Quaint little chocolate shop and cafe, serving delicious hot chocolate, warm drinks and cakes amd offering various chocolate delights for visitors in need of a little 'pick me up'.Especially recommended as service is personable and the owner made our day. We entered just as the shop was closing in a cold and rainy August day. The owner was locking the doors and putting signs away, getting ready to close for the day. After he saw the look of disappointment on our faces, he graciously offered to accommodate us, literally opening the place only for us. Lovely gesture, great service and would encourage locals and visitors to support this local independent shop.

Simple chocolate themed cafe in Black Jack Street, Cirencester which is the cafe capital of the town. Now I'm not a big chocolate fan, well not chocolate bars anyway, but as we'd got a voucher from over two years ago we decided to visit and have a hot chocolate or milkshake plus a chocolate brownie. We both decided, as it was a warm summer's day to have milkshakes, I had a strawberry 🍓 shake whilst Mrs G opted for raspberry, which are made with Marshfields ice cream. Very nice. We then had the brownie accompanied by a ball each of Marshfields vanilla. So not being a particular brownie or chocolate van I was pleasantly surprised, the brownie was excellent. Drizzle Chocolate is a nice little cafe to sit and watch the world go by for half an hour or more, to enjoy a milkshake and the excellent chocolate brownie 😋

I was in Cirencester and bought a Marshfield ice cream from Drizzle Chocolate that was delicious. Unfortunately, the ice cream fell from my cornet as I sat down at a table in the alley way outside of the shop. Clumsy me! But the reaction from the staff was exceptional. The young lady that had served me had noticed my plight and came out of the shop insisting on replacing my ice cream free of charge. I doubt that any other shop's staff would have noticed let alone acted in such a supportive way. To those involved, I express my sincere thanks.

I visited Drizzle with my family today and all I can say is not only was the hot chocolate my wife had incredible, the lemon drizzle, delicious, and my milkshake, better than them all. The service the gentleman who served us gave was UNBELIEVABLE. Our 15 month old was causing havoc, no trouble what so ever, can we bring our dog? They even sell doggy ice cream (I didn't try it!) . He went out of his way to make us feel special and he succeeded. Yes, there are bigger more established coffee shops, but for a fantastic experience, go to Drizzle.

We stopped in to buy an icecream on Saturday 14 September and were ignored by staff because the younger lady was teaching the older lady staff member how to make coffee. We asked twice if the shop was open, and were told yes, but "I'm teaching her to make coffee". The coffee lesson then proceeded, but not before the staff exchanged a meaningful look when we disturbed them. We didn't disturb them any longer, and went to a much busier and more polite shop which sold us lovely icecream in a jiffy. The chocolatier was empty, by the way, in a busy shopping street.

We visited Dizzle Chocolate recently and enjoyed the hot chocolate and chocolate cake. The guy had run out of Brownie but the alternative was fresh and good. Unfortunately the shop was empty and actually looked a bit sad. There are so many excellent well established coffee shops in Cirencester that I can't see on his limited offering he can sustain the turnover to survive business rates and rents on a few chocolates drinks and ice creams. Looks a bit like a business dream that sadly didn't quite happen. I hope I'm wrong and he thrives. Time will tell.

I was in Cirencester for work and wanted to buy my wife some chocolates for Valentines. There were chocolates in a display counter, I was asked if I’d like to try one, I did and it was delicious. The staff (who were friendly) then recommended a heart shaped preprepared box. When I got it home and we tried some I was really disappointed. The quality was much lower, no better than any other box of chocolates, I’d say worse than Hotel Chocolat (which I’m not saying is an especially high bar).

Like so many reviewers my friend and I were drawn in by a Groupon offer. I had no problem booking and understand this is needed as it's a small cafe. We were greeted by very pleasant man who was very helpful. He was managing the cafe on his own but this was no problem. There was limited choice of cake, for which he was apologetic but we found choosing truffles instead very exciting! Hot chocolate was good, we were asked how we would like the hot chocolate and he offered to reheat if needed, as we were busy chatting! We weren't rushed at all and enjoyed catching up whilst endulging in the chocolates.

We had a Groupon voucher for ice-cream Sundae for two. The first problem was that you have to phone and make a reservation (really?! For an ice-cream?) and were told we could go on that day, but could go the next day. Trouble is, we're only in Cirencester roughly one day per week (we baby sit our grandson),Next time we were due to visit Cirencester we phoned ... and phoned ... and phoned, and left messages ... eventually, after sending a rather sniffy e-mail we managed to get through and made our reservation. Then comes the problem of parking: not really Drizzle's fault, but it is in a tiny side street, and parking in Cirencester is a total nightmare (especially since they started digging up the parking area in the middle of town. And when we arrived it was rather a mystery as to why we had to make a reservation: it was totally empty.Anyway, we eventually got our sundaes, and I was allowed a coffee rather than a cold drink, and the young lady even gave us a free scoop of ice cream for our 19-month old grandson. But I would have thought that making a Groupon offer was a way to bring new clients in to your establishment to give them a good time so that they would come back. The sundaes were strictly average and the whole experience means we wouldn't go back, and would warn others, as well.

We had purchased a voucher for sundaes and cold drinks, however, it was a rather wet summers day today and the friendly staff member said he was happy for us to have hot chocolates and cake instead if we wanted to. Both my boys decided they would stick to sundaes, one had strawberry and one had chocolate brownie, they were both delicious. While they were eating their sundaes me and my other half both had a coffee which we accompanied with a chocolate brownie and a piece of walnut cake, the coffee (mine was a decaf) was lovely and so were the cakes. Today I travelled to Cirencester to use 2 Groupons for £10 of Truffles offered at %50 off at £5.00.( 0ne for me and one as a gift for my mum). The shop and tables looked clean and tidy. The majority of Chocolates are unwrapped and on open an uncovered display in the middle of the room which is very unhygienic(even Thorntons keep their chocolates behind glass).I was browsing but could not fine a price on the chocolates although there were scales at the counter so presumably they are sold by the Kilo (as on the continent).A very nice Lady came over and asked if I needed help and I asked the price which was not forthcoming, I explained that I had Groupon coupons and was directed to the truffles at the end of the table and was told they contain alcohol and may contain nuts. I explained that that was not explained on the Groupon deal and that I did not want alcoholic ones for myself but chose Rum and Rasin in one bag for my mum. I got 11 truffles in the bag which weighed 104 grams (including packing) which would equate to about £100 /KG. The other voucher was for myself and I don't drink so I was offered an alternative of 20 orange rinds covered in chocolate which the lady let slip cost 20 p each so when I pointed out that that only equated to £4.00 and my coupon was supposed to be worth £10 I was then offered some violet creams/ Rasberrry creams or choc brazils. I chose violet (bad choice) and Rasberry (jummy) but started to eat them before I got home so don't know what they weighed. All chocolates were selected from the open display in the middle of the room by the nice Lady.Overall I was very disappointed with the experience and don't think I had value for money (even if you use the £5 price I actually paid for 104 grams that would be £50/Kg!) and given that other reviewers have received free truffles on departure that devalues my purchases even more!

Visited here at the weekend and popped in as was passing by and looked nice from the street. Very small cafe/shop with 3 tables and spotted one free to sit at to then notice it was reserved. Waited only a few minutes for another table to become free and ordered 2 ultimate hot chocolates. These were very nice but slightly over priced. Quite a few more people came in to sit at the reserved table and all of these were turned away as a groupon customer had reserved the table. I'm sure they lost a lot of money from this. The manager also seemed to open the door and hold it open with a door as I'm guessing she was hot but did not think to ask her customers of this was OK as it was the freezing and a very cold breeze coming through. We quickly drank up and left. Not impressed really with atmosphere, price of rude manager not concerned about customers.

From the moment that we were met by the owner (or at least I assume that he was the owner), the experience was a delight. The welcome and the attention that we received was excellent. The hot chocolate was great, with a choice of three; plain, caramel or strawberry. We were also offered three types of cake and to round things off we could choose two truffles each. We were surprised to have truffles as we thought that the Groupon offer was cake or truffles, not both.I don't know if this was in response to other comments, but there was also background music. We nearly didn't bother to use our voucher given the other reviews that had been submitted, but we are really glad that we did.

We were very bluntly and abruptly turned away despite the restaurant being empty and only planning to stay for a short while. We had also explained that we made a special journey for this visit as we are not local to Cirencester. One very upset little girl who was disappointed so ended up finding an alternative to visit instead. Terrible customer service!

Enjoyed a cream tea at this delightful shop tucked away in Cirencester. Not been to town before, temped by a deal for this place, great welcome to town. If been good weather good have sat outside, but heavy rain did not spoil experience. Very nice food, great staff. Loved the "Happiness" tea - would love to buy this. Chocolates quite amazing - not your average, not tasted anything like this - def hand made. Lush.

Chocolates are lovely, service is adequate, tea was good but coffee was bitter. Good value for what we paid.

Enjoyed our tea, scones and delicious chocolates! Bought some extras to take home too! Loved it! We visited on a Sunday afternoon, it was very quiet. Will definitely be back.

A rather haphazard setup. Waited long for service. Ordered an 'intense' - specifically described as 70% dark chocolate with a biscuit. Arrived with no biscuit or apology. When I asked where the biscuit was apparently they didn't have any. Instead I was offered some cake or a chocolate. We were also given free water as we waited a while to be served. Overall not an impressive experience.

Visited today for afternoon cream tea for two purchased via groupon. Very small with only 3 tables therefore we had to leave initially and return 30 minutes later. Cream tea consisted of a pot of tea each and a scone with clotted cream and jam and 2 chocolates each. The teapots looked dirty when served but the tea did taste good and was loose leafed. Scones and chocolates very nice. However we did order chocolate brownie Sunday for our daughter and they had no chocolate brownies and also mo squash. I also heard someone else order some strawberry ice cream which was also unavailable. Although staff were pleasant I wouldn't return!

Hidden away from the city-centre, this delightful refuge serves excellent (hand made) chocolate, ice-creams, "Afternoon Tea" hot and cold drinks - locally sourced where feasible. To top it off - superb (low level) music to set the scene! Richard - the owner was affable - without being intrusive - and a most gracious host. We wish him well in his business and recommend you stop by to sample their wares!

A lovely tea shop on the High St. I sat outside the front on the limited pavement seating. The staff were lovely and the food well presented. The pasty was though expensive and there was no wow factor. The ice bun was heavy and sticky. The coffee was delicious. Would return but not spend so much.

We stayed in SotW for a friends wedding locally. It appeared everyone had come upto the Cotswolds for wedding that weekends at the White Hart was our 5th attempt at finding a spot for dinner - turns out 5th time lucky it was! We had lovely service throughout dinner, fantastic food in a really lovely dining room. Would strongly recommend, nice selection of drinks and main meals, could well be a lovely spot for dinner for two or small groups as well visiting the area.

Fresh food, great service, child friendly too, what more could you want from a restaurant serving Sunday Lunch. We've just come back from Sunday Lunch at Roots + Seeds in Cirencester. Crispy beer batter on the fish, really chunky chips (not fries) silky smooth mushy peas pretty much a perfect combination. The young front of house team have been well trained to make everyone feel welcome too.

Up and coming place. Lovely chef, with great ideas for the place. Worth a visit. Had Sunday lunch, which was very nice. Good value for money. Can't wait to see what they can do..!! Well done!

The service was terrible…. a bunch of young girls who appeared to want to be elsewhere. We ordered tea and scones. We drank the tea and still no scones. When we asked about them we were rudely told “it’s coming” and she made no effort to check on them. They came 5 minutes later. We could see other people being treated as an inconvenience and being unhappy. Disappointing in a lovely village where everyone else is so friendly.
