clean well presented modern cafe style restaurant; serving traditional lamb on the bone curry with boiled rice and chana or veg. We choose the chana - everything was perfect - the meat & spicing delicious.

The best food in England is in there buffet, iv never had anything like it in a restaurant, it's amazing The staff are also amazing

It's an okay place, but the area where the grill is located is rather filthy and unpleasant. The food is okay, nothing special. Customer service is good and staff are good at catering.

Shame as the service was pretty good to be honest. Unfortunately the food was a big big let down. Very bland with no taste and the wrap was far from a wrap meal. I don't like leaving bad reviews but please look into this. Surely you can't serve these types of meals in this day and age.

Just ordered breakfast from this place… disgraceful. Unfortunately that was the only place opened close by, never ever again.

Good food but wrong to have higher price menu to give 50% off was a shock after travelling from far. Not good as not said on website or Facebook marketing about different price menu or items missing specially for the offer. Don't fall for it.

I’ve had to change this review. Was a 5 star but it’s gone a bit down hill. Breakfast and menu has gone more expensive but so has everywhere else. We need to toast the bread. Not put them in a pan. It was soggy Yea was great. Tomatoe was green still lol 😂. Mushrooms undercooked. It is what it is. But deffo gone downhill. I will be back for the lunch menu. And see what ray has to bring to the table.

Just popped in to The Grill. Nice little place with comfy seating. Had tawa for 2, good portion size and pricing. This consist of sheekh kebab, grilled chicken, tandoori chicken, chicken curry with chips and chapati. Friendly staff and good experience.

Without a doubt, 5 star from me! Nice location with copius parking right across the cafe. Got this deal from Groupon with grill mix for 2 for only £7. Yes, you heard that right. Got 2 succulent kebabs and 2 chicken tikkas with spice level on point. 1 decent portion of chicken curry complemented with 1 bowl of rice and a single chapati. Can't fault anything at this price. Got this cracking deal as a takeaway and food enough for 2 adults and 1 child. Will definitely visit again.

My first time here was lovely. I had the chicken steak. The perfect taste, perfect portion and great condiments. The atmosphere was pleasant and the prices were reasonable too. We returned again with my parents and they were very impressed. My mum and dad even commented that the jalfrezi was the best they had ever had. Now that's a compliment you should most definitely be proud of. This is my favourite place in Oldam for sure. See you again soon.

I was in oldham to see some family early in the morning so felt like a desi breakfast. Googled up and found this place called The Grill, first thought is its a beautiful place very spacious and friendly staff, also the place is very clean. I got the desi breakfast which as in the picture is daal, spicy omelette and a homemade paratha and a potato dish too. I didnt get the chaii as already had one before i came so i went for the fresh orange juice. The food was lovely and I have never been a fan of when they give a shana paratha so having the homemade one was a nice touch. I also got a grilled chicken burger to take away and again that was delicious. Price wise its very fair and affordable and would reccomend this place as it also does a halal english breakfast option too. If you in the area defo try it and im sure you wont b dissapointed.

Bought the tawa with a Groupon voucher. Food was very tasty, however I don't appreciate being forced to buy drinks when I asked for water.

Food was 10 /10 for me I've been back several times with friends and family from bradford etc the tava for 4 is just the best and I'm heading back tonight as really enjoy the whole experience keep up the great service guys

Customer service was good but the food wasn’t brilliant as I thought it would be due to other reviews. The desi tea was cold and very watery basically an English tea with Cardamon in it. Wouldn’t go again

Tbone steak was juicy and tasty

Although the menu has a limited choice it was tasty & well cooked, it did take a bit of time to arrive, but not worth complaining about. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Great table service with very attentive team. Hannah C looked after us very well. We really enjoyed our starters and the mains were both ample portions. Only negative was the pasta requested was penne but the ariabata was served with tagliatelle. All reasonably priced. We'll be back.

Well I wasn't sure what to expect when I found the hotel in a business park but I was quiet surprised. It is a lovely and vibrant place with full gym and pool facilities. From walking through the doors for check in to checking out the following day nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff here. Very friendly place will defiantly be back. Need yo promote hotel more as not very well known and didn't realise about all the facilities on offer here until check in

Arrived to a great welcome and more importantly a great cold John Smiths :-) Asked for a chicken dish and was offered a burger option with three times cooked chips or as the chef sees them, fries. Took the the edge of an otherwise pleasant experience.

Loved the White Bait & See Bass. Nice table, good service and friendly staff. Wine list was quite good as well.

On arrival from a long journey up to the North East, my colleagues and I decided to make the easy option of eating within the hotel's walls for our first evening meal as the menu looked lovely. Well decorated and warm welcoming was unfortunately the highlight of the meal. Over-priced starters pushed us away from those which left us with counting on a tasty main to satisfy our appetites. Two of us went for the chefs special beef pasta and duck which, aesthetically, looked appealing, however, the taste had little to boast about. The main issue of the meal was my other colleagues thai beef salad (£11) which was nothing more than a few rocket leaves and shoddy shreds of beef in an excessively spicy dressing which she ended up having a few bights of before sending back. Although the attentiveness at the start of the meal was good, the waiters were extremely slow for the remainder of the experience, not once checking if we were enjoying our meals during the night. To top it all off, my lime and soda came to £4, again, a profound mispricing. This disappointing experience can only be put down to it being a new restaurant and I hope for their sakes that they up their game soon as the rest of the hotel is perfect!

Beautiful food and excellent service. All courses were gorgeous and very well presented. All staff were friendly and helpful.

Ate here for four nights on a business trip as it was pre paid by my work. Not the greatest amount of choice for a four night stay and by the end of the week I was struggling not to repeat myself. Service was slow and sometimes there was only one member of staff covering the bar and restaurant. Even when there was no one else in the restaurant or lounge food was taking just over half an hour to arrive but on the up side it was always tasty and fresh. Probably wouldn't have eaten here every night but it was simple because it was pre paid.

Great choice of food. Fresh and cooked food warm. Did not have evening meal but had portion of chips and drinks in lounge. Lovely outdoor area.

Shared room with friend,asked to have double bed separated, Told no spare single linen at hotel. Breakfast next day over 1/2 hour late. Dinner told all members of group must be seated before orders taken, then such slow service ,we had no time to chat at the bar or use gym etc. Boom boom noise(music) no tune,07.00---23.00 hrs.

The restaurant food was very good and value for money. We choose items from a set menu so could have a three course meal for £25.00 which is affordable.

If a Grill restaurant can't manage to cook a nice mixed grill in reasonable time then don't risk the rest of the menu. Chicken was dry, ribs were almost meatless and the (allegedly) medium well done steak was drier than a Jacobs cream cracker. Staff were disinterested and rude and the beer cost £4.80. The Red Lion is in easy walking distance with a range of beers and a wide varied menu that is usually suberbly cooked with attentive staff, next time I will be eating there.

It’s not the first time that I have eaten in the Grill at Boldon, however with their new menu first class service and contemporary surroundings it really is worth a visit. Regardless if you are local and just want somewhere different to eat or staying in the hotel I can’t recommend "The Grill" highly enough. It is operated by staff, which smile, and quietly and efficiently go about giving you first class service and the food is of the same, first class. Too many good staff to pick out but the whole operation delivers a great atmosphere with home cooked / grill inspired menu.Highly Recommended.

My husband, son and I dined at the Grill Lounge and Bar on Friday evening after noticing adverts for the 'new' menu. What a great decision! The atmosphere and surroundings are very attractive, comfortable and welcoming - as are the staff - special mention to Peter. On to the food!! Having made our order we were pleasantly surprised to receive tasty appetisers while waiting for our starter - a very welcome touch - starters came and all of us enjoyed our choice, the mussels were delicious. Next the mains arrived - again they couldn't be faulted - generous portions all served piping hot, we sampled the moussaka, fish and chips and a pasta dish. All three could be recommended. The house red wine is particularly good too. All in all a really great meal which was super value for money - will be returning in the near future.
