Outstanding restauraunt. Quality cuts of meat and delicious starters. Their range of mocktails are great as well. Service is top notch and I love the atmosphere.

Absolutely amazing all round. Peter provided outstanding service with a smile. The steak was delicious and tender. I ordered the Côte De Boeuf which I could only recommend you try with the special sauce. It is a sweet and rich bbq flavour which I can honestly say was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Will be back again soon! Also everything is Halal!

Terrible restaurant, quality of food does not match the price, customer service was also very poor. Would not be returning here again.

My Father In Law and I went to this restaurant yesterday as we wanted to have a decent meal before watching a comedy show at the Aylesbury Theatre across the road. While the food was good, and the staff friendly enough, oddly though we were told as we sat down that they were not serving alcohol on this particular day, we then asked why and there was no particular valid reason for it...just because. We found this very odd as we would have expected to have been told prior to the booking being made surely? as this would overall have an impact on our decision to still keep the booking and would have managed our expectations. To make it even more odd, when provided the menus we were given the drinks menu also which had a wide variety of alcoholic drinks to choose from which i did not see the point in doing so as again we were not explained why there were no alcoholic drinks being served on this particular night. Almost like rubbing it in our face we cant have 90% of the drinks on this menu if we wanted to. Lastly....midway through our meal, i noticed that another couple had sat down a few tables over with cocktails for their drinks....so left feeling highly disappointed by this experience and with a feeling of prejudice against us, aswell as feeling single out and discriminated against we will not be coming back.

THEY HAVE CLOSED DOWN, I travelled over an hour and the business is no longer open.

Very disappointing! We went there for my parent’s anniversary and we thought we will enjoy some good steak. That was not the case. Starters were extremely horrible and had no taste. Mains were extremely burnt and overcooked, not sure what this ”glaze means (all I thought it was sweet slimy sauce, which made it taste burnt). They have no idea what seasoning! We paid over £200 and had the worst time sadly! But the waitress from Italy was great !

Good restaurant overall, but i don't like why they have to glaze everything on their menu from starters to non-steak mains.

Attempted to order the T-bone, but it was out of stock, asked for the porterhouse, also out of stock, was then told so was the côte de boeuf! So none of the three main cuts of steak available in a steak house! Settled for the sirloin, to be fair it was okay, the prawns were inedible, they smelt so strongly of fish, I didn’t dare chance them. They had been dusted and deep-fried for some reason. The chips look like they were the last bits left in the bag, some were black inside. Wife had the fillet, that was without fault. Apology from the staff and a free drink. When it came to the bill, prawns were still on there and had to be asked to take them off. Over £120 for a scallops to share, fillet and sirloin steak, one Prosecco, one beer and four prawns! Such a shame as I’ve heard great things about this place when it was The Grill!

Don’t bother ordering their favourite cut of meat off the menu as they don’t have it! Instead get asked to order the T bone and have to pay extra for something you don’t want. Alternatively pay for the drinks you have had and book a taxi to somewhere else. The restaurant had two other diners. Two! More staff than customers. Last time they will have us as customers. Our waitress was lovely. Clearly she was embarrassed. Top marks for her.

The service is good but steak is very poor. If you like your steak sweet and a burnt charcoal taste then you may enjoy the food. Martini mock-tail was so sour it tasted almost like lemon juice. Unfortunately was not worth £100pp that we paid

The steaks were tasty - the steak glaze is an interesting concept. The surf and turf was good and the Stilton and Camembert sauce was great! Burgers were tasty and just slightly over done. The service was good overall (we were offered a fresh steak after the kids one came well done instead of medium rare, so that was a nice touch). For a bill that came to £200+ (4 adults and 2 kids - with some wine and deserts), not the absolute wow factor but good experience overall!

A massive thank you to Sophie and Peter. Me and my partner came for dinner here for the first time today 02.07.24 and it was amazing. The attentiveness of both members of staff was outstanding and we will 100% be returning back. The food was also outstanding and full of so much flavour.

We have come back again today as yesterday we had such lovely food and the team are amazing. Our son had 1st ever steak and went medium but I had no concerns as the staff were incredible with him. Special mention to Jimmy as he was very attentive and today coming back again he recognised us as soon as we walked in. This is now our new favourite restaurant in Aylesbury Thanks to all the team for making it a pleasurable dining experience 10/10

**Rating: ★☆☆☆☆** Terrible service at this steak house. When the waitress took my order, I specifically asked for sweet potato fries as an extra side since my steak came with chunky cut chips. However, when my order arrived, the chunky cut chips were missing. I informed the waiter, who said he'd fix it. After 15 minutes with no update, I asked again, only to see the waiter head straight into an empty kitchen to make them himself. It was clear he didn't care, so I told him to forget it. Awful service and mediocre food. I won't be returning.

Very decent ribeye steak, nicely cooked medium rare. Could have lived without the rather sweet glaze on the steak though. Good chips, standard peppercorn sauce. Good value with a tenner discount courtesy of Mr Sunak, maybe a tad pricey without.

The atmosphere makes you feel like you are in a brothel, and the prices are mental with drink being more expensive than some of the food on the menu. The glaze burger was horrible and tasted like ash and coal with no actual flavour. The mushroom starter was ok but not worth the price. Overall I wouldn’t recommend unless you have Richard Branson paying, otherwise steer clear and save your money. The only fun thing was the waiter coming over and putting dry ice? On the table, it was funny and unexpected, I would say that’s the only enjoying thing about entering the building.

For our wedding anniversary, made a reservation at 9.30pm through the website, turned up and the restaurant was closed. Called up the restaurant but didn’t get no reply. Had to drive back for over an hour back to London all hungry. Wife was not happy at all

We went to Glaze tonight for a birthday meal and had a lovely time. The atmosphere was nice, the music was fun, the service was fantastic with a knowledgable and attentive team and the food was delicious. Would absolutely recommend, if I could give more than 5 stars I would

Not a great experience for my father’s birthday. We had seen that it was recommended by a foodie online, but I would not recommend. After I was insulted and embarrassed by the waiter before I had even sat down. Being at a steakhouse 3/4 of us ordered steaks which are too expensive for what they are. It’s unclear that they all come with the ‘glaze’ on even when you order a sauce (which is incredibly watery). The glaze is overpowering which distracts from the great taste of the meat. The other person on our table ordered a halloumi burger … which arrived with no halloumi in it and when we spoke to a waiter he just laughed. No discount on this dish. The cocktails are the best bit so just go for a drink!!

Impromptu visit although we had been recommended to go here. We had the shared grilled baked tikka camembert to start with and both our mains we chose the grill special. Both dishes were delicious and promptly. The staff were very helpful and polite nothing too much trouble. Prices are what you'd expect to pay for somewhere like this. We would definitely return and recommend to others. Parking is also close by which is very helpful.

Had a birthday meal with a large party (17 people) and I cannot fault the service. We had a few last minute changes and the staff were really patient and polite, especially with the kids. The food was tasty (steak = yum) and the waiting time wasn’t too long at all. Will definitely be back soon!

Poor service. Strange depressing waiters. Over price for the hype false advertisement waste of time and money. Food was cold and the service was so poor didn’t treat us good just throw us on the table like we were animals. Bone marrow was so cold and pink omg sickening.

The Service and Atmosphere was great, I enjoyed the dried ice feature, the food was very nice too but I wasn't too fond of the brown sugar steak sauce.

It’s a bit pricey but worth it the food is fab the drinks made perfectly. Next Time I go will definitely go for a steak and not just a burger.

Absolutely amazing time! Perfect food! And the starter "tikka masala camembert" which was perfect and came with a small tang! Brilliant staff and amazing atmosphere! My one criticism would be that there needs to be a beef dripping sauce!

Great place to go and eat before visiting the cinema. Easy parking outside and quite an atmosphere. It is on the more expensive side, but good quality food.

Food didn’t arrive after 50 mins, wrong wine served, music terrible, had to leave as had a show to go to. drinks were comped to us in the end ie 1 star given for that Such a shame though

Really exceptional steak, the best I’ve had in a long time. I asked for medium rare and got it. Chips were crispy, fluffy and not reheated for convenience from hours earlier, perfect. My pepper sauce was rich, creamy and peppery - exemplary. Strong recommend. Service with a smile, humour and speed. Oh and some unexpected dry ice drama.

The steaks here are not even close to being worth the cost. Cheap pub level food at london level prices. No music on upstairs. Avoid.

Do not recommend. We travelled nearly two hours and we left half our food uneaten. Chicken was over cooked , rice was hard , food was cold. £40 steak tasted of nothing and was bland. Really arrogant waiter, who had no patience when taking orders from a LARGE group. The guy was acting like he was doing us a favour, but really and truly this restaurant is not doing anyone any favours. Drinks were decent.

The food just wasn't really worth the price. Not terrible, but not worth the price they're charging for it. Go to Weatherspoons and you'll pay far less for the same thing.

Booked a table - restaurant was busy, but seamed to have plenty of staff. Had to wait for the table, but staff did apologise. Once we were seated we had to wait to order drinks - at which point we also ordered our food. Steak only comes with chips (no salad etc) Sides were £4.95 each - one tomato or two mushroom etc.. We waited for 30 mins before the drinks arrived. A few people arrived after us and were served their food -we was still waiting. We asked how long it would be and was told there was a problem in the kitchen. An hour after ordering we decided to leave. As we were leaving the food arrived. By this time we had waited an hour and half so decided not to stay. Was disappointed. Would suggest better organisation and possibly look at pricing!

We dropped in without a reservation but were seated in a fairly empty restaurant. The food is on the pricey side which is fine if it’s very good. Unfortunately it was VERY average, not very hot and came very quickly, which might explain why it was luke warm. Nothing was particularly tasty and a lot of the dessert options were not available despite being offered. We were asked if everything had been ok and when we said no, they really had no answer. Nothing was taken off the bill, we were just offered a shot. Overall not worth the money.

Took wife and 3 children (aged 5-12 years) for birthday meal. Lovely restaurant, great friendly staff, quick service and tasty food. The mixed grill is great value for money. They have a kids menu which makes it reasonably priced for families as the steak is otherwise quite pricey. Ambience nice and staff very friendly. Shame though that on a Saturday night they didn't have multiple items from dessert menu.

Had a fabulous time here celebrating my dad’s birthday. Food was excellent, ambience just right and all the drink recommendations were spot on. Service from Jimmy and the team could not have been better. Thanks for making it a special occasion for us all.

Cannot possibly give this restaurant more as it was freezing cold inside. Everyone downstairs were sat huddled in their coats fighting over the two 400W electric heaters. Most unpleasant. The burgers were good but shivering is not what you expect indoors when having a meal.

Their pricing needs to be seriously looked at, the different between a standard burger meal and one from the kids menu are two onion rings and a few more chips, yet almost double price and without the ice cream dessert . The grilled peri peri chicken had no peri peri and seemed to be a plain grilled chicken. Service was slow and overall, not value for money. This was our second dinner meal in Aylesbury during our short-stay and like the first, we would have been better off going to a takeway. Only reason why I am scoring two instead of one, is that the previous night's dinner was so bad and I had scored that one and this was a slight improvement.

This place is very inconsistent. A few months ago the steak was soft and tasty. Today it was so chewy, even after getting another steak. Don’t think we will be coming back

Slightly disappointing overall only because the ingredients are there for this restaurant to be a genuinely top notch venue. Situated in a lovely esplanade in the centre of town, two tiered seating and a rouge, dusky ambience pose a perfect setting for some PG13 public romance. The waiting staff were superb and attentive. The steaks are superb slices of meat on par with any other steakhouse, perhaps better. The gold leaf options are incentively priced. The food options are halal to cater to a typically shunned but keen Muslim minority in the steakhouse community. Nice mocktails well-made and a variety of alcoholic beverages on offer. Then the the signature sauce was a real disappointment. It was saccharine sabotage. Unnecessarily dousing a superb cut of cow in diabetes-inducing sweet sauce is just insanity. They do chocolate sauce for steak ffs this is sacrilege! Revamp the sauce menu, go savoury, add mac and cheese and watch the dolla dolla bills fly in y'all

Food was nice as it was before, a perfect Steak Burger - but unfortunately the review is held back to 3 stars because my god the restaurant was absolutely freezing. Half of us were frozen to death, half of us wearing coats. Really brings down the whole experience when it's cold to the point you can't feel your arms, legs and feet. Upon looking at other reviews, it would appear that they had an issue over a month ago with the heating supposedly and have yet to get it fixed.

I saw a TikTok and thought this would be a good place to visit. Sadly as they say you can’t believe everything on the internet. Scallops were very nice. However everything else not. The cocktails barely had alcohol and were poorly presented. I went for the grill special dish which consisted of burnt meat. The partner I was with also disliked their steak burger. I had to make the most of it and when asked about my opinion I told the waiter it wasn’t good everything burnt. He showed me my plate and made a comment passive aggressively. He got a bit aggressive with me which I began to become fearful as I only expressed an opinion. I was later given a discount as the waiter did apologise for his reaction. However my experience had already been damaged. They need to change the management, focus on hiring individuals who are presentable, chef needs to understand the difference between smoked and burnt and they need to stop falsely advertising. Hope they take feedback on board but majorly disappointed.

Top notch, best place I've been to in the UK for quality steaks!

We decided to try this steakout for a friends birthday. Ordered 4 steaks (1 well done 3 medium) 3 came out rare (including the well done) order was replaced (30 minutes of waiting again) wasn't a huge improvement and the friend whos food was "ok" finished his food by the time our replacements came back. The best thing about the experience was a chocolate cake which looked like it was brought ready made and heated up. When complaining the waiter didn't look too surprised. Many items you would expect on a steakhouse menu were missing and a few discontinued items were still on the menu Looked good on Instagram. the last time I'll trust an Instagram food reviewer Would not go back or recommend! Very disappointed.

I really wanted to like this place, however the food was very average, if that. On the positive the atmosphere was great and so was the presentation of the food and there was parking nearby. Overall a 3 star for me to balance the quality of the food vs the other elemets.

Great food. Good atmosphere. But....... I was checking out the online menu the day before we went. It is so out of date, all of the prices have been increased. For example the price online for the Scallops was £9.95, at the restaurant it was actually £13.95. The Ribeye was online £29.95, we actually paid £34.95. It didn't matter too much as we had the money. But if you were trying to keep to a budget this makes a big difference. The Grill Aylesbury, update your website menu, or honour yue online prices!!

Staff are really friendly and food is excellent

We had an exceptional experience at The Grill Steakhouse. The Cote de Boeuf and T-bone steak were incredibly succulent and tender, and the special glaze elevated the flavors to perfection. The restaurant offers a vibrant atmosphere, making it suitable for any occasion, and the staff provided excellent service. Highly recommended!

We went here (6 adults) on 2 Dec 23, on recommendations through TikTok, stating 'halal hidden gem'. We drove just over an hour to get here. On first impression of restaurant outside, it looks quite nice. Entering we noticed not a single asian person in sight (in my opinion, that kind of indicates its halalness to me). Also there was an alcohol bar there (which TikTok reviews don't tell you). Waiter took our order and we waited approx 30 to 40 mins for our food. Also restaurant was really cold, we kept our coats over our shoulders throughout the duration. After food arrived, waiters did not come back until we had finished, to clear the table. Service was slow and they didn't come back once to ask if we wanted our drinks topped up or even if food was ok. Now for the food. Their starters range is not great. I would have thought they would at least have had chicken wings on the menu but the starter choices just doesn't go with the main vibe of the restaurant. We all skipped starters as there wasn't anything on the menu that appealed to us. For mains, my husband had T bone steak (medium), which was chewy. My sons had a Ribeye which they both didn't find very tasty, I had the chicken butterfly with mash and a mushroom sauce which was average, not much flavour. My daughters had a beef burger which they said was juicy inside but a little burnt on the outside. All in all, our bill came to just over £200, definitley not worth the food or the hour journey. East London has some great steak/burger restaurants that cost a lot less. As for TikTok, I wish people would give an honest review, rather than people that get paid to go and hype up a restaurant just because they're getting free food! They offer 5% discount if you make a TikTok video while your'e there and show them.

Poor customer service and extremely delayed in service

Amazing dinning experience every time! We use the Grill regularly and every time have encountered exceptional service, food and atmosphere. The waiting staff are very friendly and fast paced without mistakes in my experience. The kitchen and bar staff are also friendly and outgoing even though very busy they always produce excellent quality food and drinks (home to the best mojito I have had in comparison to a 5 star Cyprus bar). Will continue to return when we fancy a nice meal out/ treat for hard work. Definitely worth the visit and the value for money given the quality of food and service you will receive.

Not happy with last night We complained how cold we were on numerous occasions we got moved after bieng told the air conditioning could not be turned down as it controlled the kitchen 3 times we asked to be moved We were all seated at the table with our coats on when we got moved that was as bad The food was not worth the money A friend had scallops and said they were very poor Not a good experience

Service was fantastic and steak is up there with some of the best! Most places usually struggle serving a big table but everyone’s food came out at the same time and still hot. Will definitely be back!

If you want to be ignored for a while.... Sat at a table and ignored further then this is the place for you. Didn't even get disturbed with a drinks order to keep us distracted from the long wait times....... I hear the food is good.... But they could be better at retaining their customers.... Even with a smile and a drinks order. Shame.

Went here with the family for my sons birthday as he’s a massive steak fan. It was really disappointing, most of the food was overcooked / burnt. Had to send one course back as it was cremated. Really not up to the standard expected for such high prices. We won’t be going back.

I’m a regular here, purely because usually the steak is okay but I love the signature sauce. However, tonight there was only a table of 2 (us) and a 3. Two steaks were sent back because they were under cooked on the other table and then ours came out… my fillet stake, request medium rare was outright raw and cold in the middle but it looked like the chefs cigarette was more important. I sat there five minutes waiting to get someone’s attention but gave up and went looking myself to find the waiter/waitress sat at a table around the corner on their phones… a bit ridiculous. Then to add insult to injury the chef decided instead of cooking a new steak to throw my old one on the grill, burning all the edges from where it had been cut, such lazy practices from the chef and considering they only have 5 people in the building the really need to take a look at the standards and respect they have for the place they work and raise the bar a little bit.

Great range for meat eaters but not so much for vegetarians. Or pescatarians. We had seabass which was very nice. They have a good choice of drinks

Booked a table on line the day before and received their confirmation via email. Glad to have booked a table for pre theatre meal, we were amazed to find the restaurant CLOSED and had to go elsewhere. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE I live locally but could have come miles. Two out of five of our meals were Terrible, almost inedible. Food was so overcooked, almost cremated will never come back again

We went at 7:30pm on sunday, father's day, with a booking so I was dissapointed to find that the eveing was very chaotic. We ordered shortly after arrival and didn't get our food until an hour later, but maybe they were just very busy. The drinks were great & very strong. When we arrived we were sat at a sticky table that hadn't been wiped or set for the next guests and we had to ask for cutlery after our food was served because no one set the table even after we'd sat. The steak was lovely and the house sauce is delicious, the chicken was great too, but the burgers were such a dissapointment! We ordered a kid's burger from the kid's menu and a steak burger from the normal menu (£10 difference) and they came out the exact same size! Handful of meh fries, the meat inside both was good but the buns were cheap and it's shocking that the adult's burger is the same size as the kid's. By the time we arrived they were also out of so many things, which added to the feel that the whole restaurant was very disorganised (no draft soft drinks, no prawns at all, only 1 chicken left, etc). Throughout the evening no one checked on us and we kept having to get up to flag down waiters to ask for things like drink refills and remind them that we were missing the kid's dessert. I can't fault the staff's attitude. They were very polite and I'm sure were trying their best, but the whole evening felt very hectic. To top it off, we got given the wrong bill. I only noticed it was another table's bill because we waited so long for someone to come take the payment that I read through the receipt and realised it wasn't ours. These were all small mistakes that aren't a big deal but because they all happened one after the other it just lowered the standard of the evening. Considering this is a pretty expensive restaurant, I just expected more.

Very over priced. Steaks overcooked and tasted like the grill hadn't been cleaned in a while. Béarnaise sauce was disgusting. Not worth the money. However, staff was friendly and efficient, and cocktails were well made. Would not recommend and will not go back.

Starters are really good, deserts are nice and barman skills and his drinks are great. Sadly can’t say the same about the steak. It’s eatable but definitely not worth the £35+ There is a very fine line between medium-rare, medium and medium-well and unfortunately the chef is still looking for that one. You can also taste the burn grill taste on a stake that is sadly overpowering the taste of the actual steak. Overall place great for dinner I’d you want to impress your date but not so much for foodies or food critics.

The steak and mixed grill is very nice! The house sauce is so delicious and the bbq glaze is also very delicious. Been a few times, will definitely go again. Customer service really good. Really respectful towards people with allergies (cooked some food separately) :).

Having eaten in all 3 premises over the years this visit has been extremely disappointing. We were given a table upstairs. Which wasn’t a problem. There was 4 of us. The food itself was ok. The steaks are quite expensive. All 4 plates were stone...

First time visiting the new venue. We were seated upstairs which is when the disappointment began. Lack of staff covering the floor and the service was slow. Our orders did not arrive together and when the food did arrive the waitress leant over people to...

Came here with my partner, who had been here before, and really enjoyed it. We were greeted at the door and only pointed to our seats, which were strangely low down compared to the table. No waiter asked if we had any allergies, which luckily...

Fantastic birthday dinner with my family tonight 10 out of 5 stars to the team at The Grill Steakhouse. The steaks were prepared to perfection and the desserts 'to die for'. We will be back to visit again soon!
