Over priced for what it was. Burnt bacon no sauce on food even tho asked for it on there. Rude service.

Take your business elsewhere! Real shame. Wanted to book for 2 weeks in advance a table for 6. Emailed a week ago- no response, called over 10 times across the weekend and week day/ evening in case they were busy- no one answered and I’ve still had no response. Will not be dining here and will recommend to avoid this place at all costs. Terrible service from a customers perspective!!

Great food, friendly and attentive staff even though they were busy. Amazing choice if cocktails and mocktails. Loved it and would highly recommend this place.

Found online and what a find. Wonderful vegan food, well presented by friendly staff. The Moving Mountain burger with green salad was super tasty, who needs meat? We'll be back soon.

Had high hopes for this place after reading reviews, how wrong was I. Firstly Google says they open at 10, their website says opens at 9.30. Tried to make a booking via chat as they were online but with no luck, so I eventually phoned to book for 10.30, turns out I needn't have booked as place was empty. I also asked what were the parking restrictions like here, lad replied he thought it was 1hour 30min, but he appeared not to have a clue or not give a damn. Well on arrival to this restaurant we realise there is only 1 hour parking, managed by Premier parking solutions, so obviously will have to rush our breakfast. We are shown to our table in an empty restaurant, this fills us with confidence. We choose our food and placed our order, only to be told that there would be a delay on receiving our food of approx 20 min because an engineer had just turned up to clean the fans in the kitchen. Yup like you would want to eat food from a kitchen that has just been cleaning fans with dirt and grease flying around. So we made our excuses and left. We expected so much more from an independent restaurant, shouldn't businesses be pulling out all the stops to look after customers in these turbulent times. It's not as if they were busy.

An absolute gem in the heart of Newton Abbot. I the restaurant before but found them on Uber eats and got some fantastic food delivered.

Wanted somewhere different for breakfast in Newton and stumbled across the is gem. My wife had the pancakes and I had the full English and it was all stunning. Lovely to find somewhere different and so far the best breakfast I’ve had in town

Went here for Sunday breakfast with my son and dog (love a dog friendly venue!). Was quiet when we arrived but got abit busier later. Warm welcome from staff on duty (might have been the owner Leah?). We chose full veggie breakfast and waffles with mascarpone and berries. Was all delicious and we will definitely come back especially as we could smell the roasts dinners being prepared and it smelt so good! Lovely and quirky venue.

Arranged to dine here for tapas night as something different and based on the strong online reviews. Unfortunately, the choices were disappointing. Gambas al ajillo were comprised of 8 of the smallest shrimp we have ever seen in a broth that did not have much garlic flavour. Paella rice was not completely cooked and grainy. Drinks were goo,d but remaining dishes (patatas bravas, calamares) were fine but nothing special and did not live up to what one can have in Spain as claimed. Perhaps cooking was a function of COVID staffing issues?

Beautiful Martinis in a great setting. Deserves a visit from anyone visiting the area. Lovely atmosphere

I have visited twice in the last 2 weeks and both times were great. The food is really good and the staff are very polite and helpful. Will definitely be returning :)

Had my first visit to the Green room on Thursday with friends and I wasn’t disappointed it’s a lovely place to eat.I had shredded beef nachos which was delicious with plenty of beef my friends had chicken nachos , plant burger and a vegan bean meal we all really enjoyed our meals, compliments to the chef. We didn’t have any cocktails but had a variety of soft drinks and coffee which is lovely .The staff are lovely,friendly and helpful and we can’t wait to go again hopefully to try one of the breakfasts which look mouthwatering.

Without doubt the worst burger and dirty fries I have ever eaten. the restaurant is dressed beautifully but don't let that fool you. The food was a complete disgrace. The burger patty tasted like a birds eye special, plastered with mayonnaise with very little or no flavour. The dirty fries were just macdonalds chips with packet of mince thrown on the top. The mince was like it was microwaved in its packet. Still stringy but completely stuck together like a cow pat. I can't express how bad this food was really, suffice to say i wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy. Definitely won't be going back any time time the near or distant future.

I came to the greenroom for breakfast with my friend when they were open, and it was some of the best food I’ve ever had I had to come back for dinner and desert. I’m glad to say I wasn’t disappointed and it’s honestly some of the best food I’ve ever had!

Excellent food and a nice welcome - a lovely start to Christmas.

After an original hiccup in ordering online which was handled well by the staff, we ordered again tonight and had a really delicious meal! The food is unusual in the best way and certainly not your run if the mill takeaway. We went for a Korean hot dog and crispy pork Bao, both packed with flavour and fresh ingredients and at a very reasonable price! Every item on the menu sounds amazing so we will be ordering again because now we just have to try them all, and I can't wait for our flavour adventure!

Can’t recommend this place enough.... really lovely decor, staff are so friendly and helpful, and not to mention the food! Wow amazing...... with plenty of vegan and veggie options too.... highly recommend the salt slaw .... yummy!!! Will be coming here a lot!!!

Celebrating a family birthday with the family. Good Covid precautions, great cocktails, nice ambience, fabulous Cow Burger! We will certainly return to try some more!

Had breakfast with my family. Amazing choices and fresh as a daisy. Great atmosphere and real friendly staff. Mine was the Full Monty and worth every penny I paid.

Can in for a chilled out coffee and snack and enjoyed the calm atmosphere, friendly staff and the food and coffee was great too.

This is a complete delight. The staff are charming, the food is wonderful and the whole place just has lovely feel to it. They deserve to do well, and we will most certainly be back. We recommend it unreservedly.

Amazing beef burger... possibly the best I've ever had... and I've had a few.

My son recommended The Green Room so my sister and I went there for lunch today. We were very pleased to see that they were very mindful of Covid issues and that the hand sanitiser was automatic (why don't all places have this?). We were greeted at the door by Chris who was very professional and respectful. We did not feel rushed nor were we left to linger too long. All of the menu appealed to us, but we ended up having the Fish Tacos and Boa Buns stuffed with pulled pork. Because we were greedy and it was our first visit, we also had crispy macaroni rolls and fries, oh, and also puds, lemon tart and warm chocolate brownie with ice cream followed by coffee. Well, you have to try these things, don't you. A special shout out to Chris and Karl who looked after us very well. We will return.

The best burger I have ever eaten and very friendly helpful service!

Would of given 3.5 the first half was 10 out of 10. The secound half felt like we was forgotten. As we had to go up to the counter to order dessert then once we got our desserts we then had to go and get cutlery after waiting over 10 mins when they said they would bring the cutlery ice cream almost completely melted. Disappointed in the secound half of service But cant fault the food 9 out of 10 for the chef.

What a stunning place. The food is just something else, BEAUTIFUL. My husband and I are allergic to a few things and the chef was so accommodating to our needs. The waiter was attentive and provided an amazing service. Fully recommend this restaurant 😁
