the wake there, after my mum's funeral. The buffet went down a treat. To be honest, it was a great place for celebrating the life of our mum, enjoying chatting and gathering together with family and friends. It was perfect. Thanks, Sam and the staff.

Good food, unfortunately my order came out late and was not what I ordered, they offered to replace but I was in my lunch hour so eat what was in front of me, the manager offered my next meal foc. Just been in again, friendly staff, food arrived quickly and was very nice.

Went with two friends to the Jolly Topers on the 7th Dec and had their turkey roast dinner from the Xmas menu. Really impressed with the meal. Great quality and good value for menu. The staff are always friendly and create a lovely atmosphere.

This is the best pub and/or restaurant on the world! Of course if yours world is Luton 😉. But seriously this is very very good place to go. Good food and alcohol. And prices are very reasonable. Very recommended!

The food is great for the money. The staff are fabulous. It’s our first visit and we will be back-thank you. Don’t worry-our bill was a little high but we eat loads and had lots of drinks 🤣

Food was Freshly Cooked we had the Fish and Chips, Hunters Chicken and can Honestly say we haven’t had better, the Staff were very polite and helpful in fact there service was outstanding 5⭐️ all the way

Visited early evening on a Saturday. Having a quick drink before going on somewhere else. Carpark at rear, access to side of pub, didn't know it was there previously. Large, semi- covered outdoor area. Relaxed, local pub setting. It appeared dog friendly. Good supply of drinks, friendly service at bar. Table was very unstable, hold onto your drinks. Not that busy, I would definitely consider going back.

My wife and I have been going to the Jolly Topers fortnightly (now weekly) since July this year. Whilst we'd been years ago the pub has definitely really changed for the better. The atmosphere is fantastic and we've end up chatting to various people each visit. It is family friendly, dog friendly pub with amazing staff who are always friendly and polite. The beer cellar is good with constant guest ales with a large range of staples including GK IPA, GK IceBreaker (very nice), Beavertown Neck Oil and range of lagers as well. My wife was particularly enamoured of the Lilley's cider range available during the summer. We recently decide to come down for a family meal on a Friday as we wanted a break from cooking and didn't fancy a take away. The food is really good standard pub style menu and a kids menu available as well. I can highly recommend the cheese and bacon burger as it's done with smash burger patties. Amazing!

It's good, larger beer garden now

My husband & I have been going to the Jolly Topers on a semi-regular basis since July. The atmosphere is great, we end up chatting to various people each visit. The beer selection is good, hubby especially enjoys the Ice-Breaker ale. Loved the Lilley's cider range available during the summer. Food is fab too, especially the burgers! It is family friendly, dog friendly and has amazing staff, who are always friendly & polite.

Great pub pop in for something to eat or a glass of wine, friendly staff. ( it was) Bonus Dog Friendly or so I thought visiting today Saturday 28th October Got asked to move twice first table we sat at same table as last weekend with grandkids & dog, staff even gave dog treats, 1 week later dogs not allowed on carpet , could we move, fine not a problem. Moved to front of bar, 2 drinks in 5.30pm same lady came over, could you drink up table reserved for quiz night, doesn't even start till 7pm. This is rude,happy to hug people that came in who knew her. We regularly drink in this pub....think we will go to King William in future.

Absolutely shameful,barely no staff,no manger on site food was ok but won’t be returning as some of the staff can’t be bothered and overpriced beers

We come back to this pub for drinks, sometimes to eat. Pet friendly which is nice. Some lady things available in women’s lavatories. Spacious with plenty of seats outside in the garden and a good view of the road in front of the pub.

Regular Monday night quiz with Sam in charge. Good friendly banter, running jokes “can you spell that?” Everyone else trying to out score the blind assisted team “the moles”. Welcoming new teams and all raising funds for McMillan x

We had the offer on 2 mains which was excellent value for money. Food was lovely, staff happy and friendly and service was really good. We have visited before and will definitely visit again.

Came out for some pub grub and staying in Luton overnight before flying. Pleasantly surprised by the food, service and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

Decided to eat at Jolly Topers pub - food was great . Shortly after arriving a customer fell and had a knee injury. An ambulance was called and was advised it would be an 8hoyr wait in a cold pavement. The staff at Jolly Topers, Dave, Devon and Kate rallied the men in the pub and got them to lift the injured person into back of Kates car so she could take him to hospital instead of awaiting an ambulance. They didn’t have to do this so a huge well done for your excellent customer care and service . FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

I took my granddaughter for a meal it was very good service and the staff were very professional and kind . Definitely recommend a visit.

Nice friendly pub, I waited, having a good coffee, while garage doing an MOT on my car. Not many people there (it was 11am), but great service.

Its a really nice establishment and the food is good, vibe is great and the staff was extremely kind. There was a gentleman handling our orders and he was really vibrant and pleasent, definitely will come again.

I have not been to the Jolly Topers for food before. It was a great evening. The food was lovely, the service was excellent and it was a great atmosphere. I would definitely recommend going there. We visited around 6 pm until 8.30 pm. There were plenty of tables available at that time. The Pub was busy and the staff were very friendly.

This pub is great. The staff are always very welcoming and quick. I didn't have food on this occasion but have thoroughly enjoyed it when I've been before. Definitely recommend to anyone thinking about going

The garden was lovely but I was waiting a long time at the bar and when a man appeared he wasn't very nice. He was very abrupt when I ordered my food and seemed aggressive. He refused to give me his name but he was a big build with a long beard. I was very disappointed with the whole experience and I will not be returning to this venue!

Really nice place to be, for a quiet drink, food or a party. Decent car park too

Food was ok, the heinz sauce bottle was disgustingly filthy where it had been repeatedly refilled with a cheaper alternative. The toilets are woefully abysmal. All of the toilet seats were ridiculously wobbly and the soap dispenser didn’t work. The taps are also hard to operate. Apparently, the gents toilet is the same, according to my husband. This is a great little pub with some amateurish mistakes being made. Shame really.

Staff were all exceptional, Holly got my steak changed and followed up with excellent customer service, fresh water, dessert etc James and Connor were smiles and helpful personified

The place is really nice, clean and friendly. The food menu is quite limited but the whole atmosphere of the place is great. The staff is awesome and they have many many different programs and events.

just flew in from australia and wanted a genuine english pub experience. this pub nailed it. outstanding service and food. impossible vegan burger is so good, so is the chicken chillie and the cheese burgers. exceptional staff and amazing food. 100% recommend, best everything.

I came here for the first time today with My Mum for lunch.. Had the most delicious vegan meatball sub. Was so nice, lovely people too.

Myself and my Sister's (six in total!) had a lovely lunch at Jolly Toppers today 😊.. Very pleasant... We're now at an age where our appetites can't face a full meal, the Senior menu was perfect for us both food and price wise.. Sam made sure we had everything we wanted, and a good time was had by all.. We'll be back..

We came here by chance last Sunday and we all absolutely loved it , staff are amazing friendly and helpful we all had roast dinner and it was fantastic, my partner is vegetarian said best roast dinner he had ever had in a restaurant , great please and we will be back

Last visit disappointing, this is my local. Bar lady made mistake with my drinks order. With friends and we changed our drinks in my round, but was served previous round, easy mistake I guess, but then she wanted me to pay extra for her mistake. The bar man acting manager supervisor sorted it and gave us a free drink. This regular bar lady does seem to have a bit of an attitude and can seem quite rude at times....

Great pub, we live nearby so it’s a favourite for us . Great food & good range of drinks and such good value for money with friendly staff - we always bring our 2 dogs who also love going and get lots of fuss - what’s not to love 🐕💕

Really nice evening. Food was GREAT. Excellent value. Been a few times over last few months ( stopped going for a while in 2022 as it just seemed to be getting worse every visit) but over last few months its obvious the change in management has made a huge positive impact. I lovely this place especially on a Sunday. Xylem little pub. With quite a bit of character. Lovely atmosphere through the whole establishment. Staff are friendly and helpful and always great you with a smile. Brilliant variety of drinks and food is lovely. Can’t fault this place.

Went into the Jolly Toppers today for a meal the food was lovely and the bar staff were very friendly and welcoming the real ale was great, lovely big car park at the rear and seating area out the front. I would definitely recommend this pub for food and drinks and friendly staff I will definitely be going back for more visits keep up the great work.

Monday nights….. the new out out without the kids in tow… a few drinks and a bite to eat - the ‘small plates’ are perfect and the choice is excellent. The quiz is well run & excellently hosted by Sam. It’s only £1 per person...

Truly awful pub. The beer is terrible, they quite obviously don’t clean out their pipes. Tried the Madri,Moretti and Peroni on tap and they were all vile. Bar staff seem nice and friendly but the landlady is quite possibly the most miserable landlady I’ve ever...

Called in to this pub on our way home to Hitchin. Great food from the restaurant served with a smile by friendly lady. Very enjoyable few hours spent there with friendly staff and good vibe surroundings.

I went with family, the curry sauce was shocking and when asked to make it again because it didn't look appetising they said that that's how it's made and didn't remake it. The lasagne tasted only of red wine and I only ate a few bites and couldn't finish it. Overall I was upset with the service and food as previous times I've been there it has been enjoyable. I am greatly disappointed and left still hungry.

Really nice beer garden, and great for people with dogs as they have a whole dog menu. Unfortunately we went for food and there were no vegan options which were gluten free. Disappointing. In 2023 you would think they would be more accommodating.
