I go to the Green Parrot a lot with the grandkids when I'm looking after them. They love it here. Always interested in looking at the photos showing the history of Perranporth and having an activity sheet to colour in. The kids menu is great value and I'm a coeliac and always been well catered for. Staff always very helpful. Another plus is no dogs as especially as one of the grandkids is allergic and a bit dog phobic. Always clean too.

We arrived in Perranporth last Monday afternoon, and we decided to go for a drink in this Wetherspoons. I know we shouldn’t ask much from a spoons but the customer service was terrible. Upon arrival, there was 3 members of staff chatting amongst themselves behind the bar for a good 2-3 minutes. They could see us waiting, and I even made a comment to suggest we are waiting to be served , but the staff continued to stand in their little group chatting! Was finally served our drinks, and the female bar staff did apologise for the wait. The drinks were reasonably priced and tasted fresh, which helped counteract the bad service. Other members of my party went for breakfast here later in the week, and said that both the service and food were great on this occasion. The bar staff definitely need refresher training, as the customer service early last Monday evening was very poor! I am giving this review 3 stars due to the subsequent better service received (breakfast staff on Friday morning) and the quality of the food/drink on both occasions.

Another great Wetherspoons. Layout very nice and accomodating. Staff very good and pleasant throughout. We visited 3 times and were never disappointed, good selection of drinks at very good price- (Real Ale). Pity the car parking charges are so high- know nothing to do with the restaurant though - could put people off.

Always good be it coffee or something to eat.

Had a lovely Simple Breakfast of Porridge & Honey,With a very generous helping of Honey,My wife had Porridge & Blueberries,All washed down with black English decaffienated Tea for my Wife ans I,All for under a Tenner,Superb.

We had ramen noodles really good. Served by Felicity who was amazing. Our service was good unfortunately while being served we witnessed a manager name Charlotte berate a staff member who was reduced to tears.I have called and asked to speak to manager to let her know how bad it was but call never returned.

Dirty tables asked twice for them to be cleaned Food was not nice I have burger and chips and expected more then 14 chips and small overcooked burger We are local and would not eat at this place again

Decided to come here from Holywell Bay for our evening meal. It was a good place to pick as it wasn’t too busy, the staff were friendly and attentive the food and dessert was good and very reasonable the beer was also very good.The was a good friendly atmosphere in the pub and one that makes me want to return to it. All in all one to try and hopefully you will experience the same!

Cheap cheerful and easy for the kids. But not my personal favourite place in Perranporth. It's a big wetherspoons once you find it hidden off the main road. Very busy most of the time. Food is okay but suitable for families as it's got plenty of options for the kids, portions are okay, prices are reasonable, you know what you are getting.

Always a great place for lunch with the family, service with a smile good selection on the menu all cooked to please everyone what more can I say

We just had a long drive down from Hampshire & were quite peckish, So we popped in to our usual go to weatherspoons ,The Green Parrot Perranporth, We got ourselves a table & ordered food, We had the new Ramen Noodle Bowl, & we were not disappointed, This was very nice indeed, Just the right amount of kick if you like a bit of spice, Hope this is a keeper as we could eat that everyday, The menu overall is fantastic & affordable, & with a good selection of fine wines & beers,,This is a very comfortable cosy pub with a great atmosphere inside and out, The next morning we returned for breakfast, That's always a winner, With great choices, Thanks again guys, See you again in September.

Was on holiday had some food before hitting the beach and was nice to actually have food that wasn't over cooked in a weatherspoons pub

People always quick to bash the 'spoons but you can't beat the price and selection here. I loved the fact that the terrace out front was non-smoking so you could sit outside and enjoy a drink without having someone puffing away at the table next to you.

Visited here a few times over the years when holidaying in Cornwall. Food and service is great. You don't wait long for your food at all. Toilets are clean. Staff friendly.

Me and my family always go on holiday to Perranporth every year, and not once in the last six years have we been disappointed. ESPECIALLY during what I presume to be the busiest time of year. I do not usually write reviews however this morning I particularly have been delighted at the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the restaurant. One lady was coming around asking if peoples tables wanted wiping as she wanted to ensure the table was clean and tidy before guests started ordering. I have never seen this done before at spoons. Very caring staff and always have been.

Visited Perranporth and fell in love with the town, a truly beautiful treat. Popped into The Green Parrot at 8:00am for a bite to eat and the pub was deserted. The staff were more than happy to see us and treated in friendly fashion. Our breakfasts arrived in very good time and were precisely what we expected. You always have a fair idea of what you're going to get in a Wetherspoons establishment and The Green Parrot was no different. The quality of the cooked breakfast was certainly one of the better ones we've enjoyed in the chain, cooked nicely, hot and served well. No complaints here. Recommended.

We visited a few times whilst we stayed local. Was warmer outside than inside. Heard someone ask if they could turn the air con down as it was freezing in the pub . But it didn't happen. Had drinks and food which was nice.

Clean well presented spoons with like new glassware. Clean glasses is the first thing we look for. Was 5 star - but no check back.

Cheap drinks and menu to a budget. That said the food is perfectly adequate. Still no dogs, even on the terrace which doesn't require entering the establishment, odd given that Perranporth itself is dog friendly. If you have dogs and want them with you try the Tywarne Inn a hundred or so yards nearer the sea.

Super good food the place is so clean the staff very friendly beautiful smile when they bring the food to us 😊 😍 my family Love it there just 1 week we been there 3 time love this place ❤️ we will go there again soon 😊 thank you for having us 😊

Portions are a joke take aways are expensive in perranporth but you get enough to eat witherspoon give about 12 chips which is a joke

Drinks service a little slow, but more than made up by helpful and attentive waiter who helped us when we had ordered the wrong item.

Bar was out of malbec and fruity cider. Food was OK.

I guess this is a case of you get what you pay for, the prices as you would expect are pretty good, but the food is average at best, service was decent and apart from the bar lady saying they inly did 2 gins but actually had about 6 flavours behind the bar can't fault it, dissapointed with food though, kids fish and chips was at least twice the size of an adult double stack american burger.

The least dog friendly pub in Perranporth, I can totally understand dogs not being allowed inside, but I can't see any good reason why dogs are not even allowed anywhere in the garden or terrace area either.

A nice place to get meals that you would get at any Weatherspoons pub. It was not too busy, but we went in June. I can imagine standing room only in the holiday period.

Servers were all friendly and the service was good. The food was really good too.

What a great find very helpful staff and as always good food.

Bar staff were rude. Hot drinks machine seem to be breaking after dispensing a couple of drinks causing mass queues and annoyed people. They weren't even able to provide napkins and told to use toilet tissue! It's not particularly busy when I visited but food took almost an hour to arrive. When I able to get a Hot chocolate, it was just hot water with a bit of chocolate powder, absolutely rancid.

Very poor, of a branded pub to not allow dogs in any of its outdoor spaces very disappointing.

Food was average found what can only be described as a claw in my sons lasagne cheap enough but get what you pay for no under 18’s after 10.00 not even outside

The gardens, ponds and woodlands are absolutely gorgeous to meander around and their coffee and cake is delicious.

Been twice recently service was so slow a snail could move quicker and this is the quite period 😠 my second visit waited 5mins to be served by the bar person she completely ignored me and started serving the gentleman that came In after me I did mention I was next but was ignored, she asked another member of staff to help who went directly to a woman who had just come to the bar there where 3 of us waiting before her 🤬🤬🤬🤬 suggestion why don't you issue numbers out to customers so the staff now who is next to be served dread to think what it is going to be like when they are busy

Went twice during our week in Perranporth in September. Quite busy both times. Food was good and we spent pleasant evenings there with friends. Typical Wetherspoons and our friends from overseas were well impressed. Car park is a bit of a night mare ! Dont stay a minute longer that your time or you'll get a fine. Cost us £45

Decent steam on steak night and cheap. Recommended

great experience.. lovely friendly staff. well kept beers. good food. lovely outdoor space. amazing prices vs. the rest of the village less than half the price for a pint than the ty or watering hole and no dogs either. only minor gripe is there were three local chaps stood at the bar one night in earshot of us inc. my daughter using the f and c words and even the n word when referring to the england game on calling various players such names. this is hard to control in any pub but was offensive and the staff maybe should have had words.

Large Wetherspoons, lots of tables inside downstairs and upstairs plus large outside area. The establishment was clean. The food was tasty and served hot, the usual massive selection of drinks. Finally the staff were so friendly,some of the friendliest we have had the pleasure to come across, and they didn’t stop working they are a credit to the company.

It's very busy here in high season and they do struggle at times but in normal times, it's great. Food is the best I've had from a spoons and it's usually a fast service. Shame dogs no longer allowed in garden.😪

First visit to this splendid Wetherspoons. I know people say Wetherspoons is like McDonald's, they really aren't. Yes, the menu's are the same, but depending on the staff, standard of service differs a lot. I can say this one this one the staff were brilliant, very attentive, polite, helpful, quick at cleaning tables and the plate away. The Food was well cooked and hot, also a great atmosphere in there. Well done Green Parrot, Perranporth.

This is a nice wetherspoons, you could easily miss it as its set way back in a car park, although its very atmospheric once you're in there. The staff were kind and receptive, the bar is clean once again although it is a little on the small side. The food was hot and fresh and I enjoyed it, the bar was pretty busy for a while with people lunching then it died down and it was then quite open and warming. Its and oldy worldy type of wetherspoons with good wetherspoons food and wetherspoon prices. Overall a nice wetherspoons. Clean and friendly.

Excellent service. The gentleman who served us certainly went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed.Today we returned to the The Green Parrot for a family meal and it did not disappoint we were served by Zac and we recieved excellant service all done with a smile. Food excellant we had all empty plates at the end which with children shows they enjoyed it all and the price as always very acceptable thank you all.

Now this is the third Wetherspoons I've tried since coming back to the UK. The first 2 in Gloucester. This is the best!! I had breakfast at each of them. The one at this place was excellent. Specifically bacon not too salty, and most importantly, the food was hot!! I hate eating luke warm food which is cold before you finish it! This was spot on. Going again tomorrow for another. The waitress with the blue (or green)hair was very good. Even the water for my tea was hotter! I highly recommend this place

It's a typical Wetherspoon pub. But food is always good, cheap and quick to arrive. Good beer selection.
