Went in, hadn’t been before. Unclear that it’s table service (in a small cafe which seems a bit strange) and we stood looking at the bakery cases for about 30 seconds. Was barked at by a woman that if we wanted to eat in we needed to stand by the cafe area - went and stood as directed. Nobody arrived for a good 5 mins to offer a table. When the young girl did arrive, she seemed unimpressed that she was having to deal with us. Left for 10 minutes without menus (menus not on tables in a cafe?), however the food didn’t take too long to arrive (brunch pancakes - back bacon with maple syrup and pancakes which seemed wrong somehow; it’s usually streaky and crispy? And a sausage bap which was rammed full of sausage - we should have bought an extra bap from the bakery counter and we’d have had enough sausages to fill both!) drinks were fine. The decor is fairly instagrammable (except for people like me who can’t be bothered to do things like that!) and it seemed fairly clean. However - it was a VERY expensive quick brunch, and I don’t think we’d probably visit again in a hurry just as the staff seemed unhappy to have customers (and there were a LOT of staff!)

I thought i would have a treat and i did not ask price my mistake £5.44 for 2 sausage rolls its abot 60 percent pastry as well what a rip off should of gone to Iceland and got 4 for half the price and I would not have over cooked them . Never again

I'm here for a few days working and thought I'd try this place for lunch.. it exceeded all my expectations!! Absolutely stunning sandwich and a cuppa for just over a tenner, I don't think you could get the same size, quality and freshness anywhere else for that price! Plus a little biscuit included with the cuppa - such a nice touch. I will 100% be visiting again before I go!

Visit to Jane's Pantry in Westgate street at 9.15am on Saturday 22nd June to purchase crusty rolls. The assistant said they are not as crusty as usual, in fact they were stale. I purchased them at full price and after getting them home threw them away as I found them inedible.

Huge variety on the salad bar, and great value, perfect for summer

We visited the Twigworth branch and really disappointed. Popped in after school and stood waiting for a good few minutes with no acknowledgement from the 3 staff from the counter (not even to say they'd be with me in a minute) It was only when another customer came to the front asked if I was being served that I was noticed despite clearly standing waiting. Bakery goods were I felt overpriced and weren't fantastic. Perhaps we caught staff on an off day? Or maybe it was because they closed within the hour. Such a shame.

I love the sandwiches in this place. I hate pre packed sandwiches. Its a little pricey but worth it. However the lady serving at the takeaway counter has this amazing knack of making you feel guilty for even asking for something. I asked for a particular bread roll and she picked up the wrong one and I was to scared to point this out..🤣 it's a bit of a joke at my workplace now. We even dare each other to go in. I will still keep going in just for a laugh 😃

Lovely food ruined by rude staff and poor customer service. After purchasing food and drinks for takeaway as we thought we were in a rush, we realised we had a little time so began to eat. Then one of the waiting staff came off the counter to tell us we weren’t allowed to sit there unless we paid extra. We completely understood this and politely apologised for the misunderstanding, however she carried on being rude about it for no reason even though we had already agreed to go. And the table area was almost empty - it wasn’t busy at all. I work in hospitality so I understand difficult customers, but the tone she spoke to us with was as if we were stealing. It was really uncomfortable especially since we were the only people of colour there.

wow wow wow..... best bakery in town, cream apple turnovers just as i remembered them scrumptious, my partner had a bacon bap (his guilty pleasure) which he said was one of the best he'd had in ages, i ordered a tuna mayo salad.... beautifully fresh and crisp and so much of it in the bowl it could feed four lol ..... very very impressed,

Amazing Bacon Brie and Cranberry roll. The Vanilla latte coffee was delicious too.

As with most places now I found it a little bit pricey The range of hot food was good I didn't get to see their sweet range

After ordering a meal on Deliveroo on Tuesday I was delighted with the quality and taste, so I re ordered a tuna sandwich the following day! Well this is where it became horrific! As I was chewing the sandwich I felt a sharp spike in my mouth which I thought wow a bone in tuna which could be possible, no….. it was a large chunk of plastic which had a spike on the end of it which absolutely could of killed me/cut my insides apart or choke!!! I made a formal Complain to Jane’s pantry and then the item was collected extremely fast. I was hoping a clear solution would be made and an offer of good will to resolve, they not only insulted me with an offer of a refund not for the whole order but just the tuna sandwich. And £30 in vouchers! So £34 refunded for nearly swallowing a blade? Please steer clear of this bakery to save yourself a headache of eating blades. It’s a shame I couldn’t come to a sensible solution. This will also be going to the papers and trust pilot

Highly recommend Jane's Pantry sandwiches, whether passing by after a walk (perhaps with your dog) or taking with you to an airport so you can a fresh bread sandwich as we have done this morning. The sandwich is enough for 2. Will set us up for our plane flight, awesome. Great service too.

I consistently have amazing lunches and everyone who serves me is always really kind. Great place! The sausage rolls are good too!!

Awful service! Polite staff but very very slow. 10 minutes for a double espresso, tea and flapjack. A gallon of coffee for a double espresso.

Clean, light and airy. Lovely coffee too. Excellent service from Colleen and all the staff. Happy place to sit looking out on King’s Square and have a little read of my book. What’s not to like?

I called into Jane's Pantry whilst exploring Gloucester before catching the bus back to my hotel, large latte and curry pasty very nice. Looking in the cabinets the cakes looked good as well. A range of seating comfy arm chairs and coffee table, bench seating at dining tables or if yhe weather's nice sit outside. Worth a visit if your in the area.

The driver arrive to us without the food so had to go back and get it.

I'm sorry for what I'm gonna say but!!!!! Greggs your sacked ,I've had to go back to Jane's ,first its for the flavour and secondly for the variety ,I'm done buying tasteless cakes ,I'm back to the proper baker in Glos and that's Janes pantry ,you may be a tad bit expensive but it's worth it in every bite 👍😂💞 I will be back very soon 💕😜

Big traditional pasty and lovely latte.........really enjoyed it! Also sat outside in the sunshine.

**Update** Thank you for response. I forgot to mention it was a take away service. I'm so happy to cover the cost of your business with my £7.50 where my sandwich must cost you maximum £1 and let's say additional £1 for a coffee. Just payed £9 for a egg mayo bap and double espresso! Wanted suport local business instead of going to chain sandwich shop next door. Never regret my decision harder than this. Please avoid this place if you what some honestly priced service! Shame on you!

Closing up for the day yet still was able to squeezy a sale of two coffees and a gingerbread man from the lovely owners. Thanks, my lad enjoyed his gingerbread man!

The lateness was not the drivers fault. I watched them after collection going all over the place - then realised that the venue had sent him to another shop to fulfill the order. Zero communication to me about this, I was kept waiting and the driver had to go out of their way. Terrible service from the restaurant.

Out in Gloucester the other day getting some birthday gifts. Me and my twin boys passed Jane's Pantry and they seen the cakes and wanted one obvs lol. We went in and I ordered coffee, boys had a shortbread and Easter doughnut and I had a Chelsea bun. The lady who took my order couldn't care less and I was completely putting her out just asking for a BLACK COFFEE! I then asked could we sit in and she said ....nope sorry! You have ordered off the wrong menu ??? After I paid...not clear at all that different menu and prices to sit in ??? The food was dry and horrible but the star of the show was the the disgusting Easter doughnut!!!! My boy ate 2 mouthfuls and spat it out . I tried it and ☢️🤮! Bizzare combination of flavours. The whole experience was dreadful!! Never AGAIN

Absolutely fabulous, the best bacon bap ever! Honesly you will not be disappointed if you fancy a nice quality bacon bap! :)

Excellent service. No white bread but alternative provided and apology note was a nice touch (wish others would follow suit). Will order again from here.

Popped in for a cake & a coffee early afternoon at the beginning of October. I had a latte with a vanilla shot (70p I think it was) plus a breakfast pasty. My wife had a tea and an iced snail bun, which are a highlight of any Jane's Pantry as far as we're both concerned. The lady who served us was polite, very courteous & greeted us with a smile & a 'good afternoon', something that is often overlooked. Shortly after we were seated our drinks, pasty and bun arrived. The tea was a little weak and the coffee was OK. I found the pasty to be quite dry, it was one of only two left and it was two o'clock so it may have been there a little while. But the snail bun was good, as expected. The 4 items cost over £15, which I think is alot, I might be wrong & I might be being a little 'scrooge-like' but that does seem a bit pricey to me. The seating area also seemed quite dark & dull, and needs a little brightening up. The loo wasn't particularly clean either.

Beautiful fresh tasting gammon and salad sandwich with crisps and orange juice.

2 out of the 3 staff on shift clearly didn't want to be there, grumpy and not at all helpful. There were 3 tables with people seated when we went in, they couldn't have managed with it much busier. They had NO gluten free food and the place was freezing, needed my coffee (half of which was on the saucer) to keep me warm. The loo was filthy too. I won't go back to this particular outlet and was quite disappointed as have been before and it was fine. On the other hand...Twigworth outlet gets 5/5.

I just had a coffee and a steak slice both were good. Although they don't allow dogs inside I was allowed to sit a the tables outside, friendly staff definitely go again.

The choice of food is great,but very bad service... I been there in 4th June,in morning time after 9.am, and in restaurants that time not have many people,but lady, what working there not to serve me and my friend from London. And not let to serve too two new girls.. I live in Gloucester,and this happened first time, when someone is not serving me..

Our food was 2 hours late. The driver didn't even seem to be bothered and was very rude when he asked where we are

This shop does great food my favourite is the gammon salad sandwich - fresh bread, butter, gammon ham, fresh salad - who could ask for more! They also helped me surprise my daughter with some cake for her birthday.

Went in for a pastry which was grossly overpriced at £3.95 to takeaway or £4.55 to takeaway. The woman working was not happy to be there and wouldn’t let me have it in a paper bag even though I would still pay to eat in. Pastry (broccoli, leek, cheese & cauliflower) had little filling and was dry. Always love their bread and butter pudding but was soured by the experience. Definitely not returning and wouldn’t advice going. The reviews are mainly positive so maybe I caught them on a bad day but won’t be returning.

The coffee and food were lovely. The bread for the toasty is ... Dear I sat it .. perfect. Service was a little slow but understandable when there is only two ladies trying to do everything. I felt abit sorry for them because they were trying thier best but it was fairly busy and there just wasn't enough staff. Food was great though!!

The food was brilliant always is from Jane’s Pantry. The delivery however was late. I also asked the person which was printed on my receipt to ring door bell and wait. He rang the doorbell but when I got to the door there was no sign of him and my food was on the doorstep. This would normally be not an issue but my front door is on a public pavement so anyone could have walked off with it that is why we ask people to wait.

Bacon sandwich was cold and the bacon wasn't cooked fully 🤢

I ordered 3 sandwiches and the cheese sandwich ordered which it says so on the receipt was actually replaced by a chicken sandwich as I am a vegetarian, I was obviously not impressed. The cheese straw orders was dry and inedible

Ordered some savoury and sweet treats for delivery for my parents wedding anniversary in lockdown, when we couldn't take them out for lunch. Staff offered to include a message for me, which was much appreciated. I thought it might be on a "with compliments" style slip. My Mum rang, she was delighted that the message was on the outside of the parcel, A4 size. Such a thoughtful touch. Parents enjoyed the food and said they'd had no idea Jane's Pantry did deliveries. You don't get this kind of extra touch from national suppliers, or if you do, they charge for it. Great local business.

Everything was yummy except for the cheese straws which were burnt. Great for a cheat lunch when you are working from home with a toddler!

This bakery has the best flapjacks, dripping cakes and sausage rolls that I've ever tasted. There's also a wide range of other sweet and savory items but these 3 items are a must. Lovely small inside seating area also available

Unfortunately the ordering isn’t good. Because you cannot see what the items are... I didn’t get what I expected to get. Also... to me, a “doughnut” is a nut that’s filled... these were fingers, cut open and filled. Which was a shame because it was a surprise as part of a birthday. We did what we could though. It isn’t the venues fault though. But I would recommend descriptions or photos.

Have passed Janes pantry many times when in Gloucester but today was the first time I have actually gone in and it won't be the last , A big choice of meals whether your looking for a snack or main meal, was very impressed with their New Vegan Menu though not Vegan myself but pescetarian I often choose from vegetarian or vegan menu when eating out and its usually very limited on choice but not today although today I decided to go for the Salmon fishcakes which I can recommend .It was so hard to choose as not used to having that much choice when eating out. Staff were helpful. and gave good service with a smile. Will be back to try the Vegan menu very soon.Nothing not to like
