The staff hosted a pub quiz/raffle for me for charity. So generous and accommodating! Couldn’t recommend enough!!!!!!

Been here several times and have been surprised with how nice the food is, and I’m fussy. Very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly and attentive.

Clean and comfortable. Food was lovely, fantastic choice also gluten free menu. Reasonably priced staff very friendly.

Absolute amazing night playing bingo tonight!! Ed and the owners were absolutely brilliant, such a great laugh and cuddles with their adorable little baby pup 🥹 definitely recommend this place for its welcoming vibes and staff members and definitely the bingo haha. We had a make your own pizza party for my 8yr olds birthday. The staff were great with the boys who all really enjoyed making their pizza, great value for money too!

Food is lush, desert was great, atmosphere and the staff are lovely especially Chloe, Dan and Lauren, had a great time!

I went to the quiz night with some friends, and we all had a brilliant time! Great service, basically a great time was had by all, and we will definitely be going back again.

Very helpful staff. Lauren went above and beyond to help us as one of our party was gluten free, and she spent time talking through the menu and checking if we were happy with everything. Lovely good. Great atmosphere

Highly recommended Doggie Breakfast - 1st Saturday of every month. 10.30am - 12.00pm. Had a great time. Our two Labradors really enjoyed their chicken, sausages, peas and gravy breakfasts. They were made very welcome and met lots of new Doggie friends. The Human breakfast was excellent and a good variety to choose from on the menu. Lovely atmosphere and a nice way to treat your dog. Will be going on a regular basis. Nice to see a Pub offering such a dog friendly service. Thank you. 10 out of 10 for friendly service. 😀

We visited the Greyhound today, we booked a table online. We arrived and told Laura behind the bar we had a table booked. She asked us when it was booked and we said we booked it this morning. Reply was "oh then we wouldn't know about it" So luckily the pub was not busy as it looks like a table would not have been reserved for us. They found us a table and we took a seat, heading to the bar to order. Order placed we wanted to pay with a Love2Shop Purple Card which was a Christmas gift and we looked on the website and we could use in Marstons pubs and we used in The High Orchard last Sunday. The card kept declining, plenty of balance and checked with the manager it should be working and still nothing. Then to be told by laura "oh the manager went on some call about this we don't accept this anymore" okay. We paid on the normal card and took a seat, checked on the website again and you do accept it. Myself and my partner have both had recent Bariatric Surgery so ordered two kids meals plus a family members main meal. Meals come out, adults pizza great, two kids bbq burgers? not right, wrong chicken, wrong bun, no burger sauce, no BBQ. I politely say this is not what we ordered as what arrived was a chicken breast in an unseeded bun with the incorrect bits with it, the server takes the meals back to the kitchen, squirts a little BBQ sauce in them and brings them back! When I tell him again its not correct he says "its a smaller portion, its right!" getting at two adults are ordering kids meals? I am always transparent about it but it's clear it was a problem which upset us. I again said no, the issue is it should be fried chicken strips not breast, seeded bun not plain, bbq sauce not no sauce. So it gets sent back again. Comes back again, same bun, same cold chips, no sauce just the breast taken out and the strips put in. I say again that its wrong and I get told it does not get seeded buns or strips even after I showed the server it listed plain as day on the menu. I asked for it to be taken away due to it now being cold and not what was ordered. In the meantime, we asked for cutlery for the adults pizza which was being eaten... three times. searched all the tables and asked behind the bar! At this point I approached Laura again behind the bar and told her I wasn't happy and she would come to talk to us about it. She approached who I think is the GM and we overheard her say "just refund it" and sent poor Laura into the kitchen clutching a Childrens menu. Very clear the GM did not want to deal with it and send Laura over with a card machine to refund our food. Just the food, no drinks. That's fine, however no one asked how the Pizza was, offered to get us anything else or let us/ask us if we wanted to order anything else instead, then started ignoring us and not looking in our direction! So we ended up not eating anything whilst our family member ate on her own. We felt so upset and awkward we left half the drinks we still paid for on the tables and left. On the way out the GM looked away from us as we walked through the bar. No goodbye, no apology at any sort! Rudeness from the GM, upsetting unfriendly comments regarding our surgeries from the server and being fobbed off being told the food was one way when the menu states another! I guess its very telling that the pub was half empty at 2:30pm on a sunday and I wish they would of not had space for our booking they were not aware off! Please be more kind to dietary requirements, take vouchers and promotions that you advertise and serve the food you have in your menus! I would like a refund for the drinks we left and an apology at the very least!

Came in today had the ultimate burger. Was a lovely burger. staff were good and introduced themselves Lauren and Edwin, said the burger was good and they said they'll tell the chef James. Relaxed atmosphere here today about 1pm had a nice couple of hours here.

So the food was simply bad, the tables were filthy, so sticky I could feel my clothes coming off it, the glasses for drinking were dirty and sticky on the outside (my drink might have actually cleaned the inside of the cup, horrible). They got all of our orders wrong and we had to wait another 10 minutes until they got it right and they did it by simply adding the ingredients on top. The meats were awful and none of us ate it all. Don’t get the prawn cocktail. The watered down pepsi was nice. The toilets didn’t lock either

Excellent service from Dan and Lauren. And the quiz was very enjoyabe and good fun.

We had a very pleasant experience at The Greyhound - it was clean, plenty of tables free, service was good and the food was good for ‘pub grub’. We will come back again.

Came to the greyhound a few days ago. Food and drink was excellent. Very lovely atmosphere and customer service outstanding. Lauren and Ashleigh are just lush and very friendly. Defo would recommend and can’t wait to back in for a pint soon :)

Shocking pub going down hill very fast, if Lauren is working leave straight away no customer service wouldn’t go there again if you paid me.

I came in with family for some drinks and lunch on Sunday afternoon and was warmly welcomed by staff. The level of service when ordering was very attentive and friendly, all in all it was a very enjoyable experience and i would definitely recommend the pub to others.

Went for a pre-Christmas meal with a group who used to work.together. Very disappointing. Food was cold, gravy was so cold and lumpy it wouldn't actually poir from the jug. Vegetables were undercooked, in some cases raw. Coffee machine was broken. We ended up sending so much back, we actually gave up in the end. Quite expensive, we had to book and pay a deposit and we left very disappointed.

Shockingly bad lunch! Burgers were overdone, teeny spoknful of lettuce and cold⁶ chips. Fish and chips tasteless. Don't bother to hive them your custom on the ood front. Staff okay and venue nice but the chef must have been having a day off!!

Christams meal was awful- bar and serving staff lovely, but christmas meal- aunt bessie roasters, dried up carrotts, bits of fatty ends of turkey- i do have a picture, left a lot and server he asked me if wanted a to go box!! anyway xmas pud x2 both cold pud and custard- puds were solid- definately no temperature probe prior to going out to customers- waste of £90 for the 4 of us

For the price of the food, it os very good. Our fish n chips was big and really nice. Good food selection on the menu. Good selection of drinks. Comfy and not packed in seating. Nice staff and a good atmosphere. Mid week evening visit.

Paid for a pint with cash and was made to wait 5 mins whilst the bar man basically dissected the note to see if it was real.. then offered no gratitude after accepting it.. saw him still checking 5 minutes later.. absolute wet wipe... didn't see many people eating.. and the beer was below average

Lovely pub with friendly service!

Having been before a few years back and not enjoying the experience, I was sceptical to come again. However the atmosphere, the food, the quality of everything and the overall experience was lovely. The food came out hot and delicious. The staff were really friendly. Would definitely come back again.

We have been visiting the Grey Hound for 10+ years as a couple twice a month and with family and friends on special occasions and have always had a lovely time.But over the last few visits( 12 months )the standards have dropped with staff not seeming to be interested and the food bland and well below par.Last time we visited 2 months ago steak was tough 10 chips they forgot our onion rings that we ordered and garlic bread was cold ,but like most people i expect instead of complaining we were hungry so we ate it anyway and swore we would never go back.But today we thought we would give it one last shot 28/11/2024 only to be told by the Bar man when i went up to order food that the chef was on a 1hr lunch break.No excuse for this !!!! A Pub that supposed to serve food all day,so sadly wont be back.

We have frequented the Greyhound many times over the past year and always had a good experience when we’ve popped in for a drink. The food has always been average and there’s been a couple of times where it’s been a bit cold, but not enough to complain. However, we haven’t eaten there for a while and decided to go tonight, after work. I never usually write reviews, or complain, but the food was so bad and there’s a noticeable decline in the general running and atmosphere of the pub. My partner had to send his food back firstly, as his order was incorrect. The chips were black and the oil had clearly not been changed for a while. I had a pie and the top was inedible. It was so hard, you couldn’t get through it with a knife and fork, so I just ate the filling, which also wasn’t particularly hot. My partner complained and was asked if he’d like the manager to be fetched, but we didn’t want to cause a scene and felt like the staff should be equipped to deal with/resolve the matter. The girl was very friendly and apologetic, but we didn’t feel like anyone really cared that the food they had served us this evening was well below average. I won’t be spending my hard earned cash there on food again.

We book online and our details are not available in the system.. Offered a table and not clean and tidy glass and waste was there from previous customers. After 30 minutes I approach the counter and ask to clear the table.. Food was fully covered with sauce. So not able to get the real Taste.. ..

The rooms are suitably warm for November. Marsdon pub. Keeps and serves a quality ale but not so many options. Food expensive for what it is. Clearly overpriced for small options that might include things that dont. The cod and chips dish was expected to have a decent sized cod but looked more akin to a skinny small plaice with more batter than actual fish. At £13.50 expected better than this and probably overpriced by 50%. Guinness £5. Nice atmosphere with large screens showing sport without sound. Various seating areas. Not sure if a large retail pub chain is good for food nowadays. A cod and chips at the local chippy far better value when compated to recent visits.

Halloween Quiz night was so much fun ! I will definitely go to another quiz there. The questions were either answerable or at least guessable, some other pubs are too much like Mastermind!

Me my partner and my two children attended the Kids Halloween party This evening with a few extra people and I must admit In 2024, Nothing is usually free, but this kids party that You guys Threw was Above and beyond all of our expectations, The DJ was amazing and interactive, doing Spooky Pass the Parcel and Musical Statues, and for a free entry for everyone it really was amazing, and just to top it all off all the kids were given Goodiebags at the end full of Treats and toys. This was exceptional and One of the best Functions we've been to with our children! The Greyhound Pub were amazing and Friendly hosts.

We ordered 2 "8oz" sirloins, 1 scampi and 1 Hunters Chicken. All accompanied with just chips and frozen peas - what could possibly go wrong? The sirloins were small and one was 50% gristle. The chicken was so dry that it had to be ripped rather than cut with a knife. The peas were barely cooked and cold. The chips and the scampi were fine. All of the dishes were ordered from the "Main" menu, but very sparse - I can't imagine the size of the "lite bites" menu. Value for money - poor.

I was chatting to my friend when he arrived at the bar. I heard the barmaid a senior lady refuse to serve him because he had drunk enough. When he explained he hadn't had anything to drink she said " I can refuse to serve anyone I want . I've not been to this bar yet and from what I heard doesn't sound very friendly 😐

15 of us for a birthday , all the meals came out as ordered and hot . Reasonable prices and tasty . Staff were very good and attentive . Would recommend for a big party .

Wow 11 people we walked into an empty pub and they told us they have 2 groups coming in and basically didn’t want our money what we should have done was just sit at separate table and they would have made round £150.00 but his attitude was so unfriendly would never go back

Arrived and there was lots of parking space. Great friendly staff who can’t do enough to accommodate the customers. Very warm by the radiators.

Got the feeling the bar staff would rather be anywhere else, please and thank you cost nothing. My real disappointment was the 3 pound I paid for the bowl of 15 chips 🍟 yes 5 chips per pound . Very poor value for money.

We had an amazing time in the Greyhound catching up with friends. We all had steak and it was absolutely delicious. Thanks to Nicky and Tom for making our night out so enjoyable

I ordered a Philly cheese steak & was asked how I wanted the steak cooked (med/rare) turned up overdone. The baguette it was in was inedible, rock hard & chewy like it had been frozen. Meal supposedly changed but only the baguette which was pretty much the same, raw red onion & peppers and by this time my fries were cold!! My partners chicken burger was overcooked & also the hash brown & fries. Awful meal & when I advised the member of staff working today I was met with “ oh I’ll let them know” Shame as I quite liked it here but won’t be going back, awful food & service, don’t waste your money

Food was okay but nothing special. Didn't have half the menu so had to go to the bar three times to order. I'd recommend the King's Head at Upton which isn't far.

Having been sent a leaflet with 30% discount vouchers decided I would visit here today - the first time in many years. Showed vouchers to barman before ordering; he did not seem very familiar with them, But placed my order then told voucher was invalid; Left and went to Hare & Hounds a mile up the road instead! Never again!

We have had a fabulous meal this evening, my Husband had fish and chips and I had a chicken supreme pizza 🍕 with a few extra's - couldn't fault it 😋, would thoroughly recommend giving it a go for a meal.
