The food was good, the service great. The food was prepared in a short time and the server checked with us several times to be sure everything was the way we wanted it.

My daughters 18th birthday meal , absolute disaster from start to finish met by a very miserable waiter who didn't bring a wine list , didn't bring bread to the table , had to ask to order food after 30 mins waiting and being the only table of 6 in the restaurant . Brought our starters 2 smoked salmon but different starters after checking which one he was giving me he still gave me the wrong one so ended up eating some of someone elses starter. Soup was awful, onion rings with steak tasted of fish, chicken was in a sauce/gravy it tasted awful and to top it off I had dropped the 18th birthday cake off in the afternoon so not to ruin the surprise the waiter came to the table and asked if we would like it sliced before he brought it to the table, I do believe it is not difficult to know you usually light the candles and sing happy birthday first . As he ruined the surprise completely I asked him to put it back in the box and I would take it home and do it myself. We complained they took 3 meals off the bill and assured me the owner would phone me on Monday 11th April I am not surprised to say I am still waiting. The only thing that was missing was Basil Fawlty it was a comedy of errors not so funny really but it was so bad you had to laugh just a shame it was my daughters 18th. Best advise I could give is DONT GO !

Esto es sólo un pequeño restaurante dentro de un hotel pequeño con un menú que no es particular, extenso, pero toda la comida es expresamente preparado y servido

My fiancé had the steak which was cooked to perfection whilst I opted for the chicken. Both cooked and prepared to perfection.

As someone one else has pointed out, it’s now called the Spey Inn. Was there earlier this week for lunch as in area and parents recommended it from a visit a year or so ago. It was quiet but we got a friendly welcome from the two members of staff. My parents commented on the size of the menu which has apparently changed and did seemed limited in choices. 3 of us ordered the Cullen Skink soup. It tasted fine but not much fish ands lots of potatoes. Three of us then had sandwiches, the Club sandwich was very good, well filled with bacon, tomato etc and was tasty. Me and my mum both had the egg mayonnaise sandwich. It looked different in that it was 2 whole slices of toast which I thought may have been included in the description. That said I can live with this, however what was very unusual and disappointing was the quantity of filling in these two sandwiches. It appeared that there was a smear of egg mayo as in the quantity of butter you would spread on a slice of bread (and in this case it was spread onto 2 slices of thick toast). Without exaggerating it appeared that 1 egg had been used to fill 2 sandwiches . The salad that accompanied it was nice and the fish and chips the other member of our group had was apparently good. We did mention it to the server who said he’d mention our views to the chef, but it just seemed odd. We also mentioned to a member of staff at an early stage of our visit, that there was no soap in the gents toilets (you could clearly see the soap dispenser was empty when you walked in), however when leaving some time later this had not been rectified, despite the fact the restaurant was not busy. It wasn’t a cheap lunch and it was fairly disappointing overall. Unless this was a one off, don’t think I would return.

Today I used my Brodie gift voucher for Afternoon Tea. My husband and I enjoyed the tastiest freshly made sandwiches, quiche, sausage roll and a variety of sweet treats. Although busy the staff were pleasant and helpful.
