we had the takeaway roast beef today. couldn't fault the dinner or the price. fantastic. will go back for roast pork next time. the selection of veg was brilliant, the roast potatoes were perfect and they had a choice of accompianments too. brilliant.

I had my first roast dinner delivered today. I was not disappointed, huge portion and very hot (didn’t even need warming) I will use this service again. Thank you very much

Sadly the quality has declined in a big way since my original 5 star review last spring . The last roast delivered to me was truly awful. The roast potatoes were obviously not fresh, in fact appeared to be a couple of days old as the inner had dried up and shrunken away from the rubbery outer. The smell and taste of the gravy was even worse and sadly therefore, everything was tainted . Unlike their usual delicious meaty gravy this was odd, almost like an old soiled dishcloth smell . It was literally nauseating and from the little I ate I felt queasy for the rest of the day. It went in the bin and I was extremely disappointed to not have my lunch and to have wasted my money. The saddest part though was when I contacted The Grill with a gentle grumble and was firmly told "well no one else has complained".

Well not a restaurant at all (although we we're having a Sunday lunch takeaway) unlike the image they portray online but a wooden shack on an industrial estate, that in itself wouldn't put me off if the food was up to a good standard. Unfortunately I have had much better elsewhere and to cap it all there was a long ginger hair nestled in the cabbage so it's fair to say never again! !

We enjoyed a lovely roast lunch, delivered to us. The meat was tender, we chose the beef option and a great selection of vegetables and great roast potatoes, and yummy gravy. Will definitely order again and would definitely recommend.

We have now had several deliveries from The Grill, mainly their Sunday roast dinners and all have been consistently excellent. They are a pleasure to deal with on the telephone and we are hoping they will continue to deliver excellent and tasty meals when the lockdown is over.

Sunday lunch, was very busy when we arrived but that didn't stop the amazing service we got. Carvery meat was turkey or beef, generous helpings of crispy potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and we helped ourselves to the vegetables on offer. Cauliflower cheese was superb, proper creamy and very cheesy like you would expect. Gravy to top it off was out if thus world! What I didn't expect is that my better half had paid for a carvery fir £9.99 and it came with a pudding ... Saying it was a pudding is an understatement. "Caramel platter" pure indulgence that I didn't know where to start but the pictures will show how lush it was and is. Will definately return, one to surely visit if you haven't been before. Had lovely carvery today, very tasty, followed by an amazing desserts. Such great value, large portions and top class food.

Been coming here for breakfasts in the mornings cannot say how much I love both the food and value, friendly staff and atmosphere. Tried the mixed grill amazing also great place for coffee as can be observed by the many local businesses stopping here on the breaks.

Me my other half and my parents went for breakfast, very busy, we managed to find a table and ordered our drinks. Not long after receiving drinks our food order was taken. Not much of a wait and the food was hot and great value for money. Also dogs allowed which was a massive plus.

Friendly staff, helpful and polite. Have eaten here a few times when on holidays (breakfasts and dinners), both on our own and with our Grandchildren. Despite what has been said on here the food was delicious and plentiful. Cooked well, hot and no sign of grease. Our grandchildren had no issues with the seating and the Sunday Dinners that we had were an absolute delight. If you have the opportunity, give them a go, you won’t regret it.

My toddler & I popped in for breakfast this morning as our usual place was closed. Wasn’t disappointed at all, welcoming staff, nicely presented cafe, hot & tasty food,(very large portions) ... can’t be faulted...looking forward to next time! :) Also, I seen another review commented on the food being ‘swimming in grease’ I have a real problem with stomaching greasy foods, I can honestly say this meal was not greasy!

Absolutely revolting, ran by an ignorant vile little man who makes being rude an art form.The food is swimming in grease, tastes of absolutely nothing, was cold when served has no atmosphere, would not go back in a million years. Horrible horrible place.

Like we said little gem of a cafe . Great at the end of a lovely walk . Very welcomed great friendly people

Great value food and lovely yummy food, we live local so go here often, allways have a lovely meal here every time we eat here, look forward to our next meal there.

Took my son here for Sunday lunch my first and last visit was not very impressed the price was OK but the seating area was not good wood seats that we're to high for my son to eat his dinner off!

My sister booked us in for Sunday Lunch whilst i was on holiday at hers.The Carvery consisted of a choice of plates,standard or large.i chose the large and it was massive with real generous portions of beef and turkey,lots of roast potato's and a very large yorkshire pudding and good choice of veg.It was so large i couldn't eat a pudding.
