Lovely lunch, Conor was attentive

Went to see the Pub as was recommended to me by one of my good friends. To be perfectly honest, I didn’t have huge expectations as it’s Luton area but to my surprise this Pub felt like completely out of everything I know about Luton. Building is little bit dated but all that disappeared once I got inside. Extremely friendly, happy and professional team lead by what I was told New Manager. Food was delicious, temperature of the steak was perfect and the overall atmosphere was just brilliant. Well done to the current team and manager. It’s a first pub in Luton that I’ll definitely come back to.

I have an injury broken shoulder and arm. so find it hard to cook I took my grandchildren to eat in the pub garden we posted games it was children friendly The staff not only carried my drink and food to me but cut up my food so i could eat it more easily

In my opinion GK are missing an opportunity as a locals pub for wet trade between 4 & 7 pm.The beers and lagers are highly priced and some customers will look at alternatives because of this which is a shame.

I am extremely satisfied. The bar offers a wide range of drinks, delicious food and friendly service. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly and helpful, which contributes to the overall positive experience.

Tasty food, rich variety of menu options, friendly staff, and overall the place has a very pleasant atmosphere.

Popped in for one quick drink and toilet break on solo journey, must have stayed 10 minutes and get a £170 parking fine? They say unless you register the vehicle at reception, which honestly was not known or seen, then you get threatened with county court judgement and debt collection bailiff. Come on guys, show some common sense here please and bring back the spirit of a quick pub visit in the U.K. very disappointing

The Jolly Toppers is a place I would not recommend. The wait time for food was an hour and a half, even though the pub was empty. The staff was rude, and I witnessed people doing drugs in the toilets. The toilets were also dirty. Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience.

Ordered food and paid however they only bought half of it out and when queried they tried to blame the chef for not coming in when in fact they forgot to put it through. Very poor service

A very pleasant afternoon with some good friends, and excellent real ales.

Food was really nice and the staff working there (Holly and Conor) were very welcoming and polite.

Went in for a quick pint but lager tasted funny and felt sick after leaving, toilets filthy and puddle on floor from leaking pipes?

A brilliant pub, great service. There is a lovely atmosphere, it is very dog friendly. The pub quiz on Mondays is excellent.

Hi Iam a pub landlord I took my family to the public house today 2 bar man on one off them is a rude member of staff name Sam any way the other guy served me we ordered drinks and food spent round about 130 pounds in all then the rude one Sam had the cheek to arks my 20 year old daughter for I'd after we paid the bill apparently the reason for this is my daughter stopped by the pub once with friends to who this Sam kept looking at her top half and she told him where to go so lady's and young people by pass this public house the man is rude and should not be behind a bar I will take this further with brewery

I was for a short stay in Uk and havesearched some traditional English food. The Jolly Toppers was mentioned from my friend as good place to go, and it was true. Service was very friendly and the food delicious. Fish and chips was delicious, beer was good, and Mac and Cheese was also very tasty.

Small portions for the price especially on chips. The service was outstanding. The lady behind the bar was exceptional. Shame I didn't get her name. I haven't been to this pub for about 25 years, but I look forward to visiting again!

Lovely traditional pub . Have had lovely food every time. Most recently my husband tried their award winning pie ( beef and ale) superb. Great pastry , filled with tasty ingredients. He had it with chips washed down with a pint of speckled hen . I had hunters chicken which was also very tasty. Our friend had scampi with chips, and mushy peas which he enjoyed. Well done Holly and all the staff.

The pulled pork tacos are excellent, so is the service and Monday quiz! Chicken wings are good too, atmosphere friendly.

Had a brilliant time for my dad’s birthday. We were served by James he was absolutely amazing so helpful and kind . Going that extra Mile to make sure my children were happy and content (offering colouring pencils to keep them occupied) bringing out my dads cake and singing . The food was delicious, my husband is very picutluar about his steak and it was cooked absolutely spot on all our meals were great . Thank you so much we will definitely be back again . It’s my friends local so when we catch up it’s nice to have a bit of lunch and a drink it’s always good food and good value for money the staff are always friendly and polite

Food was average, two of us had burgers both were black/burnt, others had gammon which was really chewy/lots of gristle. Had to wait a while for food to arrive & no update from staff advising why the food was taking so long to arrive, there was one other table dining so it wasnt busy at all.

Stopped for a long lunch with an old friend. We dined, we drank, we nearly danced…. A great pub with friendly staff. Katie was excellent

we had a nice Christmas dinner until I found z long hair in my main meal the disappointing part was that my son walked past the bar and heard the staff speaking about me saying that I miraculously found a hair in my dinner as if I was lying .I didn't ask for another meal or money off the bill so why would I lie.this spoilt the meal

I was meeting 5 friends for a pre Christmas get together. On arrival the staff were welcoming helpful and even though the pup was fairly busy our food order did not take an usual length of time to be saved and when it arrived it was presented well and hot. The whole atmosphere during our visit was friendly and welcoming and we all felt comfortable.

Jolly Topers was our choice for the annual Christmas lunch for our badminton club. Holly was superb is helping with the booking, and flexible enough to make changes as necessary. There was sufficient free parking. The Festive Menu was good value for money. A small corner of the pub was set up and decorated for our Christmas lunch. The service was good and the food was tasty. Everyone in our group seemed to have a wonderful time. Thank you Holly and all the team at the Jolly Topers.

The atmosphere was welcoming and warm , all the staff were friendly and polite . We had our works Christmas get together here , the food was most enjoyable .

Came on a Thursday evening for a couple of pints and something to eat. Food was lovely; a burger and gammon. Erin served us drinks, she was very nice and polite. James served our food, very helpful, brought us everything we needed. Will definitely come again soon.

I ordered the jerk chicken and rice meal, really looking forward to it. However, when I took a bite, I immediately knew something was wrong—the chicken was rock solid. It wasn’t just undercooked or not hot; it was completely frozen! Shocked, I took it to the counter and spoke to the chef, who just smirked. My friend ordered the same dish, and when she cut into her food, it was also freezing cold. While we did get our money back, serving frozen chicken is completely unacceptable, especially from an established restaurant. No one took my details, nor was I offered a follow-up call. To make matters worse, my partner, who is 8 months pregnant, was about to eat her meal until I took the first bite. I’m grateful for that, as it could have caused serious risks. This kind of service and food quality is just appalling.

I became a fan of the Jolly Topers. There are lots of food and drinks options, I am vegetarian and their vegetarian menu is delicious. The prices are unbeatable and the most important point for me is that it is a dog friendly pub. The service is amazing, Holly is a wonderful host. Thank you for a great experience.

Great pub with friendly staff. Many food options available, with dietary restrictions catered to. Beer garden is lovely in the summer. Very cosy in the winter. Monday night's quiz is always a good laugh.

Had a great quiz evening! Fun and competitive too. He works hard to encourage involvement and that adds to the positive atmosphere!

I dropped some friends off at Luton airport and knew the traffic going home would be bad, so decided to stop off for a pint and a meal. Both were excellent.

Have been coming for some time since Kate took over always great hot food and service.Was worried when Kate said they would have covering manager in,but Scot you have done so well with keeping the standards the food and service excellent and I recognize the Jolly Toppers to anyone.Great friendly lunch.Thank you Scot and Sam

We often visit this pub on Mondays for the quiz and a meal, and it's always a great time. The quiz is just £1 to enter, with all proceeds going to charity. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and it's dog-friendly, with a special menu for our furry friends—definitely a bonus!

Great Dog-friendly pub, excellent service and great food! Amazing service from staff, very attentive and you can feel they are passionate about their jobs! I had one of their new burgers the Philly cheese burger and it was incredible! Highly recommended

What a lovely pub! We went to the Topers for catch up and wasn’t disappointed. Great selection of gins and reasonably priced food.

Although the food fell below a average standard and the price certain doesn’t reflect what you would expect .. but it is a lovely pub & has the beer garden to enjoy a drink .. staff were friendly & provided a good service .. the food was undercooked & the meat was so little that I left hungry .. overdid the vegetable portions to cover the lack of meat .. I will visit again but not to eat

Went on Friday for birthday celebration and the landlord was extremely rude to me and my friends. Sarcastic and belligerent. Would never give him my money again! We spent an awful lot of money aswell as a group

I've been going to the topers for years on and off and we went for a birthday celebration with work friends on Friday night and spent quite alot of money with food and drinks all night but I won't go again! The landlord was sooo rude to us several times first was his sarcastic comment whilst at the bar I said you could do with some help mate and his response was 'Christ you're observant' in a very sarcastic manner that was not called for! Then later he told us to shut up as it was near 11 and we were outside. again, there is no need for the rudeness . He said to one of my friends, "Do u think you've made the wrong life choice?" he really shouldn't be in the job if he feels like this. He won't be getting my hard earned money again!

Scott and the team were absolutely exceptional! Really worth a visit! Everyone we dealt with was very attentive and made sure we felt looked after.

One of the best pubs in Luton. Dog friendly. Unfortunately, usually very long queues to get a drink.

Staff was nice ..very understaffed as only one server but two or 3 men walking around behind her not doing much but walk past .. had a Swiss burger...withing 20 mins the Burger was coming out the other end....Will not be ordering food again. But the kids had fun playing with dogs in pub

Had a couple of Guinness zero while I waited for my car to be serviced. An enjoyable hour spent sitting in the sun with a beer.

Lovely pub and grub! Try the salt & pepper chilli chicken which is new to the menu. Absolutely delicious with the sauce. Friendly staff and great ales. Would definitely recommend this pub.

Absolutely fantastic place. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with our experience. Unfortunately didn't have any garlic bread but they certainly made up for it with alternative foods. This is our first time visiting but certainly not our last. Thank you all

Really nice beer garden, and great for people with dogs as they have a whole dog menu. Food is good but very limited gluten free options. Even a burger bun option would be welcomed.

First and last time I will go ther to be fair U have one lady saying thers no burgers to order burgers then she flips a card up with 2 burgers they have to order yeah the £12.49 burgers were available 🤔anyways paid it lads where hungry myself and husband had the roast dinner duo meat yeah meat looks and tastes as it's been took straight from sandwich filler isle and warmed up veg U got was carrots peas brockley mix yeah it's supposed to be cooked properly nearly broke my tooth roasties u get with it r tiny diced frozen roasties around 5 on ya plate then yorkishire puddings like a said frozen i buy same ones at iceland for my dogs weekly roast dinner stuffing was not nice at all u got a small and i mean small gravy boat for gravy yeah diddnt quiet cover a dinner nearly £13 a dinner really did expect a good dinner glasses had lipstick on all our glasses expensive ended up leaving won't go back and won't be recommending 👎

Really gutted, first time in here, ordered chips £2.99. I asked is that all the chips she said yes that’s all you get. Very decieving compared to picture

Had a meal, on St patricks Day, awful - brought out all the meals separately, so we could not eat together, come on this is basic stuff!!! the roasts were tasteless, roast pots rock hard, veg was the same, gravey had the cheapest taste, took a life time for the dinner plates to be collected, we had to put them on the empty table next to us, seemed like not enough staff Come on guys 16+ pounds for a tasteless roast, we wont be returning, i suggest more staff and change your chef

Well that was the smallest stingiest Sunday roast I have ever paid £13 for. The roast potatoes were so tiny the 4 provided was less than one small potato, the extra cauliflower cheese was also very small for £1.50. This was very poor value for money. The whole meal was like a frozen Sunday dinner you would buy in Ice-land for about £2

We were staying in an Airbnb nearby before a flight early next morning and we needed to get some dinner, lovely pub, parking around the back which is pay and display. Lovely welcome, food was absolutely delicious hot and such great value, couldn’t fault it.

I like this place. We head up here once a week for lunch with the dog. We have the seniors menu and the food on there is limited, generously priced, but pleasant nevertheless. If we lived closer we would be here more often without doubt. If you live nearby head down here you shouldn’t be disappointed.

We arranged the wake there, after my mum's funeral. The buffet went down a treat. To be honest, it was a great place for celebrating the life of our mum, enjoying chatting and gathering together with family and friends. It was perfect. Thanks, Sam and the staff.
