Lovely spot for lunch to watch the planes if you have a couple of days on your hands, service was incredibly slow despite it not being particularly busy. Would recommend getting your order in the day before! When the food finally arrived almost an hour after ordering it was overpriced rubbish. If we had been warned it would be been over an hour for a cheese toastie and a dismal fry up we wouldn’t have bothered.

Ok but you need to order about 40 mins before breakfast arrives so if you are in a hurry or have a plane to catch then breakfast elsewhere

I met with a client who is a very good friend at this cafe yesterday lunchtime and we both had a thoroughly enjoyable bite to eat: their sausages are excellent, and are one of the very, very few cafes or restaurants where I choose this option. I cannot comment on the negative reviews in the last few years about the rudeness or unprofessional service, since we were served immediately by a very courteous young lady and our lunch and coffees were delivered to our outside table within 10 minutes as we enjoyed the flights landing and departing. I have not been here since 2018/2019, but will very happily return when I am next in the area.

I asked the serving assistant if any of the cakes were gluten free. She indicated the chocolate brownies with walnut topping. Two hours later I collapsed with severe reaction not having eaten anything else since my normal breakfast or after the brownie. The brownie either was not made with gluten free flour or it was contaminated by touching other cakes.

Two hopeless girls behind the counter seemed more interested in chatting to each other rather than doing their job and service took forever, even making a decent cup of coffee was beyond their ability and it was absolutely ghastly and one of the worst I have ever had anywhere, cakes were pretty awful and so sickly as they use that horrible artificial cream instead of the real thing. Never want to come here again.

This was my first visit to the Cafe, although I have lived down the road for 33 years. First impressions are lasting ones, they say........ My first impression of this eatery was of one that had seen better days, the interior being a little 'tired'. However, its the food you go for, not the decor, but their breakfast menu is rather limited. The 'Hangar Breakfast' is fine, but there is no larger option or a smaller one, except bacon rolls etc. My partner said the coffee was excellent, and the tea was good, so they scored high on that front. The breakfasts we had were OK - nothing special, but they did the job. What really disappointed me was the total lack of any attempt to take contact details of the customers. Current Covid-19 procedures for 'eat-in' restaurants & cafes require this to be recorded, to assist in future 'track-and-trace' efforts, should these be necessary. There is a 'one-way' system to keep incoming and outgoing patrons separate, which was completely ignored by the cycling fraternity who make up a considerable proportion of the patronage here. They all just steamed in via the 'exit', along with their cycles. Breakfast surrounded by aircraft on the apron is fine, but breakfast surrounded by other people's cycles leaning up against every available piece of vertical furniture is not my kind of place. Although we would probably eat here again if we had business at the airport, it sadly won't be going on to our list of regular breakfast venues.

Shame about Louise B's experience, I don't think we'd want to go back if we had the same thing. We visited a couple of weeks ago for one of our irregular visits. Bacon rolls chips and coffee / hot chocolate up to their normal standards low cost good value food. Some time after our last visit about 10 days ago my wife discovered she had lost a little wallet full of vouchers, and has been racking her mind trying to think where she could have lost them. She remembered the Hanger Cafe. As a real long shot I phoned to ask if it had been found, whoever answered the phone checked with everyone around but no one knew about them as I rather expected, however about 10 minutes later we got a call back saying that one of the other members of staff did remember it so we thankfully popped back to collect it and had our usual while we were there. For us the staff had been very helpful and polite I hadn't even left a phone number when I asked about the lost wallet so they made the effort to track us down. Service can be slow in busy times as food is cooked to order (There is a note on counter to this effect)

Went to the hanger cafe this Saturday morning for a breakfast and a chat with a friend. There must of been 35-40 cyclists there!! Forget having a chat with the volume of noise they were making shouting and screaming to each other. There were two empty tables with no seats, I asked a member of staff for something to sit on, his reply was the cyclists have taken all the seats!! I wouldn’t mind so much if they were proper customers but on average they were buying a cup of tea or coffee(no food). I saw about six customers walk in then walk straight out when they saw the queues to get served, no seating and the noise. It’s a shame as the food is good and this is pushing proper food eating customers away.

I visited here 3 times with my 80 year old mother to arrange an event following my 80 year old fathers flight from the flying experience next door around Remembrance Day. 3 times we visited to explain our hopes and expectations and ultimately to pay a deposit for food and a place to eat it.Purely by chance I called on the day to be told it was an unreasonable request (why didn’t they tell us???????) and that we were to take our chances to get table and seating - we’d paid in excess of £250!,, My 80 year old mother was ridiculed by the Manager (not Kim[ and disgracefully by the younger staff who told her to move tables even though they had been paid for!!! All in all distressing, humiliating; upsetting and embarrassing for an 80;year old trying to pay for an event for her husband of 6O years. Disgraceful to the extreme! The staff made an admission of fault but this was after .30 80 year olds on Remembrance Day had arrived!, hideous! Can I say that if I were to be offered any recompense I would 100% refuse. NOT about money - about treating customers with respect and NOT allowing young teenage staff to abuse 80 year olds. So appalling it is painful to mention - shame on you Hangar Cafe.If our requests were not acceptable or appropriate we would have simply booked elsewhere - to be told so on the day of the event was appalling behaviour - DO NOT BOOK here!!!

Been here several times and the food and ambiance pretty good. Went last Friday 9th and it was very quiet. Immediately told we'd have a 25 minute wait with a take it or leave it attitude! Decided to wait as we had two smallish kids and they wanted to seethe planes. Waited 20 minutes for our pre-paid coffees and collected them myself in the end. No apology other than to be told they were short staffed and were turning people away saying there was no hot food. I counted 4 people in the kitchen. Eventually the breakfasts arrived.Really not good value for money, very greasy, streaky bacon and a very greasy hash brown. The sausages were however, superb and can be highly recommended. This cafe is often full as there is so much going on at Fairoaks. I popped in for a pre-flight coffee and, as so often, the cafe was full; no surprise however as a generous and well-priced menu, coupled with great coffee and friendly staff tends to keep punters happy up and down the land. It's a great place to sit and watch the planes take off and land and it feels like a perfect slice of Britishness being here! Its been a while since Mr Crow ate here - always a favorite place to wait whilst having car serviced - normally lots of interesting going on's in the airport and great food.Todays visit for breakfast had lots of view but food was not up to much. Mr Crow suspects a change of ownership or a different accountant. Lots of cost cutting in the ingredients.Normally, Mr Crow would still be eating a Big Breakfast, but the big breakfast served today was far from big. Mushrooms were probably a couple of small ones cut very thinly, a couple of narrow strips of bacon that had probably once been one rasher but cut into strips. If I had wanted eggs to be served as they had been, I could have gone to McDonalds instead. I think there was a tomato in there somewhere. The only things of any substance were a couple of sausages. Bread was luke warm and probably out of a bag. Even the earl grey tea had been poorly presented in a mug, with milk added whilst teabag was still in there. Had to ask for serviettes.Thankfully the cycling crowd had not taken over today and with seating outside, plentry of room inside - just that most of the condiments had made themselves outside.Normally a bi-annual indulgent treat, but after todays visit, all very average (below par for bacon and mushrooms) at above average price.

Attempted to go to the cafe on a number of occasions but everytime I walk in its flooded with cyclists - I wouldn't mind so much if they actually spent some money but the majority of them don't buy anything, at close a cup of tea. They are just using it as a stopping point to chat about cycleing. If your thinking of going on a Saturday or Sunday morning forget it you won't even get a seat. The Hangar Café, between Chobham and Ottershaw on the Chertsey Road / Chobham Road at Fairoaks Airport, Chobham GU24 8HU, England, is a good interesting place to get a small meal or breakfast or any other refreshments. Used a lot by airport staff, ramblers, walkers and cyclists. The location is great, right next to the airport which allows you views from the veranda of small aircraft and helicopters coming and going. The Café is reasonably tolerant of muddy ramblers and dogs ( it has indoor and outdoor Café eating facilities ), car parking facilities are great, but unless you are very local, you will need a car to get here.Food at this Café by my taste preferences is a good quality average - prices reasonable to a little on the high side for what it is, but with a great variety of menu from Full English to almost everything else as well as lunchtime food. Visited today for breakfast having been regulars prior to leaving the area several years ago.Delighted to find the same staff, value & quality we had previously appreciated.Excellent breakfast, well cooked and with quality ingredients. (Minor niggle - wish they stocked butter rather than [or in addition to] spread.)The best and most reliable sit down breakfast venue in the area.

Always busy, excellent value and friendly staff. Children love watching the activity on the airport and nothing too much trouble, whether cutting a toastie in half in the kitchen for two toddler plates or variation from the board. Always fresh, highly recommend.

Fairoaks Airport combines the executive jet and the private enthusiast with tiny single engine two-seaters up to leer jets and helicopters. The Hangar café allows you to be in among the planes with tea or coffee and cake or for the bigger appetite you can have one of their great baked potatoes with a choice of fillings or may be a salad. The braver or more careless could have a full breakfast! Either way, with a bit of luck you can fill your senses with the small airport at the same time.

Hit and miss depending on what you order. The chocolate mud cake and red velvet cake are always a good shout. The muffins are often dry. I've had paninis twice there and twice the contents are cold even when the bread is hot. Biggest bug about this place is they won't buy / serve semi-skimmed milk. Not a particularly comfortable place to sit. They could invest in a few comfy chairs or sofa.

I have ordered two large cakes from this business for separate events. They have both been nothing less then extraordinary and exactly what I asked for; produced in the most skilled and artful way. Both were also a very fair and reasonable price! I have attached photos as proof of there quality ! Thank you la-do-da ! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Seems to be refreshed decor, nice pub, bar man needs to cheer up though, right misery.
