The menu is great, lamb shank shepperds pie was top of the meal’ everithing completed with top service from Lucian, our waiter.

One of the few restaurants with vegan options in the menu, we gonna come back for sure. Thank you Lucian!

Food was lovely (complements to the chef) and Bonnie provided us with amazing service. The car park was free to use. We will back!

Popped in for a quick pint (or 4) with a friend. We were warmly greeted by Sophie the bartender who made sure that what we ordered would be to our liking, letting us know that the IPA we ordered was cloudy and that if we preferred clear there was another option. Second order she asked how it was, 3rd order she was getting them ready. Really nice to get old school service from a bartender who took the time to chat and make sure we were enjoying our visit. We will be back.

The Griffin is a friendly and cosy pub with a decent and refreshed menu. The food is better than average pub fayre, and the beer selection is very good. Special mention to Megan, who is a stalwart of the place. She never lets her standards slip, even when busy and looks after every customer as if they are the only people there.

Loved our dinner at the Griffin, always guaranteed to be tasty, well presented and good value for money. Megan was looking after us - she was bubbly, efficient and obviously loves her job - so impressed.

Enjoyable evening, food was good and staff were accomadating to what we needed, they were polite and courteous.

Had a lovely meal here, fantastic service by Lucian, he was really attentive and cheery. Was extremely disappointed that the card machine did not accommodate for a tip, so unless you have cash it’s impossible. Would expect better from chef & brewer.

We went here for Sunday lunch. My rib of beef was good and nice and hot. My wife's roast beef was thin and had very little actual meat to it. The veg was lukewarm, the roast potatoes were undercooked on the outside and barely warm in the middle. The food arrived so quickly after we ordered that I suspect everything except the rib had been plated up for a while and sat around in the kitchen getting cold. The staff were friendly and attentive but were let down by the quality of food provided by the kitchen.

This is such a gem of a pub - great wine selection, fab pub food (Sunday roast is great value and extra pigs in blankets on the sides menu!), plus a lovely atmosphere. Open fire is on in the winter making it super cosy, and the outside space is good when the sun finally makes an appearance - always lots of tables and split smoking/non smoking spots. All good so far, yet it’s the staff who are the icing on the cake. So friendly and welcoming, especially Lucian, who greeted us with a big smile and for whom nothing was too much trouble. Great suggestions on the wine too, he’s an absolute credit to the Chef & Brewer brand - thanks team!

The food was absolutely disgusting. Mushroom toast- testeless and just normal bloomer from Tesco was pretending to be this amazing sourdough! Burgers- no wonder why you will not find more of the plain burger because all the adds on probably serve to kill the disgusting taste of the meat. This must be officially one of the worst burgers I have ever eaten. This was not a normal beef and definitely not a usual standard of Green King Pubs. Chips exactly the same- tasteless. Never eaten chips with vinegar but this was the 1st time to actually taste something. I got refund for burgers but to be honest every element deserves the refund! I will never go back and do not recommend and I wonder when Green King will start looking into the issue there.

Another lovely Sunday Lunch at the Griffin - as always, the place was very busy but we were served quickly and efficiently. A special mention to our Superstar waitress, Seyna who was rushed off her feet, but still took time to make sure all her covers were happy and had what they needed. She did not stop smiling and was very polite. The food was very good and the service was great. Cannot fault this place - the Manager and his team do a great job.

We were served by a beautiful lady called Seyna, she was always making sure we were OK, was helpful in making sure I got extra gravy and potatoes. Should have refunded my money, quite an amount. I have spent almost a week now trying to speak with someone in Head Office or the Pub. If you can get past their AI messaging you can leave a voicemail, but then you must rely that someone will call. Having used Twitter, FB, email and phone what else can I do other than despair! Sort this out..........I am not a happy bunnie.

Great environment, lovely staff. I had the vegan beyond burger which is always delicous. On this occasion the food was not very hot. Two of my group had the fish and chips which they enjoyed too. I do wish they would make nicer desserts for vegans which anyone can then enjoy. The sticky toffee pudding would be a great example! Also still no oat milk for coffee even though so many people with every type of diet now consume this.

Went here on a Friday evening, 15 minutes before the kitchen closed. They were happy to accept our order, waitresses were fantastic and helpful. Food was outstanding, would recommend. 🤓
