Staying locally for 1 night and popped in for a pint. A farmers Belgian blonde on tap but a really good choice of the usual. Welcoming and really friendly and smiling ( remember that) staff. Belting pint, relaxing and flipping reasonable price.

Over priced nasty!! I saw the kitchen door open and was really tempted just to lob my steak right back in like a leather shoe ..smack land on chefs head..had such a good aim..but I thought meh il just leave a crap review and not return.

My partner took me here for my birthday, and we had a lovely time. We were welcomed for drinks and an explanation of the menu options before being shown to our table, which was great. The food was genuine and flavourful, with a clear importance placed on local ingredients being used to their full potential. A extensive wine collection, once we'd picked a bottle the helpful wine waiter was happy to recommend something "similar but different" for a second- I can appreciate this isn't an easy feat! All in all, we had a lovely night at The Old Vicarage. All the staff were helpful and polite, and the food was exemplary.
