The Wheatsheaf in Surrey Heath

We went to the restaurant couple of days ago. We checked the menu on the website before confirming the location. We reached this pub after 30 minutes walk! The tables were in clean and the glasses on the tables were not cleared. We had to use the in cleaned tables which none cared to clean. When we tried to order they said there is no food. Not even starter! The information on the website including drinks menu and food is not even available in the pub currently. When we asked the employee their answers were disappointing and not convincing!

This was a great find of a pub on local estate. Two sides to this pub stroke restaurant. One side is a drink and eat, the other side has a pool table and darts board and plenty of TVS to watch live sport on.

Popped in for a beer with a visiting friend. Good beer on tap. this is certainly an unusual pub to look at and visit - apparently the architect also designed churches! Refurbished recently (and during COVID provided a real heart to many community support activities). We sat outside in the beer garden. Plenty of space and tables and wiled away a couple of hours. Will be back!

Apparently food is not available everyday but dinner is popular with the locals so it should be fair value. Very well laid out pub with lots places to sit. Only negative was some loud and rude patrons but you can get that anywhere.

Excellent fish, chips and mushy peas. Hogs Back T.E.A. in perfect condition. Only marked down because my chosen dessert (Lemon Swirl Cheesecake) was not available

Fascinating unique building. The exterior looks like a modern church. The interior is on several levels. From every angle you can see most of the pub. Real ales and interesting menu, and reasonable prices. Large family-friendly garden. It's a shame it's AstroTurf. If you are interested in pub architecture, this is a must.

What a lovely little boozer this is, stopped off there and decided to have some food, got the 5 plates for £21 tapas thing and omg, there was sooooo much food, really enjoyed it, was clean and tidy and the staff were super friendly. If I'm ever in that area again I'd definitely go back.

Popped in for a pint of Guinness on St Patrick's Day. Lovely Guinnes. Good atmosphere. Live band.

Good pub grub with lots of beers to choose. Pie, peas and mash was our choice with a pint of TEA for me. We'll be back!

Lovely friendly atmosphere and amazing crème brûlée. Even managed to meet the chef who told us about some exciting new dishes coming soon!

Really lovely pub. I popped in for a drink after work. The staff were very friendly only reason for 4 stars is I haven’t tried the food yet I really liked the decor and a nice atmosphere.

Menu has been extended but they had run out of Sunday Roasts at 3pm, no chips or coleslaw! Friendly staff make up for it

Had an amazing lunch with my husband. Freshly made onion rings is superb. Pork belly and beef burger all made from scratch (I know it as I am a Chef). Good quality food for reasonable price. Also need to advertise the beer more😀 they have my and husbby favourite Neck oil😜 Thank you guys 🤗

Had a great Sunday lunch the other weekend which was great, but went there last night, with to other friends, for one of their birthdays. How different, could it be, booked a table for 19.00 for three, shown to our table, not asked if we would like a drink, after ten minutes, I went up to the bar and order three drinks, when the waitress brought the drinks, asked if we were ready to order food, which was good, the waitress collected plates, but did not ask if we would like a sweet, after ten, fifteen minutes, no one came over, but we could see the staff, chatting and laughing at the bar, when we got someone attention, the waitress told us the chef had gone home, this was 20.45. What a very disappointing and annoying way to finish a birthday celebrate.

Totally renovated in the past few months with a huge investment. This place USED to be really bad but New Manager Ben and his great Team have really turned it around. Great Beer, Great Food, and Great Manager and Staff make this THE place to go most times of the day with or without your Children. Even the toilets are in good condition! It was raining when I visited but I can see they have invested Time and Money on the "beer garden". As a a Royal British Legion fundraiser I was especially glad to see the pictures and poppies around the fence that commemorate our fallen heroes and help to raise money for our current Service Men and Women who need their help.

What a difference a year makes. After a complete refit and with a new landlord The Wheatsheaf is transformed. Really good food, excellent, well kept beers and genuinely helpful staff. The landlord deserves huge credit. Despite covid he has turned this place around to the point that it's almost unrecognisable. It's a real hub. A proper local pub in all the most positive ways. =========== [Dec 2019]Good and busy in the early evening. Plenty of locals in. The place itself is very tired and doesn't feel at all welcoming. Needs a bit of investment.

Came here for the first time yesterday for a Sunday drink. Nice range of drinks and the actual place looks well presented. Currently have a Halloween theme which looks amazing. Food menu looks good too. We will be back for food!

Really lovely little pub, super friend staff and the food is delicious and great value for money. We went for breakfast on a rainy Sunday morning and despite being busy, the staff were attentive and the tables are well spaced out so you feel like you have your own area. Would recommend!

Following guidelines well, been for both breakfast and dinner, staff are welcoming and friendly and food is great.

Wicked little pub, run by a charming and friendly gent. The food is amazing and the prices are just as good. I couldn't complain about anything. Love the layout of the pub, it's really quirky and even when full you still feel like you have your own private area of the pub which is a really welcome touch.

Found this absolute gem whilst looking for local diners in the area, the food is amazing and the service is exceptional. The manager and staff were very attentive, chatty and courteous :) In the local area, hands down the best place for food and I would happily recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family. Ben and the team are excellent. Always something going on from a local social meetup to poker/Dart tournaments.

Recently took 7 of my closest friends for an afternoon pint. Such a nice atmosphere. 16.30 in the afternoon with most of the tables filled with a variety of ages all enjoying an afternoon on the sauce.

Recently took mother and mother in law for morning coffee. Such a nice atmosphere. 0930 in the morning with most tables filled with a variety of ages all enjoying morning tea & coffee. We had Tea and the coffee cake which was delicious. Have eaten in the evening and with the children, food tasty... Menu good 👍

A curious refit. It has a spiral design thing going on which gets the most out of the space and creates plenty of private nook-type spaces. I'm sure some will mourn the loss of a traditional pub but what is in its place is a more community embracing space.

Visited for the first time after seeing this impressive building on an architecture website, it looked very tired inside and needs a lot of investment, it’s a very local pub, I walked in and people looked at me like I had 2 heads! The staff were friendly and the drinks were nicely priced.

Get place to enjoy a quite drink

It's like having a beer in a skip, surrounded by low life drug abusers. If it got a new owner who cares a little and new staff it may stand a chance to be an alright pub for a beer.

Looks like it is falling down. Badly kept beer. No food. Lacklustre staff

If it wasn't my local for the last 28 years I'd not touch it after my 1st visit. The staff try their hardest and do a fab job (except kegan) who is a knob. More support or just sell it to let someone who will give it the care it deserves.

This place could be so much better... Shame really! Frequented by the usual locals, but nothing there would entice other people to come and have a drink. Someone needs to invest some cash and it could be an absolute goldmine...!

Great spot, if you’re staying nearby. Across the street from a park and ya private ish areas upstairs.

I'm from America and my husband brought me to this Pub, which he practically spent his young adult life in and after 9 years, he said it hasn't changed a bit. Great English Pub, super friendly people and staff, I loved it! 5 stars *****

Badly in need of a lick of paint and a good clean. Does sell a limited selection of beers but even these lack excitement!

Hell of a lot of potential with a captive audience on a large estate...but even new locals don't know it's there! Toilets leak...heating doesn't work...only one bitter on at a time...no food...lovely staff fighting a losing battle! Whoever owns it should get a grip!

OK food and atmosphere, but waiters aren't very attentive, even when only mildly busy. Don't expect any extra requests to be followed.

Is a basic pub that sells a cheap pint. Don't expect a gastro pub and you will be alright. Pool table and darts in one room and seating in another. Tends to show the rugby or football when it's on.
