We stayed here for two nights, b&b,to attend fathers funeral, easy to find place , ample parking,, pub is fantastic, wood burner , beam ceilings, great atmosphere, and being a Sunday , was serving carvery , and the place was packed, and full of locals , all friendly.. good stock of ales, ciders.. staff were lovely, felt like we had been friends for years,, The room we had was ample for what we needed, slept well, en-suite was clean ,, the breakfast was full English, and always enough … what a fantastic place , loved staying here , shame is wasn’t closer to us .. but the atmosphere and staff , are lovely, thank you all so much , for our stay , if we ever need to come this way, will definitely come back.. xx

Stayed there one night while visiting the nearby 100th BG museum (Thorpe Abbotts) from the US. The staff were extremely accommodating, and the food we had was quite good. We enjoyed hanging out in the pub area and interacting with the local folks. Everyone was very nice, and we'll stay again should we find ourselves back in that part of the world.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We stayed two nights for our son’s wedding in a neighbouring village. Keighly met us on arrival and showed us to our rooms and her lovely daughter Elizabeth served us later at dinner. Both breakfasts were made and served by Aimee and Jenny (another mother and daughter team) and they wanted to know how the wedding day went and were keen to see photos we had taken. All in all a family approach to our family event made for an exceptional stay at the Half Moon. Thank you.

Revisited the half moon inn for a recent 60th birthday and it had changed so much, really friendly staff, food was reasonablely priced for portion size. They were very accommodating to some of our weird and odd requests. Will definitely be returning

Popped in to have an evening meal on Friday evening. Very attentive service, place looked spotless. Food and drinks came in good time. Ordered lamb shish and green tea. Had appetiser first, bread and carrot stick dip just after got seated. Food looked really fresh and I enjoyed the whole experience. Looking forward to coming again!

The finest food, of the finest quality. Nit to be missed. Owners and staff are fantastic! Tonight we held our works Christmas meal which was outstanding. A must try! Quality is never comprised! A true 5 star! Staff superb, chef outstanding

Menu does not match the food. The crispy patatas bravas were not crispy. Just call them potatoes in sauce. The dumpling stew was very spicy but nothing in the menu would indicate it was going to be spicy. My wife was really disappointed. The mushroom wellington was mostly pastry with not a lot of mushroom, which is normally the opposite of a wellington. Just call it mushroom and leek pastry. Not as posh I know. The peanut blondie had raisins in it. I hate raisins and would not have ordered it if they mentioned this in the menu. The quality of the ingredients, service and ambient was good. A pain to find a place to park.

Booked a family Christmas lunch for 7 of us. Excellent food, served promptly by attentive staff. Most importantly, everything was gluten free which for a coeliac like me is an absolute treat. Very highly recommended!
