Home to so many wonderful gigs. Countless nights spent shooting images of amazing musicians. However one day the crowd was trying to knock me and my camera off my chair and that was not appreciated

I've been going to crofters for 3/4 years now and without a shadow of a doubt every single time we've ventured over they've never disappointed. The staff are well trained (compared to other venues in the area) they're friendly & professional & when I'm there I feel safe💙 our group go there multiple times a week now & we love it

Cool gigs, I've been here many times and always had a good time

It's a little pricier for a student but does great events and is a really cool place, from the aesthetic to the artists that have to perform, it remains a more exciting choice for a night out. If you don't know where you're going on a night out/late evening, id argue crofters will usually provide an exciting night.

Nice venue but very small so unless the band is virtually unknown it gets crowded

Sort of establishment where you feel you need a shower after visiting.

Bit cramped but nice venue and bar.

Toilets should be knocked down and sand blasted..worst loos I have ever seen in my life. Beers good though as I don 't drink a lot fair. Music is good, but that's people from outside the venue..you'd not catch bigger bands playing here..maybe Uni bands etc.

This experience was a true journey... There are many places you could go for a pizza... This is not like the rest... We were met by helpful and kind staff who well deserved their 12.5% tip because the questions clarifying what we truly needed and wanted were precise, pleasant and poetically delivered! In fact, my only regret is not tipping them the 15% that was on option. They deserved more! The grace with which our pizza was delivered was second to none. Apologies were made as to the pear shaped shape. luckily this is our favourite. WARNING NO MAYO ON OFFER (BYOM) this too shocked us. However, what they offer instead is a truly revolutionary replacement...oil.

Music venue with two rooms for gigs and serving craft beer and pizza. Beer is fine, I didn't try the food. There are just not enough seats in the pub and no cloak room so we had to keep our coats on for the entire concert. Also the toilets are down a tiny twisted staircase which is one way only so you need to wait for people to come up before going down, the men's toilet has no door so when you queue for the female loo you'll have guys standing peeing and wafts of urine.Not great

Came here to support my mates band that was playing, found out that they get 100% of revenues for the tickets after booking the room! Also they do a really nice Gluten Free Beer Overall had a great night and saw some awesome bands!

Patrons are bad, security ambivalent, incompetent. You can ask for help and they won't do anything until they literally see with their eyes. The manager misinforms (if not outright lies). The crowd is super self-centred, chauvinistic, and outright violent. If you want self-respect as a respectful human yourself don't go. Overpriced. I went to see a show with African music only all the DJs were ethnically white! Do they have any accountability towards Africa? Bar staff useless.

Great little pub/club for a late Friday night. DJs spinning disco and house. Apologies to the younger punters for our group of middle aged people turning up and making the place look less cool.

Great venue for hosting and seeing gigs, usually no issues when I'm there, however on this occasion the manager was a bit rude over something trivial. Other than that a positive experience.

Wonderful atmosphere with well priced drinks and a great range.

I love this venue mostly for the artists featured there. Be careful in the stairs if you want to go to the toilets

We arrived at 11 pm and had to pay £5 to enter into an empty place where a young girl were playing some kind of electronic music that I found boring. We asked to change the music but they refused. I had a drink and left.

Rude. They are very rude. I am a brown guy and went to a garage event cause I enjoy garage but I wish I never went cause they were very racist to me. People like crofters I don’t get why cause I went and got treated badly. Only want there cause my friend was working behind the bar but they fired him for being friends with first year like how pretentious are they. Never will go back and will hopefully get them banned from the earth. Discrimination is not needed in this society

Cool place to see local bands & bands on the up. Like many Bristol venues it's crazy loud and would recommend taking ear protection. Great selection of craft ales on tap.

Nice venue. Good beers. Staircase to the toilets can be a bit of a deathtrap after a few pints, but all good fun.

Fantastic venue. I came here on my own for a drink and felt right at home, comfortable to sit in the bar area, read my book and soak up the vibes. There was excellent live music in the venue at the back on a Monday night.

The Crofter's Rights is a legendary pub in Bristol, hosting a ton of gigs which I've had the pleasure of attending. The pub is very rustic, with limited seating and no outdoor section. Better use of the rooms could definitely be made. The show area is the highlight, giving great ambience to the bands and providing an acoustically sound environment. The all-black interior makes for unlimited possibilities with lights and immersion.

Had to pay to get in (6£ OTD) and was only allowed in after 11pm due to the DJ night that was scheduled. Interesting decor and vibe but not our style.

Love this place for atmosphere and drinks, but just be prepared for it to get devastatingly hot and sweaty on that dance floor if it's full 🥵

Great small venue ( 80 on the dancefloor is full ) all sorts of music , I recently went to an 18 to 25 year old drum & bass night , it was a great atmosphere for a Thursday night . Please know in advance to bring your I.D and no cash to buy drinks , just contactless.

Loads of sick gigs here and choice of beers. Go!

HORRIBLE STAFF. The staff here are beyond rude and nasty, had the worst experience with the female ‘manager’. She should be fired for how she speaks to others. Some staff forget that customers are actually human beings and to be kind or polite. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!! Filing a formal complaint against the female manager; a nasty piece of work

Independent Bar / events space showcasing new talent. Excellent selection of drinks and wonderfully friendly and attentive bar staff. Had a wonderful night out here.

Soundproof halls you could have missed NO:IR's soundbeats Friday night. The bar staff so accommodating and helpful. A nice joint to visit in Bristol

They host some decent nights out here but the drinks are overpriced and it feels like the events are often oversold. The main room gets packed and incredibly hot which generally ruins the vibe. Toilets are a near-death experience - going down a spiral staircase is a risk even if you’ve only had one drink! Security can also be quite rude about the no re-entry after 2am which seems a little odd to me.

Always a good time for a gig, friendly staff, good sound, toilets down a spiral staircase, what more could you ask for?

Great live music venue with a variety of music styles and absolutely outstanding selection of drinks! If you are in Bristol and want to have a good live music experience, definately visit this place!

Always enjoy Crofters Rights for live music and club nights. Beer selection is fab too! Toilets could really do with sprucing up though.

Disgusting toilets, and I’ve never experienced floors so sticky. I doubt the place has ever been cleaned. It’s only a matter of time before someone gets really ill from there!

Great place to watch bands and djs that play this classic Bristol venue. It's a bit more student/hipster than it used to be but it's still good and you can still catch a punk or rock band I there time to time. Decent range of beers but a bit on the expensive side, still worth a trip if these a decent gig on.

Bar girl is miserable and rude. Learn to smile and not give grief for not knowing a table number when there's two tables taken up. Sat in the garden right now and there's better service at birkenau

Gionatan Scali Band, brilliant set in intimate venue. Atmospheric pub, cool staff, great beers and ciders, in eclectic Stoke's Croft. Cellar toilets were clean and functional, amidst graffiti display. Great drinks and pizzas in garden bar just across the road. Perfect, great night 🌿🌿🌿

Got home at 5 so must have been good

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR CROFTERS RIGHTS MAIN BAR (not the Garden venue which is separate and lovely) Awesome live music in room two, bar team were nice & drinks reasonable . BUT experience completely ruined by the toilets - they were unclean, the stretch was so horrific it ran throughout entire bar, I’ve experienced better at festivals. I can’t believe the owners are willing to open in that state. I’m all for edgy, back to basics, graffiti blah blah but these toilets are honestly the worst I’ve ever experienced and I would never return or recommend for that reason.

Nice place staff were friendly and chatty ,service good , but there dace room has poor air conditioning and poor air flow .. so dancing is not a pleasurable experience

A guy pulled my sunglasses off me repeatedly and dragged a bit of my hair, attempted to rip my friends cowboy hat off and then another girl came up to us and told us he did the same thing to her! It was horrible and felt like bullying, was really upsetting we just wanted to enjoy our night and some guy was trying to degrade us. I told the security guards and straight away he said show me where he is and took him off the dance floor and escorted him out. I want to say a massive thank you to the security guard tonight, I enjoyed the rest of my night thankfully to this and I am so pleased he supported me and took care of us. The guy was twice my size so thank you to the security guard, he made us feel protected! Good knows what else he could of done xxx

Went to crofters last night, the staff were all lovely, particularly Candy. Will be returning it’s a brilliant night out.

Didn't have any thatchers and approached us like criminals when we asked to sit at the bar. Felt more comfortable outside on the street. Miss the glory days of the croft.

Great pub, range of beers and ciders clearly displayed and even labelled for the vegan options. There is a pizza 'bar' inside with some lovely looking pizzas and all available with vegan cheese. The small music venue at the back has a reputation for great gigs.

Great vibes. Haven’t been to a gig there, I’m mostly just there for the pub part. Wish they were open way more often. They have a better beer selection than their garden area across the street. Though would love more APA / West Coast IPA selections, as there were lots of hazy NEIPAs. Staff was friendly. They partner with Ray’s pizza which is great!

The sofas are bad. :( we like the gig room though. Wanky beer. Cider gave me gut rot, as cider does. The bartenders are cool 🤘

The drink covers are amazing ! Stops drink spilling and spiking But why they put shots in pint cups I don’t know And the loos are a crime against humanity

Would rather pee outside in an alley than use the toilets. Everyone’s drinks tasted off- vodka was definitely not vodka. Ciders vile. Proper grotty Good music venue! Good to have drink covers but honestly more worried about what’s in the drink itself.. weird

Smelly, dirty and that's just the punters...

Cool venue with so much potential (Which I have seen in the past) but in recent nights out at Crofters have been massively let down... I’m not sure what the capacity is at this venue but for the past 3 nightclub events I have attended there has been far too many people let in. It really effects the quality of the night, there is no space to dance which is rubbish when seeing your favourite DJ. It is so squashed it is on the verge of being dangerous, if people in an emergency are unable to make their way through the crowd, this is an unsafe place to dance. Consider this over the money you’re gaining on ticket sales before something bad happens to one of your customers. Also.. what’s up with the security? Awful AWFUL team, rude and manhandling ... they don’t make the customers feel safe, if anything more on edge. Was actually pushed of one of the platforms of the back of the club by one of the security staff.. Please fix up your capacity allowance and hire a new security team and return to the great club you once was.
