Muffin Break in Surrey Heath

We were treated very badly by one of the staff who gave a really bad look at us. I use to go there alot with friends and family but I will never return there again. You should train your staff to be polite and respectful towards customers.

Amazing food and service - I ordered on deliveroo and, because they didn't have the muffin I ordered, they sent me two of a different one with an apology note attached. Very cute <3

We stopped by today to get something to takeaway. I noticed him holding out the payment device while paying by credit card. The male sales person's hand hygiene was very bad. His nails were long, neglected, and full of dirt under the nails. I regret not returning it. Thinking about those hands, we couldn't consume what we bought. In a business that sells food, you must employ very careful and clean staff. :(

Cakes are good but a bit pricey

AMAZING!!! This place is fantastic and a must visit place if your in Camberley. The place is very clean and tidy, staff are really polite, and friendly, and the Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and Food is amazing!! I cannot praise this place enough!

the muffins have shrunk the price hasn't. service not quite as good as it used to be

It's a great place with a nice selection of food and dessert. My only observations that it's more expensive compared to places like Costa or Starbucks which don't make since. Coffee syrup is almost double the cost as an example

Nice for coffee and a snack, but like a lot of high street coffee shops, it lacks atmosphere and isn't the most cosy place in the world

I Asked for a hot chocolate which showed as including marshmallows & cream but was charged an extra 65p for the cream and when I queried it, I was told they had no marshmallows. I said I should not have been charged for something they couldn't provide but they weren't interested. I made it clear I was not happy and left the shop. I will never go back.

Some of the best muffins, cakes and sandwiches I have ever tried! If you happen to be nearby you have to stop for a quick bite! Highly recommended!

We sadly had to turn around and try another place because there were no vegan cakes here and they charge 60p extra for non-dairy milk which is is absolutely ridiculous. Get with the times, reward people who care for the planet, or at least don't exclude them.

Much like any other coffee shop, but the food was absolutely gorgeous!! Will be back later today for more.....

Delightful & popular Coffee & Cake Cafe in Camberley Town centre, Great choice of Cakes & treats along with good choice of beverages & speciality coffees. Nice atmosphere, good service, along with some nice little touches including the smile from your coffee cup once you have finished up your drink

Lovely little family friendly coffee place with a really good selection of fabulous cup cakes, and marvellous brownies. Hot chocolate and mocca were good, tea also good. Definitely a place to go back to, and far less crowded than Costa!

Our new favourite coffee shop in Camberley - the coffee is great and the staff are friendly and helpful. They bring the coffee and food to you! Love it.

Staff are good, I had a cheese and caramelised onion toasties. There was one slice of cheese which was overpowered by the power onioion. Apart from that the atmosphere was good and staff efficient.

Visit spoilt by loud background music.

I got the chicken wrap with not fresh chicken today 😕 the service couldn't believe it's not fresh, no apologies even.

The first thing I would say is that hygiene is questionable. Me and my wife went in to buy a Terrys Chocolate Orange milkshake after seeing it advertised in the window and we both regret buying it. Went in and was greeted with staff members chatting at the till. Placed my order and the guy serving told the young girl who was making the drinks what we wanted which was the milkshake without cream. The young girl proceeded to make the milkshake and my wife was watching her make the milkshake without washing her hands after making the last drink. The girl whilst making the milkshake for us took out her chewing gum from her mouth and wiped her hand on her apron then carried on making the milkshake (sink was right next to her to wash her hands). The funny thing is the girl looked our way to see if we noticed and my wife was already looking right at her and the girl made no eye contact right after. The girl asked twice if we wanted cream with our milkshake even though she was told at the start by her colleague we did not want cream. The advertised milkshake does not in any way resemble what was served to us (image attached). Very small, it was extremely watery, topped up with milk, doesn't taste anything like Terrys Chocolate Orange and to top it off cost us exactly £5.10. Safe to say it went straight in the bin after we had one sip each. Could have got a Costa which will be bigger and so much nicer for less than what this company charged. I wouldn't recommend purchasing drinks from here and can't trust the staff.

I go there for the Gluten Free Muffins, just wish they had other food options that were gluten free, more variety.

Perhaps it should have been obvious from their name, but the muffins are excellent! I had a banana & walnut muffin, and it was sweet without the denseness or sogginess that many muffins have. Instead it was almost like a cake, and felt like "real" food. Also had a flat white, which was nice, but the muffin stole the show!

They dont do gluten free sandwiches..

Fudge brownies are dry and hard , no soft centre .More expensive than other coffee shops in Camberley.The toilet lock got jammed so l couldn’t get out until someone opened it from the outside .One of the staff said sorry it does happen sometimes .! Why wasn’t it sorted the first time it happened.?

This is a nice little coffee shop and the cappuccino I had was good (really pleased they have dairy alternatives available) but what really lets it down is the complete lack of choice for people with a gluten intolerance/allergy. Out of all the delicious looking food available, the only gluten free item was a muffin. This seems really shortsighted for a relatively new coffee shop because most places now have a good selection of gluten free items available and when you consider the number of people who have issues with gluten, it seems ludicrous that they haven't made allowances. I would not return here unless they added a good selection of gluten free options.

Literal dead fly in my drink. Absolutely disgusting and vile. A shame, the food was pretty tasty.

Went in on Tuesday morning with my son to grab a coffee and a muffin, the staff were not friendly, no greeting, no smiling, then my son asked me to get some water after we paid for the coffe and muffin, I said OK and asked politely to have a bottle of water at room temperature, the staff went to bring it but entire time that he was behind the counter and then went to bring the water he was on his phone, then without eye contact just passed the water and that's it. I said thank you with no reply welcome or thank you . Definitely not returning again.

Ok some of the food was bit hard the muffins were yummy though and coffee was amazing

I ordered a cake through online. When I went to pick up they said they haven't received an order after showing the order confirmation email then they make excuse that they didn't received through head office. Whatever the excuse they ruined my plan I am not happy with the way they misguided me. Muffin Break online department needs to improve.

Very nice and friendly staff, food is nice,but toastie could have been hotter. Milkshakes are very yum. Only thing, a bit pricy, £20 for two toasties and two shakes.

Lacking professionalism, courtesy and service. Open at the time you state online and at the front of the store. 30 minutes late makes a big difference for those on the way to work. If you make eye contact with a customer at the door, try to inform them immediately rather than chat for a further 10 mins?

The cakes and muffins are huge and really, really good; we couldn't finish ours even though we really wanted to! The Biscotti milkshake was delicious. The staff serving were friendly and helpful and we would definitely go back.

I’ve been here a handful of times so far and I think I’m getting addicted, needless to say 😝. Everything I’ve tried so far blows me away and makes me happy to know that this is my local cafe. I’m quite particular when it comes to food and cakes, places like costa and pret just bore me and is not worth my money..but these guys have smashed it with their food, service, and branding. Can’t pick out single fault. Just wonderful! Keep it up!

Just tried muffin break for the first time very impressed. We ordered Breakfast bagle/ sweet chilli wrap/ cappuccinos and chocolate chip muffin all fresh and very tasty

Coffee, cakes and savouries the same high standard you find in every Muffin Break, but the service in this branch was quite slow & not because they were busy. The store was pretty quiet. If you want to see a busy coffee shop running efficiently try Muffin Break in Epsom, the coffee will be the same (but you'll get it faster) ☕️

Popped in on a Saturday afternoon with the family, after deciding to go to a smaller coffee shop (rather than the usual Costa's). Drinks are very small for the money and the toilets hadn't appeared to be cleaned in a long time. The only positive was the friendliness of the staff, which saved the outlet from a terrible rating.

Popped in for a coffee and muffin on a Saturday and have to say it was superb. The girl that made our drinks did them perfectly, best coffee in camberley by far. Relaxing environment and superb food and drinks, well done Muffin Break.

We think the quality of everything is good but, importantly to us, they clear and clean the tables so quickly it's a joy to watch. They also sweep the floor so you're not walking through other folks mess. Well done Muffin Break, Camberley.

Really nice cake, especially the Duffin. The service was super slow though, there were four staff members behind the till and only one person serving, one person was preparing delivery bags and no idea what the other two were doing but there was a big queue behind me and nobody was taking orders and only one person seemed to be taking the orders and getting them ready

My daughter and I visited yesterday, something we nearly always do when on a shopping trip in Camberley. Unfortunately it was not a good experience None of the staff were wearing masks, one young lady had her hair dangling all over the place and not once did we see anyone wash their hands, all of this I conveyed to the manager. His response was to say it wasn't compulsory for them to wear masks even though all the customers had them on in the queue and while moving around the cafe. As someone who has worked in a healthcare setting throughout the pandemic I believe the least this manager and his staff could do is protect their customers by the simple wearing of a mask, and basic hand hygiene. Needless to say I will not be visiting again and suggest that anyone who wants to stay safe thinks twice about using this cafe until these things have been rectified.

I was Christmas shopping with my sister today but had come out without having lunch. Spotted the yummy looking sandwiches from the door and got a delicious brie and cranberry panini. Not many places do those without bacon and I love the combination of flavours but no longer eat meat. Friendly and efficient staff. Great experience. The cakes all looked amazing too so I'll be back.

I went to this coffee shop yesterday and once I placed my order and paid, I was told it would be brought to me. I heard somebody coughing.in the staff area. My food and drink arrived by a staff member member not wearing a mask. I didn't see any of the staff wearing masks. I could see the lady who had brought my food, at the till serving customers in between her continuous coughing in front of customers and food. I called the other lady who had served me at the till, to ask if the other lady had done a Covid test. She said "It's only a cold" implying she had not done one or knew if she had Covid or not. Then the coughing lady was spoken to and she went to the back of the shop and got a mask. SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN WEARING IT FROM THE START OF HER SHIFT.

It is really hard to make tasteless muffins... However they have done a great job! Both muffins I have ordered were really tasteless and really disappointing.. I won't recommend this place. However the atmosphere in the coffee place was awesome and nicely decorated but that was all.

Ordered 2 bacon rolls, flat white and a banana milkshake for delivery. Fast service and the coffee and shake were good but the bacon rolls were really horrible. 2 tiny slices of some sort of reconstituted, smoked slimey meat. Nothing like the picture on the website depicting a generous portion of proper back bacon with a few crispy bits. Nasty and expensive.

First time at Muffin break with my colleague, Had coffee with some cupcakes and salami Italian flatbread Really impressed with hospitality and food tastes , prices are reasonable ,Staffs are really friendly and professional. Nice and clean , well decorated and organised , Loved to be there , nice place with bigger space I would Recommend you guys to try once for coffee ☕️ It’s worth it .

I love this café, always have amazing muffins, including a couple of gluten free muffins which are amazing! I think the Chocolate and banana is my favourite, so moist and tastes so good. They also make really nice milkshakes too! Highly recommend this cafe to everyone. Of course they sell other cakes, not just muffins. Top marks!

DISGUSTING GAVE ME FOOD POISONING!!! I had a chicken ceaser sourdough baguette, it was the first time eating a chicken ceaser so I thought it was supposed to taste sour, turns out the chicken was just VERY out of date. £5 for an evening on the toilet!!! Several of my friends have also had food poisoning from here, one had had a tuna sandwich which gave him SEVERE food poisoning another had a bacon roll which also gave him food poisoning. The drinks and muffins are okay but honestly I wouldn't risk anything that came from that kitchen!!! The staff are also VERY RUDE AND PUSHY, they will do anything to try to pressure you to buy any of their disgusting food.

Food was horrible, the manager was quite rude to me and his wife threatened me in a foreign language.

All these other reviews are fake,the employee spit in my drink and gave me a used fork.

Muffins were delicious. Views are great, too. However, the women working in the kitchen were preparing the products without gloves. She continued to stir again with the spoon she tasted.This huge hygiene gap.

I find this place ideal for popping in for a coffee whilst out shopping during the week. I may pop in there about twice a week. Never been disappointed. Friendly staff too. Place is clean and tidy. Prices are reasonable. Recommended.

Very well presented cafe and nicely displayed food made us decide it was worth a shot. We stood at counter with 3 staff behind all chatting to each other and ignoring us. After about 30/40 seconds the manager (only one not wearing any branded clothes so guessing he was the manager) did take our order; ham and brie panini, tuna & cucumber sandwich, slice of red velvet and 2 x milkshakes. He had to repeat the milkshake order to his colleague 3x because he was wearing an airpod in one ear (VERY unprofessional). Whilst the manager unpacked my panini to toast it, he opened both toasters to find them occupied by sandwiches that were very over toasted, clearly had been forgotten about otherwise he woukdnt have tried to add mine to the same toasters! on the subject on unprofessionalism, all three make members of staff we dressed very scruffily. 2 did have company shirts but their trousers were jogging bottoms etc. Furthermore for cafe staff, prepping food and drinks at a time of a global pandemic, none were wearing any gloves, tables throughout the cafe were stacked il with trays, culs and plates. we had to clear our own table which was itself and should to protect customers and staff should have been cleaned properly. The food - the tuna and cucumber sandwich was very poor. There was almost no cucumber in the sandwich, the bread was very dry and the tuna was under mixed with mayo. it would be fair to say the biggest portion of the sandwich was actually lettuce! the bacon and brie panini was better, but as with the ones observed earlier it was overly toasted. There was a LOT more cheese than bacon and the bacon was poor quality. I wouldnt complain but the prices arent cheap £3.50-£4.50 The cake: not too bad, a bit bland and dry but overall ok. The Drinks: the milkshakes are NOT good. very artificial tasting. I ordered a banana milkshake, it was clearly made with milk, ice cream and an artificial syrup. They advertise making smoothies with real fruit so not sure why they cant add a whole banana into a shake to make it authentic rather a sickly sweet sugary syrup. Overall the meal was a waste of £18. Left feeling very disappointed.

Disgusting customer service, they served the customer behind me in the queue before me, did not even acknowledge I was there. I walked out and will not be going back.
