Owner happy to let customers work behind bar etc. Phone calls to family prioritised by land lady. Dirty kitchen & has rat problem. Beer garden filthy & toilets never cleaned. Sticky bar

Went here on a Thursday afternoon not expecting anything in particular as we didn't know Tetbury. Located in town so easy to get too. We didn't eat here. This place has the look and feel of a community pub. Some children were playing on the pool table when we went here but they were good natured and well behaved. The bar staff were friendly and knew what they were talking about and helpful. We sat outside in the well used beer garden. It was a shame that there was a flat screen TV popped up against the wall outside that looked broken and there was a Mop and bucket discarded so the appearance was a little shabby. Prices were good there were no major issues. All in all this place looks good for local families but is a little run down which we were not expecting for Tetbury

Slightly disappointing, we had booked a table for two yet they hadn’t recieved our booking and gave the impression they didn’t want us there, on sunday’s they only serve meat so we left, which is fine however they should specify this on their website.

It’s not a bad place , outside seating area , reasonable ale , friendly staff Sadly ruined by foul mouthed local who will loudly throw a profanity over a table even with their children present .

I’m local to tetbury and the greyhound is always my first choice for a night out. There’s always a great atmosphere and the staff are fantastic!! I decided to hold my sons birthday party in their function room. The room hire and Buffett prices were extremely good value for money (a lot more food than I expected) and the staff really did go above and beyond to accommodate us. From a personal sit down meeting with Jo to book and arrange the details of the party to Tate, Casey, Becky and Aron with all their hard work Neil, the owner, is always so friendly and approachable. Thanks to all the staff at the greyhound for making my sons party so special.

¡Altamente recomendado!

Thanks to new owners who know what they are doing, want to make a difference, and a superb Head Chef, this place is really really good. The food is top notch - I have had a carver roast on Sunday which is superb. This time is was a choice of Lamb or Beef (I had both!) - cooked to perfection. Loads of roasties and good choice of veg. I also took my brother there for lunch a few days before, and opted for Tapas. Superb food and 3 for a tenner it was great quality. Skittles alley, function room at the back with Sky Sports. Highly recommend this place.

I came down to Tetbury to visit my family and we visited The Greyhound for a couple of drinks and a snack. We went for the tapas... amazing value, £10 for 3 tapas. The choice was fantastic. As for the food... WOW! I can honestly say its the best tapas I've ever had. We have local Spanish restaurants where I live and this knocks spots off them! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I spoke to the head chef, Tate and what a lovely girl she is. What makes this place even more unique is that ALL the food here is FRESH. Nothing frozen or microwaved and this shows in the quality.I cant reccomend this place enough. If you are in Tetbury you must come here. Thanks to all the staff, keep up the amazing work x

Popped in today for three take away coffees as I was watching Tetbury Youth play football and it’s right across the road, very good for visiting parents for a half time brew. Well I met a lovely bar lady in the street who pointed me in the right direction to find the pub as I was wondering around Tetbury like Stevie Wonder. Anyway finally i was shown to the place and to be fair it’s bloody stunning ! Well worth a trip if you ever go to Tetbury , I surely will be in there for a few beers at some point !!!!

The Greyhound has been refurbished to a high standard and is a lovely pub for a drink, it is Dog friendly at the front but not in the back eating area so great for everyone. We have eaten here 3 times first time the food was good but we had to wait near on an hour for it. We put this down to teething problems.

Following an excellent lunch the previous Sunday we returned. The roast was very good again and we were served by the chef from Slovakia who was most pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately the tables needed wiping and the bar was wet with spilt beer. We went to pay and after a long wait were served by a barman who didn't know how to opererate the till or card machine. My partner was asked twice for her PIN and told to come back if she found out she had been charged twice. He also said the machine was asking if she wanted to add on a tip and she said 'no'. She has worked many years in retail and knows how to operate card machines but he talked down to her and upset what had been a good lunch. Later she found he had added an unauthorised tip of 25p.We will not be returning!

My husband and I visited the Greyhound twice in one day as our holiday cottage was not quite ready. We enjoyed lunch then a drink later. Only thing lacking on the lunch menu were sandwiches but maybe that will come later as there is a new chef. Anyway, the staff couldn't have been more friendly, especially Megan who played with our dog non-stop when not working! And fed her doggy biscuits!

Have not been here since it closed, but having reopened under new ownership in January 2017, Wow! What a transformation. The place is amazing inside and out, the attention to detail and the quality of finish is superb and we loved the beer garden. Very unpretentious, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food and beer were excellent at reasonable prices. We felt having tried all the other pubs in town, that this one was the best all rounder. We just couldn't understand why it wasn't busier, but we will definitely be back. Keep up the good work and the place will be packed in no time!!!

We just dropped in for drinks late morning & sat outside in the courtyard. Recently re-opened this place is refreshingly different in that it hasn't been overdone - good interior and lovely outdoor space. Comfortable, clean, spacious, unpretentious, honest, and serving good beer - everything you want from a proper pub! The owner manager is super friendly and welcoming. The menu looked great. Selective proper pub dishes plus a specials board. The Sunday lunch sounds special, so our next visit will be for a family roast!

A lovely tea shop on the High St. I sat outside the front on the limited pavement seating. The staff were lovely and the food well presented. The pasty was though expensive and there was no wow factor. The ice bun was heavy and sticky. The coffee was delicious. Would return but not spend so much.

Stayed at Lower Mill Estate for three nights at the beginning of January, preempted a Sunday roast and booked for four adults and two children on Sunday afternoon at 14:00. Seated early which was great but a long time between ordering and actually receiving our meals. In the interim we were advised that they had run out of chicken breasts for the Sunday lunch, albeit disappointing but cannot be helped. I did not catch the waiters name but he offered us some complimentary olives which were gladly received. Four roast dinners arrived at the table and two children’s meals, all ok except the beef was inedible. One served as rare but I was unable to cut it even after asking for a second opinion from my husband, it was mostly fat. The second asked to be cooked well done was just a burnt end again completely inedible. The waiter did ask if everything was ok with the food but by the time we received it we were past the point of wanting an alternative if it was offered. Following this we waited for fifteen to twenty minutes to have a gin and tonic and a pint of lager in a near empty restaurant so we gave up before we were given the chance to ask for dessert. An okay experience by all accounts but the time waiting and the meal offered for the price made us question whether we will return. We may have been unlucky but just left a dampener on an otherwise lovely stay here.
