Don’t know what the bad reviews are about ? I’ve went to this Chinese since I was a little girl and I would never go anywhere else. Phone staff is polite and so is desk staff. Phone is busy all the time because of how popular it is they don’t take I lt off the hook whenever I go in there it’s ringing straight away after each call. They deliver as quick as they can and always do their best. The food is beautiful and my go two order is house special curry egg fried rice chips and a portion of noodles and a can of Pepsi. Order this and you won’t be sorry😩😍 chicken chowmein is also beautiful and 211c which is a tray with egg fried rice noodles and curry and u can get 211g which is the same but with gravy I’ll put a pic. The chicken doesn’t come with 211g or 211c btw) portions are big not “too small” I usually share one meal with me and my boyfriend and we still leave quite a lot. I love this place

The best food around..Although service can be slow most of the time..but tbh..its well worth the wait. Best chow chein and curry. Proper home made chips..which are lovely

Got the orders wrong again! We ordered crispy beef but received chicken, ordered house special Szechuan and they decided to send deep fried. Twice in a row we’ve been left disappointed. We will not be using them again.

We ordered food to collect - the food was not ready and told to come back in 30 minutes- I got a call to say that there had been a mix up so they will deliver it - it came cold and nobody ate it - when I phoned to say how poor the food was it was agreed we could have our next food free- it was agreed next order was no charge - tonight I tried to order 2 meals - not more than what was owed and told “no- just one thing free “ I will never use this shop again- disgusted and feel robbed of £30

If you haven't ordered don't bother going in I orderd and told come back in 40 mins thing is I walked there so had no choice but to wait seems telephone orders take priority against walk in customers, so now I go elsewhere 🤔

Overall Simon’s is a really nice place, however it takes forever for food, I understand it’s busy, but other Chinese takeaways are as busy, if not busier and they cope better. Staff always come across a bit abrasive

IF YOU HAVENT ORDERED FROM SIMONS YET .. THEN YOUR MISSING OUT !! BEST CHINESE FOR MILES .. wouldn’t order anywhere else xx proper chippy chips and every dish I’ve ordered is amazing Don’t get me started on the honey chilli chicken and the house special roast duck .. I’m addicted !!

VERY friendly and helpful staff. Every meal we have had has been "top notch" and we have tried numerous. Definitely worth a try if you haven't already. We wouldn't go anywhere else now.

I never go any ware else for my curry and chow main.......

One of our main meals was missing when I called restaurant all they wanted to do was argue! Said they would send meal in an hour and a half and I would have to pay for their mistake! Thought the customer was alway right, what a joke and very impolite and greedy restaurant!!! Will not be back!!!

Food is very good, but you never no when they will be open. Sick of going and they are closed. The only day they are surposed to be closed is Tuesday.

Attitude of staff leaves a lot to be desired, rude, no manners taking its customers for granted. I was a regular every week but now take my business to China Cook on Westoe Road.

I normally like Simon and always got my Chinese there but unfortunately on Saturday night I got the same as always but the beef was inedible, I've never had meat as tough and chewy, even my dog couldn't chew it. 😢

Great local takeaway for scotchy and brockley whins, good value for money and proper chips, unlike most Chinese

It's obvious changes have been made and their for the worse-Used to be consistent with the quality and the way the meat was cut for the house special chow mein but not now,we couldn't even eat the beef in our meal tonight and we havn't bought their prawn crackers for a long time because now their sweeter and thicker too.

This is the best chinese takeaway we've come across in over 30 years.. And over the years we've tried a few different ones.. But we've always come back to Simons. Their meals are always perfect, generous servings and they will add or omit ingredients for you. We've used their takeaway for years and have missed them since covid-19 lockdown.

The food is always lovely from here... and the portions are bigger than some places.they will also modify recipes for you. The quality is always spot on. Compared to a lot of the chinese takeaway places out there i'd have this at the top of the list every time.

First time ordered Chinese from here as heard great reviews.We rang our order in before 6 and asked if we could pick up at 6.30. It was ready when we got there and was still hot when we got home,about 2 mile away.we had special fried rice, chicken chow me in,a very big bag of prawn crackers carton of curry and portion of chips.Meals were full of meat and lovely sauces.Only qualms would be chips could have been less crispy.Not sure how long it would have taken to be delivered was very busy but worth it.Will def be back again.

Better than most Chinese takeaways I've had in the past. Sauce, rice, noodle dishes are satisfactory. Not swimming in oil which is great. Battered options (Chipshop options) Are abit dry but still tasty nonetheless. Portions adequate, but for the price would expect just alittle more compared to other shops that price the same. I only order by delivery. Phone customer service could be abit more cheerie, always seem to be a rush. Overall will order again unless I find somwhere better.

This is a no nonsense non pretentious take away.The food is freshly cooked and hot. Don't know what the complainers are moaning about I've never had food swimming in grease, no more than I'd expect from a take away.You want gourmet, pay gourmet prices. This is honest chinese fare. End of.

Tried here a couple of times now and haven't enjoyed at all. The chicken in particular is like reconstituted processed cubes. Extremely unpleasant wouldn't return.

Great food sometimes portion size is a bit small

we decided on simons tonight and the food was disgusting!! the chips were all soaked all the way through with grease and the fish was no betta everything was binned!

The food was tasty enough when hungry but it was very cold. Needed microwaving. The chicken didn't seem fresh, more like frozen chicken strips. Should of known not to order a Chinese from a place called "Simons"

It's a small take a way but the food is good for the price. I've been going for two and a half years and had no complaints. The black bean sauce is magic

Very small portions of below average food at a high price. The chips are average but im sure they count them.

My fave Chinese takeaway. Good choice of food on the menu. I can recommend the ribs and most of the specials including the Da Da Chicken
