Family celebration well catered for with more than adequate facilities.

A great Sunday roast. My wife was impressed with the vegetarian option. Really nice staff and good beer.

Great pub and function room upstairs had an open mic night with a good variety of acts. Poetry and music and very well organised and friendly. They cook and serve pizza at the bar and it is first class. Had a great evening here.

A delicious Sunday lunch. Pub was very busy but staff did not seem rushed or harassed. Parking is a bit of an issue though. The pub does not have a car park.

A very good Sunday lunch and lovely pint of stout. I tried a bit of my sister and niece's meal too. I could not fault anything. Good atmosphere - great for young children. Dog friendly. More expensive than Wetherspoons but quality food and drink.

Great atmosphere. Very friendly, fun and polite staff. Alcohol free pale ale and lager on draught. Vegan teriyaki burger was amazing. Great ambiance. Has lots of local artwork on display and for sale. Love this pub. There's a venue above that's separate that does comedy, music, life drawing, so this pub would be great to start your evening if attending that venue after. My son has recently moved to this area and I am now very envious as he has the best local pub on his doorstep. I'd thoroughly recommend this as an excellent pub for food, socialising and just a night out.

[Update: I've been in touch with Jen since writing this, who's been super helpful and understanding - sounds like my experience was a very unusual blip!] Worst customer service I have ever had. Ordered food at 915 (really hungry after finishing a long DIY day!). Asked about the food half an hour later, and they said they'd look into it. Another half our later I walked past the bar and they said they'd give me a refund as the kitchen closed at 930 and they hadn't put the order through when I placed it. Really expected an apology for not only not putting the food through - but these things happen - but also not telling me that when I asked and wasting another 30 mins of my time. Left very hungry and frustrated, and just missed other food options nearby that closed at 10.

A laid-back place with a wide variety of wines, suitable for family gatherings, and the staff is very friendly. Only pizza is served on Sundays. The pizza is delicious. It would be better if there were more toppings.

I DONT recommend for eating. And the staff are not friendly. The food and drinks are very expensive, I wouldn't recommend buying food here though. Expensive and not worth the money. The service are not that friendly and the atmosphere is ok but could be way better.

We love this pub & the food there, we have visited on multiple occasions. The staff are lovely and welcoming and we love the atmosphere. We just wish we had a Greenbank pub more local to Fishponds :)

Very nice pub in Easton. Has an upstairs event space for gigs or standup etc. Beer selection is okay but could be better.

I like this pub but I wouldn't go there for a roast again, the pizzas are much better that are served in the evening. Great drinks selection and kid friendly

We had 2 pork & 1 beef roast with a side of blue cheese leek gratin. Generous portions, great array of veg - all very tasty, an all round corker of a roast. Would highly recommend!

Discovered this gem by chance. Dog friendly narrows down our options. Wednesday lunchtime so pleasenty quiet. 3 of us had pizza and the 4th was a Greenbank burger, all lovely. Staff were very attentive too. A bit eclectic making it a highly recommended place to visit, great selection of beers and lagers too. We'll be back, hopefully not driving next time.....

Lovely high sinks in the gents. Easy on the back and less chance of embarrassing splash misshaps on the trou. Not to mention a blower to die for. My hands could not be cleaner and dryer. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Definitely more a crèche than a pub. An arrogant, blissful unawareness that regular folk might not want to spend their weekend with others noisy offspring, toys, strewn pizza and empty juice cartons. These parents are the awful middle-class cliché that their hipster aesthetic was designed to veil.

Nice pub. Friendly staff. Ordered a vegan pizza and a meaty one came out but this was rectified quickly and got a free drink as an apology. The vegan pizza was so nice.

Last time I was in this rubadub, it was a fairly unsavoury experience - mind you, that was over 25 years ago… now, it's a pleasant, roomy and welcoming space. Lots of choice to drink, inc coffee and some nicely mulled wine. Staff are busy, friendly & helpful. Pizza was filling and tasty, with that just-charred, but light yet slightly chewy thing going on, that I like. The playlist was rock classics, like the Who, the Doors and even a track by Yes… the chicken wings we had to fill in the chinks wasn't as satisfactory. The chip shop batter may have been crisp but dripped a sort of oily sweet&sour coating, which totally overwhelmed the subtlety flavoured blue cheese dip. I couldn't detect any taste of chicken at all. Won't be bothering with them again. But over-all, it's a pleasant place to meet, especially if you have children, and the wide choice of drinks, food & indeed, seating, marks it out as one of the more sociable of BS5’s public houses.

Love that this is our local, we are blessed! Great for families, super selection of drinks, pizzas are delicious as are the gochujang cauliflower wings! 😋

roast beef sunday lunch, beef was tough, otherwise ok well over £18 with extra charge . last time we had sunday lunch i was given a small portion of pork, maybe they were running short. not again thanks

Shocking quality of what looked like ultra-processed and frozen beef patties in the worst beef burger I've had for a while. We ordered 4 beef burgers and they were all identical in shape and taste. Imagine giving this to your child - never again. What happened to British pubs? Making a burger with real mince is easy as pie.

Quite good times. Mostly great staff. Good selection of lager but I’m not sure about how good the stock control is. The quiz needs to be more…. saucy. But in general a pretty solid boozer. Ps. It’s open until later than 2200. When I was there it was serving drinks to me until past 0200 - some of which I’m fairly sure were free - but to be fair the neighbours were really annoying.

super lovely pub in Bristol which does a really nice roast. I first thought there was too much grelavy but I was wrong, it was just enough and really good!

Having recently moved back to the area I was pleasantly surprised to find this wonderful pub has had a vast improvement since the 90's. Great atmosphere, great staff, and great food. We popped in for Sunday lunch and even though it was super busy they managed to squeeze us in, and good gravy I'm glad they did! One of the best roasts I've had in years all washed down with a very nice red wine

Had a really lovely Sunday roast here yesterday. Service was great and if you’re going out with mates but you’re on a budget they’ve got a smaller roast for £7.50 (still absolutely delicious) and glasses of wine for £5 which I think is very reasonable. Room for prams too which is great.

Absolutely in utter shock by the behaviour of the customer service at the GreenBank yesterday. Visited with some friends, all of us local Teachers. We had two tables next to each other , one in the walk way to which one particularly server tutted and made horrendous faces at us every-time she walked past it due to one of our children being ‘in the way’. Our kids sat beautifully, played double and coloured in. We were there for one beer, about an hour and were made to feel so unwelcome. The server’s words were ‘ I’ve never seen people look after their kids worse than you.’ Which totally shocked us and totally uncalled as they were amazing and sat lovely, not running about the pub. My friend is recovering from an operation and is currently battling cancer, he placed his bag on a chair rather than floor as he needed it close by and the stool was very rudely snatched away back to the table where no one sat. I’m totally gobsmacked. Server was clearly having a bad day, pub was busy and the team seemed under a lot of pressure. However , the same server got into a disagreement with one of our party about why she was being so rude and she didn’t handle it very well at all, aggressive and very defensive. Won’t be returning. Families are not made to feel welcome. Very rude staff. I don’t think they realise the impact or their behaviour on my friend and his young family who left feeling quite upset.

Good atmosphere and lovely pizza

I really like this pub. The beer selection is good and seems to change weekly with good selections from local breweries. The staff could be a bit more “smiley” but they are always attentive. I always enjoy going here and see it is family friendly.

Attended a party in the upstairs bar which was made a private space for the night. Great service from the staff, great pizza buffet laid on, too!

We hired the function room upstairs for a post wedding party and it was amazing. In the run up to the party, the staff we super helpful with planning food and drinks. The costs were really, really reasonable. All of our guests were amazed at how delicious the food was. Having somewhere so local that was able to make our special day even more special is a rare thing indeed. The staff on the night were amazing. And overall all of the Greenbank team made what is normally considered a stressful thing (planning a post wedding part) a really easy and chilled experience. I can't recommend this venue enough. 11/10

Ridiculously delicious mushroom burger, so filling and flavoursome, actually really good value for money in this economy, compared to a lot of meals in other places the same price that don't fill you up. Had a drink at around 23h last night. They have 2 floors. We stayed on the ground floor. It also has a nice rear garden with tables. Live music upstairs. Really cool and relaxed atmosphere although it was packed. Music is spot on, and they do have live music during the afternoons too. Local ales. Will come back, but maybe in the afternoon.

It’s okay. Not enough sour dough for the area. But the staff are slightly above average and the beers are locally sourced. Sometimes they have Italian digestifs but it’s not regular.

Agreeable updated clearly antique boozer in Greenbank, close to Easton. We enjoyed a terrific Sunday roast - we chose the pork, which came with lots of delicious crackling, Yorkshire Pud etc. With cauliflower cheese, another main and plenty of booze (wine, Bloody Mary, Stout), the bill came to £89.04 for three. Nice friendly service, including bringing drinks to tables. Only slight negative: the canned music was a bit loud and intrusive.

Having visited on a couple of occasions I've always felt the owner and staff think of themselves as a cut above. Sure there are some nice (overpriced!) local ales on offer but ultimately it is pretty bog standard in here. Much nicer, proper local pubs just a short walk away.

It's alrate, expensive for an Easton pub. They serve food, me friend ate and it was decent. It hasn't got much atmosphere, very much catering to middle class up and comers. I wouldn't go again with a friend unless they really wanted something to eat off the menu. It's te type of place I would take me mum if she was visiting. I will say if this is you thing then it will be perfect for you. Good range of beers and ales too. Mulled cider for the festive season although I did not try it.

One of the best things about Easton is the community vibe, and The Greenbank has been at the heart of the Easton Community for many years. A gorgeous, modern interior belies the traditional facade. Great beers and a friendly buzz.

Not as it has been in the past. But the newish look is ok. Shocked a pint was less than a fiver. Where the middle class lovelys in Easton go, as to scared to visit real pubs eg the plough or the Chelsea etc.

Lovely place. Great selection of beer, quaint garden for the smokers and a cheers style central bar. Fantastic food and alcohol. 5 star

The family came from far and wide to reunite and eat a delicious Sunday lunch together. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and excellent. We stayed for hours and when they needed the tables back, they let us spend some time together upstairs in the conference room. Highly recommended.

Nice pub, good food, wide range of drinks. A bit gentraspensive. I feel other pubs in the area. Red lion and the plough have more atmosphere.

Great pub. We go weekly and I usually get the chicken burger which is very good indeed! The pizzas are also nice. Pub with games is always a nice touch. The tables I find are always a bit sticky which is why I’m going for 4 stars and not 5..It’s something we’ve noticed every time so I’d get on that quick smart if I were you which I am not. A fine establishment indeed and I’ll certainly be going back next week for a big tasty chicken burger. Seeya then!

A really great pub! We came in as a party of 8 and we had a lovely experience. Great food, great pints and the staff were really nice. My father is in a scooter and the pub was fully accessible for him. There was a removable ramp to go into the pub and then there was a ramp to go to the accessible bathroom. It’s not always easy finding a pub that’s got mild accessibility, let alone one that’s fully accessible. Really appreciated. Would highly recommend.
