Great pub with an astonishing collection of model aircraft. Lovely pub, really interesting model aircraft display on the walls. Good beer, stack of local newspapers (thank you - that means so much to casual visitors like us) and basically just a bloody nice pub. To be honest the hour or so that we spent there was probably the high-point of a flying tourist visit to Folkestone. Well done!

Great friendly little independent pub, thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Were kind enough to put footy scores on for us when we asked them. Will be back.

A lovely quiet pub in Folkstone with an aeronautical theme. While you have a good pint, you can see the collection of airplanes, models, and photographs inside. On Sundays they have a barbecue on the outside terrace and make delicious hot dogs and hamburgers, as the sign says, as long as the weather permits. If you pass by folkstone, you can't miss it ☺️

Although no particular feature of this pub stood out it was clean, tidy and well kept. A really good example of a English pub . There is a largish outside area to the front with tables and seating which was a bit exposed on a breezy day but pleasant enough in the sunshine

A good old workers man pub. Home to the locals and a great place to sit for the last of the afternoon sun! We didn't have food here but the service was good and the place had friendly atmosphere.

Friendly local pub that treats everyone as a valued customer, no matter what! Our autistic son has made it his local and when we pop in with him, it's lovely to see the reaction he has. This is the blueprint of what British pubs should be like. Oh by the way, it has a decent array of beers!

Fantastic Sunday dinners in the winters months, a fabulous bbq during the summer and a warm, dog friendly atmosphere, had a great time met interesting people

Ever since our 24 year old autistic son moved down to Folkestone, we have been out with him every weekend and having found The Guildhall, it has become his 'local' (even though it's not the nearest pub to his home). It's a proper old school pub, in a quiet street, just off from the hub bub of the town. The bar staff are excellent and keep an eye on our son, when he pops in for a coke and peanuts with his friends, so we know that he will always be safe there! He frequents it a few times a week and is known by the regulars and enjoys himself. When we pop along with him on the weekends, we can feel the lovely atmosphere and enjoy relaxing with him, as he can be himself there, which is lovely to see. There's a pool table there and he has played on that with his friends on a few of his visits. All in all, a proper pub to relax in.

What an amazing pub, first ever visit today just popped in then stayed for hours, warm when it was cold (very warm v very cold) open when others were not (they've lost more than a days custom now, many years') staff ace (thank you Rachael) beer ...well I only had the Guinness but 10/10 , dog welcome but the best part - WOW the other customers...Colin Craig, Lynn, Natalie, Norman and a few other people, a long time since I've felt so instantly at home - an ace place much loved by many and just up or down the steps from one of the lost interesting little streets the whole country

Not just a pub a community, a smile , a warm welcome, lovely pints and selection of drinks , a lovely beer garden , so clean and nice , love it there , highly recommend, just feel like I m visiting family

Fantastic pub! This is set up in a great location of folkestone. The staff here are fantastic and super friendly. The best part about this for me was the fact there was a pool table, a great way to spend an hour chilling inside with a lovely pint. It's well worth a visit. The food smelt fantastic and I shall return to taste and review that too! I don't go giving 5* reviews for nothing, so this pub really does deserve it!

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. Our dog Casper was pampered by the landlady with gravy bones and water. I was really impressed with the selection of beer truly incredible. We always walked past this pub but this time I decided to go in 'lol'. I wasn't disappointed and much better than your trendy wine bars nearby. Will visit again.

One of my husbands favourite pubs in Folkestone. He always ends up here. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the place has a great selection of booze and is always clean and tidy.

A great place, friendly and helpful staff. Allows dogs in too - I brought my two dogs and the owner and staff gave them lots of fuss and provided a dog bowl for water

Just happened to be passing by but go back everytime we visit. It's a lovely traditional pub. Older barstaff are really lovely & the younger girls that work are always really nice! Will definitely go back. Can't wait to try a roast dinner, they look amazing!

After an 8 mile walk, we were ready for a large lunch. And The Guildhall didn’t disappoint. Delicious Roast Lamb with all the trimmings, served by very friendly staff.

Wonderful pub with lots of character

The young girl behind the bar is the rudest I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Let's you're pub down . I've never had any problems with the elder ladies but on more than one occasion the young girl has been flippant and appalling.

Excellent pub in the bayle area of folkestone

Sunday lunch for two people, prior booking recommended. Choice of three meets, beef, lamb or chicken for £9, or all three meats for £10. Comes with Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, peas, carrots, cauliflower cheese, green beans and stuffing, gravy. Condiments and an extra jug of gravy. We choose the three meat option, OMG, WOW, Portion size was massive, I could not eat all of mine and did not do it justice. (Photos show how massive the portions are) The Guildhall is a free house and serves a selection of ales. Owner and staff very friendly. Very welcoming. Will defo be going back.

Wow wow wow talk about a hidden gem, Just yards from the beach and harbour sits this gem. Nestled behind the hustle and bustle of the shops. We had mixed Sunday roasts oh my word were they exceptional incredibly value and superb flavour our jack russel helped us polish the rest of we couldn’t eat as they were so filling great meat to vegetables ratio everything from home made Yorkshire puddings to stuffing to parsnips and the meat well 3-5 slices of beef chicken and lamb so about 9-12 slices of good fresher that fresh delicious roasted meats with a extra jug of home made gravy on the side. The service was phenomenal a true Governor behind the bar warm and friendly very polite and knowledgeable. We had some local cask ales delicious. Can’t recommend highly enough stunning location and surroundings and just a true gem to find

Pleasant place to while away a sunny afternoon. The weather was sultry but the garden/terrace was breezy and cool. A good choice of beers, no food but you don't expect that from a proper pub. No pretensions just a good old fashioned boozer

This is a comfortable old fashioned pub that caters for the more "mature" customer. Only does food on Sundays, in the week just Scotch eggs or sausage rolls. It has excellent real beer and a selection of newspapers. It's a very peaceful and comfortable place for a pint at lunchtime, to relax and browse a newspaper. It has a nice seating area outside at the front.
