The Ham Farm Harvester in Eastleigh

Visited Ham Farm mid afternoon on a Sunday in December for a family gathering. Table set up as booked, and whole place superbly decorated for Christmas! Service was variable, which was a suprise bearing mind the place was not that full. Also our table was next to a childrens grab a soft toy machine, which was ok but less than ideal. If we go again would request not being close to any slot machines. In any case not sure this actually fits that well in a restaurant? Harvesters are now not as reasonable as they were, and there are other places that offer good food for the same or less cost. So overall a bit disappointing, perhaps it was just an off day??

Breakfast with Santa. Terrible service, cold food. Over priced and a “breakfast with Santa” turned out to be us shoved into a broom cupboard for a quick chat and a kitkat. Absolute waste of money. Not at all any Christmas spirit for the kids. Extremely disappointing.

I only booked this yesterday through the online booking system, which is very user friendly. Large free car park. We were seated right on time & my Grandson was escorted to a separate area to meet Santa before our meal. Both Santa & his Elf were great, really friendly & they took several minutes talking to him. He liked the present & really enjoyed the experience, which was very well organised. After this we had breakfast. The food, service & all the staff were great. Excellent VFM. Very happy to recommend. Thank you.

Restaurant was busy but service was still good, only issues were serving Christmas dinner but ran out of Cranberry sauce (which my Dad really likes) there is a Tesco 2min drive from Restaurant so surely a staff member could have got some Also Grilled chicken in the Trio of Chicken was way over cooked and tough to cut - Trio of chicken is a favourite especially the Corn breads were great shame about one 3rd of the chicken

Great afternoon drinks with friends on a lovely sunny afternoon, made even better by the exceptional bar staff. In particular Finn was amazing working so hard on his own mostly but still keeping up with orders and having time for a chat.

Visited recently. Always love the salad cart and the rest of the food really good too. Excellent service from Finn who was helpful, attentive and kept us smiling throughout

Lovely little pub, our barman Dylan was great and pours a decent pint (most of the time) Very friendly atmosphere and everyone was very friendly and welcoming

I've been to this many times and it's friendly and good service. The food I'd give 4 out of 5 as most of the meals are ok but the salad and salad dressing leave me let down. The salad I had on a visit was full of chopped chilli, which I think are not necessary. The flat bread wrap promised coleslaw but was hardly present. The chicken, gammon and scampi are value for money and I recommend. The problem I have is the communication between the bar and the main restaurant as there was no cutlery again even after the bar staff had asked for some to refill the pot. As I said good food but needs help.

Very poor. Booked a table for a friends birthday. Waiting staff were friendly but the service itself was very slow. We waited over an hour for our main meal and at no point were we informed of any delays until I asked what the hold up was. Food was very slow in coming out and when it did, it was mediocre. Chicken was very dry and ribs were overcooked. Some were over spiced/seasoned. The restaurant itself is in desperate need of refreshing. The carpets were filthy and worn and the tables sticky. The whole place needs a deep clean. Rather than leave this review on a bad note - like I said, the waiting staff were friendly and courteous. Would I go again? It’s a Harvester so, I don’t expect much anyway as they do what they do but I have been to other branches which are much better.

Very busy, but our waitress kept us informed about when the food would be with us. She was a pleasant young lady her name was Ella. So attentive couldn't praise her more, smiling all the time

Lovely food and friendly staff and is one of my local places yo come and eat I come with family and friends for both lunch and dinner

Carpet on floor was totally thread bare and covered in grease. The bench we were sat on was ripped with large areas of foam poking through. We couldn't believe we were sat in such squalor! Also the walls looked like they had been used a firing range and in dire need of repainting! We felt very uneasy about the state of the place especially that filthy carpet. Is there no pride? Management cannot walk through this restaurant and not be aware it needs urgent work including a new carpet! Fortunately the food was ok and the service good but it felt like we were eating in a pigsty. We won't be coming back in a hurry.

The food was good, there was a good selection in the salad bar, staff were friendly. It was a really easy place to get to from the M3.

Great service from Assistant Manager and ALL staff especially Waiter Ethan who was very friendly and helpful and great food from the Ched Jordan. Great experience with lovely staff.

Absolutely perfect and friendly service from liah at Southampton’s ham farm branch. Delightfully delicious hot food , and great coffee. What more could we have asked for during our business meeting. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely meal thanks to the chefs on tonight, Jim and Nico. Our server Lilly was extremely pleasant and very helpful. They are all an asset to the company.

We had a great meal here this evening. We booked last minute after a day in Bournemouth where everywhere was packed so on the way home we made a telephone booking and were so glad we did. Making a shout out to our server Lilly and chef Jim and the kitchen staff for a lovely meal. The pork belly I had was so succulent and tasty and my fried really enjoyed her gammon. We were so full we couldn't manage a pudding. Will definitely be back.

Attending my lovely grandaughters 21 st birthday gathering early eveningon the 27 th feb, we where extremely upset and disappointed, salad area was not refilled, and what was there was looking rather sad and area not clean, on ordering food, they had run out of chicken as in, half and quarter chicken pieces, but they could offer half a chicken breast as an alternative !!!. I asked if salad could be refilled , i waited and waited!, eventualy asked another two members of staff who were stood talking for quite a while, still waiting ! ,having to ask for a third time, i explained we had been waiting a long time, i was given a defensive answer, saying they where doing it, when the meal came it was a disgrace and i asked to see the manager who was once again very defensive and said the kitchen had said this was the equivalent, this was where she stood had no customer service and didnt care, she was rude.( pictures included )

Generally, it was good, service was amazing, Sarah was very helpful and friendly. I ordered "the ultimate breakfast" and asked for No Beans or Black Pudding and I requested scrambled egg. When my food arrived it looks gorgeous, the very well presented. I touched my scrambled eggs....stone cold, I touched my grilled tomatoes and mushroom, stone cold. I politely mentioned it to Sarah and she took my food away to ask the chef to prepare a fresh plate. When my second plate arrived it wasn't any better, eggs, tomato and mushrooms ice cold. I again mentioned it to Sarah who offered to get a new one but I insisted that it would be okay. A few mins later, a plate arrived with hot tomatoes and scrambled eggs. Thank you Sarah for the help you gave today and for sorting out the issues with my cold meal. If it wasn't for the good service I would be saying don't rush to visit this restaurant, but the front of house team are superb and are willing to go the extra mile. Kitchen staff however need to sort themselves out. I am not going to rush back here due to the cold food being served not just once but TWICE!

I love the Harvester veggie breakfast - good quality, lots included and very tasty! The service provided by Sarah and the rest of the team is really good, too. Also, it's great value at the moment, with a £2 discount offer!

Went for lunch with my missus, niece and mother in law and ordered the ultimate mixed grill, the waitress (Sarah) was a lovely woman, polite and very welcoming and when the food came out - oh my days it was the dogs bollocks! The steak was cooked to perfection along with the rest of everything on my plate. It was humongous. I ate the lot and now I'm baking a massive turd. It was so good, I can't wait for it to come out tomorrow so I can plop it on a plate and enjoy it all over again. Compliments to John the chef

This place has really gone downhill recently, myself and my partner received our meals which were pretty much inedible. I sent mine back and they brought out a fresh meal which was just as bad if not worse. Won't be rushing to eat there again.

Visited sat 7th October and very disappointed,think this needs looking into eating area dirty floor and tables,rude staff,male and female toilets out of order and food cold and over priced ,drinks machine most flavours not working ,best part of the visit was leaving and definitely will not return

We stopped for breakfast with our 14 month old - the lady who served us was lovely! Our little girl had a mega tantrum and she was kind and understanding and helpful 😊 delicious food for all of us.
